Boq's Week Off

37. The Hotel Room

They finally reach the floor their room was on and got off the elevator, both of them handling the luggage cart. Boq slid the key through the scanner and opened the door, pulling the cart behind him. He looked around when he had gotten past the long, narrow space between the door and the main room. The room was huge.

Galinda didn't hesitate to run to the bed and jump into it. She was exhausted. She couldn't imagine what Boq must be feeling like, since he had drove the whole way.

Boq began to take their bags off the cart, placing them neatly in the corner of the room nearest to the door. He took the luggage cart outside into the hallway and then got his pajamas from his suitcase.

Galinda got up and did the same, also grabbing her tooth brush and tooth paste.

Boq walked into the bathroom and was astounded by how large it was. "There's two sinks!" he exclaimed.

Galinda giggled. "Now we can both brush our teeth at the same time."

Galinda changed in the main room while Boq changed in the over-sized bathroom. After changing, they both brushed their teeth. Boq was beginning to act like Fiyero, because of all the amazing features the hotel room had.

"Do they have a pool?" he asked while Galinda was washing her face.

"Mhm." Galinda replied tiredly through the wet, soapy wash cloth.

Boq walked out into the main room and saw a doorway that was completely dark. He walked over to it, and then found the light switch. His jaw dropped. "THERE'S ANOTHER ROOM!"

Galinda rinsed her face and dried it with the towel next to 'her' sink. She walked over the the other room and shook her head with a smile.

Boq was running on pure adrenaline. He couldn't contain the childish state he had inside of him, jumping up and down on the bed.

Galinda couldn't help but to laugh. She'd never seen Boq like this. "I think Fiyero has rubbed off on you."

Boq smiled and hugged her. He calmed down after taking a break from jumping on the bed. "Would it be weird to say that I miss Shiz?"

Galinda smiled back at him. "No." she said, walking back to the main room with him. "You have a life and reputation to maintain there, and it really is a nice place."

Boq yawned and laid down on the bed. Galinda did the same. Before she knew it, Boq was already asleep. She smiled at him and kissed his cheek. "Goodnight, Boq." she said softly. Soon after, she was asleep, too.
