Chapter 36
Hurt, confusion and shock washed over Emma's features, hardening them. She turned to look at everyone in the room bustling about and asked them respectfully to please leave the room. After the last one had scurried out and the door had closed behind her, Emma went to his bed. Sitting on the edge very carefully, she took his hand and looked into his ocean blue eyes.
"Oh Killian, it's me, Emma, your wife. Please tell me you haven't forgotten me after all we've been through. Please tell me fate is playing a cruel joke on me." She reached up and gently touched the bandages that covered the wound on his head. He seemed to search her face, looking for something that would identify her to him.
"Sorry love, Captain Hook would never be tied down and get married, even to a creature as gorgeous as yourself."
Emma felt her heart deflate over his words. She dropped his hand and covered her eyes with her hands as she melted down for what had to have been the fifth time in as many days. She supposed that she deserved this. The purest of tortures, Killian now not knowing who she was. It was only fair that fate step in and make her fight now to get him back by her side. Taking a deep breath, she steeled herself, forcing the tears to cease and sat up straight. "Then I'll just make you remember, no matter how long it takes."
Leaning in and not giving him any time to react, Emma planted her mouth on his firmly and gave him one of the most thorough kisses she could muster. Her fingers itched to run through his raven locks and she allowed herself to feel everything she could touch. When she pulled away at last, she found him grinning at her with an "I ate the canary" kind of smirk. "Well hello to you too lass."
"You remember?" Emma asked hesitantly. She had been told True Love's kiss didn't work on someone who had lost their memories. It would figure that things would be different between her and her Pirate.
"Of course I do, Emma my love. I was merely teasing with you earlier." An eyebrow arched high as the pirate smirked at his wife.
Emma's mouth fell open as the realization of what he had done registered in her brain. She quickly snapped her lips together and went to slap her husband. The nerve of that damn bastard, scaring her like that! But he was faster. He caught the left palm that was quickly approaching his face and pinned it to the bed, forcing her body down under his to lay flat.
Fury radiated off her body in waves. "I swear to God Killian Jones, you ever play a prank on me like that again..." Her sentence promptly cut off by his mouth and his well known talented tongue. Emma's anger was palpable and Killian knew he had to distract her. It was stupid of him to tease her in such a way, and he would make it up to her.
His body slid over hers like water rushing over stones. Forgetting her anger for mere moments, she wrapped each of her limbs around him, holding his body close. She wanted to crawl inside of his skin, her need to be close to him physically aching. But then his cruel joke invaded her haze of lust and she shoved him off her.
She stood, looking at him from the side of their bed. He sat up, his eyes taking her all in. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? I feel like I'm in a desert and I just came upon the tallest glass of ice water." Emma eyed him warily as his tongue snuck out, touching his lips suggestively.
"Don't try and sweet talk me Pirate. That stunt you just pulled has to be one of the most boneheaded things you've ever done." She stuck her hands on her hips and eyed him down. Finally a laugh burst from his mouth, and she felt a smile try to slip onto her lips.
"It's good to have you back love. You have no idea how much I've missed you. And how often and in how many different ways I plan on killing Regina when I get my hands on her." Killian sat up and leaned against their headboard with a sigh.
The two looked at each other in silence for a moment before Emma came and sat beside him. She reached up and cupped his cheek. "I'm sorry, so very sorry." She whispered, touching his head. Killian's eyes drifted closed as he enjoyed the warmth of Emma's hand on his face.
"Haven't we already had this conversation?" The pirate asked as he opened his eyes to look at her. "Or was I having an extremely vivid dream while I was in an Emma induced slumber?"
Blushing, Emma remembered the dream she had. Where she apologized profusely to Killian and they had made love on the sparring field. Another shared dream of theirs. It wasn't the first time it had happened. "I seem to remember telling you how sorry I was. And then trying to show you how sorry I was." She whispered to him. A fat tear rolled down her cheek. "I said some very cruel things to you. And then I physically hurt you. My worst fear Killian has always been hurting you. You've endured enough pain in your life and I never wish to be a source of it." She admitted out loud, hanging her head and looking down at the blanket that covered him. Her fingers smoothing out invisible wrinkles, keeping her green eyes from his.
"Let me lift the weight off your lovely and delicate shoulders. You have brought more happiness and love into my life than I was prepared to handle. Sure, we've had mild bumps along the way but nothing will overshadow everything you've given to me." He slid a finger under her chin, lifting her face. Their eyes met. "I love you. I will never stop loving you. I will love you through curses and potions and magic spells. You are my soul mate Emma, my one true love. Nothing can break that, nothing will break us."
