The wedding reception was held in the Forks town hall and had been meticulously decorated by Leah and Bella and several family members including Jacob. Purple adorned the hall and lilies in vases sat on each purple table cloth, with name plates at each seat. Above their heads time consuming purple taffeta stretched across the entire ceiling leading to the beautiful crystal chandelier that accented Bella's dress. There was no buffet against the Packs wishes, she knew they'd cause a spectacle and instead opted for seat delivery of a 3 course meal but sat the pack members at one table.
Charlie had hired a band from Seattle, they sounded great on You Tube so she hoped they were a good choice. She'd emailed them the first dance music and the father daughter dance music and they drove in that morning. Renee had just gotten a ride from the airport after her and Phils' delayed flights from Florida they missed the wedding and avoided calling Bella to upset her before the ceremony. They were seated by the head wedding party table awaiting the beautiful bride and her groom.
"Here we are." The carriage stopped in front of the door and Seth came outside, he got to announce the new couple's entrance and was anxiously waiting on their arrival with a microphone in his hand.
As Jacob helped Bella down Seth tapped him on the shoulder, "Dude. Hey..."
"What Seth?" He laughed, shaking his head.
"Do I say 'announcing Mr and Mrs Black or Mr and Mrs Jacob Black?" Jacob turned to look at Seth as Bella stood stunned, staring at him going over the important detail.
"Why didn't I think of that?" Her forehead crinkled in confusion and Jacob squeezed her hand gently.
"It's okay, just say Mr and Mrs." He spoke to Seth, Bella's frown lines disappearing.
"Wow..." a smile slowly appeared, "Bella Black." She looked at a humored Jacob and laughed, "Sorry, I just realized that."
He chuckled and they followed Seth inside the hall. "Ladies and Gentleman..." The hall got quiet and everyone stood, "May I announce the arrival of Mr. And Mrs. Black!" The hall erupted in cheers and a fun song played out as they walked inside hand in hand as Bella's eyes landed on a misty eyed mother.
"Jake..." She pointed to her Mom and Phil and he nodded, following behind her. "Mom! Phil!" She flung her arms around each of them and smiled. "I was worried when I didn't see you at the wedding. What happened?"
"Oh baby...I'm so mad, we missed our first flight. I didn't want to upset you before your wedding so I just let Charlie know. I'm so upset I missed it." Tears welled up in her eyes and Bella hugged her again.
"I know, I am too. But we had someone film it, we'll watch it together after our honeymoon?"
"I'll be home in Florida baby." She said sadly.
"Well...we'll send you a copy then. We have to go sit down, but I love you."
Rene nodded sadly, her baby had grown into a beautiful young woman and she'd missed out on so much already. She hadn't told anyone how depressed she had been since Bella and Jacob got serious and moved into their own house together. It seemed as though Bella had found just what Rene had hoped for in Charlie and in Phil, Phil was wonderful though absent 90% of the time and it left her lonely. But today was Bella's day and she sat down and dabbed her eyes with the corner of her napkin to watch the toasts.
Bella and Jacob sat in the middle with his wedding party to the left of him and Bella's to her right. Their parents were all seated at the same table to the side of their table and it was intimate and beautiful, just like the rest of the wedding had been. Jacob squeezed Bella's knee under the table, knowing she was uncomfortable having everyone stare at them and she simply placed her hand over his and laced her fingers with his.
"A toast: I'm Billy Black, the Grooms father. It seems like just yesterday I was driving home from the hospital after the birth of my son, Jacob." Jacob groaned and Billy shot him a look, "Boy, watch it I'll turn this into a naked story." Jacob laughed and threw his hands in the air in defeat causing the hall to erupt in laughter. "After 18 hours of labor he came into this world screaming and filled our hearts with so much love. That day marked the beginning of a road traveled together between Jacob and his mother, however that was cut drastically short when we lost her and I had to step in as the main parent. Sarah would be standing here blubbering like a baby today, she loved Bella and she loved her baby boy. One day she turned to me as Jacob and Bella were playing in the front yard and she said 'Billy, those two will get married one day.' I never thought much about it until they announced their engagement and well...here we are." He paused to take a breath, missing his dear Sarah. "Marriages, like births, mark the beginning of a journey together. Today we have marked the beginning of a wonderful new journey, in which Jacob has joined together with a most special and wonderful woman, Bella. They've known each other their whole lives, as friends but the day he announced that she was his, I could tell from his voice the excitement and just how special Bella was to him. And today, you all bore witness as Jacob and Bella exchanged vows, to just how special they are to each other. Surely their love and commitment will build a long and joyous union. Please join me in a toast to this, the day they begin their new journey together. Bella, welcome to the family."
