Chapter 35
Lux's Point of View
Things had escalated enough with Chuck that we ended up in his bed tangled in his thousand thread count sheets. I could feel the rise and fall of his chest beneath me as I rested my head on him. Chuck's fingertips made circles along my bare back sending tingling sensations all the way to the tips of my toes. I lifted my head up to look at his face. He smirked his trade mark smirk while I planted light feather kisses up his chest to his lips. I felt his hand slide down to the small of my back while he brushed some hair away from my eyes with the other hand.
"This was so much better than sitting in a stuffy classroom taking the SAT's." I whispered while he ran his fingers through the back of my hair pulling my head towards his for another tantalizing kiss on the lips.
"I couldn't agree more." He whispered in my ear sensually. I bit my lip pulling away from him and smiled before our lips found each other's once again. Chuck shifted beneath me so I could roll onto my back. He hovered over me holding him-self up partially so he wouldn't squish me and kissed the crook of my neck. I let out a low whimper at the feeling of his hand on my side underneath the sheets and comforter.
"You're actually getting better at this." Chuck whispered spreading my legs so he could settle in front of me. I tiny laugh escaped from my lips as I locked my arms around his neck.
"Well you know what they say…practice makes perfect." I said trying to sound flirtatious. His eyebrows arched in surprise and a devious grin formed on his lips.
"Who else have you been practicing with?" He questioned with our lips barely touching. I felt his hand slip down between my legs and froze letting my body try and relax at his touch. He slipped his fingers inside just enough to send the burning need for him throughout my body. I shuddered and let out a low moan gripping the back of his neck. "Chuck, please…" I begged him.
"Is there someone else I should be worried about?" He asked massaging that specific point. I tried to kiss him only for him to pull back playfully. He was being cruel.
"Maybe…why does the thought of me with someone else make you jealous?" I asked as he curled his fingers inside sending me to the brink. He wanted to play games, well so did I. Chucks scoffed while I writhed in a naked sweat.
"You don't want to see me jealous, princess." He taunted me curling his fingers once again. My hips involuntarily bucked while my mouth opened slightly as a warm sensation washed over my entire body. Why is he doing this to me? I leaned up and kissed him on the lips letting his tongue do all the exploring.
"Why's that? Is Chuck Bass afraid of competition." I mocked him when our lips broke apart momentarily. I don't even know why he was asking me if there was anyone else. He's the only guy that I've ever slept with. At this rate I don't want anyone else. Chuck was enough for me. I tossed my head back against the pillow feeling myself teetering on the edge while he continued his handy work between my legs.
"No one else can ever compare to what we have." He answered locking eyes with me. There was an undeniable pull between the two of us that was for damn sure. I never wanted another guy to look at me the way he does. I only wanted it to be him.
"What do we have?" I asked feeling his lips trail down to my collarbone. I threaded my fingers through the back of his hair feeling myself about to let go.
"Say I'm the only one." He demanded while I became irritated with all of his teasing and taunting. I didn't want him to know how much I really did want him even though right now it was pretty obvious. My hips bucked into his hand again causing me to lose my breath and focus.
"Chuck I swear to god if you don't…" I could hardly speak. He smiled in satisfaction, relishing how much my body wanted him.
"Say it." He whispered slowly in my ear kissing and sucking on the crook of my neck. His warm soft lips planted butterfly kisses along my jaw long while his free hand groped my breast. I dug my nails into his back frustrated. Tingles and shivers shot through me as I let go.
"You're the only one." I whispered breathlessly in his shoulder while shocks of excitement and need poured through my veins. Chuck grinned at my dazed expression and the rapid rise and fall of my chest letting his lips crash into mine seamlessly.
We spent the remainder of the day twisted and tangle up in skin in his bed. I heard my phone going off in the pocket of my skinny jeans that had gotten tossed on to the floor. I pulled a sheet around myself reaching for Chuck's black t-shirt on the floor. I slipped it over my head and got up to get my phone. I tucked some hair behind my ear while I fished for my phone. Chuck came out of the bathroom and made his way over to me. "Huh…" he smiled shaking his head.
"What?" I asked innocently looking at him.
"Nothing…you just look really good in my shirt that's all." He admitted causing me to blush. I looked at the ground before he cupped his hand under my chin pulling me into a sweet kiss. My phone buzzed in my hand pulling me back into reality. Chuck locked his hands around my waist letting his hand drift on my butt. I nudged him away playfully as we continued to kiss. "Down boy." I laughed hearing my stomach make a god awful noise.
"Well that's embarrassing." I laughed opening my phone. Chuck let out a low chuckle before kissing the top of my head.
