Note: Man, I don't know why, but I seem to only have ideas when I'm at work rather than at home. None the less! Another chapter is down with the story reaching its climax and shit hitting fan. Without a further due, Enjoy!

Scourge's POV

I slowly wake up hearing someone struggling as I feel myself being dragged. I don't remember anything expect dragging that demon girl to safety before...

"Ouch..." I said feeling a terrible pain behind my head

"You're... finally awake." A woman's voice spoke

I sat up and stood up slowly looking around to see where we were. It was an opened field with some ruins just up ahead with a huge green gem shining brightly. Looking to the one dragging me only to find it was that demon girl, but something was off. Her body seemed to be cracking or rather breaking apart.

"You have... to help... me..." she said before collapsing to the ground

She must have been beyond tried and she was dragging me still. Why go through all that for someone you don't even know?

"Must... get... there... " she tried to say "Hurry..."

I hated being in anyone's debt, but even more so in a girl's debt. It's not my style to leave her like that as well despite being an asshole that I am.

"Where do you need to go?" I asked

She pointed to the green gem before blacking out. I picked her up and started walking to it. Half way there something rose up in front which looked like Sonic, but something was wrong entirely.

"It would be wise of you to leave the girl there and walk away." He said in a weird tone

"I'm afraid I can't do that and that isn't how I do business." I replied "Who are you by the way?"

"Invidia." He said before rushing to me

I quickly dodged and began running to the green gem. I noticed he was as fast as sonic, but that wouldn't help him there. I picked up more speed and dashed straight to him. He threw some punches, but I slid to him still holding her close to me. I forced myself up with my elbow and hit him with a strong kick to the head which sent him flying back. Run towards the gem closing in on the stairs I heard him coming up to me quickly with a strange sound. I immediately did a hard left turn then jumped out of the way when the force of an explosion blew me further away than I expected.

"That emerald can't not save you, so why do something so useless?" Invidia asked as his eyes looking from me to the emerald behind him

I was ready to make another move when he slowly looked back with a stare at caused my body to be frozen in fear.

"I see now, you have no use for it, but she does on the other hand." He said very darkly walk to us "I'm afraid this is as far as you go. I can't afford to lose her to the emerald as I have unfinished business to attend to."

He started running to me, but my body just wouldn't move. I tried and tried until I noticed the thing on my arm changed colors.

'Trust me and grab him with all of your might.' A strange voice spoke to me

Invidia was now a foot away when my body moved on its own tossing Tikal far aside quickly as Invidia thrusted his hand to kill me on the spot. He was caught completely off guard at what happened, but tried to change his target to Tikal. Like hell I would let him try to do that as I punched him as hard as I could which sent him flying back a bit. I then tackled him into the ground then wrapped my arm around him, but I felt something stab me in both of my sides. I began coughing up blood, but began to tighten the bear hug as much as I could still feeling something digging in my sides. His hands had torn right into my sides and was hurting like hell. He tried to break free, but was unable to. I could feel him trying to pull his hands out or to break free from the grasp yet couldn't. I soon saw some kind of water looking thing looking at me from behind this bastard coming off of my wrist. So some reason when I looked right in its eyes I could understand it even though it didn't say a thing. I gave off a grin in pain as I nodded my head. Invidia was growling to no end as he struggle to break free even cracking a few ribs of mine.

"Seattle down you BASTARD!" I roared tightening the bear hug as more blood came out of my mouth

"ARGH!" he groaned in pain and anger "I never thought chaos could be used like this, but it won't matter as long as I can kill you to break free."

Without warning I could feel razor sharp teeth sinking deep into my neck. Fuck that hurts!

"FUCK!" I shouted in pain "Do whatever you plan on doing!"

The water creature thing quickly puts on my shades on me and places a smoke in my mouth that was already lit. Not knowing what to say though I was happy, but I'm sure it was due the amount of blood I had a lost that I could only give it a nod. Everything seemed a blur, but I could feel like being engulfed by water. I could see Invidia swirling about as if he was trying to resist. I didn't care about anything expect this feeling of being under water which was so peaceful. I grinned knowing I was just about the end of my rope. As I remember something that Laveron had once told me…

*Flash Back*

"Hey Laveron if you how would you want your funeral to be like?" I asked him as I saw him drink some more beer

We were sitting out on top of a destroyed building watching the sun set with the smell of gunpowder in the air, bullet shells covering the ground, and a few cases of beer right next to us.

"Hm, easy." He replied setting down the bottle "Fuck the actual funeral. I wasn't placed on the earth to be placed in a pretty coffin and be gently placed into the ground. I'll be fucking hauling ass into that damn hole and then skid to a stop with only one thing on my mind. Damn, that was one hell of a ride."

I looked at him for a second before we both started laughing our asses off. After a while we opened another bottle of beer when he began to speak.

"What about you?" he asked downing the whole bottle in seconds

"Honestly, should I ever die, it doesn't matter if I'm buried in the ground or laying on top of it. As long as I can die peacefully. Maybe even helping someone in need while at it. Who knows?" I replied looking as the sun

"I didn't take you to the kind of a soft guy." Laveron said in surprised but shrugged his shoulders "I guess it wouldn't matter anyways. We all dead at some point. Even if some take longer than others. We'll all meet in hell or heaven, but we both know where we're going."

