Niles cleared off Maxwell's desk, moving his papers onto the various shelves and drawers. He wheeled the cart of desserts into the office, setting up the trays of cookies and brownies. Laughing to himself, he added the icing to each of the desserts. Chocolate chip was CC's favorite, and he knew she wouldn't be able to resist them, especially with her craving after quitting smoking.
"Niles!" Fran's voice came from the hall.
"Where are the chocolate cookies? The whole jar is empty!"
Niles shut the door to the office, hoping Fran wouldn't find them before CC got into the office. The door opened, however, and she barged in, her eyes wide at the room full of desserts. "What is all of this?"
"Miss Babcock quit smoking, I'm simply trying to help her."
Fran walked slowly around the desk which was now piled with desserts. "Oh my god..."
"Great, isn't it?"
The brunette smiled, shaking her head. "She's going to be bigger than my mother after all of this."
Niles smiled. Sometimes he even impressed himself. "Oh, this is just the start!"
Fran laughed. "Good luck, Niles. I'll leave you with the buffet!" Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her sneak a cookie off of the pile.
