"Why's your name Verde? Doesn't that mean green?" the girl sitting around asks him.
"How is this relevant to anything?" he replies. "Besides, your name is Akane. That means red."
"I know, but my hair isn't red. Your hair is green…" she says. She looks up at the ceiling. "I wonder why people would name their children after colors." She stares off into space again and then says suddenly, "I'm hungry now." She stands up and walks towards the door. "Do you want anything, Verde?"
"No."
He sees her pout. "It's bad if you don't eat anything." She walks out of the room. As usual, she'll probably bring him something to eat anyways. She's an innocent, naïve, and not the brightest person around, but her strange questions and the way the topics change so quickly didn't bore him. So, that's why he keeps her around.
