A/N: GUYS OMG I FORGOT TO POST THIS CHAPTER I SERIOUSLY HATE MYSELF OMG. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE CHAPTER 37 FUCK! IM SO SORRY
Bobby called us immediately after learning what happened and demanded we come to his house. We couldn't reject Bobby's request and drove to South Dakota the next day.
Between the three of us, we were still quiet. I didn't know how long we were going to stay at Bobby's, but I hoped it would be enough time where I could go and search for some answers.
"What the hell happened back there. I thought you three were dead," was the first thing Bobby said when we walked through the door.
"Nice to see you too, Bobby," Dean walked in and went straight to the fridge for a beer.
"You know a call would have been nice."
"Sorry, Bobby we were a little tied up," Sam said genuinely.
Bobby took a deep breath and calmed down a little, "Well are you three at least okay?"
"For now," Dean answered, "You know until this big bad wolf comes for Sam's head."
We explained to Bobby about Lilith and how she sees Sam as a threat and competition. For now, we were going to hang low until we knew what to do and go about the situation.
"Well now that you three idgits are here, I'm going to need more booze," Bobby grabbed his keys from the cabinet, "Make yourselves comfortable."
"Thanks Bobby," I took my bag up to the room I normally stay in when we stay overnight.
I tossed my bag to the side and fell face first onto the hard mattress. I took the pillow and jammed my face into it. I cried, I sobbed, and I screamed. Every emotion that could possibly go through my body was revealed through the tears running down my face.
Life had never been this hard, I didn't know how to stop it.
I don't know how long I was crying, but soon I fell into the deep emptiness of sleep.
/
SAM'S POV
"Is she still up there?" Dean asked as I descended from the stairs.
"Yeah," I nodded and sat back at the table with Bobby and Dean, "She's sleeping."
"Sleeping? Now?"
"Yeah. Look, we really need to talk about this."
"Yeah I know," Dean sighed, "We've been procrastinating this situation for too long."
"Dean, I don't think you understand the severity of her condition."
"Of her condition?" Bobby asked.
"Oh, what and you do?" Dean said, slightly offended.
"No, no. I didn't. Not until the night back at the prison." I thought back to the active night. I remember seeing Maddie out of the corner of my eye, fighting the demons as if the fight was to easy for her. Then, when she moved on to help me…she looked at me…and her eyes… "She helped me against a demon. But her eyes…her eyes weren't normal."
"You gotta clarify son or else we'll be here all day," Bobby said.
I sighed, "The hazel in her eyes were silver. Sharp looking silver. I have never seen anything like it before. It wasn't like a demons where they whole eye changes, it was only her eye color. But they weren't grey."
"Sam, that was a horrible night and we were all getting beat up—"
"I was imagining it Dean," I replied louder than I intended it to. Dean stared at me intently. Bobby was glancing between the two of us. I took a swig of my beer before continuing, "When a demon got a hold of her, I heard him say that he thought she was a myth."
"That Maddie was a myth?" Bobby asked.
"Yes," I answered, "Then she said something about him being not so ugly," I guessed. The exact details were still fuzzy, "After she beat him to the ground she froze and didn't take her eyes off the corner of the room. Look, I am telling you she knows something more about that night."
"Okay, let's go back to the time we found her back in the parking lot and she almost damn fainted on us." Dean said, suddenly becoming more and more involved in the conversation.
"She said she ran into a demon, but then it got away," I explained to Bobby, "But when we found her she was in complete shock. She couldn't even mutter a word. She said she caught off guard."
"And lets not forget her time warping with that vampire." Dean pointed, "We should make a list…" He twisted his body looking for pen and paper.
"She what?!" Bobby spat.
"Oh!" Dean jumped. "Casey," he snapped trying to remember something, "the demon in Ohio, you know the one cold banging the priest. She said Maddie was the war. Almost like she was the winning prize."
"Why would she be a prize? People want prizes, the demons want her dead." I said.
"Maybe not all of them do," Dean shrugged trying to keep his cool but I could tell that the conversation was increasing his heart rate.
"All this was happening to your little sister, and you two dumb-shits didn't even bother to call me?" Bobby glared.
"I guess," Dean sighed and put his head in his hands, "I guess I didn't know how serious this was before laying down all the facts. I didn't know really how abnormal her actions were."
"You think this has anything do with the scar on the back of her neck?" I asked.
