Hey all. It's been a long time huh? Two months. I apologize profusely for my vanishing. I haven't been well lately. Had some small breakdowns over the last few months to the point they had to change my pills. I'm doing better but that shouldn't excuse my absence. And with that note out of the way, let's start.

The Void.
The one thing that is eternal in the ever-changing world. For long as light and darkness remain, so to does the Void. It exists in all worlds, waiting forthe day that it will swallow them all, for those that came from it shall all return one day.
But like all primordial things, there are those who desire to call upon it ahead of time. To eliminate all that is and all that should be. They are the heralds of this supreme power, ones that shall wait until the day is nigh.

A dark presence filled the forest air, as Rider lightly shook in fear. As a Servant and one of her history, the feeling should not have affected her. And yet... The hollow feeling that surrounded her was nothing she had ever felt before. Her pseudo Master had yet to realize it but hey were being watched. With out saying a word, she called upon her daggers as she took a defensive position behind her false Master.
"I come out here to kill the time and what do I find but a woman and child." A purple runic circle formed before the pair as the feeling increased. Shinji fell to the dirt below as he began to choke. It was as if his lungs were slowly being crushed within chains. Stepping over the boy, Rider prepared herself as a figure emerged from the circle.
A figure clad in light blue armor with red, purple and gold engravings stood waiting as they observed the prey before them. Their head was covered in the helm of the armor as no light emerged from the small opening. A robe like loincloth of exotic fabrics carrying various colors of blues, oranges, golds and blacks covered the lower half of the suit as beads of dark colors held it together. Attached to the large spiked paludrons was a cape of blue that faded to an even lighter tone. In the pale white hands of their foe was a gnarled branch-like sword of bronze that reflected the twisted personality of the opposing Servant.
"The war hasn't officially begun and yet you attack now?" Rider asked keeping a safe distance from her foe. The odd scent of metal and wood flowed into her nose confusing the gorgon. She understood the scent of steel but the other had her at a loss. Perhaps their location was causing problems for her senses.
"Waiting for the war is no problem." The Servant responded, its voice deep and carrying the same sense of hollowness that its aura did. "This is merely a preparation to ensure my victory."
'An Assassin perhaps?' Rider reasoned in her mind. 'He has to know Shinji is weaker then the other Masters... However that arrogance in that thought will lead him to his loss.'
"Normally, I would have waited and allowed the rest of you maggots to eliminate yourselves... But the Void has yet to be inducted upon this world. So I will allow myself to participate normally instead." The Servant continued, sending small amounts of mana to his feet.
"Rider... Attack." Shinji choked out, his body turning pale as his breath slowly ran out. Allowing herself to obey, the woman launched her dagger towards the man who vanished in an instant. "W-what?"
"Fools." He whispered behind the pair. Rider leapt into the air grabbing her false master and landed in the twisting branches of the trees above. "Did you truly think I would allow you to harm me with that weak attack?" His sword twitched in his hand before it flew forward, rushing towards the woman as she deflected it with her own blade.
With a single movement of his hand, the armored man's sword flew towards its target again, taking off strands of Rider's hair as it missed by centimeters. Using the momentum of her dodge, the woman launched her own weapon towards her prey. As it neared her target, a transient pentagon of light blue formed absorbing the blow instead.
"Think again." He whispered as his sword flew at an even faster pace piercing through the woman's leg. A scream of surprised pain escaped her as her balance failed, falling to the ground below. Forcing herself up, the scent of steel increased as she realized the man was above her.
"I was wrong, you're a Caster aren't you?" She realized, damming herself for making such a mistake so early.
"Did you think I was a mere creature hiding in the darkness?" Caster asked amused by the question. "Then you are a true imbecile to believe you ever had a chance." The dark aura that had filled the area with dread slowly vanished as the man chuckled darkly. "And it is done."
"What is?" Rider questioned as the sound of footsteps echoed into her mind. 'Shinji.' "Master, use a Command Seal hurry!" She ordered at her false Master. "Order me to help you escape." She knew she was outmatched already by the foe before them. With out revealing a Noble Phantasm, there was no way that they could win. Especially not this early in the war.
"By the power of my Command Seal. Rider, I order you to no longer attack Servant Caster in any way, shape or form and to obey him as if he was me." Shinji's words filled the woman with dread as she turned her head to face the boy.
"Master!?" She called out in horror as the power of the book he held in his hands activated forcing her to obey the order. The book glowed brightly before the bright crimson color it once had dulled.
"Only the Void is the true master..." Shinji whispered as Rider felt Caster's aura surrounding the boy. It was if he was drenched in shadows, swallowing his mind as mindlessly waited for his next orders.
"You brainwashed him..." She whispered, horrified that the man before her held that much power. How powerful was he to be able to fight against her and still prepare a spell like that?
"And now the preparations are complete. Stand Servant and return my blade to me. We have much to accomplish if we are to return the Void to this world."

