It was another day at Duel Academy and as usual, there would be duels going on. And this one duel happening now is no exception.
"Water Dragon, attack his Life Points directly with Tidal Blast!" Bastion declared. The said dragon fired a high pressured stream of water at his opponent and took out the rest of his Life Points.
Bastion: 500
SoL Member: 0
Bastion panted as he knelt on one knee while the SoL member collapsed being released from the Light's control. "This… is not enough…" He panted. "I've been winning and yet… I'm growing more stagnant as it is, repeating the same strategies countless times. There has to be something missing…"
As Bastion looked to his left, he noticed three Ra students panting heavily, having a hard time dueling with Chazz, standing proudly with his three XYZ monsters on the field. "Man, he's tough!" one of the Ra duelists said.
"And he's merciless to us!" another Ra student added.
"You do know, right?" Chazz bragged. "The Light shall guide, the very moment you lose this duel! Wipe the floor with them, my Dragon Cannon army!" Chazz's Monsters all aimed at the three Ra duelists and fired making them cry out before they fell to their knees.
Chazz: 4000
Ra Duelist 1: 0
Ra Duelist 2: 0
Ra Duelist 3: 0
'And he does it flawlessly!' Bastion thought to himself, as the three Ras knelt before Chazz. 'No damage has been dealt to him during the entire duel!'
"Now, boys! Have your eyes opened to what Master Sartorius planned for us?" Chazz exclaimed.
"Yes…" all three of them said in unison, "We have seen the Light!"
'And just when one is free, another three join in.' Bastion gritted in thought. 'Was what D–Bringer and Rave said, true…? No, no! I can't think like that! I must find the solution to this problem.'
(Cue Theme KNOCK ON YOUR GATE by Ono Masatoshi)
(Chigau! Zetsubou nado mou shinai mou nigenai~) The scene begins with the Primary Riders and Mana, bound onto the walls with chains as they are in slumber with the Sorcerer insignia on their chests.
(Donna ashita demo ii) The screen pans out, revealing Orma and Sartorius standing on the magic circle as they looked at the portal before them.
(Hitori nanka janai kara~) As the screen zoomed into the portal, it shortly revealed Kurogasa standing in front of the academy.
(Itsuka mirai de kitto aou~) With a serious glance and a wave of his arm, the Secondary Riders, Gaim, Drive, and Tamamo dash towards and Gaim delivered the slash onto the screen, revealing the title. After a brief moment, Tamamo's mirror reflected on the screen, and before moving to the next scene Drive appeared, driving his car Tridoron towards the screen before the screen whited out.
(Kizutsuita kotowa iu na) Jaden looks at the sky with his Neo–Spacians doing the same.
(Itasou na kao mo sunna) Koji does the same thing, looking up in the sky with his Lost Boogie Knights.
(Doushou mo naku natte shimau ze) Kurogasa did the same thing with his Secondary Riders, Gaim, Drive, and Tamamo as they all saw in the night sky fainted images of Sorcerer and Sartorius looking evilly at the three.
(Jikuu no yami ni ochite) Mamori and Marta walked together in the garden. Both Rika and Blair waved happily at the front, getting the two's attention as they replied with their own wave.
(Himei mo agenai de) Syrus, Hassleberry, Bastion and Will turn around and noticed Rock skate past them at the hallway and ended up bumping into the startled Masaru.
(Taikutsu wo kai naraseru no kai?) Both the Akiyama and Hoshiki twins noticed, making them sweat drop.
(Yuuki wa OOTUMACHIKKU mayou mo njanai) As Kaito and Aster close their eyes, different monsters such as X and Zero shot out their cannon busters onto the screen, Saber and Lancer swung their weapons onto the screen, Cloud and Tidus jump forward and clashing their swords onto Blaster Blade and Garmore before the two jumped back and Foodon monsters leaped towards the screen.
(Kimi ga muku hou ga mae da~!) When Kaito and Aster open their eyes, Sartorius and Orma smirked with Cubia behind them, taunting them to come to them. Kurogasa, standing between Kaito and Aster, dashed forward, donning into his sealed Rider armor, with Kaito dashed along, with the spirit of Azure accompanying him.
(Ikou! Mou modorenai michi wo ikeba ii) The scene changes to Jaden and Chazz facing each other in a duel, while Koji went against Bastion who is now part of the Society.
(Mirai ga matte iru! Tatake! Kimi no GATE) When Kurogasa faces Alexis, the latter turns and walks away and Kurogasa runs towards her, stretching his hand forward, trying to reach her.
(Chigau! Zetsubou nado mou shinai mou nigenai~) He was then intervened by more of the Society of Light members, looking at him and the rest of the group with the intent of defeating them in a duel.
(Donna ashita demo ii) Inside the Slifer Red headmaster's room, Yukina prayed quietly, hoping for her son to be alright as Kyoshiro stood by her side.
(Hitori nanka janai kara~) Back at Kurogasa, his sealed Rider form casted off, going into Justice Form and his whole new armor engulfed in light. His wings spread widely and flew towards the awaiting Sorcerer.
(Itsuka mirai de kitto aou~) As Kurogasa flipped forward, delivering the Rider kick to the screen, it shattered away, revealing the characters standing in front of the academy in a casual manner, including the Alexis, Bastion, and Chazz in their Society of Light outfit, with a faint image of the smirking evil Sartorius and Sorcerer behind them, ending the song.
Chapter 35: Stagnating Problems
Meanwhile, Bastion wasn't the only one with the stagnating problem.
"Cloud finish her off! Omnislash!" Marta commanded.
"O~h, you're being a scary lady, missy!" Sayaka teased, pretending to be spooked out and scared. "But my girls are much, much scarier! Boi~ng!"
"Huh?" Marta blinked, before Cloud ejected up high in the sky.
"Activating my trap card, Koihime Retreat!" Sayaka explained. "You see, if I control a Koihime monster with its ATK being halved, I can bounce back your monster into your hand and my targeted monster, too!"
"And what exactly are you pointing out here?" Marta blinked.
"You will take damage equal to the difference between both of our monsters' current ATK!" Sayaka chirped. "Rinrin has her ATK being halved to 600 and Cloudy pants has 2500 ATK! With that difference, you will take damage!"
"Gh!" Marta gritted her teeth, as slashes of wind were inflicted on Marta, ending the duel.
Sayaka: 900
Marta: 0
"Wohoo! I win!" Sayaka jumped happily, and each time she jumped, so did her, um… assets.
"Huh… that's the fifth loss this week…" Marta sighed as their duel disks deactivated.
"Wohoo! Yeah! Sayaka wins again!" She cheered.
As the cheering went on, Aerith appeared in spirit form. "Marta, is something wrong?"
"I don't know…" Marta sighed. "Lately, I've been… growing stagnant."
"Stagnant?" Aerith blinked.
"You mean, getting stuck with your current strength?" Yuffie pointed out.
"Pfft, what's the point of whinin' 'bout it? Just find a way to get over it!" Cid suggested, taking a whiff of his cigar.
*BONK!*
"Ow!" Cid cringed in pain after Rikku bonked him on the head.
"Geez Cid, way to be so sensitive! Can't you read the mood?!" Rikku pouted.
"What's the point?" Cid scoffed.
"There's no need to be pouty, lass!" Cait Sith commented. "It's just another dum' luck day, eh?"
"Not if you're losing five times in a row, despite having different tactics…" Red XIII added. He then looked at Marta, saying, "Maybe it is time you should reconsider what cards should be added into your deck and come up with a new strategy?"
"Yeah, the pussycat's right!" Cid agreed. "Keep this charade up, and who knows what'll happen next…"
"But that's just it… if I change, then…" Marta trailed off.
"I think I understand." Yuna said. "You don't want to abandon us."
"Yes. All of you are my friends and I can't just forget about all of you."
"Hey, just because you've taken us out of the deck, doesn't mean we'll be separated!" Rikku said.
"We'll always wander around and be near you, even though you do not bring us cards along with you." Tifa added.
"Ever heard of side decks, anyone?" Cid grumbled to himself, looking away tiredly.
"I… suppose so." Marta said.
"This is your story Marta." Auron said. "What you write in those pages is all on you."
