Chapter 14

~~~four months later~~~

This is one of the biggest weekends of all time. It is the weekend of my birthday, the start of spring break, and the weekend of the ball coming up. Our group has split up some. Linda and Aaron are going together and so is Gage and Kellie. Basically, it is me James Jess and Jake again. Which I am perfectly fine with.

The Ball is Friday night on the 15th at 5 o'clock. Which is tonight. We met the boys for a late breakfast sense I couldn't get up. We hung out till about two then me and Jess ran to the common room to get ready. We both took showers. Jess blow dried her hair and used a spell to give her hair loose curls. I straightened my hair and pinned my bangs back with my burette. We did our make up. Jess did a light brown shadow and a light pink gloss on her lips. I did a sliver shadow and same gloss. We both looked great. When we were done with all that it was 4:30. The guys are meeting us in the dormitory at 4:45. We slipped on our dresses and put on perfume. We did any necessary touch ups and then headed down the stairs at exactly 4:45.

Like the boys said they were there waiting in their dress robes. Jake looked nice in his. He had to get them sent off and altered sense he grew so much this year. James looked…..Drop dead handsome. He tried to tame his wild hair but it didn't work. You could tell he ruffled it a bit and I loved that messed up look he has. He has a normal white collared shirt on that fits his fit form perfectly. I can't wait till he gets hot and takes off his robes.

When they saw us. Their faces both went slightly red. Jake was the first to speak. "You both look fantastic!"

James cleared his throat and said. "Yeah you really do."

"Well thank you guys. You two look great also." Said Jess.

James linked arms with me and I linked arms with jess and Jake was on the other side of Jess. Then we headed off to the Great Hall where the Ball was being held.

The Great hall looked amazing. Candles were floating everywhere there was a live band and a wall with food along it.

Over the course of the night we all danced with each other. James did get hot and took off his robes and I could barely keep my eyes of him. we took about a two-hour break and talked with our friend and ate some of the amazing food. Then we started to dance some more. When it started getting late our crowd kept getting bigger and bigger and it was all around the four of us. Then at midnight you hear a big chorus of "Happy Birthday." All my friends started singing to me and by the end everyone joined in and cheered at the end. My face was so red but I love it!

Once all that excitement died down we danced a little bit longer then a slow song came on. James asked for this dance and of course I said yes. We started swaying side to side and talking.

"So have you had fun tonight?" James asked me.

"I have had a lot of fun. And what a great way to start off my birthday!"

"We plan on giving you your presents later today I guess. But I really wanted to give you mine tonight."

He handed me a little box on it with a bow. I opened it and inside was a pair of earrings that were dark purple gems.

"Oh wow. These are beautiful! And they go perfectly with this dress!" I took off the pair I was wearing and put on his. "How do they look?" I ask.

"They look fantastic." He said. He gave me his cute little smirk and I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you! I love them!" I said.

He hugged me and said "Id do anything for my best friend."

The rest of the night we didn't leave each other side. At about 1:30 we headed to common room. We were so exhausted.

We said goodnight to the boys and went straight up to bed. I slipped off my dress and hung it up put on a big tee-shirt and fell asleep straight away.

**James POV**

I had one of the best night of my live tonight. Mostly because I got to spend so much time with Noelle. She is so amazing! She is such a cute dancer I couldn't keep my eyes off of her.

Then we surprised her on her birthday by everyone singing to her. Her shocked face was so adorable.

Then the kiss on the cheek when I gave her her present was electrifying.

I laid in bed just daydreaming about her. I love Noelle Ann Thomas.