"I forgot about that weird scar," Dena admitted, "There is no way she got that from falling down the stairs. That is just a bullshit story authored by dad. So how do we figure this out?"
"We should start by talking to her. Find out what we don't know. Then, I say look for whatever the quality is that she has that attracts the demons."
I decided to keep whatever I saw when Yellow Eyes took me back to the night when mom died. How the both of us had demon blood, but some unknown thing tried to save her. Obviously, it didn't.

MADDIE'S POV:
I walked down stairs after making sure that my makeup was cleared and my eyes were red and puffy. By the time I woke up it was 10 AM the next day. I had never gotten more than eight hours of sleep in what felt like a lifetime yet I still felt extremely tired.
I trudged downstairs and poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down at the table. Dean was already sitting there with his own coffee and piece of toast that had only one bite in it. I took it from his plate.
"Hey," He tried to snatch it back but I held my hand back.
"I bet that was your second breakfast, now hush." I gave a small smirk, "Where is Sam and Bobby?"
"Right here," Sam slammed some books down on the kitchen table in between Dean and I.
I jumped at first. Bobby was right behind him.
"What's this?" I asked.
"We'll get to that," Dean said leaned forward in his chair, "But we have to know what we're looking into first."
"I'm lost," I looked at Bobby to give me some background of what the hell was going on but for some reason it was making my hands sweaty.
"Obviously, something is going on with you," Bobby said quietly, "Darling, we want to help you, but you gotta let us help you."
"Oh," I whispered and took another sip of my coffee.
"Why aren't you talking to us, Madds?" Sam took the seat next to me.
"I mean do you even care Sam?" I laughed, "Because this whole time, we have been only worrying about Dean's dying life, and your alliance with a demon. Now we have Lilith to worry about. As far as I'm concerned, my life seems in the clear right now compared to you two."
"You know that's not true," Dean said, "You have saving your own life for god knows long now. Your keeping secrets, Maddie."
"We're all keeping secrets from each other," I couldn't help the glance I casted at Sam. I thought about what Holsman said to me. Sam knew something important about me but I had no clue what it could be. "There will always be secrets."
"You're right. You're absolutely right and now is the time to come clean. Please."
"I told you we would help you out with this when we had the chance. And right now, is that time." Sam said.
I sighed, "Okay but you're not going to find anything in those books. I already tried. I don't even know what to look for and that means you guys wont either."
"Tell us everything you have been feeling."
I groaned, "Okay. Let's start from the beginning then."
I took a deep breath, "Okay, Dean, when you left me to grab Sam from college, I was on my own for a long time. During the first two weeks, a friend of mine from school was killed by a demon, Holsman. He killed Ricky to get my attention."
"Why did he want your attention?"
"He wanted to warn me. But he talked about me like he has heard of me before. I don't know. Anyway, he didn't hurt me, just talked to me. He said that every demon in hell knew who I was and wanted me dead because I have the power to destroy them. I don't know where the hell that power is, but it would come in handy once I find it."
"Whoa, so you want to use this power they're talking about?" Dean abruptly asked.
I shrugged, "I mean if I can destroy them, then yeah why the hell not. Sounds good to me."
"But—"
"I'm not done," I cut him off, "He said dad knew everything that I'm telling you. I'm guessing he didn't say anything to you?" The three boys shook their head. "Figures. Well anyway he was trying to stop it."
"Then if he was trying to stop it, then you should know it's not a good idea to find these so-called powers and use them," Dean said.
"I was thinking dad was trying to stop it so I didn't have a bunch of demons on my ass," I replied, "But when we battled against the seven deadly sins, I had a very…well…aggressive conversation with Wrath. He told me that half the people downstairs loved me, believed I could be some kind of leader, the other half thought the exact opposite." Sam and Dean looked at each other like they figured something out. "What?"
"Remember the demon, Casey?" Dean asked. I nodded. "She said you were the main reason for the war. She called you a prize."
"A prize?"
"We thought maybe there were a few demons out there that actually liked you."
"I think they're lying," I said, "I have yet to come across a demon that liked me."
"What about Holsman? He didn't kill you."
I shrugged, "That's true. He was the demon I was talking about when you caught me alone in the parking lot."
"What about the powers?" Bobby crossed his arms, "How do you explain them?"
"I cant. They just come and go when they choose. It's usually when I'm mad, or one of my brothers' lives are at risk."