"Kimahri agrees. Kimahri believes you are still strong Ronso at heart." The cat humanoid nodded.
"You guys…" Marta said touched.
"We'll leave the planning to you." Tifa said.
"Seems like you've got your hands full, Marta." Yuna added. "There's going to be a lot of revision and homework that need to be done."
"We're with you all the way ya?" Wakka said, giving a thumbs up.
"Yeah! Some new friends can't hurt!" Barrett added.
"A change of pace should be refreshing." Vincent said.
"Yeah, go for it!" Tidus grinned.
"We're never far away…" Cloud said.
"We will support you no matter what." Lulu finished.
Marta could only smile before she noticed Sayaka looking at her… up close and personal.
"Whatcha' lookin' at?" Sayaka blinked, surprising the Fantasy duelist.
"I was talking with my friends, Sayaka." Marta replied, after gaining her cool.
"Oh." Sayaka blinked for a moment, before she went all chirpy. "Kuro–chan, wherever you are right now~! C'mere and lemme give ya' a hug!"
"Achoo!" Kurogasa sneezed.
"You okay aibou?" Kivat asked.
"Yeah, you just sneezed out of the blu~e!" Tatsulot added.
"Are ya' cold?" Kivat asked.
"No… not really…" Kurogasa replied.
"Then, are you sick, dear?" Yukina asked, folding her son's uniform neatly and stacked it next to hers and her husband's clothing. "There's some medicine in the first aid kit."
"I'm fine Kaa–san." Kurogasa said. That's when a Shift Car in the form of an ambulance came towards him and wailed out its siren.
"I don't think your treatment is necessary Mad Doctor." Mr. Belt said, appearing with Tomari. Mad Doctor let out a wail before moving away from the scene.
"I think you hurt his feelings, Belt–san." Shinnosuke pointed out.
"It wasn't that serious…" Mr. Belt replied, showing a deadpanned look.
"I noticed that all of your friends are busy this weekend, dear." Yukina said noticing the lack of presence of his friends around the dorm. "Your father might have piled up too much homework that's needed to be done, ne?"
"Well, it's kinda understandable with all the stuff happening in Domino City." Kurogasa pointed out.
"That's true…" Yukina murmured. "So is there anything you want to do today?"
"Hmmmmmmmm…" Kurogasa said, thinking about it before saying, "I guess I can check up on Allyson."
"Again, dear?"
"Yeah… just wanna check up on her." Kurogasa nodded before he stood up from his seat near his table. "I know her mom is there to keep her company."
"Is your homework done?" Yukina reminded. "Your father would be mad if you don't finish it in time... and so would I."
"You know me Kaa–san. I always finish on time." He smiled gently.
"Okay dear. You can go, but don't stay too long." Yukina said.
"Hai." Kurogasa nodded before leaving.
"Hoho~ what is this?" Otoya said appearing, "Visiting her again?"
"Otoya, not now." Kurogasa sighed.
"Does this mean you're actually going with the idea of having a ha–"
"Say that word and Deneb will stuff your mouth with itokonyakku for a month." Kurogasa threatened.
"Gh…!" Otoya flinched.
"Mou~ leave Goshujin–sama alone!" Tamamo pouted hugging his arm. "He's all nice and kind~!"
"Who knows? Maybe there's a possibility where he could gain one?" Tachibana analyzed.
"If he can turn a pinch into an opportunity, he can get it in the bag!" Kousuke added.
"You two are not helping…" Kurogasa gritted in annoyance.
The walk towards the infirmary have been silent the rest of the way and when he arrived, he saw Allyson sitting on her bed awake, talking to her mother.
"Oh, we have a visitor." Zathura blinked.
"Oh…" Allyson got out, noticing him.
"Hey, Allyson." Kurogasa waved at her lightly, in which she let out a small smile.
"Good day to you, too." she replied.
"My daughter just got up this morning." Zathura explained. "After two weeks of being in a coma, she finally woke up."
"Yes, Mother. Though, I am still feeling weak… and sore…" Allyson added, rubbing the back of her neck, near the patches of the wounds.
"I see." Kurogasa nodded. "I'm glad you're okay."
"So am I." Allyson smiled a bit.
"So what brings you here?" Zathura asked.
"O–Oh, just wanted check up on your daughter." Kurogasa stuttered.
"Oh?" Allyson looked at him.
"Yes, whenever this boy has time, he checks up on you." Zathura nodded.
"How nice of you, Kurogasa. You have my thanks." Allyson smiled. Seeing the predicament, Zathura misunderstood something.
"Kurogasa, was it?" Zathura asked. "What do you think of my daughter?"
"E–Eh?!" Kurogasa blushed.
"Mother, it's not what you think." Allyson blushed slightly.
"Hm?" Zathura blinked confused. "It isn't?"
"N–No, ma'am!" Kurogasa quickly replied. "I already have a girlfriend, thank you very much!"
"Yes, it's true." Allyson agreed.
"A pity. I seemed to take a liking on this child." Zathura sighed.
"A–Anyways, I should get going, good to see you awake Allyson!" Kurogasa said before bowing and running off.
"Hm… what a strange boy." Zathura tilted her head.
"Hmhmhmhmhmhmhm…" Sartorius chuckled, flipping a card to see that one of them is upside down.
"Something good?" Orma asked.
"Oh yes. It seems that one of Kurogasa's friends is in doubt." Sartorius said.
"In doubt?"
"Of course, and from this card, it told me that it happened... recently. Or to be more specific…" Sartorius trailed off, as Orma looked at the orb on the table.
"…today." Orma said, noticing one of the doubted students in the orb. "One of them is the Ra genius, Bastion Misawa, if I recall…"
"Yes. His skills have been… stagnating as of late." Sartorius smirked.
"Then it looks like D–Bringer and Rave have done their mission quite well." Orma chuckled.
"Indeed. Now we need to push him in the right direction and he will see the Light."
"And I know the very person that would get the job done." Orma suggested.
"I know what you are thinking, and I agree with your choice." Sartorius smirked.
"And what shall we do with this other doubted duelist?" Orma said, now making his orb zoom onto Marta, who was checking each of her cards and thinking of a strategy to build a better deck.
"She will not be a burden to us…" Sartorius said.
"She won't?" Orma added, as Sartorius turned another card on his top deck, smirking widely.
"She won't." he assured. "As long as doubt still lingers within her, she can be conquered with our weakest member of the Light."
"I see." Orma chuckled. "This should be interesting."
"All done." Marta smiled after finishing making her new Deck.
"That took quite a tuning…" Cloud said.
"Indeed." Red XIII nodded in agreement.
"So, who's gonna be the first victim?" Barrett asked proudly.
"Well, I wouldn't exactly say that." Marta said sheepishly.
"But who are you gonna face?" Rikku asked.
"Hmmmmmm..." Marta thought about it, "I suppose I can duel Mamori. She and I haven't dueled each other in a while,"
"Mamori, eh?" Cait Sith said. "I know where that lass is."
"You do?" Marta said, looking at him.
Mamori hid behind one of the buildings, looking at Syrus, Hassleberry and Jaden fishing. "S–Syrus–senpai is there, I–I should g–go over there a–and say 'hi'…" she said nervously. Just as she was about to head over there, she quickly retreated to her hiding spot due to Syrus flailing in annoyance since his fish swam away. "M–Maybe I–I should t–try another t–time…"
"Mamori?"
"EEEEEEK!" Mamori squealed in fright, turning around to see Marta in front of her.
"What are you doing?" Marta asked, tilting her head.
"M–Marta–senpai!" Mamori squeaked.
"Were you trying to say hi to Syrus?" Marta noticed.
"U–Um…" Mamori blushed heavily, but quickly recovered from it. "W–Why are you here, senpai?"
"I came looking for you." Marta said.
"W–Why?" Mamori asked.
"I was wondering if you would like to duel me. I just rearranged my Deck and I would like to test it out." Marta explained.
"DID SOMEONE SAY DUEL?!"
"EEEEKKK!" Mamori squeaked, quickly hiding behind Marta.
"Whoa, Mamori! Didn't see you there…" Jaden said.
"Geez, Jay. Why do you have to make Mamori feel uncomfortable? She's pretty delicate." Syrus said, concerned for Mamori.
"Oopsie." Jaden said sheepishly. "I heard the word 'duel' and got excited."
"Yeah, we noticed that." Hassleberry deadpanned.
"So you're dueling Mamori, Marta?" Syrus asked.
"Yes, of course." Marta nodded. "I have been feeling a little bit… rusty."