Belle mouthed 'oh my god' and fanned her eyes so she didn't cry. Jacob wiped tears from his eyes before softly laughing at Bella.
They toasted and they sipped their champagne but Bella's cup had been filled with apple juice by Leah before she arrived and she smiled into her cup. She leaned into Jacob and whispered in his ear, "Don't go getting drunk on me."
He leaned towards her and smiled at her, turning back towards Charlie for his toast.
"Well I am not sure how to follow that, but I'm Charlie father of the bride. Today I am the proudest man in the world. Seeing your daughter so happy and radiant is truly amazing. But it is tinged with a little sadness. For those who know me well, being generous does not come natural to me, so it phased me a little in the ceremony when I had to give her away. However, Jacob..." He raised his glass, "I couldn't ask for a better son-in-law. Congratulations you two." They toasted again and sipped their drinks as Bella laughed at how short and sweet it was. The Pack made silly toasts filled with sexual innuendos and pack mind secrets that made Bella cringe and Jacob made a mental note to kill them next time he phased. It was then time for the Father daughter dance as Charlie led his daughter out to the dance floor as everyone watched.
"God I hate this attention." She cringed, laying her hands in her fathers.
"I know kiddo, I'm with you it'll be over though and you'll want to relive this moment forever. Trust me." He said sadly, she knew he missed Renee and she smiled at him.
"I love you Dad." He smiled at her as the band began to play a Rascall Flatts Cover.
"ooooooooooh. I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow and each road leads you to where you want to go. And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose I hope you choose the one that means the most to you. And if one door opens to another door closed I hope you keep on walkin till you find the window, it its cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile." Charlie swayed with Bella and mouthed 'I love you' to her as she began to get emotional. "don't start crying on me kiddo."
"But more than anything, more than anything, My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to your dreams stay big and your worries stay small. You never need to carry more than you can hold and while you're out there getting where you're getting to I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the same things too, yea this is my wish. She glanced at Jacob who was leaning back in his chair, obviously enjoying the spectacle of Charlie trying to dance. He raised his eyebrows at Bella and winked at her, she shook her head and laughed.

"Thank God. Sorry Kiddo." Charlie kissed her on the cheek and she gave him a long hug. He hurried off to sit down and chugged the rest of his champagne.
"What a dance! But get the cameras ready, because now it's time for the couple's first dance as husband and wife."
Jacob wrapped his arms around his wife and smiled, "Get up here." She laughed and stood on the tops of his feet, the audience laughed but truly had no idea that they had always danced like this.
The band began to play 'From This Moment' and Bella leaned into Jacob.
"I do swear that I'll always be there. I'd give anything and everything and I will always care. Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow for better or worse I will love you with every beat of my heart. Bella had been so relaxed she nearly fell asleep on him as he rubbed her back, "Babe, songs over." She simply just mumbled mmm and wrapped her arms tighter around his hips. He smiled and held her through another few songs while they were joined with the rest of their guests on the floor.
Throughout the night everyone was in good spirits, laughing and joking about the past and what was to happen on the honeymoon. Jacob had removed Bella's garter with his teeth, when he had gone up under her dress she had clenched his head with her knees and wanted to die as the guys cat called. But Jacob pushed the dress up higher and caused her to let go, scared to be on display. Seth caught that garter and wore it on his wrist all night proudly scouring the party for a single lady. Grace had caught Bella's bouquet and she saw her dancing with Seth later on in the night, she couldn't believe she never introduced them before.