"I'll see if there's anything in the kitchen. If not we can order room service." He said over his shoulder heading into the little kitchenette just passed the bar on the other end of his suite. I slipped on my underwear and perched myself up on the back of the couch looking at my phone. I had fifteen missed calls from Blair. She was probably wondering where I went. I tossed my phone on the couch and made my way into the kitchen to see Chuck holding a pack of chocolate chips.
"So it looks like this is the only thing edible in here." He said plopping the pack of chocolate chips on the counter and grabbing the phone to call room service.
"Wait, we can make cookies." I said looking in the tiny fridge he had to see some butter and two eggs.
"You can make cookies? I mean can you cook? Do you even know how to work an oven?" He said laughing. I rolled my eyes and searched for the rest of the ingredients and a few bowls
"I can cook, some stuff." I informed him feeling him walk up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist while I cracked the eggs into the bowl and measured some sugar. He pulled all of my messy hair to the side exposing my neck and kissed me gently.
"Well since you can cook, maybe you could make dinner for me one night." He suggested making me weak in the knees. I turned my head and smiled nodding my head. "I'd like that." I replied feeling his hands resting on my stomach.
"I'll be right back." He whispered before heading out of the kitchen. He returned a few short moments later holding a yellow phone book in his hands. "What are you doing?" I laughed looking at him curiously. He held his finger up silencing me while he searched through the book.
"Okay, I got it. I just wanted to make sure I had the number to the poison control center handy just in case this whole cookie thing doesn't work out." He laughed leaning into the door jam. I gasped and laughed flicking some flour at him playfully.
"That's mean!" I shrieked. White drops of flour stuck to his face causing me to laugh even more. He crossed his arms over his chest and lowered his head before looking up at me menacingly almost. A wicked grin etched its way onto his perfect face.
"You're going to regret that." He said moving towards me scooping some of the cookie dough up with his hand and smearing it across my face. I squealed and pushed him away as we both laughed. I grabbed an extra egg I had set out and cracked it over his head while he tried to stop me. He smirked and shook his head shocked that I had really done that.
"You're dead now." He said throwing flour at me. I giggled while he pulled me into his chest before making a break for the living room. Chuck grabbed me and smeared cookie dough in my hair pinning me against the back of the sofa. I couldn't stop laughing and neither could he. "I surrender!" I laughed when he started to tickle me in the ribs. "What's that I couldn't hear you?" He teased tickling me mercilessly.
"I'm sorry! I surrender!" I laughed hysterically smiling wildly up at him. We just destroyed the kitchen with our little fight. Maid service will have a field day with that.
"Well now we need a shower." He said taking in our dirty appearance. He stepped back and hooked his thumb in the back of his shirt pulling it off swiftly. Chuck took my hand and led me into the bathroom turning the shower on and letting the room fill with warmth and steam before removing both of our clothes and pulling me inside with him…
Spending the day with Chuck after blowing off the SAT's was exactly what I needed. I knew he wouldn't hound me for missing the exam; he would just let me be with him for a while. I sat on the couch in one of Chuck's clean button down shirts and a pair of his boxers surfing through the channels on the TV while he ordered room service in the other room. I picked up my phone and called Blair back to tell her not to wait up for me. I'll probably just end up staying here tonight. After chewing me out for missing the exam she agreed to see me in the morning. She sounded different on the phone which worried me. It seemed like she was upset, but when I asked if she was alright she had said yes… A knock on the door forced Chuck up off the sofa after he'd just sat down and placed his hand on my thigh.
"Hey, Lux." Serena said groggily as she followed Chuck into the living room. She looked at me and my clothes strewn about on the floor around his bed and smirked while I pulled her into a hug.
"Where have you been? I've been worried about you since last night." I told her as we both sat down on the sofa next to each other. Chuck excused himself from our girl talk and poured everyone a drink at the bar.
"I decided to have dinner with Georgina last night to tell her to stay away and that my partying days are well in the past, but I woke up this morning hungover and unaware of where I was. I don't even remember when we started drinking. The strongest thing on the table was Perrier." Serena explained while Chuck sat down on the arm chair across from us.
"If I had a dime for every time I woke up unaware of where I was, I'd be even richer than I already am." He said grinning at Serena's woes. I shot him a look while he sipped on his mix drink and sunk himself into the chair he was sitting in. Serena ran her hands through her hair on the brink of tearing up. I rubbed her back and pulled her into a hug. "It's going to be okay." I reassured her.
"Now if you two just removed each other's clothes slowly this would be better than television." Chuck grinned while Serena and I broke out of our hug. I glared at Chuck and threw a throw pillow at him as hard as I could.
"I woke up to late to even make it to the exams. Dan is going to be so disappointed in me. I'm disappointed in me right now. I never should have gone to dinner with her." Serena said wiping the smeared mascara from under her eyes. We heard another knock on the door so Chuck went to answer it. It was probably room service.