"Rusty?" Hassleberry added.
"Is it because you're spending too much time with your guy?" Jaden questioned.
*BONK!*
"Ow!" Jaden cringed after Marta hit him on the head.
"That is not the reason why…" Marta said annoyed. "Koji respects me just as how I respect him. Both of us know our limits in our relationship."
"T–Then, t–the reason for the duel?" Mamori asked.
"I just wanted to try something new, Mamori." Marta replied kindly to the frightened duelist. "A deck that might bring me out of my usual element, but still keep up with the others. And there's a possibility I might encounter those of the Light when they start to attack me, much like how they do so to Allyson."
"I–I see…" Mamori said.
"Well then go for it!" Jaden grinned widely.
"Yeah, doing some training couldn't hurt." Hassleberry shrugged.
"Well, Mamori? Are you up for it?" Marta asked.
"W–Well… i–if you insist…" Mamori stuttered, fiddling with her fingers.
"And who knows?" Marta said sisterly, leaning to Mamori while whispering, "…you might be able to impress Syrus with your skills."
Mamori blushed lightly. "R–Right…"
"Alright, let's get to it!" Jaden cheered.
"Storm the battlefield, you two!" Hassleberry exclaimed, as both duelists got into place. They activated their duel disks, then drew their starting Hands.
"DUEL!"
Mamori: 4000
Marta: 4000
"Why don't you start off Mamori?" Marta offered.
"O–Okay…" Mamori gulped slightly, drawing out her sixth card. "I summon Gem–Knight Iolite in D–DEF mode!" An aqua blue gem–knight appeared before Mamori, aiming its gun to Marta while still kneeling down. (4/ATK: 1300/DEF: 2000)
"A Gemini monster?" Syrus blinked. "For Gem–Knights?"
"She must have upgraded her deck to the sweetness level!" Jaden grinned happily.
"I–I'll set two cards facedown and e-end my turn!" Mamori added, as two holograms were on her side of the Field.
"Now it's my turn!" Marta said drawing her sixth card.
"Oh boy, here it comes!" Jaden said excitedly.
"I summon Keyblade Warrior – Sora in ATK mode!" Marta declared and a teenaged boy with spiky hair and blue appeared wearing a midnight blue short–sleeved shirt with red hoodie–like pockets on the front of his shirt under a black short–sleeved jacket with a hood with dark gray shoulder guards, black/yellow/white fingerless gloves, a black belt, big baggy yet short pants (that extended to the middle of his shins), and big yellow and black shoes. The big pockets on his pants were red and were supported by a few yellow straps that intersected his lower body. (4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200)
"Keyblade Warrior?" Jaden got out.
"Not your Fantasy Warriors?" Syrus asked.
"A–A–re? W–When did you have t–that card?" Mamori said, confused.
"Just now." Marta smiled. "Now Sora's effect activates. He gains 100 ATK for every "Keyblade Warrior" on the Field, including himself.
Keyblade Warrior – Sora (4/ATK: 1600–1700/DEF: 1200)
"Next, when he's summoned successfully summoned, I can add his weapon to my Hand." She demonstrated taking out the card. "Now I'll equip him with Keyblade – Kingdom Key, raising his ATK by 400!" A key that was sword length appeared in Sora hand. The teeth and rod itself was silver and the handle was gold.
Keyblade Warrior – Sora (4/ATK: 1700–2100/DEF: 1200)
"Wow, a key sword!" Jaden said impressed.
"That's Keyblade to you!" Sora said.
"Hey, he talked!" Syrus exclaimed.
"Of course I am!" Sora grinned.
"Sora, you know what to do." Marta said.
"You got it, lady!" Sora gave her a thumbs-up before quickly dashing forward.
"T–Trap open! S–Scrap Iron Scarecrow!" Mamori exclaimed, as a scarecrow made out of scraps popped out of the field, making Sora slash it. "Y–Your monster's attack has been negated!"
"Hey! What gives?" Sora complained as he jumped back and the card went back facedown.
"Hey, how come it didn't go to the Graveyard?" Syrus asked.
"T–That's because it can r-reset itself on the Field." Mamori explained.
"That's a neat card to have in a deck." Syrus pondered. "Maybe I'll try to adjust it."
"As always, you've upgraded your deck even further and mastered it with ease." Marta praised.
"T–Thank you." Mamori thanked her, blushing a bit. "I–Is your turn over yet?"
"After I place these two cards facedown." Marta said, doing that.
"T–Then it's my turn." Mamori nodded drawing her next card.
"Let's see what else you got in your arsenal." Hassleberry said.
"I play two o–of my same S–Spell cards, Dark World Dealings!" Mamori said. "W–With this, both of us discard one card f–from our Hand i–into the Graveyard, and we g–get to draw one."
"Hm… I was wondering what you will do next. Let's see what happens then." Marta decided, discarding two cards from her hand and drew new ones.
"A–And since one of them that I-I've sent is G-Gem Knight Obsidian, I–I can special summon o–one level 4 or lower N-Normal G–Gem–Knight onto the F–Field!" Mamori exclaimed as another warrior appeared onto the field. "I–I Special summon t-the card that I discarded earlier, Gem–Knight Sardonyx!" An earthy armored knight appeared onto the field, wielding its chained mace before letting the mace crush the ground with a thud. (4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 900)
"Another Gemini monster?" Hassleberry got out. "I thought she said only normal monsters?"
"Gemini Monsters are considered Normal until they are Gemini Summoned." Syrus pointed out.
"Y–Yes, it's true." Mamori said.
"Oh…" Hassleberry said. "I never knew that one."
"Then, Gem–Knight Fusion!" Mamori declared.
"A fusion between two of her monsters." Marta said as two Gem–Knights entered the portal and moments later, a new knight appeared, with brown earthy armor, light blue cape, burning red gloves and a sword; stood tall before her enemies.
"I Gem–Fusion summon Gem–Knight C–Citrine!" (7/ATK: 2200/ DEF: 1950)
"Another new Monster on the Field!" Syrus said, impressed.
"Hurrah!" Hassleberry cheered.
"S–Syrus–senpai s–seems to be impressed…" Mamori muttered to herself, quickly pointing her monster to attack Sora. "Citrine, attack S–Sora! A–And when it attacks, y–you cannot activate any set cards until t–the end of the Damage Phase!"
"Then I might as well activate an effect from my Hand!" Marta said.
"Huh?" Mamori said confused as she revealed the card.
"By discarding Fantasy Warrior – Cait Sith, if a Monster on your side of the Field attacks, I can negate it and end your turn immediately!"
Just then, a little cat with brown boots and red cape, wearing white gloves and a small crown on his head, appeared while carrying a small box in his hand. "'ey!"
"?" Citrine noticed it, but decided to ignore it and attack Sora.
"What are you doing?! Get out of the way!" Sora shouted at Cait Sith.
"Calm down, lad! I know what I'm doin'!" Cait Sith assured before opening the small box. Lots and LOTS of random junk shot out from it, shoving and pushing Citrine back onto the battlefield. As a result, it also filled Mamori's field with junk, making her unable to do anything about it.
"Eep!" Mamori squeaked. "B–Because of Marta–senpai's monster's effect, my turn e–ends…" she added. As soon as she declared it, her field cleared up, returning its former glory.
"Aw man, not good…" Syrus said disappointed.
"Hey, it's still anybody's game." Jaden said.
"Yes, we're just getting started." Marta said, drawing her next card. "I summon Keyblade Warrior – Riku in ATK mode!" At that point, a teenaged boy older than Sora appeared having shoulder length silverish–white hair and blue eyes, wearing a white and yellow vest with blue jeans and black shoes (4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1500)
"Another new Keyblade Monster." Hassleberry added.
"And sweet one, too!" Jaden grinned.
"Hey~! Riku!" Sora waved at the new warrior.
"Hey, Sora." Rikku replied back.
"Two of them now on the field." Bastion analyzed, surprising the trio.
"Bastion?! When did you get here?!" Jaden gawked.
"Just now."
"But did you really have to sneak up on us?" Syrus asked.
"Yeah, you sneaked up like you were about to do an ambush." Hassleberry added.
"I apologize." Bastion said. "So, I see Marta has a new set of cards."
"Yeah, and it's totally sweet!" Jaden grinned,
"Really now?" Bastion said.
"What makes you say that?" Syrus asked.

