Katniss pov
I stand in the bathroom in complete shock.
I've had my suspicions,but I didn't think they would actually be true! I am pregnant for the third time. It started about a week ago, being this is the third time it was easier to recognize the signs right away. Plus I'm already starting to show a bit.
I stare down at the stick with the little pink plus sign. I should be about 3and a half months pregnant if I tracked it right. It's so weird, at first with willow I was afraid but more concerned with what was happening,with rye I was afraid because I had a choice and was bringing him into the worst part of the war,but now I'm actually excited.
I'm actually really excited for this baby,I'm not scared because I know I can do this as long as I have peeta. The world is as safe as it can get for now,and We can live almost normally. I run back into our room as fast as I can.
"Peeta! Peeta wake up!"I say shaking him.
"What? What's wrong katniss?"He asks. I grin.
"Peeta,peeta,peeta"I say slowly"I'm pregnant"
I expect him to be ecstatic but he's not. His mouth hangs open and his eyes show fear. He wraps his arms around me and says"I'm so sorry katniss, I should've used a condom." I pull away confused.
"I thought you wanted a big family peeta,what's wrong? I thought you would be happy?" I say.
"I do want a big family,but after what happened when you gave birth to rye..and I don't want to lose you katniss, I love you so much."
"Listen peeta,I know that was scary,but I would go through anything for my kids...and its worth it right? I mean a little happy baby running around with rye and willow?"
"But katniss! You almost died! What if you die this time? All three kids wouldn't have a mom,I would go insane without you by my side!" He yells. I huff,why can't he just see that this is a good thing? I won't die,I'm stronger than that.
"But it's not like we can do anything now! I'm already pregnant and none of us would ever even think about an abortion. And peeta,I'm happy about this"I say placing a hand on my stomach.
"I know katniss,but I just need you to keep safe,please. For your children,and...for me"he says. I walk forward and fold him into my arms,holding him to my chest. I run my fingers through his hair as he lays his head on my chest. I kiss his forehead and say"I love you peeta,and I won't leave you. I promise"
A/N I know this was a short chapter but it needs to because if it were anymore it would most likely ruin this chapter don't fear I will update soon
