(Hey guys, /this chapter is kind of like a special so it may be longer than usual but I have something BIG in store for you guys... ^_^)
Neji's P.O.V
I did it... I confessed to her. I didn't flinch or blush I just stared into her eyes, waiting for her reaction. She stayed shocked for a moment but then, she stood up with her eyes closed and her hands clasped. I stood up in front of her and stayed close.
"I'm sorry, Neji but I really have no plan of falling in love. And I can't think of you anywhere near being my lover, you're just my friend. I'm sorry but I have no patience for hearts and flowers. I hope you understand." she said with a small compassionate smile. A sharp pain shot through my chest as her words echoed through my head.
'No... She should've remembered me... She should've remembered us...! Did I really make her regret meeting me that much...? What have I done...?'
She gave me a sympathetic hug then headed back to the inn. But she surprised me by turning around and smiling at me.
"Let's go back, Neji." she said with her usual happy tone. My heart trembled upon seeing her smiling face. If only I was sure that that smile was for me and only me. Like the time when I used to see that smile. If I want that smile to be mine and only mine, I have to keep going. I have to keep pursuing her... I have to become her one and only pursuer. I tried to smile then followed her back to the hot springs.
*~BACK AT THE HOT SPRINGS~*
"Where have you two been?" asked Nanami-san.
"I was out on a stroll with Neji up in to mountains." Kisaru said casually.
"Oh really?! What did you guys do there?" Nanami-san asked excitedly.
"Talk. Nothing much." Kisaru replied.
"Oh... Alright." Nanami-san said, a bit disappointed.
"Well, we'd better prepare out stuff tonight. We set off early tomorrow." said Gus-san. Kisaru, Nanami-san and Tenten went in the other room separated by a divider. Shortly after they left us three guys went to bed.
*~The Following Morning~*
"Hai, hai! Let's set out!" Kisaru exclaimed happily while waving her hands up in the air.
"Geez, you seem extra giddy today, Kisaru. Did something happen?" asked Gus-san.
"Nah, I just can't wait to go home!" she replied.
"Why? What's to look forward to at home? Usually, you always complain that there's nothing to do at home." said Nanami-san.
"There's a desserts-eating cometition at my favorite bakery and I wanna participate!" she said excitedly. Oh yeah... Kisaru loves sweets... I thought to myself.
"You'll let me participate, right Onii-sama?! After all, it was my birthday just a few weeks ago!" she continued.
"Fine. Just don't blame me if you get fat." he said jokingly.
"I won't! Geez..." she said as she pouted. After their discussion, we finally started walking back to Konoha. The trip was longer than I thought. Tenten kept clinging to me and Lee would stay close with Kisaru. I swear, if Lee even dares touch her...
"Geez, Neji... Are you even listening to me?" Tenten snapped me out of my daze.
"Oh... Sorry. What was that?" I asked her.
"What do you think we should do once we get home?" she asked.
"I'm busy." I said as I started to go faster so she'd leave me alone. She also quickened her pace then walked beside me.
"Say, what did you do with Kisaru last night, up in the mountain?" she asked me.
"It's none of your business. Please, leave me alone." I said.
"C'mon, you can tell me." she said, attempting to sound cute.
"It's nothing, please..."
"C'mon! Just tell me!" she forced me.
"I confessed to Kisaru." I said then immediately walked forward so Tenten won't catch up with me anymore.
Tenten's P.O.V
No... This can't be happening... There's no way I'm letting Kisaru have Neji... I have to get rid of her...
"Neh~, Gus-sempai! Do you think we can take a rest?" I whined.
"We'll rest when we get to the border." he said.
*~At the Border~*
This is the perfect plan... I just have to execute it.
"Kisaru-chan! Can I talk with you for a moment?" I called out to her.
"Hm? Oh, sure, Ten-chan!" she said as I gestured her to come with me behind the bushes. As soon as we were out of sight, I glared at her.
"Giku... Wh-what is it, Ten-chan? Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked me, obviously intimidated.
"What did you do to make Neji fall in love with you, huh?" I asked her.
"What the... I don't know. Honestly, I really don't know what he sees in me." she said, trying to push me away. I produced a kunai from my sleeve and stabbed her.
"Ten-chan... What are you..." she grunted out.
"Neji belongs to me. I'll never let you have him." I said as I pushed her. Then, I just noticed that there was a cliff right behind her. She stumbled then fell over. My eyes widened then a wicked smile crept on my face. I used the kunai to give myself some scratches then, I ruffled and dirtied up my clothes and hair. I quickly ran over to our camp sight then acted like I was out of breath.
"Tenten! What happened?!" Lee asked.
"Ki-Kisaru fell of the cliff! We have to go save her!" I exclaimed. Then, we ran over to the cliff. We looked over to see Kisaru already on the ground. But something didn't seem right.
"Kisaru! Are you alright?!" Nanami-san asked with worry in her tone.
Kisaru didn't respond.
Neji used his byakugan then his eyes widened in shock.
"We have to get Kisaru, quick! She's bleeding, fast!" he said as he ran down the cliff. No... He shouldn't be caring about her... All of us went down the cliff to save her. Nanami-san immediately started reparing everything that she could. Neji and the other two guys turned to look at me.
"Tenten, how did this happen?" Lee asked me.
"I just wanted to ask her about what we should do for Neji's birthday since we weren't able to give him anything (A/N: Neji's birthday was on July 3 just so you know :3) then she got mad at me then started to hit me. She tackled me then she was about to push me over the cliff but she didn't see how much space was between her and the cliff so the edge crumbled then she fell off." I lied.
"I never knew Kisaru was that kind of person..." Lee mumbled.
"Nanami, how's she holding up?" Gus-san asked with a worried tone.
"Something is very very wrong... My medical ninjustu is being rejected... and her blood is... black." she said.
"What else is wrong with her?" Neji asked.
"A vein popped in her head, her left collar bone is fractured, she broke 2 ribs, one of her spinal discs are about to slip, her spleen is ruptured and her right leg is dislocated... But she's still alive." Nanami-san panicked.
"And why can't your medical ninjutsu heal any of these? Why is your medical ninjutsu being rejected?" Gus-san asked.
"I think it's the black blood that's causing the problem! Remember that time when Kisaru's cheek was cut! The enemy must've done it!" Nanami said.
"Kochiyo Sen no Jutsu!" Gus-san summoned a bear.
"Quick. Let's bring her to Konoha as quick as possible." he said. Neji and Nanami-san carried Kisaru with the utter most caution as they placed her on on the bear's back.
"Kuma-sama, please bring us to Konoha as fast as possible. Everyone hop on!" He said. We all rode on the bear's back then immediately headed for Konoha.
(Well! That was interesting! What do you guys think will happen to Kisaru? What is Neji feeling in all of this? And what will Tenten do next?! I love cliff hangers like this! _ Sorry if you don't! ^_^" Stay Tuned for the next chapter! This is getting me excited... :3)