Killian leaned in towards Emma and rested his forehead against hers, simply breathing her in. When her eyes finally met his, Killian reached up and tilted her head, kissing her. Slowly at first their lips danced, before he pulled back slightly to look at her once more, reassuring himself that she was home and real. Then he thread his hand into her hair and pulled her mouth back to his and kissed her again with renewed vigor. This kiss was hot and intense, letting Emma understand how much he missed her and needed to be close to her now that he FINALLY had her back. He pulled away a few seconds later with great difficulty. "It would appear that I haven't bathed in a few days. Would you be interested in joining me for a bath, my wife?"
Crinkled lines formed at the edge of her eyes as his request sank in. A flashback to being sick and Hook taking care of all her needs made an appearance in Emma's head and suddenly she felt the need to be very dirty and to help him get clean. "I think that's an excellent idea husband." She responded with a smile.
Emma requested that a servant fill the bathtub with hot water and rose petals if they were anywhere to be found. The servant gave a curt nod and a small smile, knowing what the two had in mind. Then, she pulled Killian off the bed and walked with him into the washroom. She remained by his side in case there were any side effects of his injury but he seemed to be ok for now. When they entered the room, Killian's face split into a wide grin. The steaming bath had a layer of rose petals on top. There were candles lit to illuminate the room and two glasses of wine were perched on a stool next to the tub.
"Are you trying to seduce me Mrs. Jones? Because if that is the case, I do indeed think it is working." Emma laughed and shushed him, walking to the side of the tub. She reached down to pull her shirt off but she found a hand stop her movements. Turning she found Killian, wrapping both arms around her. "Let me love, I think I've earned the right after these past few dreadful days."
Killian began to strip Emma slowly and methodically. Every inch of porcelain white skin that was exposed to the cool air was covered with his warm mouth before she could even feel the slight cold. Her eyes rolled back in her head as she let her head drop back. If what had happened with Regina had taught her anything, it was to live in the moment, the here and now, with her husband. A shirt hit the floor, followed by a corset, then a pair of pants and finally her undergarments. Killian nudged her backwards so that she was forced to sit on the edge of the tub. Embarrassment flashed across her features by way of a lovely colored blush when he pressed forward between her thighs, pushing them wide open. Looking down, her found her glistening for him and his body instantly responded.
"So beautiful, simply breath taking." He murmured, and suddenly dropped to his knees and kissed his way along her thigh making a path to her center. The moment she felt his hot breath ghost across her core, her fingers slid into his hair to give her something to be grounded by. He wasted no time in using his tongue and two fingers to get her where she needed to go. Killian's warm, wet tongue began to work miracles as it moved in and out of her. Whimpering, she brought her hand up and began to play with one of her breasts. He continued his ministrations while his eyes shifted upwards, watching her touch herself. Killian felt him self grow impossibly harder in his pants.
He wanted nothing more than to be buried as deep in her body as he could be but he'd be damned if she didn't come right now before they got in the bath. It didn't take long for Killian to get Emma off because it had been so long since they had actually been together. One final stroke of his two fingers curling upwards and a swipe of his rough tongue and she was done for, practically growling as she came hard. Killian make quick work of her juices and then stood to kiss her, letting her taste herself on his lips.
Emma groaned into his mouth, the taste turning her on even further. She quickly divested him of his clothing and the two got into the tub facing each other. Each took turns bathing the other, Emma carefully washing his hair, still extremely worried about his head. He took the washrag, carefully running it down her smooth legs, getting closer to the area that needed him the most. Unable to contain herself any longer, she ripped the rag from his hands and slid forward, her mouth meeting his. It was sloppy, it was unrefined but they were both too overcome by lust to care. Emma slid her hand under the water, wrapping around his thickness. She slowly her hand slid up and down, watching the emotions cross Killian's face from pleasure to burning desire. His eyes darkened as he succumbed to the feelings she was teasing out of him. Emma smiled sexily at him, batting her eyelashes. He looked at her and smiled one of those breath-taking smiles that were only meant for her. "I think the time for playing around has concluded."
Killian removed his hook and brace, letting his deformed arm be seen. Only with her was he comfortable to be like this. He moved towards her, wrapping his hand around her waist and setting his stump under her arm. Gently, he picked her up and she grasped him between them. Directing him inside of her warm and willing body, she slid easily down onto him till he filled her completely. "Gods, Emma...perfection." He breathed out, feeling her warmth surround him.
