Fallon: A Story of the Legacy

Chapter Thirty-Six

"You son of a bitch!" Tara exclaimed as she threw down her purse and charged at them.

Tara grabbed Dru by the hair and dragged her away from Jax. She threw Dru onto the floor and punched her. Dru saw stars, but quickly retaliated. Dru hit her in the ribs. When Tara loosened her grip from around her neck, Dru hastily kicked a leg up and wrapped it around Tara's own neck. Dru threw her body weight to the side making Tara fall over. Dru hurriedly went with her trapping the crazy bitch into a submission hold. Her legs were wrapped around Tara's neck choking her, and her vulnerable hand that had been shattered was trapped between her own hands. She twisted the arm making Tara cry out.

"You are one crazy cunt, you know that?" Dru said. She twisted the arm just a little bit more. Tara whimpered. The bitch kicked her feet struggling to get out of the hold. "I can't stand to hear little bitches cry," she muttered as she tightened the hold around Tara's neck. She gagged striving for just one breath.

"Dru!" Jax shouted.

Dru looked up to find that they now had an audience in the doorway. She heard Jax yell at her one more time. The only thing that Dru wanted to do was clamp her legs together and jerk them real hard. It would break Tara's neck instantly. Instead she slackened the grip a bit, but she still held tight to her arm.

"You're lucky I'm not shattering your hand again, bitch. And just in case you didn't realize it, I could break your neck right now. It wouldn't be the first time I've done it this way," Dru warned her. "The next time you touch me I will make good on threats." As much as she wanted to follow through, she couldn't. It wasn't even for Jax that she didn't. It was for Thomas and Abel. They needed their mother. "But one thing I am going to do to show you that I'm serious is this…" Dru broke Tara's forefinger, and she got to hear the bloodcurdling cries.

"Dru! What the—"

"Shut the hell up, Jackson. I'm just proving a point," Dru calmly said. She let go of Tara as quickly as possible and stood up from the floor. Dru gleefully stared down at the brunette. She had been waiting a long time just to get her hands on her. She would've done a lot more than just breaking a finger, but she'd had an audience, and obviously Jax didn't want her to kill her. And then there were Thomas and Abel. 'Damn it! Why did the bitch have to have Jax's children?' she thought.

"Get the fuck out of here, Tara," Dru ordered.

Tara swiftly got up and went to stand in front of Jax. "You stupid piece of shit!" she cried and then proceeded to slap him. Dru didn't dare get in the middle of that one. She watched as Tara ran out of the room as fast as her feet would carry her.

Jax looked back at Dru. As much as he wanted to stay, he had to clean up the mess he just made.

"Go," Tig told him from the doorway. "I'll stay with Dru."

Jax nodded his thanks to him then turned back to Dru. "I'll be right back," he said.

Dru shook her head. "Forget about me. Go console your wife, Jax."

"I'll be back, Dru. We're not done."

"Yes, we are."

Jax heard the finality in her voice, but he swore that nothing was further from the truth. That kiss had just proved it.

Tara was crossing the yard when Jax finally caught up with her. "Tara! Tara! Hey, Tara! What do you—" Jax forced her around to see that she had a gun.

"Stay away from me!" she yelled at him.

"What are you doing with that?" he asked.

"Look what you did to me."

At first, Jax didn't understand what she meant. But the more he stared at her, the clearer it became. He should have never brought her back into this life.

"Oh, God," Tara whimpered. "And Dru…" she paused as she sobbed. "Of course it was Dru." She looked down at the gun in her hand. "What's happening to me?"

Jax didn't know whether she was talking to him or herself. He didn't have an answer anyways.

"What happened to me?" she asked again right before she climbed into her car and drove away.

That night Dru found herself on Gemma's doorstep. As she knocked she thought that maybe it hadn't been a good idea her coming here. But when Gemma opened up the door, all of her doubts just evaporated into thin air.

"May I come in?" Dru asked.

Gemma simply opened the door a little wider showing that Dru was more than welcome in her home. Dru grinned and walked past the older woman. She went into the kitchen and quickly raided the liquor cabinet. She poured herself a glass of whiskey and bummed a cigarette from Gemma. She sat down at the kitchen table and lit the cigarette. She took one long draw off of it and savored the feeling it gave her. It settled her nerves, even if it was only for a few minutes.

Gemma sat down across from her and quickly noticed the bruising on her right cheek. "What happened there?" she asked her.

"Your lovely daughter-in-law happened," Dru replied.

"Jesus!" Gemma exclaimed. "What brought that on?"

"It was probably the fact that she found your son kissing me."

'Well, this is certainly a turn of events,' Gemma thought. "Jackson was kissing you and Tara seen it?"

"Oh, yeah. She seen it all."

"I hope you didn't just let the bitch get away with it."

Dru scoffed. "Uh, no, Aunt Gemma. I broke the cunt's finger."

Gemma chuckled. "That's my girl."

Dru sighed as she took a swig of the whiskey. "So, how was your day?"

"Well, Wendy overdosed today…"
