Al Drin Hoshizora: Well, what did you expect from a group of children and teenagers. Also, give me some credit for the long chapter. Didn't think it would get that long.

A-Plus Cassiopeia: I'd pay money to see you talk to a zombie. As for Sarah, 'course she has a good reason: revenge!

Guest: How many people did, exactly? As for the monsters, let's just see.

BookMast3r: You didn't expect what, exactly? Billy sparing Franny, Sarah turning evil, Sheena getting tossed into the river...

Yeah, I'm update extra quick, today. I just needed to get this chapter up right after the previous.

Twenty minutes later, Sarah wandered through the forest towards R.L. Stine's cabin. Following closely behind her, was Wart, Brenda, David, and Jared. Currently, they were all in their Creep forms.

"So, what's your plan, human?" Wart asked as he gave Sarah a small shove to keep her moving forward.

"It's quite simple, really," Sarah replied, brushing her back a bit after Wart pushed her. "I take the humans to your little theme park, and you can just pick them off, and we're done."

"What if you backstab us?" David asked suspiciously.

"Well, then you're not going to have anyone to lead Billy's club to the theme park," Sarah replied, rolling her eyes. "Besides, if you're scared I'll betray you, why don't you just kill me right now?"

"Believe me, if you try something funny, we won't hesitate to devour you," Jared threatened. Sarah scoffed, then stopped as she and the Creeps found themselves in front of R.L. Stine's cabin.

"Let's go in," Brenda suggested, but Sarah stopped them.

"Wait, we have to take out two loose ends," Sarah said. When the Creeps stared at Sarah, confused, she ushered them into the bushes, next to a window.

"Those two," She whispered, pointing at Jillian and Jackson, who were chatting with each other.

"What about them?" Jared asked.

"They can read minds," Sarah explained. "We need to lure them out so they don't catch on."

"How are we going to do that?" Wart asked.

Sarah thought for a bit, and an idea entered her mind.

"It's been nearly two hours, Jackson," Jillian whispered to her brother. "Neither Sarah nor Sheena are back, yet."

"We should tell Billy," Jackson suggested. However, before the two could go find Billy, they heard a faint scream, only loud enough for them to hear. Looking out the window, they saw Sarah, waving to them frantically. Behind her, they saw the four Creeps gripping her and dragging her away.

"Oh no, Sarah's in trouble!" Jillian shouted. "We have to go get her!"

"Shouldn't we tell Billy, first?" Jackson asked. The two heard Sarah scream again, and saw her being dragged away deeper into the forest.

"There's no time!" Jillian shouted. She grabbed Jackson by the shoulder and the two dove out the window and landed outside. They got to their feet and raced towards where Sarah and the Creeps had vanished into.

Slowly, the two crept through the forest, looking for Sarah.

"Sarah, where are you?!" Jillian shouted out, trying to see if she could find an answer from her. However, none came.

"You think you could read her mind so we could find her?" Jackson asked. Jillian shrugged, but decided to give it a try. However, before either of the two could start, they were both clubbed over by the head with a tree branch. The two dropped soundlessly onto the ground, unconscious.

Sarah stood over them, a tree branch in her hands. Soon, the four Creeps rushed out of hiding.

"What do we do now?" Jared asked.

Sarah dropped the tree branch and ordered, "Get rid of them! I'll go back to the group!"

With that, Sarah rushed from the forest and away from the Creeps. The four monsters looked down at the two unconscious psychics, and licked their lips hungrily. Slowly, the four surrounded the two children, and closed in.

"Hey, get away from them!" A voice shouted. The four Creeps looked up to see Eddie, with his brother and friends behind him. Alicia had joined them, too.

"What the hell are those things?" Kevin asked when he saw them.

"Dead meat!" Courtney shouted, and she charged at the four. Before they could react, she tackled Jared, knocking him backwards. The two tumbled down a small hill, rolling over each other. The other kids and the monsters rushed after them.

Courtney landed on Jared and proceeded to punch his scaly face repeatedly. However, Jared struck her, knocking her off of him. As Jared got up, Hat pounced on him, followed by Eddie. Kevin grabbed Brenda and threw her several feet away. Alicia kicked David in the shin, while Molly and Charlene grappled with Wart.

For several moments, the Creeps and children fought with each other. In the process, Jillian and Jackson had recovered and gotten up, and rushed towards the source of the fighting.

Quickly, Jillian used her telekinesis to toss the Creeps backwards. However, Jared had been holding Eddie, and dragged him away. The Creeps and Eddie tumbled onto the creek.

For a moment, they lay on the ground, motionless. However, Eddie eventually got up. As he did, he looked at his hand, and saw it was all muddy. His eyes widened in shock, and he looked around the creek.

"Oh, no," Courtney whispered as she, too, recognized where they were all standing.

They were in Muddy Creek.

Instantly, several muddy hands began to burst out from the ground. Large, hulking figures sprang from the creek, covered in bog. The kids all screamed out as Mud Monsters began to emerge from around them. There was no place to move; they were surrounded.

The Creeps began to get up, and noticed all of the Mud Monsters emerging from the creek.

"Let's get out of here!" Jared shouted as he began to sprint away from the creek.

"But we need to finish the kids off," Brenda reminded, even as she began to flee.

"They're as good as dead with those monsters!" Jared replied, and with that, the Creeps scrambled out of the creek and into the forest.

The kids huddled together as the Mud Monsters all emerged from the creek. Dozens of massive figures, lumbering around the creek in a zombielike state. For a moment, it seemed like the Mud Monsters were unaware of the children. However, eventually, they started lumbering towards them.

"We're doomed, we're doomed!" Kevin shouted.

"Hey, you're the oldest, shouldn't you be setting an example?" Eddie asked, frustrated at his brother's cowardice.

"Screw that, how many big brothers get put up against monsters?" Kevin retorted.

Alicia stared at the Mud Monsters as they walked towards the kids, and she recognized the one she'd seen before in the creek days ago. It was in the center of the Mud Monsters.

"Hey, it's you," She said as she walked to the Mud Monster. However, Courtney grabbed her by the collar and yanked her back.

"Are you crazy, girl?" Courtney asked her as she lifted Alicia up into the air so she couldn't run. Slowly, the kids began to back up into a tree as the Mud Monsters advanced towards them.

Eddie, with little options, spoke out.

"Hey, big guys," He said, trembling. "So, I see one of you saved Alicia a couple days ago? Does that imply you're not all bad? Please not be all bad?"

The Mud Monsters didn't respond, and continued to walk forward. Finally, Courtney set Alicia down and stood in front of the other kids, shielding them.

"Okay, that's enough, you guys!" She shouted at the Mud Monsters even though she was terrified. "You know this isn't right. Taking people down into the creek and turning them into more Mud Monsters."

When the monsters didn't reply, Courtney went on. "For centuries, you've wanted to get revenge on this city, and for what? Because the city villagers treated you badly? Is that it? And because, because of that, you want to just take revenge on everyone in the city? Is that why?"

The kids were now backed up into a tree, and without any other escape exits. They were totally surrounded.

The Mud Monster that Alicia had pointed out stepped forward, and stood in front of the group, staring down at them. His pitch black eyes stared through the children like water.

Then, he opened his mouth revealing a pitch black empty void.

"The legend is wrong."

The words struck everyone, but especially Courtney, like a concrete slab being thrown into their faces. For a moment, they wondered who had spoken, but it dawned upon them that it was none other than the Mud Monster.

"Did you... talk?" Courtney asked in disbelief.

The Mud Monster, its eyes in a sorrowful gaze, nodded.

"The legend of us is wrong," He confessed.