"You used them on me when I possessed," Sam sat up straighter in his seat remembering now. "Yeah well Meg was such a bitch."
"I said what's dead should stay dead," Sam shook his head, "Shit, Maddie I don't think that. I think it should stay dead if you can only come back a zombie or som—"
"Sam, it's okay. That was ages ago," I giggled. "But that's all I got for ya."
"Your eyes turned silver during the fight." Sam said.
"What?" I asked now confused.
"Your eyes. They blinked into these silver like coins when you fought."
I mentally face palmed myself, "That's right," I stood from my seat and went through the books that were on the table, "Which one of these has to do with a demons true image."
"Uh," Bobby searched and pulled out a big red hard covered and dusty book, "Here."
"I could see through their meat suit. I saw the black smoke and the beast-like face," I flipped through the pages, "My vision was only black and white. It was like an x ray. But for people like Sam, I could only see Sam. Not what's inside Sam. I must only be to see if someone is possessed." I found the exact image sketched onto the thin papers, "This."
I showed the men and they grimaced. It was not a pretty thing.
"What about when you froze in the corner?"
"I saw the same thing that had been appearing in my mirror the past couple of weeks." I answered, "Well it only happened like two or three times. It was the complete opposite of the demons."
"Bobby what does this mean?" Dean asked.
"I'm stumped boys," He said, "The best I found was that Maddie could not be supernaturally killed by demons because she could be incapable of being possessed."
"That must have been only when Yellow Eyes was alive because I almost died the other day from a demon's powers."
"Yeah but it was witchcraft," Sam corrected.
"True, but they can still throw me into walls."
The front door of Bobby's house squeaked open, and someone walked in. "Hey Bobby, are the Winchesters here? I saw their car in the front."
Braden walked in holding two grocery bags and a smirk on his face when he walked in. My eyes grew wide and looked at Dean. Dean was glaring and his nostrils were flared.
Dean jumped from his chair and grabbed Braden by the collar of his shirt and pressed him hard into the wall. Braden groaned at the contact.
"Dean!" I yelled.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Bobby shouted.
Braden turned his head towards me, "Did he find out that we…." I looked down and shut my eyes. This was not happening right now. Braden laughed out loud, "Ha. I banged your sister, man. And damn, was she good."
Dean punched him hard across the face and sent him falling to the ground. My mouth dropped open at Braden's words. Bobby grabbed Dean by his shoulders and held him back.
Sam was about to take a step forward to continue where Dean left off but I held him by his wrists, "Don't."
Braden brushed himself off and wiped the blood from his lips with his fingers.
"What are you doing here?" Sam spat.
"Im here to help Bobby with one of his cars. I mean he did invite me over."
"I didn't know there was a problem," Bobby explained. "I'll show you the car."
Bobby and Braden walked out of the house and I felt humiliated.
"That guy?" Dean yelled, "Really, Maddie?!"
"Yeah I get it," I said. My chest hurt from what he said. Like I was just some kind of good screw. There was no respect. "It was a big mistake."
Dean and Sam quieted down after I spoke.
"Madds, we just don't want you to get hurt," Sam spoke lightly.
"I'm going to go for a run," I took a few steps back, "I'll be back in two hours."
I threw on my running sneakers and I went out the back door, which was the complete opposite direction where Bobby and Braden were.

Ker-plunk
Plunk
I tossed pebbles into the active creek in front of me. I sit on a rock by the edge.
Plunk.
I don't know why I was so depressed. I wasn't thinking anything at the same time I was thinking every thing.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone sit down next to me. I looked over and saw Sam. He picked up a pebble of his own
We just sat their in silence. And sometimes silence speaks louder than words, and he was saying that he was sorry. But I don't know what for.
"I'm sorry,' Sam said. I looked at him. "I cant speak for Dean, but I'm sorry for over reacting about the whole Braden thing." I nodded but didn't say anything. "Are you okay?"
"Sam, we need to talk," I said and tossed another pebble into the creek.
"Okay, um," he coughed and sat up straighter, "Go ahead."
I took a shaky breath in, "You know something about me don't you?" I asked, "Something I don't?"
"I don't think I should—"
"Tell me," I demanded.
Sam was a little caught of guard with my front-forwardness. I was the little sister; I was supposed to back down to my older brothers. But not this time.