"So wet for me Emma and I do believe it has nothing to do with the bath we are in." Killian breathed out with a smile, quoting something he had said to her a very long time ago. Emma blushed furiously at the comment, feeling another wave of lust shoot straight to her core.
It only got better as Emma braced herself and began to move up and down on top of him. One of her hands gripped the edge of the tub. The other wrapped around his head to bring his mouth to hers so she could explore it. She moved her hips side to side, adjusting, letting him fill her and stretch her deliciously. The sensations of her movement on him, the warm water sloshing around them and Emma's persistent tongue had Killian very near completion and he wasn't ready to be that close. He slowed her down, guiding her movements into a more languid pace.
Pulling away, Emma watched him as she rode him. "Do you know how much I love you?" She asked softly, placing her right hand over his heart.
"I have an inkling but if you'd like to tell me, then I am all ears love." Killian's hand covered hers before it moved beneath the rose petals to find Emma's clit under the water. His thumb began to trace slow lazy circles and he heard Emma's breath hitch. It became infinitely harder to formulate words.
Emma wrapped her arms around him, and drew their bodies even closer. She brushed his nose against his lovingly. "You complete me. Do you know how empty I felt, when I didn't remember you? You are my other half. You are my heart. I've never loved anyone as much as I do you. You are the air I breathe. The reason I get up in the morning and I don't ever want you to think that you're not important to me. You are the best thing in my life Killian and I can't wait to live our lives together for the next fifty years."
Killian found it hard to concentrate on her words as her wet breasts slid up and down his chest creating this amazing friction. But he could see the emotion pouring from her in waves and he could do nothing but kiss her in response. "Aye, I never doubted your love, not for a second. Magic can be used for such wonderful things but it can also be used for the vilest of purposes. So when I knew Regina was involved, I knew no words or actions were your own Emma."
Her Pirate was so forgiving. Emma closed her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder as their hips continued their motion of coming together. His thumb continued its movements, bringing Emma closer to her precipice. Leaning back, Killian changed his angle slightly, hitting Emma right where she needed it. "Oh, Oh, Killian. Yes, right there." She could feel the blood rushing in her veins turn to liquid fire, burning her from the inside out. Sitting up straighter, she began to bounce on his lap faster, water now spilling over the sides of the tub.
"Yes, that's it. Let go for me darling." Killian said through gritted teeth. He felt Emma stiffen up as an unbridled moan of lust was ripped from her chest. Her eyes were squeezed shut. Her breath was coming out in pants. Her nerves were short-circuiting. She was unable to handle all that Killian was making her feel and the pleasure was so intense that she nearly lost consciousness.
He felt her inner muscles milking him so he pumped into her three more times. All of a sudden, his eyes slammed shut and bright colors burst behind his eyelids. He emptied in her, while catching her slumping form. "That was amazing my love." He said softly, turning to kiss her cheek.
Looking at her, he saw her eyes were closed. "Emma...Emma." He called out, getting no response. She wasn't moving and Killian pushed her wet hair away from her face. "Talk to me Emma." He shook her a bit and her eyes opened slowly.
"I think I just passed out." She murmured, her eyes adjusting to the light of the room again. She snuggled into his shoulder, unable to move at the current point in time.
Killian chuckled softly. "You had me worried there. However I am not the least bit surprised that I could supply you with so much pleasure that you pass out in my arms." It was just like him to act cocky so Emma reached up and pinched his shoulder, earning a hiss from him.
The couple was able to gather their wits and strength enough to get out of the tub and head straight to their bedroom where they made love once more, unable to truly get enough of each other.
Regina had waked up the next morning feeling invigorated. Her purpose in life renewed. She wasn't sure why last night she had felt the need to protect Emma and her Pirate from her Mother's schemes but today that instinct was gone. Sitting up in her large bed, she stretched, thinking about the day that lay before her. Cora and her would be plotting steps to soon make their move against the whole Charming family. She was due to reconvene with her Mother after breakfast.
Regina strolled from bed, looking out her window over the land. For some reason, she felt suffocated where she was and wished to go out for a bit before their revenge required all of her focus. She was in need of a few things from the market place and she wished not to be noticed. After slipping into tan riding pants and a cream colored shirt, she threw on a black velvet cloak with a blood red lining, concealing her identity and she was soon in the middle of the hustle of the market place.