"So how did you do on the test?" Serena asked clearing her throat. I shook my head and lowered it. I filled her in on everything with the Captain quickly hearing Chuck at the door arguing with someone. Serena and I both got up and walked to the door to see Dan standing in the hallway.
"Hey." Serena said stepping in front of Chuck. He retreated to my side and looked at me.
"Hey. What's going on with you? Don't say you're fine either because I know that you're not. Where were you today?" Dan said reaching out to hold her hands in his own. Serena glanced back at me and looked like she wanted to puke. Her face was pale and her eyes were sunken back. This isn't like her at all. It hurt to see my best friend so torn and upset.
"She was with me." Chuck chimed in trying to help Serena out. He crossed his arms over his chest and stared Dan down. "What he means is she was with us." I corrected him. Dan would think something was going on between them if I didn't. Dan sighed and turned his attention back to Serena who stood quietly in front of him.
"Look, if-if-if you didn't study enough and you're freaked out I understand. Just tell me." He pleaded.
"Um, my stomach started acting up again." She said when Dan took her face in his hands and held her in front of him.
"A food poisoning relapse? You paid someone else to take the SAT's for you and that's the best you can come up with." Dan accused her. Serena shook her face out of his hands and looked at him confused and frustrated. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about the 5-foot-nothing redhead claiming to be Serena Van Der Woodsen. I'm-I'm pretty sure that wasn't you." Dan stuttered out hopelessly looking at his girlfriend. Serena whipped her head around and glared at Chuck. "What did you do? I called you and asked you to keep the doors open."
"They don't exactly keep the doors open. I was thinking on my feet, just trying to help." He explained stepping forward a little. Serena scratched the back of her neck nervously turning to Dan.
"I'm not mad, okay? I just want to understand what's going on with you here lately. I've been so worried about you. Please, help me understand what's going on here." He begged her pulling her into a sweet kiss and hugging her. You could tell he really cared for her by the concern in his voice and the worry on his face.
"Can we please just talk tomorrow? I'll call you. I'm sorry." Serena whispered trying desperately to get him to give her some space. I walked up beside her and placed my hand on the door looking at Dan so he would take the hint. There's something else going on here. I can feel it…
"I'm sorry, too." Dan said before I closed the door and looked at my scared best friend standing before me.
"Chuck you went too far." Serena snapped at him.
"And so did you, sis." He countered back.
"Look, I feel foolish for admitting it, but obviously, I've come late to this party." Chuck said looking at me. We were both thinking the same thing. "What's Georgina got on you?" I asked rubbing her shoulder while a few tears escaped from her eyes.
"What's so bad you can't even tell me?" Chuck questioned. He's the epitome of bad choices and decisions so whatever she's done couldn't be half as bad as some of the stuff he's done. Serena burst into tears and ran for the bathroom. I followed after her and waited on the other side of the door before knocking lightly.
"S, it's me." I said before walking inside. We hugged and I wiped the running mascara from her face with a tissue.
"It's going to be okay. I promise S. Let us help you as much as we can." I told her while we looked at each other.
"This is something I have to handle on my own. But I love you guys for wanting to help me. Georgina won't let me go…I'll always be her puppet. I'm not doing it anymore; I need to go finish this with her." Serena said taking a deep breath. "You do what you need to do. But you're friends are here." I said giving her a smile before she headed out of the suite to go hunt down Georgina.
I pulled on my jeans and slipped on my shoes to head home myself. Something told me Blair wasn't okay and I needed to make sure. "Where are you going?" Chuck asked looking at me a little disappointed that I wouldn't be sleeping over. I smiled and pulled my sweater on over his button up feeling his hands instantly on my waist.
"I have to go home. I need to talk to Blair. She sounded off on the phone earlier and I'm just worried about her and Serena." I confided in him. He nodded his head understanding why I needed to go. I felt bad that he would be alone here in this empty suite. If Nate would just get over himself they could be hanging out again. I know they have to miss each other.
"Well then I guess I'll see you later." Chuck said letting me go. I cocked my head to the side and stood on my tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. "I'll call the car around to take you home." He whispered kissing me back. I smiled at him and walked out the door to head home.
The apartment was still and quiet as I crept upstairs. I saw a light on underneath Blair's door and walked in to see her sitting on the floor cross legged in her closet organizing her shoes by color. "B, you okay." I knelt down beside her as she looked at me tears welled in her eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked sitting beside her and rubbing her back.
"Nate…Cheated on me." She said throwing a suede pump into the back of her closet harshly.
"How? What? When? I don't understand…Nate loves you B." I reassured her. I didn't want it to be true. But deep down in my gut I already knew who he had surely cheated with. Vanessa. I'll kill him. I will go to jail for murder…