"Now his ability activates, I add his Keyblade from my Deck to my Hand!" Marta said as she added the said card. "Now I'll equip it. I play Keyblade – Way to Dawn, adding 500 ATK to his power plus, Sora gains another 100 points!"

"Now I'll reveal one of my facedowns!" Marta said, pressing a button to reveal it. "Eternal Session!"
"Eternal Session?" Bastion got out.
"Whoa, she got some new cards to show us today!" Jaden grinned.
"Best cards does come with great effects." Hassleberry added.
"Yeah." Syrus agreed.
"W–What does it do?" Mamori asked.
"When Sora and Riku are on the Field, at the cost of skipping my Battle Phase, I can destroy all cards on your side of the Field. And you take Damage equal to half the total ATK of Sora and Riku!"
"E–Eh?!" Mamori gasped, as Citrine was shattered away by golden swords surrounding Sora and Riku, cutting everything on the Field along with one of trap cards, Scrap Iron Scarecrow.
"Take this!" both Sora and Rikku said as they had their Keyblades thrown in the air and face each other before the light and dark energies from the Keyblades grew larger and larger and–

"Huh? Her Life Points increased?" Hassleberry noticed. "Sam hill, what just happened?!"
"Her trap card, that's what." Bastion said, as the remaining trap card on the field activated before it shattered away. "With Energy Absorbing Monolith she gained Life Points from the indirect damage instead of taking one."
"Way to play Mamori!" Syrus cheered.
"T–Thank you!" Mamori blushed.
"Oh dear… I was hoping you'd take Damage." Marta sighed. "I'll end my turn."
"M–My turn now…" Mamori said, drawing out her next card. "I–I'll banish my Iolite from play, t–to add Gem–Knight Fusion i–into my hand…"
"As Gem–Knights are more focused on fusion summoning like yours, Jaden, she will display a variety of skills that would send her opponents to a loop." Bastion analyzed.
"T–Then, I play Pot of G–Greed, drawing out t–two cards." Mamori said, drawing out the top two cards from her Deck. "G–Gem Knight Fusion!"
"Again?" Marta blinked.
"Y–Yes!" Mamori quickly nodded. "T–This time, I–I'll be fusing Gem–Knight Tourmaline and Gem–Knight Amber!"
Two Gem–Knight monsters appeared immediately leaped up high into the sky. As the two entered the whirlpool up high in the air, another Gem knight, now clad with sparking yellow armor with a brownish mantle and wielding a sword that resembled a thunder, appeared.
"I Gem–Fusion Summon G–Gem–Knight Topaz!" (6/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1800)
"And here it comes." Bastion said.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Marta said worried.
"Don't worry, we got this." Riku assured.
"T–Then, Malevolent Nuzzler is p–played!" Mamori added, increasing the aura of Topaz.
Gem–Knight Topaz (6/ATK: 1800–2500/DEF: 1800)
"N–Now, go! My Topaz will attack R–Riku!" Mamori directed her monster to attack, as Topaz immediately dashed to its target.
"Not so fast!" Marta, activating her facedown showing a picture of Sora casting a clear invisible dome protecting them from an energy attack. "Reflega!"
"Huh?" Mamori said confused.
"Another new card?" Bastion raised an eyebrow.
"When a Monster with Keyblade Warrior in its name is attacked, it is stopped and the attacking Monster lose half of its ATK permanently!" Topaz was immediately put to a halt, as Sora cast the invisible dome, stopping its sword before the gem knight backed off and its body suddenly feel heavy.
Gem–Knight Topaz (6/ATK: 2500–1250/DEF: 1800)
"E–Eeto… I–I'll play Pot of Avarice. I'll return G–Gem–Knights Amber, Tourmaline, C–Citrine, Sardonyx, a–and Obsidian back i–into my deck and E–Extra Deck…" Mamori explained, fumbling on separating the said cards to the respective slots before she shuffled her deck and drew out two new cards. "I–I'll just set a c–card facedown a–and e–end my turn here…"
"Now it's my turn!" Marta said drawing her next card. "I play Card of Sanctity, allowing both us to draw until we have six cards!" Both players drew until they had six.
"Now what's she gonna do?" Jaden wondered.
"Now I summon Keyblade Warrior – Kairi in ATK mode!" Marta said next as she summoned a girl with shoulder length auburn hair, her bangs part to the opposite side. She wore a pink strapless mini–dress made up of three zippers (two appearing to be just decorative) as well as a white halter top underneath her mini–dress with a black hood. She also sports three bracelets on her left wrist, a black belt reminiscent of suspenders with a note book shaped bag attachment, and lilac sneakers. (4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1000)
"Whoa, check her out!" Jaden whistled.
"She's looks pretty!" Syrus noticed, blushing slightly at Kairi's appearance.
"Mmmm…" Mamori puffed a bit, feeling a bit jealous.
"Oh my…" Marta noticed. "Seems like someone is feeling a bit jealous…"
"Oh, man!" Sora cringed.
"Kairi's here!" Riku did the same, noticing her.
"Is something wrong?" Kairi asked.
"Mmmmmmmmmm…" Mamori pouted harder.
"I think Syrus is smitten with you and Mamori is feeling jealous." Marta said.
"Oh…" Kairi blushed slightly.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…!" Mamori pouted even harder.
"U–Uh anyways, Sora's ability activates!"

"Next, Kairi's ability lets me add her Keyblade to my Hand!" Marta said, taking the said card from the Deck. "Now I'll equip her with Keyblade – Destiny's Embrace, adding 300 to her ATK!" A flower themed Keyblade appeared in Kairi's hand.
Keyblade Warrior – Kairi (4/ATK: 1500–1800/DEF: 1000)
"Now I activate Riku's ability! I haven't activated his ability yet, so I'll do it now. Once per turn, for every Keyblade Warrior on the Field, you lose 200 Life Points!" The three keys wielded by the Keyblade Warriors glowed radiantly, shooting at Mamori's direction.

