Norman Osborn slammed his fist into his desk as he watched Flash Thompson admit he worked for him. "I can't…believe it!" he growled as he threw the papers from his desk.

Standing in the doorway was Alistair Smythe who interrupted Osborn's hissy-fit. "Uhhh sir…"

Osborn snarled, but then he turned to Smythe and readjusted his tie. "What is it, Alistair! I'm busy!"

Smythe walked over to his boss and handed him some papers. "The Spider-Slayer v.2 is about ready for launch…just give it a day or two, sir."

Norman's sneer turned to a grin. "That's great, Smythe! Now leave me be. I need to…I just need to relieve some stress…and some stressors…"

Alistair silently nodded and walked out of the room. Norman sat back in his chair and held his head. "My empire…my slowly built empire…all falling down because a soldier went AWOL on me, who is he to choose what he should do?" Norm said as he got back up from his chair and paced around his office.

"Oh Norman, Norman, Norman…what are we going to do about the Spiders? The Hobgoblin? The Spiders will get their due…but that Hobgoblin…" he pondered as he pulled out the Green Goblin costume. "One more time...if only to show who the superior Goblin is…"

Norman then donned the Goblin costume again for the first time in a long time and took flight into the night. His screeching laughter could be heard all across town.

It didn't take long for the Hobgoblin to start trailing his green counterpart and try to take him out of the sky by lobbing pumpkin bombs. Gobby just barrel rolled around the bombs and then took a dive towards Hobby.

Hobby pulled out his flame sword and tried to slash at the Goblin. Gobby flew below the slash and grabbed shot an electric pulse from his finger at Hobby's wingpack.

This deactivated the orange and blue clad villain's wings and he went down until the Green Goblin snatched him up and yanked the flame sword right from his hands. Hobgoblin pleaded "Wait! I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!"'

Goblin chortled and replied "You're a pathetic wreck at least Kingsley would have some decency! But not you! You're a shoddy knock-off of an already weaker knock-off! And I don't appreciate that!"

In one swift movement, Goblin stabbed the flame sword into Urich's stomach and twisted, burning him alive from the inside out. His garbled screams for help were soon silenced and Goblin just ditched the corpse onto the road below him. A crash was heard and it was clear that the body had fallen on a car, causing it to swerve into a building. This only caused the Goblin to laugh harder as he took off.

Now at Felicia Hardy's house, the Spiders and friends had just arrived. Flash placed Peter's body onto a sofa, and the rest of the Spiders dispersed around the house.

"Make yourselves at home." Felicia said as she removed her little domino mask and walked into another room.

Anti-Venom sat on the couch and turned on the TV. "How can you watch TV at a time like this?" Gwen asked as she kneeled next to Peter and held him.

"Like this." Anti-Venom said as he surfed through the channels.

"Relax, Spider-Woman" Toxin said to mellow the tension "Down at the police force whenever we got an injured cop, we get him to a place to rest, and we don't worry about it. If we do, that just worsens the situation."

"You don't get it!" Gwen yelled but then Ben cut into the incoming argument. "Calm down, everybody, the least we need right now is to fight."

"He right" Kaine said as he place Otto's body on the ground. "As much as I used to love fighting you guys, we don't have time for it."

Felicia walked out of her room in a casual white t-shirt that was too big and some shorts. She sat down next to Eddie on the couch and kicked her feet up on the table.

Eddie waved to her and she waved back. She turned to him and said "Y'know…I think maybe I was a bit too harsh on you when we first met, Eddie."

Eddie waved his hand carelessly and replied "Ahhhh don't worry about it, I can see why."

"You know what big fella I might as well give you a chance. How about after this all blows over, you n' me catch a movie or something?" Felicia asked Eddie.

Eddie turned to Felicia and asked "Wait, really?"

She nodded and he asked "Are you…sure?"

"Positive." She said as she looked at her nails.

He scooted slightly closer to her and smiled, not saying a single word.

Cindy was hanging out on the ceiling and she was just looking around, remaining silent to the fighting earlier and the calmness of now.

Then Ben was also up there and crawling next to her. "Hi."

Silk fell from the ceiling in shock and hit the ground. Ben leapt down from the ceiling and asked "Are you…are you alright?"

She nodded and her face became as red as a tomato. "I'm fine, fine, just fine…uhhhh…you shocked me."

Ben smiled and pulled her back up "Sorry, sorry."

"It's fine." She said as she beamed at him.

Before anybody else could say anything Peter got up from the sofa. Gwen ran up to him and hugged him. "Peter…" she whispered as she hugged him "You're…you're alright."

Peter said "Yeah…yeah…I'm fine, Gwen. I'm fine." He then looked at Kaine and Otto as he asked "What are THEY doing here?"

Kaine squinted and explained "We're here because we want to help you."

"Good." Peter approved. "We're going to need as much help as we need. I think it's time we take the fight to Norman himself! We take on Oscorp as a group!"

Ben asked "What are you planning, Pete?"

Peter stood straight and crossed his arms. "What I'm planning is a final assault on Oscorp. He's attacked us! He's attacked the ones we love, so it's time we attack him back!"

Now cut to Norman Osborn who sat in his office, twirling around the deactivated flame sword he took back from Urich. "It's time I take the final battle to the Spiders! The Spider-Slayer v.2 will be ready to go tomorrow! It's time I finish this!"

Back with Spidey and the gang he continued with his speech "It's time we finish this…as a team! Osborn has wrong just about every one of us in one way or another! And now we need to expose him for the monster he is!"

Norman ran his hands through his hair as he continued his monologue. "If they want to take away this city from me, then I'll be damned if I'm not giving them one hell of a fight over it!"

"Take back our city!" Spidey proclaimed.

Norman shrieked "Keep control of my city!"

"But most important…" Spidey began his finisher

"What's greatest part of this?" Norman asked himself

"Is that we protect the people of New York!" Spidey declared as the Spiders cheered.

"The most important part of this is that I destroy those Spiders, even if the city must die with them!" Norman proclaimed as the voices in his head cheered him on.

Author's note: Well if you can't tell, this here is a bit filler chapter I guess. Just a little bit of extra fluff in between the previous chapter and the next one. And the next few will be a doozy. We're reaching the home stretch it looks like. So yeah, the next coming chapters will probably be part of a big finale as it were. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this bit of fluff in between the darker chapters.