"Yellow-Eyes brought me back to the day mom died. It was like I was watching this horror movie," I could see Sam mentally shudder at watching mom die. I couldn't tell him to stop. I need to know more. "More happened that night than just mom's death."
"How do you mean?"
"He told me when I was six months old, he dripped blood into my mouth—his blood."
"Demon blood?" I asked with wide eyes, "You have demon blood in you?"
"There's more,," he said. This time he didn't meet my eyes. Maybe this isn't about me. Maybe this whole thing is about Sam. "Four years later he came back."
"The day mom died," I filled in the blank, closed my eyes and took a deep breath to try and calm my racing heart.
"I was four and you were six months old," he sighed, "Madds, he leant over your crib and did the same thing to you." He took a pause, waiting for me to say something. But I couldn't. I could only heart the pounding in my chest. "He moved to my room to do the same thing to me."
"For a second time?!"
He nodded, "For a second time. But when he moved to my room, something else came back to your nursery. Not even the demon knew what it was, and right now neither do I. Whatever it was, Yellow-Eyes thought it was trying to cure you."
"But…" I said knowing there was more.
"But then mom walked into my room. She recognized the demon."
"Recognized?"
"She knew who he was."
I stood up slowly, my brain trying to wrap around all the new information. "How did mom know who he was? She wasn't a hunter!" or was she?
"I don't know," Sam shrugged, "That's all I know."
"Yeah?" I said, "And what about Lilith? You failed to mention that."
"I was trying to keep you guys out of it. At least for now. Dean could be gone in a few weeks. The last thing I want is for his last days to be stressful."
"Stop talking like he going to die!"
"Have you found anything that could help him out of his deal?" Sam was now standing up too, "Cause I know I haven't and I even shot a cross roads demon."
I groaned and dropped my head into my hands.
"Does Dean know anything you just told me?"
"He knows about Lilith, obviously. But nothing more."
I took a deep breath and looked back into the creek. I stared at the tiny tadpoles within. I wish I could be one of them. Their life looked so much easier. All they did was swim around all day.
"Sam you gotta promise me something," I took a shaky breath, "If Dean does die, don't leave me. Please stay with me until we're living that unrealistic apple pie life."
Sam smiled and ruffled my hair. He pulled me into his chest, my head in the snug of his armpit. He kissed the top of my head, "I promise, kiddo."
/
I fell asleep rather quickly. I thought my head would be filled with nightmares but to my surprise it wasn't this time.
I woke to the creaky floors in the bedroom. Mi immediate response was to grab the knife I had under my pillow and switched on the lamp on the bedside table. With my arm ready to throw, I squinted as the brightness blinded me.
"Woah, Woah, chill," Braden whispered and put his hands up, "It's just me!"
I blinked the sleep out of my eyes. Was this a dream? A nightmare? Or was he actually just this stupid?
"What are you doing? What time is it?"
"It's 3:30 in the morning," he answered like it was no big deal.
"Why are you waking me up at 3:30 in the morning? Looking for another booty call?" I spat.
I remembered everything he said to Dean and I felt that familiar pang in my heart; it was like a something heavy dropped down to my stomach.
He sighed, "I know that was wrong of me to say. And I am sorry for that, but please…come with me."
"Come with you?" I looked at him like he was insane; "It's 3:30 in the morning. I am tired and want to sleep."
"I swear you wont regret it."
"I'm not interested in having sex with you," I said rather harshly, "So please just leave me alone or I'll scream for Dean to get your ass out of here."
He licked his lips and swallowed, "Please. No sex, no moves, just friends—"
"We're not friends," I said. He stared at me.
I rolled my eyes and yanked the bed covers off of my body. I was only in underwear and a sweatshirt, but I didn't care—he has seen me in much less. I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and grabbed a sweatshirt.
I knew I shouldn't have been going. I was mad at this guy. He didn't care for me. I was just some girl he could bang, and that's all I was going to be to him. But there was a certain thrill I felt building up in my head. I wanted to go with him. But why? All he was, was a dick with a hot body.
"Thank you."
I had no idea where he was taking me. I had no idea why he was even talking to me.
He led me out the window. It must have been where he came in because it was wide open. He refused to walk out there door because it would wake Sam or Dean.
Outside the window was a small roof from the back porch roof. From there we had to jump to the ground. I ignore the shot of pain that rang through my ankles up to my knees.
