Belsavis, the Minimal Security Sector
Salute, Tishujen!
I am relieved to hear that you have made peace with your emotions. Corso Riggs is truly a wonderful man. Be kind to him, Tishujen.
The matters on Belsavis are proceeding in a fashion that reminds me of your adventures. It gives me heart that you seem to always come on top. To start with, I have been marked as a Level 10 Escapee by the traitorous Commander Geland! In my entire life I have not broken a single rule, law or regulation!
This is a strange experience, the entire prison put on the alert to hunt me down. Zenith chuckled coldly. I disliked it at the time, but now… I wish he would do so again, instead of the scowl that twists his features every time he glances at me. Once we disabled security sent after us, and established a communication with a mysterious ally, Zenith received a holocall.
Then he turned to me: "The votes are in. The people of Balmorra loved the traitors dragged back in chains. I've won over Friskin by a large margin." I have congratulated him on his success, and that's when he fairly snarled that he was unaware how well I could lie and hide my surprise, seeing I have done everything to forestall his success. He's asked me point-blank if my tears in the Fortress were a lie as well, or I simply have a preference for the defeated and dying heroes.
I have tried to explain how rare a luxury it is for a Jedi to put a personal emotion before the duty; how my actions mattered not in the Fortress, and how it was different with Balmorra's elections. He waved it off. When Geland trapped us in the Psychiatric Ward upgrading my code from a Level 10 to a Level 10 Maniac with the delusions of being a Jedi (a Sith with a sense of humor?), Zenith told the droid that the patient's delusions where reality in her mind, and therefore a reality, unless it can prove it otherwise. Interestingly enough, this statement broke the droid's logical loop, and rebooted the machine, allowing us to escape without a battle.
At length, we ran Commander Geland down. He was not making jokes any longer before he died.
One of the most amazing things has happened to me then. We witnessed the reconciliation between the most fair-minded faction among the Esh-Kha and our mysterious Guide. He was a Rakata who protested the Esh-Kha's imprisonment back when it was decided by the Rakata. It is at the moments like that I cherish my calling as a Jedi.
And yet, seeing the two species shake hands after thousands of years of strife made me hopeful for reconciliation on a more private level. However, Zenith appeared unmoved, and his scowl is ever-present. It will be a pity if he leaves to assume his new post on Balmorra with bad blood left between us.
May the Force be with yoo, Tishujen, and Corso Riggs, wherever you are,
Quinly
P.S: Perhaps I did break a rule after all. Attachments are not allowed to a Jedi. I should meditate on it. But a death sentence, and a Level 10 one, for a small misstep like that?
P.P.S: There is an emergency situation involving Tobias Grell. Be well, Tishujen!