"Jake, look." Bella pointed to their two friends and smiled up at him. "Isn't that cute?" Grace and Seth were slow dancing to the music even though it was a faster song and chatting away.
"I'll be..." Jake smiled.
"May I?" Renee tapped Bella on the shoulder. "Phil wants a dance with you Bella and I'll borrow this one."
She nodded and joined Phil as Renee swayed with Jacob, "I really wanted to tell you how sorry I am for missing the ceremony."
He nodded, "I understand, things happen. Like she said, we'll send you a copy it won't be the same but it will be a keepsake."
"It seems like ages ago you had me help you convince her she wanted to be with you and now look at you two. You've been through so much...I just..." She began to cry and Jacob felt uncomfortable, wiping her tears or holding her seemed very inappropriate. "I wish your Mom was here Jacob, I've been so lost without her guidance and friendship and she would be so proud of you and Bella."
He nodded, "I know she would Renee and I like to think she was here in spirit. She wouldn't miss this for anything."
"Congratulations on your marriage Isabella." Phil was always formal, refusing to call her Bella sometimes and it normally got under her skin, but today nothing could upset her.
"Thank you Phil, I'm glad you and Mom made it out. I know your schedule is hectic."
"Actually...I took some time off, because...I'm leaving your mom." Except maybe this.
"You're what?!" Bella shrieked, "Why are you telling me this tonight of all nights?!"
She's now attracted those around her, including Jacob who was still dancing with a rambling renee.
"I'm leaving her tonight, I need you to understand, she's not who I thought she was when I married her." Phil tried to hush Bella but she smacked his hand away from her face.
"Do not touch me. You are a coward, you aren't around enough to give her a chance." She snarled, Jacob was at her side staring at Phil.
"What's going on?" He asked, Renee coming up beside him.
"I'm not dealing with this." Bella turned on her heel and headed for the hallway and left them all confused and stunned.
"I don't know what just happened, but I'm sure whatever it was could've waited a few more hours Phil." Renee chimed in, "You just ruined her perfect night."
Phil hung his head and retreated to his table to grab his coat as Renee followed, shooting Jacob an apologetic look. He waved at them as he took off after Bella, minutes later he found her hugging herself and staring out the window at the forest. As though she knew he was standing there she sighed, "The forest holds so much meaning to me...funny huh."
"Funny ha ha or funny as in ironic since you hate the dark and trip over everything?" he joked, standing behind her.
She smiled, "Both I guess. When I moved here it was just a patch of trees, but beyond them was so many memories to be made. I see them now and think of you, all the times you've phased, the walks we've had, the secret trips to my house through them. It makes me think of the tree outside Charlie's house you used to scale up late at night after patrols..."
He nodded and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, kissing her temple. "You OK?"
"Phil's leaving my Mom tonight."
Jacob sighed, "Why would he do that to you right now."
"I don't know, I'm trying really hard not to let it ruin my night though." She spun around and tugged on Jacob's shirt so he bent to kiss her. The room melted away around her as she got lost in his kisses, her hands felt the nape of his neck longing to find his long hair but came back empty.
"Ahem." A voice from the doorway spoke out. "You two want to wrap this party up so you can actually be alone?" They turned to see Leah standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips, "They want you to cut the cake."
The cake was a 4 tiered box cake with white fondant, one tier for each year they had dated officially. The top had the traditional Bride and Groom but these were made of fondant to look like Jake and Bella. It had drapery of purple fondant on the top of each tier and said 'Mr. and Mrs. Black' in frosting on the bottom in black.
Bella picked up the knife and Jacobs hand engulfed hers as he helped her cut a piece for them to feed each other. Bella's eyes pleaded with Jake as he smirked at her, "Don't worry, I won't smash it on you."
She bit her lip and cameras went crazy as he delicately laid a small piece into her mouth and licked his thumb. She smiled and returned the delicate gesture as he licked her finger clean of fondant and then they kissed each other while the wedding party began laying out cake slices for the guests to have.
"I love you Jake." She kissed his nose and he nuzzled her face.
"I love you too Bella."
