Chapter Thirty Five – The Cry
The Sandbox
"Come here and stand where I can see you," Hunter said to Hayworth Horace as Austin Aries tried to slip Hayworth the reformatted map detailing the path to a fake treasure chest somewhere in Connecticut; the map actually led to the Atlantic Ocean but Hunter didn't know that.
"Hey dad check this out!" Hayworth said as Austin handed him the map and he showed it to his father. "There's treasure buried somewhere on the Harvard University campus, I think if we work together we can dig it out and find it,"
"Let me see that," Hunter said pushing the map up over his nose. "And you wanted me to stay away from Harvard, I would like to see you dig out this treasure without me son,"
Hayworth laughed behind his hands as Hunter rubbed the top of his head fondly. Hayworth gave Austin Aries the thumbs up, Hunter had fallen for the fake treasure map hook, line and sinker and his first day at Harvard in the Fall would go ahead without a hitch. It would just be Hayworth and Joanie; Hunter would be knee deep in the Atlantic looking for something that didn't exist.
The Sandbox was full of women, which is the reason why Hunter was inside. All the other men were outside having a blast and Hunter was spying on LC's baby shower which was now in full swing. The only reason Hayworth was inside the house was because he had been in his bedroom with Austin Aries drawing up the fake treasure map. LC was having a hard time getting passed the fact that she was having a baby on Sunday. Hopefully the baby will just walk out on their own and she wouldn't have to push.
"I don't even know how to pop a pimple how am I supposed to push out my baby?" LC said to Carla McCool who was gushing over baby clothes with Charlotte and Dan McCool. Thanks to Queen Melina the Divas had all brought something for the baby and when LC saw all the girly clothes laid out in front of her she cried tears of joy over the fact that she was having a girl.
"If your baby is anything like Cheyenne she'll push herself out," Natalya said to LC and the other Divas nodded.
"Yeah she's so strong; maybe your baby girl will be strong too. After all she is half Michaels," Brie Bella said.
"She's also half Helmsley and if she ends up anything like my father she'll be in the womb until Hanukkah," LC said and Hunter objected to that remark and he marched into the living room with Hayworth who was very embarrassed to be in there with all the women and baby clothes.
"I object LC, are you implying that the Helmsleys are some kind of morons?" Hunter asked his daughter.
"No I'm not implying it dad I'm saying it, you are a Bonehead," LC said and the Divas laughed at Hunter.
"Would a Bonehead have found a treasure map that's going to pay for your baby's college tuition?" Hunter said.
"My baby's not going to college; she's coming on the road with me until she's old enough drive a car. No offense Hayworth," LC said to her brother.
"None taken, Aunt Amy already said I could borrow one of hers and drive it around campus," Hayworth replied and the Divas looked at him amazed.
"You know how to drive already?" Charlotte asked Hayworth. "How is that possible?"
"As I was saying before you all started yammering on, Helmsleys are geniuses. Look at my son for example, he got into Harvard University without any help from me, it didn't even matter that he was my son. They took one look at his test scores and said "We want him in our college," so don't you be putting your baby girl down Lisa, that girl's gonna be smart just like the rest of us. If you should be worried about anything, it's the Michaels side of the family. Those Showstoppas can't even tie their own shoelaces let alone get into a great college like Harvard," Hunter said.
"Dad are you forgetting that Cameron is the smart one in our marriage? If you should be concerned about anyone of us it should be me, I'm the dumbest part of this couple," LC said and Hunter gasped.
"LC how could you talk about yourself that way? You're a Helmsley, where's your pride?" Hunter said to his daughter.
"Dad I'm serious I'm not that smart. Cameron's been reading at a college level since we were kids, he's the smart one I'm just the brawny chick with the gorgeous hair," LC said flicking her hair across her shoulders and Hunter smiled down at Hayworth.
"She gets her hair from me, you get your hair from your mother," Hunter said to Hayworth.
"It won't always look dark like that though," Queen Melina said to Hayworth. "Remember the prophecy Trish gave you before Hayworth was born?"
"Something about his hair changing color on his thirteenth birthday right?" Hunter said scratching his head in thought.
"No, not on his thirteenth birthday. Hunter this is why I get so mad at you and Shawn you never listen to me," Trish said annoyed.
"Well technically I shouldn't even be here right now, I should be outside with the rest of the guys so aren't you glad I don't listen?" Hunter said and Trish shook her head.
"Listen to me Hunter and for the love of God remember this because I'm sick and tired of having to repeat myself," Trish said and Hunter shrugged.
"That's all you do is repeat yourself, aren't prophets always supposed to repeat themselves?" Hunter asked and Trish nodded.
"Yes we are because people are just too stubborn to hear it the first time, so listen to me good or I'm going to have Randy wire my mouth shut so I can't speak again. Hayworth is going to leap ahead in time, the reason why he looks like a teenager now is because in the Fall he is going to really be a teenager. He will officially be thirteen years old when he starts Harvard and at that point, his hair will turn blond like yours. The reason why he doesn't act like you now is because this hasn't happened yet but as soon as his hair changes color, Hayworth will talk, think and act just like you," Trish said and Hayworth gasped.
"I'll be a Bonehead!" he cried raking his dark hair in distress.
"Yes you will be, I'm so sorry kid but try not to let it ruin your life. Your father has done pretty well for himself despite being a Bonehead and there's no reason why you can't too," Trish assured Hayworth.
"But I don't want to be Bonehead, I want to be a Brain!" Hayworth said and he ran away crying and Hunter went with him after turning to Trish and scowling at her.
"Thanks a lot Trish you just ruined LC's baby shower with your stupid prophecy, I'm leaving now girls. Try to have fun without me," Hunter said and the Divas, Charlotte and the Three C's waved goodbye to Hunter as he went to console Hayworth.