"Yup and I still won't have it any other way." I replied hold up my last beer

"Well, May we get the death we deserve and no matter the outcome. There will be no regrets." Laveron said holding his beer against mine and be both drank

*End Of Flash Back*

I got what I asked for and I can't leave any regrets, but I be waiting for ya Laveron on the other side and you can be your ass I'll be looking forward to seeing you haul ass into your grave. I felt my body shake then stopped altogether. Take care… Laveron…

Amy's POV

Something seems off about Noe and I'm sure Shadow could feel it to, but he is our son. I let the doubts in my head fade away as I closed my eyes searching for Tikal's essence. I couldn't see anything for miles until I picked up a strange trail of small fainting essences going in a straight line, but as I got closer the further out the line stretched with the ones I came close to vanished. There was no way this was just there for fun. Following the trail flying as fast as I could until I saw Angel Island off in the distance when it finally hit me.

"Of course!" I said to myself "Since Tikal had a body she probably didn't have to long before going back into the master emerald, but then why do I still need to find her?"

Closer I got the more I could see more than just her essence near the master emerald.

"Chaos control!" I shouted and disappeared

Reappearing at the base the stairs from the master emerald there was an explosion. After the explosion I saw Tikal on the ground near a huge creator. Rushing to her I checked her pulse and sighed in relief know she still had a pulse, but it was very faint. Out of nowhere she grabbed me and pulled herself up to my ear.

"Take... me... to... master... emerald..." she spoke like it was her last dying wish

Immediately I took her to master emerald laying her down just before it. She glowed and in seconds she completely dissolved with the particles going into the emerald. It was a beautiful sight to see until I felt an uneasy presence behind me. Turning around and seeing Invidia or what was left of him from an explosion with a sharp pain in my chest.

"So nice of you to come, queen." He said evilly

I couldn't say anything and when I opened my mouth blood came out of it. I was in a state of shock then slowly looking down his hand had gone right through my chest. He quickly pulled it out as blood ran out and I fell to the floor with tears in my eyes while he gave an evil grin holding something that was pulsing in his hand covered in blood.

"Shadow..." I whispered before closing my eyes only seeing one last vision of Shadow and Noe looking at me with smiles on their faces before it turned into nothing.

Shadow's POV

Rushing over to where Kibo was fighting Sonic I wanted nothing more than to beat him to death for causing all of this trouble. As I got there I could see Kibo was swinging his sword around sending out shockwaves as well as blocking some of Sonic's wind attacks. I could tell he was tired from fighting Sonic who doesn't show even the slightest bit tired. He seemed to have noticed me, but Kibo did a good job grabbing his attention again barely missing Sonic's neck with his sword.

"Chaos Control!" I shouted freezing time and rushing over to them

I kicked Sonic in the back causing time to unfreeze sending him into Kibo's blade. Sonic barely managed to dodge a death blow, but was unfortunate still as the blade cut him deep into his right shoulder just at the collar bone. He shouted out in pain no longer being able to run. Kibo kicked him dead in the chest to get him off of his sword. Sonic was now bleeding heavily with no way to stop the bleeding. He looked over to me with his arm stretched out before blacking out which I guessed was from the shock. I was going to leave him to die when I noticed he wasn't healing and his dark blue color vanished altogether. I cursed under my breath as I used a chaos spear to burn the opening of the wound closed. If Sonic had lost any more blood he would've have been dead. I sighed heavily hoping I didn't make a mistake keeping him alive. Out of the blue I felt a sharp pain in my chest. Looking around and down at my chest there was nothing wrong, but I somehow felt devastated.

'Shadow...' I heard Amy's voice in my head

'Amy are you ok?' I asked only to be followed by silence

I began to grind my teeth as I called out to her one last time.

'Amy?'

There was no reply and I could no longer connect my mind with her. I was shaking because I didn't know what to do or what had happened to her. I could only hope for the best.

"Watch him." I demanded looking at Kibo then shouted "CHOAS CONTROL!"

I appeared in the space ark looking at the computer for Amy's last know location which was at the master emerald. For some reason the computer was unable to get an image of the area. I quickly chaos controlled over there I appeared at the base the stairs of the master emerald. Looking around I saw a creator the slowly scanned the place. Everything else seemed normal till I turned to the stairs to see a trail of blood trickling down from the master emerald. I rushed up to the top and froze once there. My hands began to shake as I opened my mouth struggling to speak.

"A... Amy..?" I managed to say looking down to her laying still under the master emerald

There was no response, so I began to force myself to the body and rolled her over to see if was really her. I grinded my teeth as I saw her face and the hole that was in her chest. My whole world seemed to have just been broken as tears began to form in my eyes along with rage and hatred that consumed my emotions. As the first tear came down my face I looked up to the sky and yelled for my lost. A lost that could not be replaced or forgotten.
