Countdown: 1 days, 12 hours.
"Hello there Jim I'm here in Los Angeles where it seems that not only have the skies have been darkened but the sea has become black as well" Angela, a reported for the daily news said as she held a small test tube that contained pitch black liquid that was taken from the salty waters behind her. "I am holding in my hand a sample taken from the sea that has become black behind me. But not only that if you follow me down the shore you will notice hundreds of dead fish laying in the sand next to the abnormally still waters. Whatever is happening here the coastguard is baffled as to what is going on. We have been told that it is a massive oil spill however that does not explain why the sun has not come up." The reporter finished.
"Thank you Angela. And now we go to commercial break." The man on the TV said before North turned it off. "The sky and the water? What is going on here? We killed Pumpkin Jack, Pitch is nowhere to be found, and he doesn't have this kind of strength, what kind of power is this?" North asked himself as he held some of the black sand beneath a looking glass.
"Well we can at least be glad that the desert in the sky isn't pummeling the cities." Jack said as he walked into the room.
"Jack you have been trying to get through the sand since yesterday why don't you go back your home and get some sleep." North replied to Jack.
"I can't sleep when some Power is looming over…. Actually sleep sounds pretty good right about now." Jack hesitated as North shot him with a piercing glare.
Soon the room was empty save for the old, hunched, recovering man who was looking at the sands on a molecular level. "What, that's impossible, this isn't sand, I've seen these before, when was it…. back during the… when he was… Oh no!"

Pitch sailed through the miasma covering the planet and looked up at the moon beyond. "Oh don't be so disappointed at me old friend. You have only yourself to blame. You the great and powerful man on moon who has so much authority choose THEM over me to watch over the mortals, ME who had the only legitimate power to rule over them. You made me turn to him, YOU made me fall to such low deaths, YOU MADE ME THIS WAY." Pitch shouted at the moon.
Pitch cooled down and turned around to walk back through the skies to the castle where the malevolent master of all darkness was working the last point in his master scheme when he felt heat on his back. Turning around he saw the moon condensing its light to only shine on him. Pitch shielded his face from the oncoming blaze of heat that accosted Pitch in the church.
Nothing. A little heat but nothing hot enough to burst him into flames like it did jack.
"Is this it? all you have?" pitch was surprised. Was he stronger, that wasn't it, any real power he contained was absorbed by his partner, no, his master. If he wasn't stronger then the man on the moon was weak, a shell of his former power.
"Hahahhahaha I can't believe this. A single day without the sun and the people begin panicking. This is f-fun." Pitch began laughing. A long deep laugh that echoed all the way to the moon as Pitch disappeared into the black sands.