Outside in the ATM truck the men were having fun until they saw Hayworth coming with tears in his eyes. "I can't be a Bonehead I just can't be, I'm too smart to be dumb, this is a mistake! My hair cannot turn blond on my thirteenth birthday it has to stay dark so I can be smart like mom,"
"You're mom's not smart she's got the worst taste in men," Shawn said and Hunter pointed to his crotch and told Shawn to SUCK IT.
"That's exactly what I'm talking about right there," Hayworth said to everyone. "What kind of grown man points to his crotch and tells his best friend to SUCK IT?! Who does that!?"
"We do that," DX said in unison. "Its makes us who we are, its called having fun Hayworth and you are going to have fun despite being a Bonehead. Life is not about being a Brain, its about making fun of people who have Brains," Shawn explained.
"Yeah son you see people who have Brains tend to be really dull and those are the kind of people you're going to be hanging around with at Harvard. But when you turn thirteen you'll be a Degenerate just like us and the people around you will want to be just like you and you'll be the life of the party," Hunter explained.
"I don't want to be the life of the party I want to graduate as the Harvard Brain, not the Harvard Bonehead!" Hayworth said firmly. "My life is over and I'm not even thirty!"
"How old are you?" Zack Ryder asked Hayworth.
"Technically I'm about seven months old," Hayworth replied.
"And in two months he'll be thirteen," Hunter added.
"That sounds about right," the Miz said shaking his head thinking how crazy that was. "Randy said you were special,"
"I am special and I want to stay special, I can't end up like you dad. You're the most stupid moron I know," Hayworth said to Hunter.
"Why thank you son and in a few months you'll be stupid moron just like your old man, we're going to kill at Harvard! Now all I have to do is convince Shawn to help us dig out this treasure and that'll be day one, then we can decide what we do on day two, we can be like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in Good Will Hunting!" Hunter said and Hayworth's face brightened at the mention of the treasure map.
"Hey why don't you both dig up the treasure and let me socialize with Remi and Angelo Jericho? I'm sure you two are more than capable of digging up the campus on your own," Hayworth said and DX frowned at him.
"Son if I didn't know better I'd say you were trying to get rid of us," Hunter said.
"Well you don't know better, you're a stupid moron remember?" Hayworth said.
"No I wasn't listening, what did you say before I started talking? Something about spending time with Shawn," Hunter said and Hayworth sighed and turned to Austin Aries.
"Don't worry kid, by the time your old man finds out that map leads to the Atlantic, he'll be banned from the campus and you can enjoy your first year at Harvard with no DX interference," Austin Aries assured Hayworth.
"That's the least of my problems, after Fall I'm going to be a Bonehead just like him, unless I die before I turn thirteen. I'd be the smartest twelve year-old at Harvard, yeah I can live with that. Anything's better than living out this nightmare of a prophecy!" Hayworth said and Austin hugged him much to Hunter's concern.
"Get away from my son Austin, if you want a kid go get Awesome Kong pregnant," Hunter said defensively.
"Why Kong?" Kofi Kingston asked Hunter.
"Because then he could call the kid Awesome Aries, or Awesome Austin, you know keep that whole double A thing going," Hunter replied and the WWE roster looked at Hayworth with pity.
"You're right kid, hope to die before your thirteenth birthday. If I was a dumb as your father I wouldn't want to live either," Kane said as Hunter hugged his son and his treasure map, they along with LC, Joanie and his future grandchild were the most important things in his life right now.
One of those important things was in the Sandbox glowing, LC looked like a candle and she suddenly lit up the whole room.
"LC you're glowing, you look like human candle," Charlotte said to her and the Divas noticed how she was radiating like a star.
"Somebody get Cameron I don't know if this is normal and I need him to know what's going on," LC said and Carla, Charlene and Cassidy ran outside and hollered for Cameron to come inside.
When Cameron came into the Sandbox and saw LC glowing he knew that something Amazing was happening.
"LC the baby is making you glow," Cameron said.
"I've been glowing for weeks but not like this, what's happening to me?" LC asked her husband and he held her hand gently.
"The light is coming from the baby," Cameron explained. "She's lighting you up from the inside,"
"She is? But why, does it mean she needs help what does it mean?" LC asked Cameron.
"Its time for her to shine, you're going to give birth in a few days. This is just her way of letting you know that she's coming," Cameron told LC and the Divas looked at LC in awe.
"Wow," they said together.
"I cannot wait to see what this baby brings to the already multi Gifted DX family," Carla McCool said and the other C's nodded with her in agreement.
"Whatever the baby has it is going to be Amazing," Charlotte said and everyone admired LC who lit up the entire Sandbox so much so that the men outside looked at the house as each window lit up.
"Wow look at that," Big E. Langston said pointing to the Sandbox and everyone looked up at the house.
"Do you think we should go check it out?" Shawn asked Hunter.
"No it could be the Angel Rebecca, you stay out here I'll go check it out," Hunter said and Randy stopped Hunter.
"Its not the Angel Rebecca, LC's just giving us a preview of what's to come. You ain't never gonna see anything like what you see when that baby girl comes into this world guys," Randy assured DX and Shawn and Hunter rubbed their hands together with eager anticipation.
"I just hope Jericho doesn't show up and screw up LC and Cameron's big day," Shawn said and everyone groaned at the mention of Chris Jericho.
"Don't worry about Jericho, Majesty have got him exactly where they want him and this time there's not going to be anyone to stop them from putting him back in Hell," Randy assured DX.
DX blew a sigh of relief and thanked God that Majesty were getting rid of Chris Jericho for good. It was one less problem for the DX family to worry about, there was one more problem but for now Randy kept that one to himself.
