Chapter Thirty-Five: The Past Life revealed
The scouts were astonished. Princess Sailor Moon looked at them sadly and resumed playing her harp. An image appeared behind her of the past life.
Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion were in the Moon Palace when she was attacked; Endymion jumped in front of his beloved and took the blow for her. Everyone gasped when they saw that Kunzite was the attacker. Serenity dropped to her knees beside Endymion's still form.
"Endymion!" She cried out. A massive surge of energy came from her and engulfed both the Moon and the Earth, destroying everything. The Prince and Princess were left lying hand-and-hand in the ruins of the Moon Palace.
The image faded. Amy made to move towards Princess Sailor Moon.
"Stay back" The Princess warned. A gold light surrounded her and she vanished. Princess Sailor Moon reappeared on a rooftop.
"Can Endymion and I really be together?" She whispered. "Even though we are reborn, the past life..." She trailed off and began to play the harp once more. She vanished and reappeared in a white room, facing Usagi.
Darien was in his dorm room when Sailor Pluto appeared before him.
"You must help Usagi" She said. "Her power and the power of Queen Metalia are the same. If she continues to use the crystal the planet will be destroyed again."
"The crystal is a part of her" Darien said. "How can we stop her using it?"
"That you must figure out on your own, Endymion" Pluto said, before vanishing.
In the Secret Base, everyone met to discuss the fact that the Princess was responsible for the world's destruction in the past.
"It is because of the death of Endymion" Zaira said, glancing at Darien. He sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"The Silver Crystal's power flares when Usagi's emotions became powerful" Raye commented. Amy nodded.
"Yes. Like when she tried to save Raye or when Darien got hurt" She said.
"So what do we do?" Makoto asked. "Everything was easier when we only had to defeat the enemy" Everyone nodded, knowing that Makoto was right. How could they defeat the Princess, but keep Usagi.
Mina and Jason were walking on a path, discussing recent events.
"Now that we know that the Silver Crystal and Queen Metalia have the same power, we have to find some way to stop Usagi from using the crystal" Mina said. Jason nodded. "The past is about to repeat itself. We must keep..."
"No!" Jason said. He turned to face Mina. "I'm sorry for yelling at you before, but We mustn't interfere with Usagi and Darien"
"But, the past life..." Mina protested,
"Is the past" Jason said firmly. "Our job is to protect Darien and Usagi and Earth. We won't let it be destroyed, but that doesn't mean we have to destroy their happiness" Mina fell silent.
Usagi faced Princess Sailor Moon.
"What a sad song" She mused, gesturing to the harp. "Are you thinking about Endymion?" Princess Sailor Moon looked down sadly.
"I cannot be with him" She said softly. "That which was decided in the past will not change"
"How do you know?" Usagi asked. "The future is never set in stone" Princess Sailor Moon looked at her.
"Do you really think so?" She asked.
"I know so" Usagi replied.
Motoki was struggling with a large box full of groceries when human JunJun walked over to him.
"Do you need help?" She asked. Motoki looked up at her and smiled.
"Sure" He said. JunJun smiled and took some of the groceries and they began to walk to the car.
In the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl summoned CereCere.
"You must destroy the Princess before she destroys the world once more" Beryl commanded.
"Of course, my queen" CereCere said quietly.
Jason paced back and forth, in his dorm room. Zaira sat on Ken's lap and watched him.
"Have you gotten your memories back?" Zaira asked. Jason nodded.
"We were her lackeys" He said, clenching his fists.
"I know how you feel" Kunzite said. "It makes me sick that I allowed her to turn me against you guys"
"She's going to pay for making us suffer" Jason said. He narrowed his eyes. "I will protect Darien and Usagi with my life"
Usagi handed the clock to Princess Sailor Moon.
"It was a gift from Da..Endymion" Usagi said. Princess Sailor Moon accepted it.
"Beryl wants him for herself" She commented. "What if he is torn away again"
"I won't let that happen" Usagi said firmly.
"If nothing changes, the tragedy will happen all over again" Princess Sailor Moon replied. "If Endymion is killed, I might do the same thing and the planet will be destroyed"
Usagi reappeared on the rooftop and, as some of Queen Metalia's Youma appeared, She transformed into Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon destroyed the Youma just as Prince Endymion and his generals appeared. Endymion looked at her with a soft smile on his face.
"The planet definitely will not be destroyed" They said together.
