Author's POV

Spencer's utterly shell-shocked as Morgan leads him to the living room. He just saw Anne die. He loves Anne more than he ever thought it possible to love another human being, and he already feels lost without her.

He was walking down street when somebody bumped into him, and he looked up. "Sorry." The petite woman said politely, twirling a strand of her shiny raven hair around her fingers.

Something about the woman unsettled Spencer, yet he was intrigued by her at the same time. "It's okay." He muttered, rubbing his thumbs and index fingers together.

The woman tucked her hair behind her ear, and reached out her hand. "I'm Anne." She announced with an intoxicatingly sweet smile upon her lips and a sparkle in her grey eyes.

Spencer wishes he'd never shaken her hand, because that was the beginning of the end for him. But at the same time, he can't imagine life without the woman who still remains a mystery to him. He doesn't even know her last name.

When Morgan leaves him sitting on the couch, he stands up catatonically and walks back to his bedroom where his lover has just died. The sight of the body doesn't make him feel anything, because the body isn't Anne, the body is simply a vessel in which Anne's soul used to live, Anne is still out there.

Spencer walks over to the body and pries the gun from its hands. He can't live without Anne, and he'd shoot himself if that was the only way to save their love.

With a steady hand, he presses the gun to his chest just as Morgan appears in the doorway, and he can feel that Anne is close by, just waiting for him.

"REID, NO!" Derek shouts desperately, but it's too late. The shot has already been fired.

Spencer falls to the ground with a thud, and he's swallowed by the overwhelming light. As he takes his last breath, the corners of his lips turn upwards in something reminiscent of a smile. And it was a smile, because he was happy when he died. He saw his Anne again, and she was wearing the most beautiful blue dress that Spencer had ever seen...