"Oh yeah, that's a hit!" Sora cheered.
"Now I'll play, Cold Wave so both of us can't activate or set any Spells or Traps until my next turn!" Marta said as Mamori's card froze.
"Oh no!" Mamori cried out.
"Now Kairi, attack Gem–Knight Topaz!" Marta commanded.
"Right!" Kairi said, before rushing in at Topaz, cutting the Gem–Knight in half with her Keyblade.

"Let's…" Sora said, jumping up high in the air.

"Wow! Marta's in total control!" Jaden said impressed.
"In one fell swoop!" Syrus said.
"Don't count Mamori out just yet." Bastion replied.
"What makes you say that?" Jaden asked.
"Something tells me when her turn come, she's going to go for one–turn kill." Bastion noted.
"You think so?" Syrus asked.
"I don't know, we'll have to see." Bastion said.
"I'll end my turn there." Marta concluded.
"My turn." Mamori said, as she drew out her card. At the same time, her tone got serious. "I summon out Rescue Rabbit in ATK mode." A small fluffy rabbit with a cute pair of goggles on its head appeared, looking onto the battlefield. (4/ATK: 300/DEF: 100)
"I end my turn." Mamori declared, as the ice melted.
"Eh?!" The spectators asked surprised.
"That's it?!" Syrus gawked.
"She has something planned." Bastion said.
"My move." Marta said, drawing her next card. "Mamori, you do realize that I can activate Riku's effect and that this duel would be over right?"
"I know." Mamori said, now feeling confident.
"You do?" Marta blinked.
"Why don't you try using it to find out?" Mamori challenged.
"Is it just me or…" Jaden said.
"She's acting confident." Syrus noticed.
"Hmmmmmmmm…" Marta said, thinking about it before saying, Sora, attack Rescue Rabbit now!"
"Reverse card, open!" Mamori declared, making them notice the said trap card while Sora jumped at Mamori for the win.
"No way!" Jaden exclaimed.
"Hallowed Life Barrier!" Hassleberry said, as a barrier formed around Mamori.
"Any damage I take this turn is now 0!" Mamori declared, as she discarded one card from her Hand into her Graveyard.
"But your monster is still destroyed…" Marta said.
"Nope. More like your End Phase has arrived." Mamori said, as Sora suddenly appeared back, much to his confusion.
"Hey, what gives?!" Sora said angrily.
"The card that I discarded was Neko Mane King; meaning it is now End Phase." Mamori explained.
"Oh my…" Marta noticed.
"That's one way to end the turn that easily." Bastion said.
"My turn. And this will be the turn that ends it all!" Mamori declared, drawing out her next card.
"What?!" Marta gasped.
"Are you saying–!" Syrus got out.
"It's her final turn." Bastion finished.
"Rescue Rabbit, activate your effect!" Mamori commanded, as the said rabbit blew its whistle loudly. Moments later, it shattered away, revealing two orbs hovering above her. In it, an identical pair of monsters hovered before landing on the ground. It turned out as two Pyro–wielding Gem–Knights appeared, rearing to go.
Gem–Knight Garnet (4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 0) x2
"Next, Gem–Knight Fusion! I fuse Garnet and Lapis from my hand, in order to Gem–Fusion Summon…" Mamori trailed off as the two said monsters fused together into a new figure. A new monster descended down, as it wore a dark blue robe over its aqua blue body. "…Gem–Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli!" (5/ATK: 2400/DEF: 1000)
"Whoa, cool card." Jaden whistled.
"Yeah, but how is Mamori gonna get through her Keyblade Warriors?" Syrus asked.
"We'll have to wait and see." Bastion replied.
"And then, I will banish Lapis, so I can add back Gem-Knight Fusion… and play it again!" Mamori said.
"Whoa, again?!" Jaden exclaimed happily.
"This time, I'll fuse three of them!" Mamori said, taking out three out of the four cards from her hand and sending it into her Graveyard. "Gem–Knights Sapphire, Crystal and Alexandrite… in order to Gem–Fusion Summon…" She trailed off as the three of them leaped up high in the air, and with a big flash, another female warrior descended down, now resembling a knight in her diamond–colored body suit, with pearl–white armor and red mantle, wielding her longsword with ease. "…Gem–Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond!" (10/ATK: 3400/DEF: 2000)
"Oh wow…" Marta said in awe.
"Lady Brilliant Diamond's effect activates!" Mamori declared, as Garnet suddenly disappeared, only to be replaced with a new figure next to it. "By tributing one 'Gem–Knight' monster, I can special summon one 'Gem–Knight' Fusion monster from my Extra Deck, regardless of its condition!"
"She can do that?!" Syrus gawked, surprised.
"She just did, private…" Hassleberry said.
"The knight of passion, Gem–Knight Citrine!" Mamori called out, as the same knight appeared once more. (7/ATK: 2200/DEF: 1950)
"That's not all she can do…" Bastion continued.
"Wait, she's still not finished yet?!" Jaden exclaimed.
"No. There is still Lady Lapis Lazuli's effect." Bastion reminded.
"I'll send Obsidian from my main deck into the Graveyard, to inflict 500 Damage to you, Marta–senpai!" Mamori said, as Lady Lapis Lazuli shot out a storm of diamonds at Marta.
"Gah!" Marta cried out.

"And then, Obsidian's effect activates!" Mamori continued where she left off, searching and adding one Normal Monster card into her hand. "I'll add my Garnet into my hand!"
"Do you know what the best part of this is?" Bastion questioned the trio.
"What?" the three said.
"She hasn't normal summoned her monster yet…" Bastion concluded.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" They gawked.
"I'm not jesting." Bastion said.
"Yeah, but…" Syrus trailed off.
"She's pulling out all the stops to win this duel." Bastion stated.
"Garnet, come back onto the field!" Mamori exclaimed, summoning the final Garnet back onto the field. (4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 0)
"Four monsters…" Marta said, before a small smile was on her face. "My, how much you've grown…"
"Final card in my hand!" Mamori exclaimed, as a large heavy storm started to sweep the field. The Keyblade Warriors lost their weapons, courtesy of a familiar card being played on the field.
"Heavy Storm!" Marta realized.

"The power of unity… Gem–Knights!" Mamori commanded, as all four of them got into their stances.
"Uh–oh…" Sora gulped.
"We're in deep trouble…" Riku gritted.
"First to attack!" Mamori said, as Lady Brilliant Diamond was the first one to rush forward with her longsword in hand. Her target: Riku. She brought down her sword, slashing Riku as the latter yelled before being destroyed into pixels.

"Next, Gem–Knight Citrine!" Mamori commanded, as Citrine's sword extended into a gigantic sword.
"Oh wow, look at that!" Jaden exclaimed happily.
"Yes, that monster can attack twice in the same battle; meaning that both Sora and Kairi won't last long on the battlefield." Bastion analyzed as Citrine starts to swing his sword downwards, creating a large holographic crater in its path.
"Now Citrine, attack!" Mamori shouted. At her command, the said knight dashed towards Sora and Kairi, slashing both of them, before the two met the same fate as Riku.

"The finisher, Garnet!" Mamori exclaimed, as Garnet leaped forward, and then~–

–it knocked off the remaining Life Points of Marta, thus ending the duel.

