Chapter 35:
"Dude, she was totally checking you out!"
"I don't care, dude. I already have a girlfriend."
"Well, I'm sure that Miss June is still hotter than her."
"My girl is very sexy and I'm sure if you see her, you're going to think twice before you say that," Freddie hissed at his friend. They were arguing about how Miss June looked at him flirtatiously earlier as she walked passed them. He was very glad that he and Sam are already in good terms and he doesn't want any drama in their life as of the moment. In fact, he wants it that way it is right now. No problems.
Gordon, Freddie's friend held her hand up in the air, "Whoa, easy there dude. I'm just saying that if you want Miss June, a kind of woman that every boy wants, that's fine with me. You can always give her to some boy deserving." He said referring to himself.
"Dude, listen. I'm not even attracted to Miss June. How many times do I have to say that before you understand what I'm saying? Beside's she just has the physical features every boy wants. She's too skinny for my type."
"I get it, dude. I just don't get it why you're not attracted with her." Gordon sighed.
"I told you I already have Sam, and I love her."
"Well, I have a girlfriend too but why am I still attracted to Miss June?" Freddie's friend challenged him.
"Well maybe you don't love your girlfriend as much as I do," Freddie replied haughtily.
"Asshole." Gordon gave up and cursed him.
"Fucktard," Freddie responded with his middle finger sticking out in front of Gordon's face. They glared at each other once more and faced their cubicles. Freddie wasn't sure why Gordon is always telling him that Miss June likes him. It seems like he likes their boss more than he does. He'd been through with this whole 'Miss June wants you, dude' things, and honestly, he really don't like it.
Miss June aside, he was really excited to have dinner with Sam tonight. It will be their first time to enjoy each other's company without the other keeping a secret or whatsoever. They we're going to have dinner at a Chinese restaurant and he can't wait to get off work. Actually, he was just reporting to their office because attendance must always be checked once a month and he can associate with his clients in any day.
Freddie was currently finishing the interior designs for Gibby's house, when he received a call from Gibby. Perfect timing, Freddie thought. Before he picked up his phone, he finished all the details to report to Gibby. After the fifth ring, he picked his phone beside him and answered it, "Freddie, here. I have good news for you, Gibs."
"Oh, okay. But I need your help, Fredward." Gibby replied, obviously not interested to whatever news he has in mind. Nonetheless, Freddie still announced it.
"I just finished the plans for the designs in the rooms of your house, and if you want to see it now, just tell me." Freddie said enthusiastically.
"Freddie, can we talk about that later? I really need your help now and I think I might faint if I don't say this out loud." Gibby said to him, half-screaming.
Freddie gave up on what he was going to say and decided to listen to Gibby. Besides, it looks like Gibby really needs it. "Okay, shoot. What do you want, Gibs?"
He heard Gibby inhale over the phone before talking to him. "Did I tell you that Carly and I had dinner last night?"
"Well, no. But what is troubling you? The fact that you already found the guts to ask Carly on a date? That's awesome, man! Though it took you several years." Freddie chuckled.
"I know, but that's not the point. Well, it's seems that our little date went a little… overboard."
"What do you mean, by that?" Freddie asked, totally confused.
"Overboard, man! We pushed things a little too far!" Gibby exclaimed.
"You mean you kissed?" Freddie smirked. Sometimes, Gibby can be a little exaggerated.
"No!" Gibby shouted totally frustrated. "Man, this is not charades! We had sex last night!"
"Naw!" Freddie laughed. "Dude, really?"
"YEAH! Do I sound like I'm playing a prank on you?"
"Chill, Gibs!" Freddie chuckled. "You are an overachiever!"
"Yes, yes. I'm really that we have mutual feelings but, I don't know what to do!"
"Hey listen, can we talk about this tomorrow? I really can't help you tonight because I'll have dinner with Sam later."
Freddie heard Gibby sigh in disappointment. "Okay, but can you come here tomorrow, early in the morning? I'll surely won't sleep over night."
"Sure, dude. You're just asking at the wrong time." Freddie said apologetically.
"No problem, dude. Enjoy your date with Sam." Gibby replied before cutting off the line.
Freddie smiled. Whatever Gibby's problem is he's sure that it will end the positive way. Freddie didn't even do anything for the past minutes; he just waited for their time to end. He never felt so giddy by just thinking of Sam!
