Chapter 34

Kagura had quickly found a nice small house with a yard way out in the country. She spent time looking for a dog that looked the way she had looked when she found one she named it what she had named herself Snowball. Then she moved herself into her new home and settled in this way she'd be ready for when Sesshomaru showed up. She had removed the microchip from herself and put it in the dog having them put Kanna as a secondary contact should anything happen to her. She wanted Kanna to know if she was gone and she doubted Kanna would mind caring for a real dog that reminded her of her sister. Once she was all unpacked and had her furniture arranged she settled in to wait for the day she was to buy the Toshio family dinner.

~ At the Higurashi Household~

Sesshomaru left his sire and Kagome's mother alone in the room feeling they needed to discuss things privately. He went to the living room and found Naomi sitting down near her saying, "Naomi I'd like to start courting you now and have an official mating ceremony once you have returned to normal. This, of course, will have to be a modified courtship where we only hold hands or I kiss your cheek or forehead. We will have to restrict dates to restaurants, parks, and movies that are G-rated."

Naomi replied, "I am willing to court you with those terms. Are you sure you want to be seen with a child all the time? I doubt this will last very long and Mae can care for me until I return to normal."

Sesshomaru took her hands in his saying, "I seriously owe you, Naomi, I'm behind the break in at your office. Even after my rude behavior you still turned around and helped me with my issues. I have done nothing to deserve your kindness and would like to return the favor not only by getting to know you but by caring for you. You are the kind of female I want raising my pups and I'd like a chance to show you that I am worthy of you."

Naomi understood what he was saying and was more than willing to give him a chance. She liked the idea of having the modified courtship and spending more time getting to know each other and not as much on the physical aspect of the relationship. There would be plenty of time to enjoy the physical part. She nodded to him letting him know that she had agreed to give it a try.

Once Toga returned he said, "I believe we have imposed on Mrs. Higurashi long enough. Let's go home I believe we need to have a family discussion." They all got into the car on the ride home InuYasha had changed from a human to a hanyu.

Kagome had instantly fawned over his ears commenting on how cute they were she had instantly loved him as a Mother loves her child. It didn't take long for Toga to figure that bond out and he now knew that he had a chance with her. If she loved his son than she would love any pup he would give her if she mated him. Once they arrived home they sat down and discussed things as a family and much to Sesshomaru's displeasure it was decided that while Naomi looked like a child it would be best for her to have her own room. He didn't like it but understood the reasoning behind it. InuYasha was transferred to a school that handled unruly hanyus. A female servant was assigned to Naomi to assist her with bathing and getting her clothes on.

Naomi spent her days with Sesshomaru either at the park or in the office helping him with his work. He found she had many unusual but very good ideas for dealing with clients especially the difficult ones. He quickly found her not only being ruthless but doing it honorably when a business wasn't budging.

Toga worked on romancing Kagome every time InuYasha was in school using that time to woo Kagome. He had hoped that by the time the boy was done he could claim her as a mate. He wondered if Sesshomaru would mind if he joined him in the mating ceremony he was planning. They were hardly done anymore and were difficult to plan quite often more than one had to take place for the official to come. He was sure his son would prefer sharing the day with him than some stranger.

InuYasha was actually enjoying the Hanyu School he was meeting so many others like him most there under magic spells due to unruly behavior. Only a few there were the actual age they were supposed to be. They had classes that taught skills on controlling anger and the demon within. After a few months, he had a great handle on his demon and is anger which mostly came from his demon from the treatment he had received as a pup during times when being a hanyu was viewed as a bad thing.

Kikyo and Miroku had returned from their honeymoon and moved into the shrine with Kagome's mother. They were now holding official wedding ceremonies on the shrine grounds making donations and money flow in like never before. Sota was now in high school and doing well he and InuYasha still got together from time to time to play video games.

Kagome was finding herself falling for InuYasha's father Toga while InuYasha was cute she loved Toga's maturity not to mention that she found him sexy. The man looked sinful in a suit and tie. She knew he was interested in her and she had talked with her Mother several times. Her Mother had told her that she approved of the relationship and that Toga had already asked her permission to court her. Kagome had been worried about the age difference and his experience versus her innocence until her Mother told her that was how it had been between her and Kagome's Father. He was older and more experienced than her Mother had been.