"Alright! Mamori won!" Syrus cheered.
"Yeah, and it was a sweet duel!" Jaden exclaimed.
"Nice work soldier." Hassleberry grinned, giving a thumbs-up to Mamori.
"E–Eh?" Mamori blinked, reverting back to her usual self.
"Mamori?"
"Y–Yes?" Mamori stuttered. It was then that Marta hugged her warmly, much to her confusion. "Marta–senpai?"
"I'm so proud of you." Marta began. "Even without my guidance, you are growing stronger and stronger every day. If you are able to muster up the courage to take things head on, I'm certain you can be independent and be a reliable friend when others would need your help."
"R–Really?" Mamori stuttered, as the two broke the hug.
"Yes. Though my deck is still new, I will find a way to make it better." Marta assured with a smile of her own. "When I have mastered this deck, I'm certain the results may vary. Until that time arrives, keep your heads up for the victory you've won. You've earned it."
"A–Arigatou." Mamori smiled with a blush.
As Jaden, Syrus, and Hassleberry joined in the conversation, Bastion looked on as he thought to himself, 'Now it's my turn.'
The next day, many students have gathered at the arena, for a duel. "Ara, I didn't know there would be this many students watching the duel…" Yukina said, looking around.
"Yeah, and most of them are those Light believers…" Kaito said, cracking his neck to loosen up.
"I wonder where Jaden, Hassleberry and Syrus are right now." Kurogasa pondered. "I know those guys won't miss a match…"
"They're probably at the same fishing spot they were at yesterday…" Marta pointed out, with Mamori at her side. "They were angry their fishing rods were dragged into the ocean…"
"Maybe a whale got them." Mitsuyo said randomly.
"Seriously?" Tsukiyo deadpanned.
"Wha~t? It's possible right?" Mitsuyo whined.
"It would be impossible."
"Huh?" the group said in unison, hearing the familiar voice.
"You're awake!" Will gasped.
"That's right." Allyson smiled gently, still wearing her infirmary clothes with bandages all over her, while sitting on a wheelchair, being assisted by her mother. "Mitsuyo, whales live in the deep sea."
"Mmmmmmmm…" Mitsuyo pouted, before she perked up saying, "Well whatever, I'm gonna watch the duel with my new boyfriend!" before hugging Masaru's arm.
"A–Ano…" Masaru blushed.
"Look at you Masaru, you finally got a girl!" Rock laughed.
"Oh? This is unexpected…" Allyson said.
"It's a long story." Tsukiyo said with a sigh.
"Whatever the story may be, tell it later, the duel is about to start…" Zathura noticed, as Bastion and Chazz are standing at the arena.
"Chazz, I will defeat you with the ultimate deck I've constructed, especially to defeat you!" Bastion claimed.
"Hah! You think you stand a chance against the Light?!" Chazz asked smugly.
"Of course! And there is only one thing that can conquer the Light!" Bastion said, before taking out his Deck. "I will use my DARK attribute Deck!"
"How original…" Chazz scoffed. "It doesn't matter, soon the Light will conquer everything!"
"A clash between darkness and light." Shunsuke noticed.
"A classic battle, for sure." Ginsuke nodded.
"The 'Light' that wields the power of darkness, and the 'darkness' that wields the power of light... which one of them would triumph?" Allyson said cryptically.
"That all depends on this duel." Kyoshiro said before both players inserted their Decks in their disks, activating them and drew their starting Hands.

"I'll start things off, if you don't mind!" Chazz declared as he drew out his card. "I'll start things off with summoning Beetron–1 Beetletop in ATK mode!" Chazz said, as a Kabuto mechanical beetle appears right before him. (4/ATK: 1700/DEF: 1300)
"Oooohh~, a new monster!" Sayaka chirped happily.
"And with the activation of Frontline Base, I can special summon a level 4 or below Union monster from my Hand!" Chazz said proudly, as the said card activated on the field. "Get out here, Beetron–2 Beetleturbo!" he declared as a Kuwagata mechanical beetle flew in, ready to attack as well. (4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1800)
"Two monsters, and one of them is a Union monster." Koji noticed.
"Unite as one, my monsters!" Chazz declared, forcing the two beetles to take flight and combine together as one. "With Beetron–2 on Beetron–1, my monster gains 400 ATK points!"
Beetron–1 Beetletop (4/ATK: 1700-2100/ DEF: 1400)
"And I'll end my turn with that!" Chazz concluded.
"You're not the only one with new cards." Bastion said, drawing his sixth card.
"Oh really." Chazz scoffed.
"Yes, in fact I'll show you right now! I summon Ally of Justice Core Destroyer!" Bastion declared as a strange machine appeared. Its body was silver and curvy and had gold pointy legs to make it four-legged like. Its only field of vision is a small red lens at the tip. (3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 200)
"Ally of Justice?" Marta blinked.
"This is something…" Allyson noted.
"The name itself is ridiculous as that Kamen Rider Reject!" Chazz said. "What chances do you have if you think that heap of junk can even touch me?!"
"I'm not finished yet." Bastion smirked. "Next I activate Double Summon, allowing me to summon once more! I summon Ally of Justice Quarantine!" At that point, a swarm of mechanical bugs appeared, six of them shooting out lasers to form a 3D diamond of dark energy. (4/ATK: 1700/DEF: 1200)
"Oh great… what now?" Chazz frowned.
"With Ally of Justice Quarantine on the Field, none of us, can Special Summon LIGHT Attribute Monsters, or for this case you can't."
"Pfft, does that really matter?" Chazz scoffed.
"It will, once all of the calculations have been made." Bastion added before taking a glance at Sartorius on the ramp, with Alexis at his side.
"He's determined to kick me out of this academy." Sartorius chuckled. "But even so, that alone would lead him to his defeat… even if he had the chance to win."
"Hmph…" Alexis scoffed.
"…" Kurogasa remained silent as he looked at Alexis, placing a hand over his heart.
"Kurogasa, are you okay?" Yukina asked, making him look at her.
"Gomen Kaa–san…" He trailed off before looking at Alexis again. Yukina knew as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Don't worry, we'll get her back." Yukina assured.
"Kaa–san…"
"Now I'll place a facedown and activate Bait Doll to force my facedown to activate now!" Bastion said, playing the card and the facedown rose up. "DNA Transplant! This lets me choose an Attribute and all Monster becomes that attribute and I choose LIGHT!"
"LIGHT? Like that's gonna do something about it…" Chazz scoffed.
"You'll be surprised to see what it can actually do, Chazz." Bastion smirked.
"Try me, nerd!" Chazz challenged.
"Okay then, suit yourself." Bastion shrugged, "Core Destroyer, attack his Beetron–1!"
"What?!" The group asked confused.
"Is he crazy?!" Tsukiyo snapped.
"No, he's not." Allyson said.
"Why's that?" Koji asked.
"Glad you asked that Koji." Bastion said. "When Core Destroyer attacks a LIGHT Monster or is attacked by a LIGHT Monster, I can destroy it before Damage Calculation."
"What?!" Chazz gasped, as the laser penetrated through Beetron–1 with ease. With an explosion, Bastion noticed Beetron–1 is still on the field.
"Hey, what gives?!" Will exclaimed. "I thought it would be destroyed!"
"He did… but the equipped card takes its place instead." Chazz replied.
Beetron–1 Beetletop (4/ATK: 2100–1700/DEF: 1400)
"Aw c'mon!" Mitsuyo whined.
"At least Bastion has control." Rika commented.
"Very well then. I'll activate my last card, Card of Sanctity, allowing us to draw until we have six cards." Bastion said and both drew cards. "Then I'll place two facedowns and end my turn."
"Let the Chazz show you how it is done!" Chazz exclaimed as he drew out his next card. "And thanks to your mistake, I can summon out my Beetletop–3 Spider Base onto the field!" Another mechanical monster appeared, with long legs that it had on its base. (4/ ATK: 1000/ DEF: 2000)
"And without missing a beat, I play my Monster Reborn, so I can special summon my Beetletop–2 Beetleturbo!"
"Since Beetleturbo is originally an EARTH monster, he can still pass through Quarantine's effect…" Rika studied, as the said monster appeared on the Field.
"But as soon as his monsters are on the field, it will be a different story." Shunsuke deducted.
"And Bastion's monsters can be proven quite troublesome with his monsters on the field." Ginsuke added.
"Next, I play Pot of Greed, so I get to draw two cards." Chazz added, drawing out two cards from his deck. "Now, my Beetletops! Ultimate Combination!"
"Ultimate Combination?" the group said, as the three said monsters flew up high in the air, combining as one fusion monster.
"Meet my Fusion summoned monster, Assault Cannon Beetle!" (8/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2800)
"And that's where I stop you." Bastion said.
"Huh?" Chazz said confused.
"Reveal facedown!" Bastion declared, flipping one of them up. "Bottomless Trap Hole!"
"Hmph…" Chazz scoffed, seeing his monster being banished from the field.
"Oh yeah! That's how it's done!" Rock cheered.
"Don't get your hopes up yet." Kyoshiro pointed out. "Chazz isn't panicking like he always does whenever things didn't go his way."
"I'll set four cards facedown and end my turn." Chazz said, as four holographic cards are seen on the field. "Let's see if you can get out of this one, dweeb!"
"Oh I intend to." Bastion said drawing his next card.
"Bring it!" Chazz challenged.
"Oh I will." Bastion said. "First I play Mystical Space Typhoon, allowing me to destroy one of your facedowns, starting with the far left!"
"Heh…" Chazz scoffed, as the first card that was destroyed was none other than–
"Dark Rider's Gift!" Chazz declared, as the said trap card shattered away. "With this trap card, should it be destroyed by a card effect, I'm allowed to destroy one card on the field and Special Summon one DARK Kamen Rider onto the field, from my deck!"
"What the–?!" Kurogasa gasped, as he quickly got up from his seat, and so did Kyoshiro. While it occurred, a black mist shrouded around DNA Transplant, shattering it into pieces.
"Awaken your darkest desire! Kamen Rider Nega Den–O!" Chazz called out, as a silhouette appeared.
"WHAT?!" Everyone shouted.
The silhouette pressed the button and a low warped distorted version of Momotaros's tune played before the silhouette said, "Henshin…" and swiped the pass over the belt.

