Skye took a step back from Ward in alarm, her eyebrows furrowed as she contemplated his words. "What? I would never do that! I swore an oath to SHIELD, how could you even suggest that!?" she exclaimed throwing her hands up into the air to emphasize her point. Ward stepped back holding his hands out as he begun to explain "Well you are the one that is wanting me to lie to our Director." Skye looked to him with pursed lips before she coyly replied "Who said anything about lying? I am asking you to not inform Director Fury, I will when the time is right." Ward rubbed his forehead in thought before he replied "Fine, I won't inform him but only because you asked."
Skye smiled up at him happily letting her nonagent self show briefly, "Thanks, I owe you one. You can you let Cap know that I will be in my room meditating if he needs me? Also I would like to be present when he goes to see Bucky, I will have Jarvis let me know when that occurs." she said slowly moving back towards the elevator only for the AI to interrupt " I have added your request to the database, I will inform you when Captain Rogers is on his way to see Sargent Barnes."
Two hours later
Clint walked through the halls contemplating what should be done after everything that has happened. His little sister had shown some of her abilities to the extreme, and although most of the time he was slightly fearful of those with abilities ( tho he wouldn't admit it) he actually loved the power that his sister now wielded. He came to a stop in front of his sisters door and lightly knocked "Doe?" he whispered, knowing that his sister could hear him with both her training and advanced hearing.
A second later Skye opened the door, he hid a cringe when he saw that bruising was setting in on various parts of her face. "Hey Blue." she greeted with a smile before flinching at the pain that emanated from both her lip and cheek . She moved aside to let him enter her room before letting the door close shut behind them. " how are you feeling Skye?" he asked watching her reactions carefully. She shrugged "Benefit to super serum is that I heal quickly, sadly it doesn't make it any less painful."
Clint sighed sitting down on her bed, he saw that the TV was on and their was a pint of cookie dough ice cream sitting on the night stand. She grabbed a second spoon and tossed it to him absentmindedly to which he caught without a second thought. She sat on her bed cross legged leaning against the headboard with the ice cream carton in the middle of them. "I should've known that super serum wouldn't keep you away from your cookie dough ice cream." Skye smiled as she ate a bite of the ice cream, moaning as she savored the flavors that mixed in her mouth.
"So what brings you here Blue? Miss our times just hanging out together and not competing?" she asks looking at him with a small gracious smile. Clint smiled at her before shrugging " Yes... I am tired of winning all the time. Plus I haven't been able to settle down and eat ice cream for over a year now." Skye was silent for a moment before she suggested "We could go hang out in our favorite places... After of course everything settles down and Bucky is back to normal. For now we will just have to settle for competing and times like this."she said leaning on his shoulder.
They spent half an hour chatting before Skye fell asleep on Clint's shoulder, he sighed and planted a kiss on her forehead before adjusting himself into a comfortable position. Soon they were both asleep, an hour passed before Skye was starting to wake up and felt a presence. She went with her training and continued to shift like she was still asleep, but in fact she was casually slipping a knife from her brothers belt. Skye kept her breathing even before she reacted, she shot up and threw the knife at the figure watching her and her brother. Clint startled awake and shot up with a knife in his palm only to see that Natasha was looking shocked while her hand grazed a bleeding cut from where Skye's knife grazed.
Clint looked to his sister to see her holding her mouth in shock eyes wide. "What just happened?" he asks while Skye gets her voice back "I am so sorry Nat ... I-" she begins to explain only for Nat to cut her off "It's my fault, I should've announced myself. Especially after everything that has happened, but I can see why you ranked so high in the stats I couldn't tell you were awake till it was almost too late." she complimented with a smile putting Skye more at ease. Clint looked at Natasha with furrowed eyebrows before he asked "Was there something you needed?"
Natasha smirked "Jarvis sent me down, he didn't want to wake you two up but... (She looks to Skye) The Winter Soldier is awake." Skye's face went impassive before she slid out of bed and walked calmly out of the door. Clint and Natasha both followed her out and to the room that they were holding the Winter Soldier. Skye came around the corner to see Steve limping towards the door, that was guarded by Sam and ... "Thor?" said Steve in shock upon seeing the Asgardian. The blonde Asgardian embraced the super soldier tightly "Ahh my friend! It is most wonderful to see you again Steven."
Steve flinched upon contact before wheezing out " THOR! can't breathe... bruises ribs." Thor instantly released the Soldier making Steve slightly stumble, Skye was by his side in seconds. "Easy there partner." she teased lightly letting him lean on her. Thor looked at Skye curiously before looking to Steve waiting for an introduction "Thor! Good to see you back, this is my sister Skye... She is with Shield." said Clint appearing beside him with Natasha seemingly out of nowhere.
Thor turned to Skye with a beaming smile before bowing slightly in greeting and saying "Lady Skye, it is an honor to meet the sibling of Hawkeye. Do you work with Son of Coul?" he asks curiously, but his question puzzles Skye as she looks to her brother and murmurs "Ummm?" Clint smirked before stating "He is asking if you work with Agent Phil Coulson, which is correct." Skye smirked before replying "Then yes I work with Son of Coul. Please call my Skye none of this lady stuff."
Clint and Steve both smirked at Thor's shocked expression before he said " Very well... Skye, Captain have you been wounded in battle?" he asked noticing that Skye was taking much of Steve's weight upon her to keep him upright. Steve rubbed the back of his neck before replying "Well it was more of a fight than a battle but yes I was, I am already healing but the ribs and leg are still on the mend." Thor observed Steve's slight limp and frowned "What foe did this to you?" Skye noticed that Steve looked concerned so she spoke up "It was not a foe persay more along the lines of a friend that was brain washed tried to kill us and we didn't want to kill him so we got hurt for our reluctance. But we are alright, Steve is a super soldier and heals fast."
Clint moved to open the door as Skye and Steve both entered, Steve flinched upon seeing Bucky's metal arm stuck in a clamp immobilizing him completely. Sam was standing on the opposite side room with an impassive face, Tony was sitting in a chair eating an apple. " Sorry Cap, only security measure that would work for a super-soldier assassin." explained Sam upon seeing Steve's pained expression.
The Winter Soldier's expressions were hidden behind pieces of his greasy hair as he stared at the ground so they couldn't see his eyes brighten. "I understand Sam, do you mind giving me the room? Skye and I can handle this." Thor looked at Skye trying to figure out how she could possibly stop the obvious super soldier assassin in front of her ,but couldn't come up with any plausible ideas. He reluctantly followed the others out, leaving Steve and Skye alone with the Winter Soldier.
"Bucky..." Steve stated trying to keep his emotions in check while Skye was circling Bucky. She was looking for any sign of him being able to escape and was relieved when she didn't find any. The Winter Solider cocked his head to the side letting his hair slip to the side and expose his face. He looked weary as he looked between Skye and Steve before locking onto Steve and weakly saying "Steve... He... Help me."