We walked through the woods. With every step I took, branches crunched underneath my feet. We walked in silence.
After walking three quarters of a mile, we stopped. Behind the trees was a dock leading to a big lake. The water glistened under the light of the almost full moon. You couldn't see on the other side of the lake, just the water. I had never been here before.
Braden smiled at the sight and I could only look at it with fascination. He nodded his head, appealed by my facial expression.
"Come on," he nodded with his head towards the dock.
I followed and stepped over fallen trunks and overgrown rocks. The dock was rocky but stable. We sat down on the end; I sat crossed legged and he leaned his weight against his hands behind his back and looked forward.
After a few seconds of silent I spoke, "How'd you find this place?"
"I lived with Bobby for a few years. When I went running or just need time alone, I would take different routes. One day I found this place and wah-lah."
"It's beautiful."
"I always come here whenever I need to just…get away and give time to myself."
I raised an eyebrow, "You don't seem like a guy who needs time for himself."
He shrugged, "Everyone needs some peace and quiet for a little bit."
I nodded and paused, "Why did you bring me here, Braden?"
This time, he was the one to take a moment to think about how he was going to answer.
I took in his features. He was beautiful under the glow of the moon. His brown hair was shinier and his skin looked darker. When he bit his lip, his teeth seemed white. This kid literally had no bad features…well physically.
"Bobby briefly filled me on the difficulty of your family's life right now," he answered. I nodded, understanding; this was for sympathy. He shrugged, "And I don't know, you must be under a lot of stress and I personally you would like this place. It's somewhere where you can just cool off and forget about your problems for a few minutes and just bask in the surroundings."
"And you had to show me at almost four in the morning because…"
"I think it's more stunning at night…and I knew it would make you mad," he joked. I didn't laugh, "Look, Maddie, what I said back there yesterday was extremely uncalled for. And I am really really sorry for what I said. I'm sorry if it made you feel like just some object I use for my own pleasure cause that is not what I think of you."
"Then, what do you think of me?" I asked. I probably shouldn't have asked it. It sounded flirty or hopeful that something could possibly happen with me and him which wasn't my intention at all. But I couldn't help but wonder.
He grinned my way, "I think you are absolutely, amazingly, eye-boggingly gorgeous."
I felt the heat rush up to my cheeks and I was grateful that it was dark so he couldn't see my darkening skin. "Eye-boggingly—is that a word now?" I teased.
"Of course!" he said.
"What else?"
"I think you're an incredible hunter, you're always looking out for your family, and your body is so damn hot—"
"Shut up," I grin and push him playfully.
"I seriously am sorry. I don't care if you hate me for the rest of your life, or if I constantly have to run away from your brothers, but I need you to know that I am sorry and I am here for you whenever you need me."
I could only stare with my mouth still open, like I was ready to talk. I had to cough and look away to try and retain my calmness.
I had never been talked to so gently before in the past fifteen years of my life. The only other man who has ever spoken to me like that was my father and that was when I was really little.
I didn't understand why he was doing this for me. Yeah he was a complete asshole, but he was the kind of person I thought would just leave me behind and not say another word since I wouldn't sleep with him anymore. But no. He is actually trying to pay a debt, like he owes one to me.
"I didn't know you had such a soft side," I said softly. I meant it to be in a joking tone, but it came out seriously.
He chuckled, "I wanna be your friend Maddie. I don't look at you and only think of sex. I really do like you."
I raised an eyebrow. "Friends? You wanna be friends with me? Why would you want to be friends with me?"
"Did you not just hear everything I said?"
"Sorry, sorry. It's just…I'm not used to people actually liking me and wanting to be my friend."
"Well believe it," he stood up, "And maybe, there can be a chance you would want o be more." I looked at him with a "really?" look, "Alright, maybe not."
"If you're lucky," I responded.
"If I'm lucky," he repeated with a smile.
I couldn't help but grin to myself and play with the hem of my sweatshirt. I felt like such a girl right now; it almost made me sick.
But ever since the hunt we went on together, I knew this kid had a soft side to him. It was just kind of hard to believe. But I really liked this side to him. I mean yeah, his hard demeanor and badass attitude was hot and could be kind a turn on, but when he was just smiling and acting actually nice, it made me forget about all the bad things about him.
I was starting to like this guy, and in the end it was only going to let me crash and burn