"I… have arrived." Nega Den–O declared.
"Where in the world did he get those Dark Rider cards!?" Kurogasa exclaimed.
"Surprised, tough guy?" Chazz mocked Kurogasa happily. "Yeah, you aren't the only one that can wield these warriors! Master Orma allowed me to wield this deck, to catch everyone off guard! And plus, it goes to show that I can do it WAY better than you ever wield your puny delusional Riders! And when I say delusional, that includes you, hero–wannabe!"
"Nandato~?!" Kurogasa growled.
"Shounen, calm yourself." Takatora said appearing in spirit form.
"Gh…!" Kurogasa gritted.
"Do not let anger take over you." Takatora warned. "He is just a sad little boy, hiding his true self with his arrogance."
"Now, Bastion. Let's see what happens when you mess with the Society of Light!" Chazz exclaimed.
"Try me, Chazz!" Bastion challenged. "I will outsmart and outwit you with my calculations!"
"Then, calculate this! Nega Den–O will attack your Quarantine!" Chazz declared.
"This will be fun." Nega Den–O said before swiping his pass.
FULL CHARGE!
The belt shot out purple electricity and it gathered into his sword before charging in at Quarantine.
"Not so fast, I activate the trap, Half or Nothing!" Bastion declared, revealing his facedown. "You can either continue with Nega Den–O's ATK cut in half or end the Battle Phase right here!"
"Heh! You forgot about Nega Den–O's multiple effects! And I choose number 3!"
"What?!" Bastion gasped, as he noticed sparks created on his trap card.
"Your Trap Card… has been negated!" Chazz grinned evilly. Nega Den-O slashed Quarantine and the mechanical bugs exploded into pixels.

"And then, the chain follows suit…" Chazz said, activating his trap card. "Dark Rider's Intervention!"
"Another one?!" Kurogasa gasped.
"And this one is not one I created or your late uncle's!" Kyoshiro got out.
"When my monster inflicted damage on my opponent, I can return Nega Den–O back onto my Deck, shuffle it and if it is a monster, I can Special Summon another one onto the field!" Chazz declared as Nega Den–O disappeared. Doing a quick take out from his deck, he shuffled it nicely before putting it back onto his deck slot. "Let's see… who will inflict more harm?"
"He sounds like he's confident about it…" Koji noticed.
"Or as if he has mastered that deck…" Rika added.
"Hey, look up there!" Tsukiyo pointed out as a silhouette dived down from the top of the roof and noticed a figure heading down to Bastion for more damage.
"Kamen Rider Rey!" Kurogasa noticed, as Rey is in full armor and wielded his gigantic claws. (4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1400)
"That's right, I special summoned him and I immediately attack the dweeb!" Chazz exclaimed, making Rey get into position for the attack.
"You have to go through my Core Destroyer first!" Bastion pointed out as Rey used his Fuestle.
WAKE UP!
"Suffer the eternal chill…" Rey muttered coldly as he charged in and slashed Core Destroyer into pieces.

"Bastion!" his friends exclaimed.
"I'm alright." Bastion replied, after recovering from the explosion.
"With this, I'll end my turn." Chazz said before letting out an arrogant laugh. "Did you see that, Reject? I can master YOUR DEAD UNCLE'S deck without a hassle! Why bother putting up some strategies, while you can pummel down your foes with an iron fist, instead?!"
"TAKE THAT BACK!" Kurogasa yelled.
"Kurogasa…" Yukina said worriedly.
Sartorius using his powers, said, in Chazz's mind, 'Chazz, as much as we want to rile up Kurogasa, please focus on the task at hand.'
'Ah, of course! Forgive me, Master Sartorius.' Chazz replied back.
'As long as you done well on your job, that is all that matters. Do not waste any moment on shattering your opponent.' Sartorius added.
'I'll remember that.' Chazz replied before glaring at Bastion. "Well now, Bastion! Make your move!"
"I will. And I'm done playing nice." Bastion frowned, drawing his next card to make his Hand at five.
"Oh?" Chazz raised an eyebrow.
"First, I play my own Pot of Greed to draw two extra cards!" Bastion said, drawing two and now his Hand is at six. "Next I play Book of Moon, putting Kamen Rider Rey facedown!"
"Hey!" Rey snapped as he was turned over and his card was now sideways down.
"Now I play Cost Down! By discarding a card, I can lower the level of all Monsters I summon by 2!" Bastion said next as he discarded a card. "Now I summon Ally of Justice Enemy Hunter!" At that point, a mechanical squid appeared on the Field (5–3/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1800)
"Ewww~~~!" Mitsuyo stuck her tongue out in disgust.
"Why are you acting like that?" Tsukiyo asked.
"It's an icky squid!" Mitsuyo pointed out, making Tsukiyo facepalm on her sister's reaction.
"And what does that do?" Chazz scoffed.
"Once per turn, he can take control of a facedown Monster on your side of the Field." Bastion said.
"WHAT?!" Chazz roared.
"Oh yeah! That will do just fine, with his tactics!" Rock exclaimed happily.
"You want it? You got it!" Chazz kept his cool once more, making Bastion baffled.
"What?"
"You want him so much, you take him!" Chazz said before activating his trap card. "Oh, and take this Trojan Blast along with you; so it will be destroyed and you will take damage equals to its ATK!
"What?!" Bastion shouted, before the card went over to him and exploded.

