A Sequel to Chapter 14 of Parental Bat Moments. Contains Batman Beyond spoilers and OC's!.

Superman knew something was wrong from the sheer amount of speed to Batman's power walk. They had received a message from Flash earlier and were now on their way to meet with the others at Mount Justice.

"So do you know what's going on?" asked Cark but Batman ignored him, instead storming into a meeting room.

"Have you confirmed it?" the Dark Knight asked Flash who nodded solemnly.

"The residual waves were reported about an hour ago; it's the same readings as when the kids were sent forward last year." The members of Young Justice looked confused.

"Meaning?" asked KF and his Uncle sighed

"When you and the others accidently went forward in time last year there were readings on our monitors, reading that haven't shown up since you came back...until now."

"So does that mean someone went to the future?" asked Artemis, but Flash shook his head.

"I don't think so. I think someone came back to our time from the future."

Batman frowned "Find them, before they do damage." He then turned and started to walk out.

"Where are you going?" asked Superman as the Dark Knight passed him.

"Too inform Robin."

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Large violet eyes opened in annoyance. What was the infernal beeping? Deciding it was not going to stop on its own Raven unfolded herself from her meditation and went in search of its source and found herself on the dorm floor.

"Hey Raven, what you up too?" the dark being did not need to turn to know it was Cyborg.

"Can you hear it?" the half robot paused behind her and listened. After a few seconds he could hear the beeping that must have been irritating Raven.

"Yeh I hear it. Where's it coming from?" they both moved forward until they were stood outside a bedroom door.

"It's coming from in here."

"But that's Robin's room." Said Cyborg taking a step back "No matter how annoying that sound is we cannot go into Robin's room."

Raven shrugged "Fine stay out here." Before Cyborg could say anything else, she opened the door with her mind and entered.

The room itself wasn't that remarkable. It was plain and very neat, with books lining one wall (which were neatly stacked unlike in her room) and a made bed along the other. There were no posters on the walls, no pictures around the room. In fact, if the empath didn't know any better, she would have said this was a guest bedroom. Following the sound of the beeping she was drawn to a draw in the bedside table. She pulled the handle but it didn't budge. It was locked. Raven stared indecisively at it for a moment before concluding that she had to stop the irritating noise but that was all she would do, she would not look at anything else in this draw. Quickly before she could change her mind she once again used her telekinetic powers to unlock the lock and opened the draw. The source of the beeping was a phone shaped like a bat.

"Did you find it?" said a voice close behind her.

"I thought you were staying outside" said Raven half amused.

"Yeh well, I was curious." Raven shook her head slightly before pulling out the phone. To her alarm something underneath the phone stuck to the back of the metal bat device and then fell to the floor as she pulled it away from the draw. Cyborg jumped to catch it. In all honesty he hadn't meant to look at it, it had just happened. The picture was of a man with black hair and grey eyes; he had a boy on his shoulders that looked around 10. The boy also had black hair but his eyes were a magnificent shade of light blue.

"Do you think that's his dad?" he found himself asking before he could help it.

"I don't know" said Raven "And you shouldn't be looking."

"He looks happy." Cy frowned, their Robin wasn't happy. Sure he laughed and had fun with his team but Cyborg could tell that deep down their leader was broken inside.

"It's stopped ringing" said Raven staring down at the phone "Whoever it was must have given up."

"I think it's pretty obvious who it was." There was a silent agreement between the two friends. It could be no other than one man. A man they all knew had been in Robin's life. But it was the one man Robin never spoke about and left the room when he was mentioned.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Batman walked back into the room, the heroes had known him long enough to at least know the difference between average mood bat and pissed bat. Currently he was in pissed bat mode. Clearly Robin was still ignoring his calls.

"Maybe he's just busy" said Clark who had come over to stand next to him. Batman once again ignored him leaving the room in an awkward silence. But the silence was broken when the monitors in front of Barry became active once again.

"Are they jumping back to the future?" asked Wally

"No..." Flash looked straight at Batman "More are coming over. And if my calculations are correct, they should land here, in the mountain." All the heroes moved after that, spreading out around the mountain to find the intruders. M'gann was the last to leave the room; she was searching the mountain for any strange minds that she did not recognise. Finally she came across two that led her to the training room. She closed her eyes and tried to focus on them but it soon became apparent that they were blocking her.

"I wouldn't bother trying to read our minds" came a male voice from the shadows, which was soon joined by a female voice "We are trained to block your kind out."

"Who are you?" said M'gann while telepathically calling for the others. She stepped back as two figures emerged from the darkness.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

The heroes ran to the training room after receiving M'gann's distress call, only to find the martain unharmed and chatting to two masked figures.

"Batman! Nightwing!" cried Kid Flash, which left the older heroes confused.

"KF!" said the man, they presumed was "Batman", he had a black cape less suit with a red bat symbol on the front but it was clear he wasn't Bruce or Dick. Wally seemed to recognise their confusion and explained.

"When we went to the future we were sent to the batcave, this is Batman from the future and his partner Nightwing." The present Batman looked over the two closely, the future Batman he could slightly understand but Nightwing? He looked over the woman in her black suit with the blue bird over the chest. Where did she come in?

