Patch didn't care for the graceful and sophisticated way to beat the shit out of a person. If there even was one. All he wanted was to make Hank pay for everything he's done; and the best way to do that was bash his teeth in. No point in sugar coating it.

He found the grate that lead right into the room where Hank was, he knew that he promised to save Nora but this was more important. Scott was with her, she was safe. Patch smashed his foot against the grate sending it crashing to the ground. He jumped down and was face to face with Hank Millar.

"Patch. I should have known this was your doing." He smiled smugly and crossed his arms. "Well I suspect you want to kill me."

"Damn straight!" he shouted without hesitating. Patch went for the switch blade he had in his back pocket.

Hank just merely lifted an eyebrow, "am I supposed to be intimidated by that weak little blade?"

Patch smiled menacingly "You should be, it's an archangel blade you pretentious dick."

His face fell, "You're bluffing. You wouldn't have that in your procession."

"You wanna bet fucker?" Patch said.

"You got me there," Hank reached for the pistol that was tucked in the back of his waistband. He aimed it squarely between Patch's obsidian eyes. "This can go two ways: I shoot you and you fall over unconscious for a week or two, or you dodge it and kill me."

"You know what I'll pick so why stall?" He sensed movement behind him. Patch ducked as Hank pulled the trigger, the bullet whizzing past his head and lodging itself in the neck of the nephil behind him. Patch quickly slid on his knees to Hank, he wasn't fast enough. One bullet grazed his face as Patch sliced open Hank's leg sending him to a knee.

Another shot rang out, this one slammed against Patch's rib. He lashed out slicing Hanks arm. The gun clattered to the ground as Hank grabbed Patch's wrist. They were both wrestling on their knees. The knife was deadly to both of them; failure was not an option for either of them.

This was Scotts plan: he was going to use Nora as a decoy and wait for Dante to open the door. He'll then ambush him, using the dark to his advantage. After that he'll go run and meet up with Patch and the other fallen.

They were about to put the plan to action when they heard the gun shots. Three of them; probably seconds or maybe a minute or two apart. Nora was frozen in the dark, fear gripped her heart. Please don't be Patch. She pleaded. Please don't be Patch.

Scott grabbed her shoulders "Don't worry," His brotherly nature kicked in. It overdrived his fear; Patch or no Patch he had to get Nora. He wasn't going to let her rot here anymore. He hugged Nora again, "Patch is fine but right now we have to get you out of here." He held her face; he could imagine her scared look in his mind. "Just as we planned, Nora."

She nodded slowly "okay." Her voice was weak and gentle, but mostly scared. Not for herself, she trusted Scott with her life; she was more scared for Patch wherever he was.

Scott let go of her face and stood on the other side of the door praying Dante doesn't swing the door and crush his face. "Go ahead, just don't say anything so insulting he swings open the door and break my face. This is what brings the hoes in."

Nora made a quick giggle "in that case I'll insult his mom so he does."

"That's cold Nora." Scott teased.

"No I think it's the room." She replied.

The small banter helped Nora regain herself. Patch always finds a way. She stood where she hung and licked her frost bitten lips. "Hey Dante your face looks like a dog took a nasty shit." She shouted.

"Shut the fuck up Grey." Dante shouted through the door.

"Why don't you come and say that to my face! I bet you don't have the balls to do it!" Her throat burned from the strain. Tears burned her eyes from the pain of screaming. But she had to continue. Do it for Scott. Do it for Patch.

"I would watch it if I were you."

"What would you do to me? You're too much of a pussy to do anything to me; Hank would roast your balls in Hibachi like he was Hannibal." She laughed; it was actually pretty clever on her part. "I'd bet they'd taste like shriveled up raisins doused in fucking vinegar."

"That's it you little cunt!" he shouted angrily swinging the door open. The light burned her eyes as he slammed her against the cold wall his hand over her mouth. "The Black Hand said for me not to harm you but he said nothing about me fucking you blind." He snarled.

"Not if I can handle it!" Scott shouted ramming a switchblade knife in Dante's back. Dante yelped in pain as he let Nora go. Scott grabbed her hand and led her out of the fridge. He slammed the door shut locking Dante inside. "Okay lets book it." He said leading her down the hall, the multiple sounds of fighting growing closer.

"We can't leave yet we have to get Patch!" Nora shouted.

"Fuck him we have to get you out of here! Patch can take care of himself!" Scott shouted.

Nora snatched her wrist away "No!" she skidded back, "I'm not leaving without Patch!" Nora ran towards the gunshots. Her legs burned from being so lifeless but she had to keep running.

Scott was faster however. He came up behind her and grabbed her by the shoulders, "sorry Nora you can get me for this later." He then punched her across the jaw and everything went black.

Nora crumpled into Scott's arms unconscious. He sighed and picked her up carrying her in his arms like she was a child. "I'm sorry but I promised Patch."

"Scott," Patch sat across from Scott smoking a cigarette. "Tonight I'm going to kill Hank Millar. When we find Nora I want you to get her out, don't wait for me. Get her to safety and stay with her. Keep her safe at all cost. If I don't make it tell her I love her." He pulled the cigarette away from his mouth, "promise me you'll keep her safe Scott."

"I promise Patch." Scott said to himself as he tossed her over his shoulder and started running, her body flopping against his back. "Hate me all you want Nora but I keep my promises."