Bastion: 1100
"Grrrrrr…" Bastion growled. "Very clever, but you'll pay for that. Now I'll play, Megamorph doubling his attack since my Life Points are lower!"
Ally of Justice Enemy Hunter (5–3/ATK: 1800–3600/DEF: 1800)
"Now I'll activate my last card, Cold Wave to make sure you don't activate your last card!" He said as the card froze. "Now Enemy Hunter attack his Life Points directly!" Enemy Hunter aimed its tentacles at Chazz's, charging up for a strong attack. Multiple shots were fired and as a result–
*BOOM!*

Ally of Justice Enemy Hunter (5–3/ATK: 3600–1800–900/DEF: 1800)
"Hmph…" Chazz scoffed, not fazed.
"I'll end my turn…" Bastion concluded.
"My move! And it will all end in this turn!" Chazz said, drawing out his third card. Taking a glance on it, a smirk can be seen on his face before placing one card onto his duel disk. "I summon out another Kamen Rider onto the field… Punch Hopper!"
"Oh boy…" Koji got out.
"Wherever Punch Hopper goes, so does Kick Hopper…" Rika gulped, as two silhouettes stood next to each other. The Hopper ZECTers came jumping in before they were caught by the silhouettes.
"Henshin…"

Energy hexagons covered the silhouettes before they became the green and grey Hopper Riders. (3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 600) x2
CHANGE: PUNCH/KICK HOPPER!
"The battle is done…" Alexis said.
"Indeed it has." Sartorius said before he and Alexis started to walk away.
"Hey, I'm not finished with you yet, Sartorius!" Bastion called out.
"Of course." Chazz said before correcting him. "It's because you're done! By skipping their battle phase, halve of their ATK points will directed to you! Sic' 'em, boys!"
"Let's do this, aibou." Kick Hopper said.
"Yeah, aniki." Punch Hopper agreed before both of them flips their device to the other side of their ZECTers.
RIDER JUMP!
"BASTION, NO!" Kurogasa shouted as the Hopper Riders jumped up in the air.
"I'm sorry… I failed…" Bastion said, before looking at him, smiling sadly. "Kurogasa, it's all up to you now."
RIDER PUNCH/KICK!

"Ooft!" Bastion winced in pain, ended up landing on his back.
"And with that, my job here is done." Chazz scoffed.
"Oh no! We're too late!" another voice got out, getting their attention as it turned out to be Jaden, Syrus and Hassleberry; panting heavily for some reason.
"S–Syrus-senpai! Minna!" Mamori stuttered.
"I hate running…" Syrus groaned.
"Where have you three been?!" Rika scolded.
"Fishing!" Jaden said.
"And was about to have a tuna BBQ, until Aster told us about this!" Hassleberry said.
"Aster told you guys?" Allyson asked.
"Yeah, something about Bastion going to lose this duel!" Syrus added.
"And you're looking at it." Will pointed out.
"Here's the other thing that you should know." Hassleberry added. "Even if that soldier got his tactics right, he would still lose this war."
"WHAT?!" the group gasped.
"That's the truth, soldier." Hassleberry added. "And it all came from Aster!"
"No way…" Rika said.
"And now…" Marta said.
"I have seen the Light…" Bastion's voice said. "All of the errors that I did not see before encountering the Light… and the path it shines for me. I have seen it now! My destiny!"
"Good!" Chazz smirked proudly. "Let us be on our way!"
"At once!" Bastion nodded, quickly following him.
"Oh, and Reject?" Chazz called Kurogasa without even looking back.
"What?" Kurogasa scolded from the sidelines.
"Master Sartorius has foretold your destiny about your next duel… you will fall to the Light when you have your duel… against Alexis!"
"Gh…!" Kurogasa gritted.
"I'll let you stew over that." Chazz smirked before leaving.
"Don't listen to him Goshujin–sama!" Tamamo said appearing next to Kurogasa. "He's just a meanie who bullies people!"
"…" Kurogasa remained silent.
"Splendid. Another member has joined our ranks." Orma chuckled as Sartorius and Alexis met up with him. "Congratulations Sartorius."
"Ah, if it wasn't for the cards you've given him, none of this would've happened." Sartorius chuckled. "Well, not exactly, that is…"
"Are you saying you would convince that young man to be our ally?" Orma asked.
"Oh, no. That's not what I meant." Sartorius corrected. "No matter what the boy decided, either to join us or against us, none of it matters as he would eventually join our group. His destiny has been foretold from the get go."
"You are one sly dastard." Orma chuckled.
"Why thank you." Sartorius chuckled back.
"And now Alexis my dear." Orma said.
"Yes Master Orma." Alexis nodded.
"I believe it's time we give your deck… a little upgrade."
Kurogasa was sitting in his room all alone, trying to forget about what Chazz said, but couldn't.
"Goshujin–sama, daijobu desu ka?" Tamamo asked appearing.
"No Tamamo, I'm not okay." Kurogasa said sadly. "We just lost another friend. Alexis was bad enough, but losing Bastion is too much. And with Chazz saying that Alexis will beat me… I… I don't know what to do…"
"Is this really a good time to let your spirit down, boss?" Akira appeared, leaning against the wall while crossing his arms.
"He's right! You can still beat her with us to help you out!" Kousuke added.
"It's not over until we say so." Gou appeared, sitting on the floor while taking a picture of his parent's room.
"I know but… every day it's getting bleaker and–"
"Aw mou~!" Tamamo whined before–
*POW!*
–pouncing Kurogasa.
"Ow, Tamamo what are you–"
"Why are you always being so sad?" Tamamo pouted as a tear formed at the corner of her eye. "When I see you sad, Tamamo feels sad too!"
"Tamamo…" Kurogasa muttered.
"I just want you to be happy…" Tamamo mumbled. "At least be optimistic about saving Alexis."
Kurogasa looked at Tamamo for a while, before smiling sadly and patted her head. "Suman, Tamamo. I didn't mean to worry you. I'll try to be more positive from now on."
"Hmnn!" Tamamo smiled happily, wagging her tail and her ears straightened up excitedly. "As expected from you, Goshujin–sama!"
"So, we're gonna save a princess in distress, huh?" Gou said.
"From the looks of it, yes." Mr. Belt said.
"This whole Society of Light stuff really reminds us of our situation with Freeze." Shinnosuke recalled.
"Freeze?" Kurogasa raised an eyebrow.
"He's the leader of the Roidmudes." Shinnosuke explained.
"Exactly." Mr. Belt said sternly having an angry expression on its face. "He is a very dangerous foe. He has the ability to freeze people's memories and alter them to his liking."
"But we were able to defeat him with our new form." Shinnosuke said.
"A new form?"
"We can't tell you what it is, young man." Mr. Belt replied with a neutral look. "That means you have to look for it yourself."
"I see." Kurogasa said.
"So~ until then… I wanna snuggle with you!" Tamamo chirped, before rubbing her face on his, making him blush.
"Oi Tamamo, c-cut that out!" Kurogasa stammered.
"Oh ho~? Looks like his conquest has begun." Otoya chuckled.
"Conquest?" Gou asked.
"Getting a harem, of course!"
"Otoya, one of these days, you're gonna get it!" Kurogasa growled angrily, while still trying to break the snuggling from Tamamo, but to no avail.
"Say that once you've get out from that situation." Otoya chuckled.
"This is going to be one interesting bunch." Gou muttered with a smirk.
TWF: Wohoo! Two duels! TWO duels!
Fen: Yeah, Marta and Mamori finally get to duel this season, but Bastion is on the bad side now.

Reflega

Effect: Activate when a Monster with "Keyblade Warrior" in its name is attacked, negate the attack and halve the ATK of the attacking Monster (permanently).

Effect: If this card is destroyed by card effects, you may destroy one card on your opponent's side of the field and Special Summon one DARK Kamen Rider from your deck, regardless of its condition.
Dark Rider's Intervention
Type: Normal Trap Card
Effect: If your "Kamen Rider" successfully inflicted damage to your opponent, you must return the attacking monster back into your deck and shuffled it. Draw the top card of your deck and if it is a monster with "Kamen Rider" in its name, Special Summon it onto the field. If not, add it into your hand.
