Takasugi stood at the traffic lights getting slightly confused.
The Shinsengumi is occupied with joining some weird idol fan club competition and Katsura's faction seems to be preoccupied with some lame plans to hijack Shinsengumi's toilet paper supply.
This spells freedom for the wanted leader of Kiheitai as he wandered down the streets of Kabuki-Cho without any form of disguise. Looking up at the huge TV screen, he saw his former comrade going against Tsusengumi.
Whatever happened to the Shiroyasha?
Shouyou-sensei will be really disappointed to see Gintoki doing this kind of nonsense. Then again, Shouyou-sensei advocates 'independent character development'. If he is still around, he might be cheering for the Terakado Tsuu Imperial Guards or he might even join them in their conquest to become Otsuu's official fanclub.
"Hn." he exhales, crossing the road.
"Welcome Sir!" the lady smiles to him as he entered the department. "How can I help you?"
Takasugi pauses to scan through the shop. He has no idea what went wrong with him to decide that he wanted to buy something for Mika.
*Yesterday*
Mika, for the first time, is running around the place with her hair down.
She had used her hairpins as a weapon when she was surrounded by the Shinsengumi last night while she was out to help Bansai. She is starting to wonder why in the world the Kiheitai never bothered with putting on disguises; especially for the higher-ups like Bansai and Makoto. It makes no sense to the ninja that they are running amok without caring that there might be survivors left in the wake of their rampage.
She was out of weapons when she had decided to use the hairpins to attack the last few officers.
Takasugi was pleasantly surprised when he saw her in the garden with her hair down. She looked very much like a lost Tennyo.
"A change of style?"
"Used my hairpins to help Bansai-san last night." she sighs.
"You are not obliged to help out you know, Kaguyahime." He is slightly annoyed by the fact that Mika is always sticking around Bansai. Scratch slightly, he is very annoyed.
"I don't like to impose upon others."
"You aren't." he made a mental note to get something for her.
*Back in the shop*
The saleswoman watches Takasugi as he spaces off. She is expecting the man to know what he wants but apparently, he looks like one of those window shoppers. Well, albeit a rather hot one.
Ignoring all attention on him, Takasugi starts browsing around the area with a group of steadily increasing mesmerized saleswomen gathering behind him. It was a sight to behold as almost a crowd had gathered around the shop to take a look as to what sight it was to behold. By the time he had decided on what he wanted, he turns around to see a horde of smitten women behind him.
Whatever. He is getting something and leaving this place as soon as possible.
His eye(s) fell upon a set of hairpins which bears similar color to Mika's eyes and decided to grab it and leave.
Takasugi had never panicked in his life while making a purchase. Wait, to be more actual, when was the last time he had purchased anything?
He could not remember.
Whatever it is, he is returning to the hideout to pass the item to Mika.
