I know, I'm such an awful person for not updating sooner, but school is starting soon, so hopefully I'll have somewhat of a schedule for updating both of my stories again. Expect another chapter of Cry Me A River up later tonight or tomorrow.

Don't forget to review!

Enjoy! :)

The night with Russ went well, while Natasha and Seeley were watching The Little Mermaid downstairs, Russ met and bonded with Ashton and Alaina. Both of his nieces and his nephew seemed to like him, but he wasn't too sure about Seeley.

Seeley had been acting strangely since Russ had arrived, and Temperance knew it. After Russ had retired to bed, and the kids had been put to sleep, the two were laying in bed together.

"You don't like my brother." Temperance said simply, her back to Seeley.

His eyes snapped open, "Why do you say that?"

"You've been acting strangely ever since he has arrived here."

"No I haven't."

"Yes you have," she said, turning to face him, "you've avoided nearly all social interaction with him, you've barely said hello."

"I do like him, but I just, I can't stop thinking about all the pain he caused you by just leaving so suddenly like that after your parents disappeared. I love you so much, Bones. I saw that pain when it was still pretty raw, and I just don't like looking at him and knowing that he's the one that caused that pain."

"But you helped take away that pain, Booth. Being with you is one of the best things that has happened in my life. By us being bound together by our children, I realized that I couldn't just throw you out if you made a few mistakes, because our relationship is important."

"And it's special." Booth said, cutting her off.

"Yes, it is special. But through the different times in our relationship, good and bad, I learned that even if you did make mistakes, you were still the father of my children, and you were still the man I loved, and I couldn't change that." she said, feeling him snuggle into her, "It's sort of the same thing with my brother. While he did make a mistake or two when it came to he and I's relationship, he is still my older brother. He's the only family I have, and I can't allow myself to loose him because he made a stupid decision. Because had he not made that stupid decision, I wouldn't be laying here with you right now, I wouldn't have the friends that I do, and we wouldn't have Natasha, Ashton, or Alaina. So in a way, he brought us here. And I love him for that."

Booth smiled at her, "That's a very...heartfelt way of putting it Bones." he murmered, "I'm sorry I haven't been more open to him. I'll try again tomorrow baby, I promise."

"Don't call me baby."

"Oh no, you're using your stern mom voice. Someone help me!" Seeley joked.

She smacked his chest playfully, "You know I mean it. I'm a woman, not an infant."

"Trust me, I know that you're a woman." he flirted, "But really Bones, I really am sorry, I'll try harder to be more open with him. I promise."

"It's okay, Booth. I just want him to feel welcome here."

"He will, Bones. I'm sorry I've been such a douche."

"I already accepted your apology, Booth. You don't need to apologize again." she said.

"I know, but I mean it, and I want you to know that I do."

She stared at him for a moment, then leaned in to kiss him.

"I know you mean it," she whispered, "I just really want you two to get along."

He took her in his arms, stroking her back lightly, "We will Bones, I promise."

They couple laid in silence for a while, and soon Seeley could tell by her breathing that Temperance was asleep.

He kissed her hair and eventually drifted off himself, but it took awhile, for his thoughts were worrisome. He wanted Temperance to be happy, so he would try to get a long with her brother, he just wasn't sure how well that would work out.

It was Seeley who woke to Alaina's wails early in the morning. He untangled himself from Temperance, careful not to disturb her. The clock on the bedside table blared three ten at him in neon letters.

Seeley padded down to the nursery, the cries getting more demanding as he neared the door. He pushed it open, then lifted Alaina from her crib.

"Hey baby," he whispered, feeling her bury her tiny face into his neck, "sh...you're okay, daddy's got ya."

He stroked her back lightly, then carried her out of the room. He took the infant downstairs, so she wouldn't wake anyone else in the house.

She was still whining as he carried her into the kitchen, so Seeley grabbed her bottle out of the refrigerator and popped it into the microwave for a few seconds.

"I know you're hungry Ali, just give daddy a second, okay princess?" he said quietly.

He grabbed her bottle and began carrying her into the living room, that's when he noticed Russ sitting on the couch, watching a television program that was playing very softly through the air.

"Hey man, what are you still doing up?" Seeley asked him.

"I'm still on Colorado time, so I'm not tired yet." Russ answered simply, "You're really good with them." he said, pointing to Alaina.

"Yeah well, once you're a dad you'll be the same way."

"Nah, no kids for me. Not really a want I have in my life."

"That's what your sister said too, and look where she's at now." Seeley joked.

"Yeah well," Russ said with a laugh, "Tempe loves kids, she used to babysit all the time when she was younger, but as soon as our parents left she just, decided that she didn't want to have any kids. Obviously she changed her mind."

"There you go baby," Seeley said down to Alaina, giving her the bottle. Looking back up at Russ, he said, "Well I mean, she basically had to change her mind, we're kind of zero for three when it comes to planned kids."

Russ laughed, "Hey man, I'm not judging. I'm just glad that she didn't get knocked up by some asshole who would have left her as soon as he heard she was pregnant. I mean, you love my sister, you love your kids, and you treat them right. Granted, I know a lot of shit went down between you two, but you're here now, and that's all that matters. Because I honestly think that if you would have just packed up and left her completely, there is no way that she would have been able to cope, period. She would have shut herself out emotionally forever."

"I do love your sister Russ, her and our kids are everything to me."

"I know you love them, and I'm actually really thankful for that. You gave her the love that she needed, especially after all the shit that happened to her and our family. You saved her from herself."

"If it wasn't for your sister, I probably wouldn't be here right now. She, and our tiny little family, made me a better person. So I guess, in a way, we saved each other from ourselves, because neither of us cared that the other was broken." Booth said, as he burped Alaina over his shoulder.

Russ nodded, seeming to understand.

Seeley stood up, baby and empty bottle in tow, "I'm going to get her back to bed, then go back myself. Make sure you get yourself some sleep, Russ."

"I will, Booth. Thanks."

Once Seeley had put Alaina back to bed, he got back between his own sheets. Once he was laying down, Temperance rolled over and snuggled into him.

"Where did you go?" she asked groggily.

"Alaina woke up, so I went downstairs and fed her. I also had a talk with your brother."

"You didn't hurt him, did you?"

Seeley laughed, "No Bones, I didn't hurt him." he said, "We just talked for a bit, I like him."

She didn't respond, and soon he heard her breathing even out due to slumber, he kissed her hair, and soon, he too, was asleep.

Important information below!

Don't forget to review! (I only got like 3 for my last chapter, and it made me sad. *Sad face*)

Also, besides a new chapter CMAR, I also think I'm going to somewhat redo the first ten chapter of this story, just change the tone to make it a little more mature. Considering I was just entering the eighth grade when I started writing this, I kind of think the first ten chapters are like, the definition of crap so...yeah. I'll hopefully have those all updated before I update this story again later this week. :)
