Chapter 35:

Lily woke that morning in the same position in which she fell asleep; her head on his chest with his arm wrapped around her except she woke with a headache, the worst headache you could ever imagine, despite this, as soon as she realised who was next to her, her stomach fluttered and she groaned, placing her hand to her head instantly regretting the noise she had made.

James slowly began to stir and he too was suffering with a headache "mmm" he murmured "Lily?"

She put her index finger to his lips swiftly and whispered "Shhh, don't speak"

"My head" he moaned

She nodded "I know, is there some kind of charm to cure a hangover or something? I've never needed a spell before" she said

"You've never been hung over before?"

"I've never let myself get this drunk" she moaned

James laughed and then hissed at himself "Wow Lil's, you've just hit an important life stage, it wouldn't be fair to let you not suffer the pain of it" he said taking out his wand and silently relieving himself of his headache, causing him to smile.

"James please tell me the spell" she pleaded

"Fine he said giving in to easily to her pleading emerald green eyes. He pulled out his wand and did the spell himself "Better?"

"Much" she smiled

"Now we have to piece together what happened last night" he grinned

"We played your stupid game for hours and then…I think we just ended up talking" she said

"That's what I've got to" he said concentrating hard "Ahh no drunk tells to tell then" he said

"Except when you were racing me and you tripped over that table" she said pointing to the table with the wonky leg with a huge smirk planted on her face.

"James rubbed his leg in the memory of it all "It's just a table" he said trying to shrug it off "Well what about you with your…you're failing attempt at handstands?"

"I can't do them, ok? and it doesn't help that even if I could I'd still look rubbish compared to you because of all your stupid training you do for quidditch you could walk around on your hands all day if you wanted too" She moaned.

He shrugged "You still ended up on the floor as a cursing heap on the floor"

"I know" she sighed

James laughed "Did you enjoy my game though?" he asked

She nodded "Yeah I did actually, but that doesn't mean with have to play it all the time" She smiled

"How about it becomes a holiday thing or a special weekend thing?" he suggested

"We'll see" she said "We'll see"

"You two took your time" Sirius said at lunch that day

Lily caught Sirius gaze knowing what he was suggesting "We got a bit hung-over" she told them "James' stupid game"

"You made her play drunk man's challenge!?" Sirius spurted out

James nodded

"How'd you manage that" Remus said with a smile on his face, almost impressed

"He tricked me into it, he made me promise to play a game of his choice, and guess what he picked" she scowled at James but she had a smile on her face all the same.

James shrugged "You enjoyed it though"

Peter laughed "I think we've got a bad influence on Lily" he said

"Wait wait, what?!" Marlene said "What the hell is drunk man's challenge"

"A stupid game with lots of alcohol" Remus said

"It's not stupid!?" Sirius defended

"It's a game where you set each other a challenge to do, if they don't complete it they have to drink"

"Which doesn't help if you're clumsy" Lily scowled "Even though I wasn't the one to fall over the table" Lily laughed, teasing towards James.

"It sounds stupid" Alice said

"Just because you don't like drinking" Frank told her

Alice shrugged and Frank wrapped his arm around her waist.

"So Marly, have you had a reply from your parents yet?" Sirius asked

She nodded with a small smile

"Are you staying?" Lily asked hoping the answer would be yes so that she'd have someone to keep her sane.

"Yeah" she smiled "My parents didn't think it'd be fair for you to have to put up with these for on your own" She joked with a laugh "No, they thought it'd be a good chance to get a holiday so yeah"

"Think this is going to be a good Christmas" James said

"Certainly interesting" Remus muttered to himself

"Well it is 3 days till Christmas" Peter said "I think we need to go and do something fun" he said

"Drunk man's challenge" Sirius suggested feeling left out he didn't get the chance to play it yesterday

"Are you trying to destroy my insides with alcohol?" Lily asked

"Yes" he said pointedly with a smile

"I'm up for it" James said

"Yeah me too" Marlene said, "It actually sounded pretty good"

"I can't believe I'm saying this but if we are can we do it in the heads common room so we don't get caught"

"Do you guys mind if I don't, It's just I don't want to be late for the train tomorrow, and I haven't finished packing yet" Mary said

"Same with me" Alice said

Frank nodded "think I'm going to have to give it a miss too"

"That's acceptable" Remus shrugged

They all bid there fair wells, which must have taken far over an hour, as soon as they were close to saying goodbye they'd bring up a talking point and have to go through it all again, but in their defence they were a tight group of friends and they weren't going to see each other for two weeks, of course they were going to miss each other.

"I am glad to announce that the first ever team drunk man's challenge is now official about to begin" Sirius announced with a huge grin on his face at his luck of going with Marlene

Lily was paired with Remus and James with Peter, to her slight disappointment, but at least she'd get to spend the whole Christmas holiday with him.

'Damm it Lily' she cursed herself in her head, she briefly put her hand to her stomach in attempt to push away the butterflies.

"Right everyone, drink up" Sirius announced with a smirk planted on his face.

SO SO SO Sorry it's late (again :L) but hey the last one was early. My excuse is that I was out at a party Saturday night and I tried to finish it before I went but it would have been short and not very good quality, and today I had a lot of drama going on, so that is why I am posting it today. Once again I am sooooooo sorry!:L Hope you forgive me and like this chapter and PLEASE REVIEW