At last when he saw the digital clock beside his documents strike 5:30, he hurriedly got up from his seat and gathered all the documents and blueprints he has and almost stuffed it inside his mailman bag. He closed his laptop carefully placed it inside his bag.
"Why are you in a hurry, Mr. Benson?" The sultry voice of their boss, Miss June called Freddie's attention. Freddie prepared his fake smile, he never really liked Miss June, and she was a little slutty in his opinion. Yeah, she was pretty, but her attractive façade, is always downgraded by what she wears. She always wears that skimpy clothes that really emphasizes her… womanly assets and only a foolish boy could stare at her drooling, and lusting over her body.
"Oh, Miss June," Freddie faked, "I'm having a dinner with someone and I don't want to be late picking her up." Freddie chuckled.
"You're having dinner with your… mother?"She guessed. Freddie mentally rolled his eyes. Really?
"Uh no, Miss. I'm actually having dinner with my girlfriend." He said quietly emphasizing the last word he said.
"Alright. Enjoy your date with your… girlfriend." Miss June smiled at him. Freddie knew better than that. As if that smile didn't mean anything. For all he knew he should be really careful in dealing with their boss.
Ignoring the earlier encounter, Freddie just scratched the back of his head and zipped his bag.
"Ughh," Sam moaned in delight. "This is one delicious dumpling!"
"Glad you liked their food here," Freddie smiled. Well, all has been going well this night.
"So, how's your day?"
"It was good. Nothing special, really." Freddie said, ignoring the fact that Miss June was kind of flirting with him. Again. He knows that Sam doesn't like it when Miss June gets close to him. After all, it might end up the both of them fighting over it. "How about yours?" He asked.
"It was fun. As usual. You know, there's never really a boring day with my midgets. They always brighten my day." Sam let out a contented sigh as she drank the last portion of her drink.
Hearing Sam saying that her students makes her day, Freddie made a face, making sure he'll catch her attention, "So, I don't really make you happy?"
Sam's eyebrows creased, almost making a line. Oops. Looks like she took Freddie's little act seriously. "No, I didn't say that, nub. Why would you think of that?" She then intertwined her fingers into his across the table and smiled at him as sweet as she could. "Fredbag, even though my midgets make me happy every day, no one can complete my day, I repeat, nobody can complete my day except you."
Freddie smiled back at Sam, "I'm glad to hear that. Though I'm not used at you being really sweet to me."
Sam wiped the corners of her mouth as Freddie paid their dinner, "You're not used? You don't like it when I'm being sweet?"
Freddie chuckled at Sam's reaction as he helped her stand by pulling her chair a little for her to get out, "No, sweets. I really like it. I just remember that when we were teens, your definition of being sweet is far different from what you are implying right now."
"I think you better get used to it," Sam smiled. "I like PDAing in front of people now. It gives me another kind of excitement, better than teasing or beating the hell out of you."
"Ouch," Freddie pretended to be hurt. "You're very violent."
Sam flashed him a smile in response and blew a kiss at Freddie's direction, "I love you too."
They both laughed at their actions and Freddie pulled Sam closer to him, "I love you more, sweets."
Sam faced him, closing the remaining gap between them and kissed him lightly in the lips, "I still love you more."
Freddie smiled at his girlfriend. Darn, how the hell did he deserve her? To think that he had hurt her feelings a lot of time, she still accepted, and loved him. He was such a lucky bastard.
"You still want to go somewhere or go home?" Freddie asked Sam.
"Nah, I know we're both tired from work. Let's head home." Sam squeezed his hand lightly as they headed to Freddie's car.
Freddie smiled. This is what exactly he's talking about.
Carly paced back and forth in her room. Since Sam and Freddie's problem has already been solved, they decided that she should just permanently stay with Cat, since she and Cat are compatible with Cat. She was having a dilemma whether she should tell Sam and Cat or she should just keep it to herself and wait for the time to tell it to them. She sighed. Well, the thing is, in her first date Gibby. She really never expected what would happen next. Gibby was just so… unpredictable. She can never guess what he'll do next like what her past boyfriends do whenever they go out, like whenever they go out, they'll have dinner first, and after that they will either go to the park and walk around, talk about things and when it's time for them to part their ways, her boyfriend will look at her deeply in the eyes, and give her a kiss. Well, she really got bored in that sequence of dating so when she said yes to Gibby, asking her if she would go out with him.
