James held a hand to his cheek, staring at Abigayle in shock. "Wha- What was that for!"
Abigayle sneered at him, "Because you're an idiot, that's why! You should have just left me alone! Why didn't you leave me alone?"
"Because you need help, Abigayle. You just yelled at all of us, and walked out of the room. The things you said Abigayle, that's not you!"
Abigayle stared in silence for a moment, fury, sadness, and other emotions flashing in her eyes. Her anger took over, and she moved to slap James again, but he grabbed her wrist before she could get close.
"Calm down, Abby." He stared into her eyes, until she started shaking her head, and yanking on her arm.
"Let me go! Let me go!" She moved her other hand to attack him, but he grabbed it as well.
"Look at me! Abigayle!" He yelled at her until her dark hazel eyes finally looked to him. Holding her gaze he continued to speak to her, "I want to help you Abigayle. You have to tell me what's wrong. Talk to me, ok?"
She started trembling, her eyes filling with tears one again. "Oh, Merlin!" She closed her eyes as the trembling got worse, "It's all my fault James. I'm so sorry. So sorry. If I hadn't been around none of this would have happened!"
James was in shock once more, he had thought she was over it. Hell, he hadn't even known she had felt that way in the first place. If he had known. . . Of course the stares he knew he was giving her wasn't helping the situation.
"Abigayle. Look at me. None of this is your fault. I, for one, am glad you came around. And I'm sure everyone else is." Releasing one of her wrists, he moved his hand to cup her face.
She started laughing, though it wasn't really a laugh. "You're a dirty liar, James. Victoria isn't happy I'm around, I don't think she ever was. Adrianna is terrified of me! Ally doesn't trust me at all, neither does Rose! No one else in the Order would care if I would just disappear! I'm the reason Lyn is dead! Don't try to tell me otherwise!"
Magic began swirling around the two as Abigayle's emotions went haywire. Her eyes began to turn green , showing that her magic was trying to protect her from something she probably never had to deal with before. Her emotions raising.
That was when he pulled her closer, and gently pressed his lips to hers. Her eyes widened and she backed away from him quickly. He gave her a sad smile.
"Never call me a liar, ok? I have never, and will ever, lie to you. I would care if you disappeared, Abigayle. I'd probably do more than care, I'd probably disappear right along with you. Abigayle I care."
"I. . ." She held her hand to her lips for a moment, before looking back to James, "I'm. . . I'm Voldemort's daughter. . . And you. . . You're Harry Potter's. . . You shouldn't care. . . You should be trying to kill me!"
James' smile turned into a smirk, "I don't really care about the whole. . . Family thing. If we like each other, we like each other. There isn't anything they can do about it. Besides, weren't you the one who said that you can't base someone's act on those before them, and how they wanted that someone to be?"
"I was talking about a snake, you idiot!" She responded, sounding more like herself already.
"Aren't you the school's perfect snake though?" James' smirk got larger, and a bit more irritating.
". . . Shut up." Abigayle shook her head, look away from James. Her eyes flicked to him every few moments, looking unsure of something. She eventually got up the nerve to ask him the question. "So. . . what does this make us?"
"I guess that depends on what happens next." James easily pulled Abigayle closer once more, and this time, she met her lips to his. And things stayed peaceful for a while.
Around a month later, the Order was walking to History of Magic class, getting to meet the new, apparently permanent, teacher. The group was wondering who would have the guts to take over Lyn's old job.
"I wonder what they'll be like." Adrianna said cheerfully.
"Who knows. Probably boring." Victoria responded.
"Ok, you two. I'm sure whatever they're like, they'll be fantastic." Ally said, then turned to look at the couple behind her, "What do you think Abby?"
"Hmm?" Abigayle and James stopped their steps and hand swinging to look at Ally, "I'm sure they'll be great, whomever they are."
"Merlin, you two are creepy when you do that." Victoria said, looking between James and Abigayle.
They responded together, "Thanks."
"Come on, guys! We don't want to be late to meet the new teacher!" Adrianna stated, skipping ahead. The rest of the group shook their heads, that was until they heard her scream.
Hearing that the entire group ran forward, Victoria first. When she get inside, there was an loud gasp coming from the girl. The others looked around the room, trying to find what was wrong, when they saw her.
A translucent girl sat on the desk. One with dark hair, blue eyes, and a smirk. A very familiar girl.
A dead girl.
"Hello class."
Don't hate me! This is the end of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Part 1! Part 2 and the one-shot series shall begin soon, I promise.
And yes, Lyn is back.
Though for some, who want the story to end with James and Abigayle being in love, I will be posting a second ending, that ends it all. I would recommend that everyone read it, because it will tie in somewhat with the one-shot series I will be writing.
Sadly, the posting will probably get slower soon, because my friend has now got me working on a few new fanfictions, that have nothing to do with Harry Potter (Though I do have a new idea for that, more on that later though.) The fanfictions have to do with animes she has somehow magically gotten me into, and those will start soon as well if any of you are interested.
I can't believe Part 1 is over, can you? This was my first real fanfiction, and I'm proud of it. And I'm proud over the fact that it is over!
Thanks for reading Part 1.