"So you are the Caster I heard of." Gilgamesh said as he looked down upon the blue armored foe. "How... Dull you are."
"And compared to the Void, you are nothing special." Caster spoke, uninterested in the king in front of him. "Nothing more then a worm."
"A worm? You compare me to a worm? You mongrel. No... You are even less then that." The golden man's eyebrow twitched as a golden gate opened behind him. "Prepare for your end."
"I think not." Caster glowed as the gate released heavily jeweled blades towards him. As they neared, a translucent sphere covered him. As the swords struck the barrier, they fell to the ground harmlessly, fading to gold as they returned to their realm. Seeing an opportunity, a tornado surrounded the magic user as he slowly approached the king. "You are powerless." He called out as Gilgamesh was slowly dragged towards him.
"Fool!" The Archer called as a vajra ripped from the portal and struck the spell. Electricity circled the spell as it broke through it sending high amounts of voltage through the mage's body. "How pathetic, you truly are less then a mongrel. You are nothing but a worm compared to Gilgamesh."
"So... You have the name of a worthless fool." Gilgamesh's glare increased as Caster fell to a knee. "How amusing." As the king opened his mouth to argue, a black sphere swallowed him whole. Screams of pain whispered through the orb before it spat him out only to crash into another. "Naive weakling." It called as the Servant slammed into the dirt below. "Truly pathetic." The dark magic vanished as Caster's feet touched the ground. "You truly are equal to the one who shares your name."
"You dare strike the king!?" Gilgamesh screamed as the gate reopened, objects of true majesty formed as they took aim at their king's foe. "Prepare for your end!" As one, they flew through the air at neck breaking speeds, unable to be tracked by mortal eyes. The sound of glass breaking filled the battlefield as shards of golden energy fell to the ground below. "I can't believe I wasted my time with such an insect."
"Supreme Power!" The sudden dark aura pierced through the king's own as he took a step back. Standing before him was Caster, dark smoke swirling off his armor as small cracks emerged. Yet his armor had changed completely. The gold had turned dark and mixed with red engravings as if they had become truly corrupted. The cape hanging off his paludrons had changed to a dark purple as the ends had become tattered by the king's attacks. The loincloth had changed the most however. Instead of containing exotic colors, it changed to that of brown roots with a hideous face inscribed in the centre.
"To force me into this form... Perhaps you aren't as much of a maggot as I presumed." Caster spoke as he lifted his new dark blue gauntlet up. "But enough, behold the power of the Void!" With a wave of his hand, a burst of energy flowed towards the king striking the surprised ruler in the chest.
"It is time to end this!" Caster called as he commanded his blade to strike the Archer. Brining his hands together, dark energy formed between them creating a dark void of energy. "Neo Almagest." He whispered.
"Mongrel!" Gilgamesh shouted, his armor cracked by his foes spells. As his gate reopened, the Caster's sword sliced through his cheek causing the gate to immediately close in response. "You dare touch the king's face!? Enough is enough!" As another portal emerged due to his anger, a blade pierced through his hand. A screech of pain emerged as he turned his head behind him.
A sorrowful Rider stood there, a chain within her hands as she tugged Archer towards her false Master and herself. "I apologize." She whispered in response to the king's infuriated look.
"Excellent servant and now... To the silent beyond!" With a simple slice across the king's chest, the sphere vanished from Caster's hands and reformed around Gilgamesh. As it began to expand, little by little Rider was drawn in, her hands unable to let go of the chain.
"Goodbye Rider, you were a decent pawn... Now embrace the stillness of eternity..." With a silent scream, the two Servants and the brainwashed Shinji were sent into the orb as it began to shrink once again. As it flowed back into Caster's hands, he slammed his palms together allowing his fingers to interlock. With the sudden movement, the sphere ceased to be leaving Caster all alone.
"And now two Servants have fallen." He spoke as his armor changed back to normal. With a sudden lurch forward, he collapsed onto one knee. "To use that much magic already... I truly have weakened." Forcing himself up, he chuckled humorlessly as a purple circle formed beneath him. "I shall take my time with the remainder. The Void will be called upon to this realm even with my defeat but causing it to occur earlier would be the best plan."
And with that, Caster vanished, leaving nothing but craters from where the battle took place. Within time, the Void would be summoned to the world with or without the warlock's help.
But for those already lost, a name was imprinted within their minds, the name of the one who tossed them into the depths of the Rift.
Their last thought until their erasure.
Exdeath.
-END-
Caster Exdeath. I was planning this before I vanished off the grid. I felt the best way to come back was to get the darkness out of the way. So why him? Of all the villains, Final Fantasy has made, Exdeath is without a doubt my favourite. I can't really say why to be honest.
So what notes can I mention here? Well most of it is straight forward. Exdeath facing Rider was mostly so I could get to a Master... Shinji was chosen because... Easiest target and no one would care if I killed him... Unless it's the Extra version. Maybe. And Rider is a monster like the big bad here, so it made sense to me.
As for Gil... When their is a chance to make a reference, I'll jump on it. Besides, Exdeath seems to have bad luck with Gil's...
Just need to do Bartz and we have the Final Fantasy 5 Dissidia team done... If I ever decide to do him of course. Now, as always requests are allowed so send them in. Questions are allowed as always if you have any. And finally, thanks for reading and please review.