Slipping easily through the crowd, gathering what she needed, Regina was on her way to the outskirts of the marketplace where she could easily slip behind a tree and be able to transport herself back to the castle without anyone noticing. She walked quickly and quietly, her strides long and powerful. She passed a young man, playing with his son. Pausing for a moment, she watched as the son giggled and dodged his Father's arms. It was clear they were playing, something Regina was unfamiliar with because her Mother had certainly never done such a thing with her. The sunlight shone down through the trees onto the little boy's hay colored silky hair. It was the perfect family picture, one that Regina had longed for once, a very long time ago. Snapping herself out of it, she continued onward, ignoring the feeling trying to worm it's way into her heart.
Before she knew it, she heard the man yell. Hearing several screams, the Queen turned for a moment to see the little one run right out in front of a carriage. Two huge horses were bearing down on the child who had tripped and fallen. The man driving the carriage could not see the small child in the middle of the dirt road. Sprawled out on his back and in complete terror, the child wasn't moving. Regina had a split second decision to make. Moving faster than the average person, she was able to scoop the boy up and get him out from under the trampling of the horses hooves as the carriage continued past. The realization that the carriage belonged to her was not lost on her.
Regina tucked the boy against her as they rolled out of the way. Once the carriage had passed, she felt strong hands helping her to her feet. Standing up fully, the man snatched the boy out of her arms. "Roland, oh Roland, are you ok?" The boy sniffled, fat tears rolling down his cheek as he threw his arms around his Father. The man then regarded Regina. He had the bluest eyes she had ever seen and they looked oddly familiar. "I don't know who you are, but thank you. You saved my boy, I am forever in your debt." Realizing he had been speaking to her, Regina lifted her gaze to meet his. She couldn't be recognized right now.
"It was nothing." She muttered, brushing the dirt off her cloak. Since when had she, the Evil Queen been reduced to saving children from danger.
The man then reached out and grabbed her arm. "Truly, miss. Please, if there is anything I can do for you…" Regina quickly snagged her arm out of his gasp. Looking down, she noticed the tattoo on his forearm. It was a lion. It looked like a coat of arms. Staggering backwards, Regina looked up at the man, and she knew in an instant who he was. The man Tink had told her about all those years ago was standing in front of her. Backing up quickly, Regina got ready to bolt only to be stopped by his voice.
"Thank you. I don't know what I would have done if anything had happened to him. He's all I have." His gentle masculine voice carried to her. "If you need anything I am Robin Hood." Turning slightly to look at him once more, Regina found her mouth dry. She took a moment to look at him, to really see him. Her eyes widened, taking it all in and before she could stop her self; she was fleeing the scene and the feelings rushing over her.
Emma awoke the next morning feeling more refreshed than she had in a very long time. She sat up and stretched her naked body out. Her body was sore and she knew it was from the activities of the night before and the very early morning. After finishing their bath, Killian had made love to her in their bed and they had both fell asleep. A few hours later, she felt calloused fingers tracing her spine and before she knew it, she was awake and he was taking her again. Their need for each other was currently insatiable. Emma smiled at the thought and couldn't wait to go to bed later tonight in hopes for more enjoyable activities to occur again. Turning her head, she eyed her naked husband who was fast asleep on his stomach, curled around his pillow. God was he handsome. He looked so innocent and carefree when asleep. She leaned over and gently brushed a strand of hair off his head and pressed a gentle kiss to his wound. Without making a sound, she slid out of bed and threw some clothes on. She needed to find her parents and have a conversation she was dreading but she wished to get it over with now.
The Charming's were in the dining room, enjoying a lovely breakfast spread. Both smiled when Emma entered the room. "Good morning honey. We heard Killian awoke last night and had a little fun with you at your expense." Charming offered, taking a bite of a muffin. Emma stopped in her tracks and glared at him. "Yes, he did."
Charming grinned. "How is our favorite Pirate in law?"
"He is doing much better. Thanks for asking."
"We didn't want to bother you last night. We assumed you would be, uh, reconnecting." Snow offered as she took a sip of her tea. She set her cup down and smiled at her daughter.
Emma grabbed breakfast and had sat across from her. "That we did. Obviously we've been apart longer than either of us would have liked so we needed some time. I needed to apologize for what I've done but of course Killian being the selfless person that he is, forgave me immediately. Kind of like you two." She said before dropping her eyes to look at the food on her plate.
"Emma, there's nothing to forgive." Charming offered gently, understanding that Emma was in a vulnerable state right now.
