Chapter 37 Betrayal

Ben's POV

That Night

I was sleeping when the sound of something moving woke me up.

I peaked out my tent...and saw Archer leaving with his group?

"Where are you going?"

With that I put on shoes and hoodie and started following them.

Ten Minutes Later

I ended up following the group to a dam.

"Now listen", Archer started. "You are not to blow the dam until I give the signal. If the reservoir isn't full the villains might survive."

I had to stop myself from gasping.

Archer was going to blow up the dam? He was willingly going to kill people?

"But Archer", Toby started. "The villains are keeping prisoners in there! Won't they get killed too?"

"That's the price that must be payed to get rid of those villains", Archer stated. "Now, don't blow up the dam until I give the signal. Got it?"

With that Toby sighed sadly.

"Got it."

I glared at Archer angrily.

He had let his anger at the villains consume him.

Now...he was no better than they were.

I transformed into my battle gear and walked out of the bushes.

"Archer!"

With that said person looked at me in shock.

"Ben", he started. "What are you doing here?"

"I saw you guys sneaking out and decided to follow", I revealed. "And I heard everything! I won't let you destroy that village!"

"That village is filled with villains", Archer pointed out.

"Those villains are still people", I stated. "You've become just as bad they are."

This made Archer angry. Very angry.

He pulled an arrow on me.

"Take that back", he commanded.

"No Archer", I said. "This has to stop!"

With that...Archer fired an arrow at me.

I blocked it my sword.

Archer kept firing arrows at me...but I kept blocking as I walked up to him.

When I got to him...I grabbed him by his shirt.

Then...I transformed into my beast form!

Archer looked at me in shock and fear.

"My goodness", I heard Noah say.

"What on Earth", I heard Toby ask.

With that I dropped Archer.

"Leave", I commanded. "And don't ever come back!"

With that Archer and his group ran off.

I transformed back into my human form just as my friends ran up to me.

"Ben", Mal said before running up and hugging me. "What are you doing here? And why are you shirtless?"

"I had to beast up", I revealed. "Archer was going to destroy a village of villains so I transformed to scare him off."

"What", Mal said in shock. "I can't believe it!"

"And here I was thinking he was such a cool guy", Jay said.

"Not cooler than me", Chad said.

With that we all started laughing.

But then I stopped and looked to where Archer had run off to.

Hopefully we'll never see him again.

HotXbun: And that was the last of Archer...for now.

Sorry there were no 'Saving Kingdoms Extras' in this chapter. I didn't want to distract from the drama!
