Uhura discovered that this was indeed a club - and not a meeting - after a particularly active night.

"Kirk to Uhura!"

Dressed in her flannel pajamas with a huge tub of cold, creamy comfort food in her lap, Uhura had to untangle herself from the couch to locate her comm.

After Uhura's latest blowup with Spock over Kirk's "Boys Only" male bonding meeting, she'd gotten Grayson into bed, cued up a tear-jerking rom-com chick flick, retrieved a gallon tub of chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream - the real stuff procured at an exorbitant price during their last stopover at Starbase 204 - and curled up on the seating in their living area with a spoon, her anger and her tears.

With Kirk screaming his hail over and over again, her half-hearted search finally co-located Uhura and her comm device.

Dammit, she fumed, you've got my husband, Kirk - what else do you want!? I'm off duty!

"Uhura! What is it Captain?"

"Spock's in trouble! Get down here on the double! Kirk out!"

Spock and Nyota didn't fight often although they argued almost every day; such was the nature of their relationship.

As was Uhura's habit when Spock pissed her off, she'd shielded their bond link when Spock made it obvious that, in his esteemed reasoning, Uhura was reacting emotionally to a perfectly reasonable and beneficial gathering. She hoped he still had a headache from her violent closing off of their marital bond.

What has Kirk done this time? she sighed, opening a small window in their bond to check on Spock.

Her irritated groan in their quarters could probably be heard on the bridge - without amplification.

Through the small aperture she opened in their bond link, Spock raged in whatever room they were all in, for reasons not easily discerned. Before Spock sensed her, Uhura determined that his Vulcan protectiveness operated at full power. When Spock noted her mental presence, Uhura slammed their bond link shut, easily deflecting Spock's attempts to reach her.

Throwing clothes on, Uhura flew out of her quarters.

Sprinting to the transporter room, Uhura comm'd Carol Marcus to handle her babysitting emergency and Pavel to meet her in the transporter room, instructing Pavel to clear all other transporter personnel from the room on her orders as the highest ranking officer on board.

Rounding the corner to the transporter room, Uhura nearly ran Chekov down crossing the threshold on his heels at full speed.

"Pavel, stand by for my comm. I have no idea what's going on down there but Jim just put an emergency call through for me to come get Spock. Keep everyone out of transporter room 1 until I get back."

"Aye-Aye Lieutenant."

Uhura hit the transporter pad as Pavel slid into the ops chair.

"Energize on these coordinates!" she shouted, transferring Kirk's comm locator signal to the ship's computer.