She expected the same thing will happen, since Gibby's was really shy when he asked her to go out with him, but since she really liked Gibby's company, she didn't hesitate to give it all her best shot at making herself look good, not only just presentable but really attractive in his eyes. She may admit it or not, she didn't just like Gibby, she was unconsciously attracted to him, physically, and what Gibby did on their date really made her like him more.
She didn't expect for them to kiss that early. They didn't even have their dinner yet, but they have already kissed. But she was more surprised to know that Gibby was such a good kisser. Carly laughed. When they had their dinner, God forbid, it was the most eventful dinner she ever had. For the first time in her life, she never cared if people looked at her weirdly, well to the both of them. After they finished dinner, she thought Gibby's going to drop her home, but yet again, he surprised her by driving the both of them to what seems to be a really immense, but unfinished house. She thought it only caught Gibby's attention and supposed they should check it out. After all, this night has been really eccentric for her, so why don't just be eccentric all the way?
"Let's go, Carls. I'm going to show you something." Gibby said excitingly as he opened the door for Carly.
"Wow," Carly stared at the half-finished house in awe. "Just how did you find this house, Gibs? Even though it's not finished yet, I can tell this house is going to be awesome!"She exclaimed.
Gibby looked at her weirdly, "Uh, yeah. Let's go inside."
Gibby took her hand and led her to the door. Much to add to Carly's happiness, her heart leaped when she felt the contact between her hands against the heat that Gibby's hands is producing. She quietly smiled, trying to contain the happiness she is feeling as of the moment. This is the best date she ever had!
"Hey Gibs, where exactly are we going?" Carly asked.
Gibby turned to face her and smiled as a reply to her question, "You'll see."
Carly almost jumped in happiness, except for the fact that they are currently walking in a dark house with no electricity and that Gibby seems to know the way they're going to take, and she has never been in this place before.
"Careful, Carls. We're going up." Gibby warned her as she felt stairs in front of her feet. Her free hand went to find the railings of the staircase and still depended on Gibby to lead the way.
"Okay, we're almost there." Gibby said.
"Great," Carly smiled. She can't wait to see what Gibby has in store for her to see.
"Oh, and by the way. I just didn't find this house, Carls. I own this place." Gibby informed Carly, which made the latter one blush because of her assumptions.
As the ascended to the last step in the stairs, Gibby led her to a very wide balcony illuminated by the moon's gleaming light.
"I know this isn't much but it really is beautiful," Gibby said earnestly referring to the thing that he's going to show to Carly.
"Okay. I'm sure it is."
Gibby took her hand once more and let her face the view from the balcony.
Carly gaped in the view she had just witnessed. The moon was very wide and it looks like she could almost reach it. The stars are like diamonds, shimmering in the vast sky, giving light to the dark sheet they are covering. It was mesmerizing.
"Oh, Gibby. It is beautiful." Carly said dreamily. She turned to face Gibby and realized that he isn't looking at the skies, he was looking at her intently. Studying her face, as if memorizing every single bit of it.
"I know. You know why I brought you here, Carls?" Gibby asked, never letting their eye contact break.
"Why?" Carly said softly.
"Because this gorgeous view always reminds me of how beautiful you are. Did you see how the stars shimmer? You're eyes glow just like them whenever I look into your eyes."
Gibby walked towards her and encircled his firm arms around her waist and rested his forehead into hers, "Can… Can I kiss you?"
Instead of giving a reply, Carly met Gibby's lips with hers and kissed him passionately, telling him that she submits herself to him.
And she did. In her past relationships, she had never had sex with someone in their first date, she was saving it for someone special and she can't believe that in her first date with Gibby, she completely, and willingly gave herself to him, not only once but… she can't even count how many times they did it.
Carly let out her frustration by screaming.
Almost immediately, a knock on the door was heard and without her consent, Cat emerged and slowly walked in to her room.
"Is everything okay, Carly?"
Being the extrovert she is, Carly can't control her mouth from saying anymore. She has to say it or else she'll lose her sanity and live the rest of her life as a hobo!
"Cat, I can't take anymore! I have to tell you this!"
"Tell me what?" Cat asked, confused by her actions.
"I gave my v-card to Gibby!" Carly blurted out. There. It wasn't so bad.
Right?
Merry Christmas everybody!
Sorry for the long wait, but here it is, and I focused a little on Cibby because their improving relationship will play a part on Sam and Freddie's lives.
