The Gift

A few months have passed since the party; Oliver and Felicity were living with each other in the mansion, and were more in love than ever. Ollie was busy getting the mansion ready for Christmas. He was able to get the tree in the formal living room all by himself, even though she offered to help.

That same night, they both decided to decorate the tree. She would hang the ornaments while he hung the light around the fireplace. Oliver realized that she was struggling with some of the higher branches, he decided to give her a lift. When he did so, she let out a little squeal, this made him crack a smile. After about 2 hours, they stood back admiring their work.

"I love you Felicity," he said looking at her with all the desire she had seen before.

"I love you too, Oliver," she said with a slight coo.

"I wanted to give you this, before Christmas," he said as he pulled out a small box from under the tree. She looked at him, very confused.

She opened the box and there was a ring, she looked up at him in complete and utter shock. She cannot believe this is actually happening and right before Christmas.

"Felicity, I knew when I first met you, you saw the good in me. You took me for who I was and was confident enough to be here when I am going through a rough time, and I love you with all my heart."

He got down on one knee, and she can see that he was visibly nervous.

"Felicity, will you be my wife, will you marry me," he asked.

She gasped, the ring was absolutely stunning. She eagerly shook her head and said these words, "Of course, yes I will marry you,".

Then Roy, Thea, Moira and Diggles filed into the living room. This was when they saw the ring on Felicity's finger.

"Congratulations," Thea said exuberantly.

"How about we celebrate with a bottle of champagne," Moira piped up. Diggles went into the other room and grabbed the bottle and the glasses. Roy then poured the glasses and handed them to each one of the members in the room.

"Congratulations, to the new couple," Roy said as glasses started to clink together.

I am going to write the chapter of the wedding soon. But I have to study for my boards