"Of course there is." His daughter burst out angrily, looking at him from across the table. "I was horrible to Killian. Then I hurt him. And I almost hurt Mom. I went after her. Those things are unforgivable."
"Honey, we know that it wasn't you saying those things or committing those actions. We aren't holding any of that against you." Snow said, finishing her breakfast and placing her napkin on the table.
Hot tears threatened to spill down Emma's cheeks. "I don't care how you feel about it. I am holding them against me. There is anger inside of me and whatever happened to me just caused me to act on it."
Snow looked from her to Charming. "Emma, what's the last thing you remember before all this happened?"
Emma wiped away her tears angrily. She took a deep breath and leaned her head back against the chair. Closing her eyes, the memories flashed in front of her mind's eye. "I remember the wedding, and how beautiful it was. Then the reception, then my wedding night." Pink colored her cheeks for a moment. "I remember falling asleep after but things get blurry after that."
Her parents nodded. "So nothing out of the ordinary?" Charming asked, wanting to get to the bottom of things.
"The wedding was fine. At the reception, I greeted everyone and thanked them. We cut the cake. We danced. Everything seems pretty normal now that I am thinking back. We had the champagne toast…" Emma stopped talking, a memory of Regina handing her a glass occurring. "Wait…" She said with baited breath. "Regina handed me a drink that tasted weird. After, I felt out of sorts."
Charming inhaled sharply, angered. "What happened?"
"I felt sort of dizzy after for a moment. Later in the night, I forgot where I was when I was with Killian. I was dizzy again and nauseous." It was then that Emma was able to draw her own conclusion. "She slipped something in my drink. I can't believe I trusted her." Emma cried out, magic sparking at the end of her fingertips. The glass she had on the table exploded and shattered on the table.
Snow gasped and she looked at Emma in a panic. Emma glanced back at her, seeing the fear. She wanted to flee from the table, back to the safety of Killian's arms but she forced herself to stay. "Something is still wrong. I need help with my magic." She whispered, looking down at her hands.
Charming threw his napkin on table and came to Emma's side. He sat next to her. "We will find someone to help you. And Emma, I give you my word that Regina is going to pay for what she did. But we also need you to know that this isn't your fault. Do you understand that now?"
Her watery green eyes met her Father's and she slowly nodded, throwing herself into his arms. An unexpected look of surprise lit up his face as he cradled his daughter's head close to his heart. "We love you Emma. No matter what. There are no conditions on our love. You could say horrible things to us or hurt us and we would always forgive you because you are our heart." Emma looked up at him then at Snow who was nodding with a soft smile. Her Mother was glowing and looked so beautiful. For a moment, Emma wondered if she was—
The door opened and Ruby strolled in. "Good morning crew! Emma, there you are! I hear Killian is better. And by hear, I mean I walked past your room last night and heard how much better he is. Jeez, you two aren't quiet are you?" She grabbed a plate and sat at the table. Stuffing her face, she looked at everyone with a mouth full of food and said, "what?"
Everyone just started laughing instead of being extremely uncomfortable which could have happened too. But leave it to Ruby to lighten the mood. Charming brushed the tears from Emma's cheeks and kissed her forehead. "Now it's time to decide if we retaliate against Regina."
"It's not worth it Dad. Unless she comes after us again, I fear that if we go after her, things could end in people hurt or killed and I don't want that." Emma said honestly. Charming eyed her quietly for a moment, knowing that she was unfortunately right. And a lot like her mother.
"Ok honey." He said and hugged her tightly to his body once more as Snow came over and wrapped her arms around them both.
Regina entered the grand dining room to see her Mother waiting. "I don't like to be kept waiting Regina, you know this." She said curtly, with a sharp tone. Choosing not to respond, Regina sat across from her and waited.
"My plan is intact. I have a man on the inside keeping me informed of all the moves that the Charming's make. And seeing as you can't make any grand gestures against them, it will have to be me."
"So what's the plan Mother?" She asked, her mind not really on the conversation at hand but more on Robin Hood.
"The way to tear apart the Charming family...is to remove Snow. She is the glue that holds it all together. So I do believe an ambush is on order where we take Snow."
Cora eyed Regina, expecting some sort of response in favor of her plan but Regina was lost in thought at the moment so she slammed the table with her palm.
"Regina, you aren't listening. Just like your Father. Wanting to come up with these grandiose plans. Only then not having the will to follow them through. So now I have to take charge. Leave things to me then." And with that Cora, stood and stormed off, leaving her daughter at the table to watch her retreating form.