"What are you doing here?" asked M'gann

"A villain from our time got hold of a time machine; we had to follow him to bring him back." Said Nightwing.

"Any idea what he's after?" asked Artemis, but Nightwing didn't answer, she looked over all the heroes with a frown.

"Where's Robin?" there was an awkward pause over the group.

"He left" said Wally finally "He has a new team now." Nightwing's eyes seemed to widen, she turned to the future Batman.

"That's why he came back to this time; he doesn't have the protection of the league."

"He'll have us if we get too him first." Said future Batman before turning to the group "The man who came back before us is the grandson of Death Stroke the Terminator. We believe he has come back to murder one of the strongest heroes from our time while he is still a child."

"How can we help?" asked Connor

"We need to find Robin."

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

The Titans were beginning to get worried. They were used to their mysterious leader disappearing from time to time; they understood that he was very troubled. But he was usually back with them by sunrise the next day. Starfire watched the sunrise over Jump City. Robin was still missing.

"Maybe he went home for awhile?" offered Starfire "We know Robin has family back in this Gotham, maybe he has the homesickness?"

"He would have informed us if he was going out of the city." said Raven "He always does."

"Besides" interjected Beast Boy "Remember the last time someone mentioned the name Batman? He bolted from the room faster than I can eat a tofu burger!"

"BB's got a point. Whatever went down between Batman and Robin was big. I think it would take something equally as big to get them over it. Sorry Star." Cyborg gave her a sympathetic look; he knew how fond she was of the kid. "I'm sure he's fine" he added "You know what he's been like since the Slade incident. He needs some time to get over that."

"Maybe you are right" Star lowered her head and turned back to the window. That was when they heard it again. The beeping.

"That's it, I'm answering it!" said Raven flying over to where they had left the bat phone. She opened it to reveal a screen that after a moment revealed none other than the Batman.

"Where is Robin?" he asked, the rest of the team shrank away from the stern voice but Raven didn't seem effected.

"He's not here. We were beginning to wonder if he was with you." The Dark Knight shook his head.

"I haven't heard from in months." He paused for a moment before looking at the empath "How long has he been missing?"

"24 hours" said Raven "We were just discussing that he normally returns by sunrise, but there's no sign of him." The Batman seemed to frown; he seemed to be thinking something over.

"I'm sending some members of Young Justice over to help you look for him. It's vital that we find him quickly." Raven's eyes widened slightly.

"Why? What's going on?"

"We have a situation. The team will inform you when they arrive." At that the Dark Knight disappeared.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Robin sat very still, his legs hanging over the edge of a building and his eyes closed behind his sunglasses. He took a deep breath as a fresh breeze whipped past him. He was enjoying himself. Sometimes it was good to get away from it all, to get out of the Robin suit and be back into jeans and a T-shirt. Opening his light blue eyes he watched as the sun started to set over Jump City.

He had been gone from the tower all day, enjoying his time milling around the city and blending into the crowd. With his shades covering his eyes he had the best of two worlds. The people on the streets saw neither Robin nor Dick Grayson; he was just a regular kid. Watching the sunset was a perfect way to finish his day. He stood ready to go back to his friends.

"You know it's funny." Robin whipped around, alarmed that someone had been able to sneak up on him. "Considering how terrified my family has been of you over the years...you didn't start out as much did you." Dick frowned, was this guy high?

"I think you've got the wrong guy...I have no idea what you are talking about." The man stepped out into the light of the setting sun. He was tall, in his early 20's. His hair was dark and his face scarred.

"No, you wouldn't as you are only the beginning of my problem. But with you out of the picture, I don't think it will be a problem any longer." Dick took a step away from the edge of the roof and pushed his glasses higher up his nose.

"Ok, whatever you say. I'm going to go now." He tried to walk around the figure, hoping that if he was a drunk, slipping past him wouldn't be a problem. But the man seemed very alert and put himself in front of the boy wonder every time he tried to dodge. Eventually Robin got himself into a defensive position, but this only made the figure laugh.

"It won't do you any good to fight me. I know every single one of the moves you know now and the ones you will someday learn...if you were to survive that long that is." He laughed at his own joke "There is no way you can beat me. Not like this, not while you are so young and innocent."

The figure watched as the boys face fell as he thought of all the horrible things he had done while in Slades custody.

"I maybe young" Robin whispered "But I am by no means innocent!" he lurched at the stranger only to receive a kick in the gut and to be sent flying towards the edge of the building. Sitting back up he spat the blood out of his mouth and tried to scramble back as the stranger drew closer. His back his wall surrounding the roof and the stranger's hands were on him, a rag over his mouth. Everything started to grow dark as he struggled against him.

"Fear not Richard. This will be over soon."

A/N Hope you enjoyed this. Part 2 should be up really soon! Here's a question to keep your minds buzzing. If you could go back in time and see ANYONE! dead or alive or yourself? Who would you go and see? Personally I think I would go back in time to when I was 13 just to tell myself. "Hey don't fret about how people treat you now. Love yourself! In a few years time you wont even remember these girls names! Until next time Karin xx
