Leigh, Adam, Bree, Izzy, Chase and Leo were all marveling at the brand new motorcycle that was sat in the lab as Mr Davenport entered the room.
"So, what do you think?" Davenport questioned, the teens' eyes looking him over with scrunched up faces.
"I think you're begging for a gang of bikers to do rotten things to you." Chase chuckled before Davenport frowned at him.
"Are those my pants?" Bree questioned, a tone of disgust lacing her voice.
"Not anymore." Davenport stated as Izzy let out a small laugh and Bree looked at her dad wide eyed. "I call her the "Davencycle" Davenport said as he gestured towards the motorcycle. "She's got auto-pilot, laser guided weapon systems, and a tiny little flower vase, to brighten your day." He smiled as he took a small fake flower and put it in the little vase.
"Haha, cool. Throw in a tiny basket for Chase to ride in, and we're good to go." Adam laughed before Chase sent his brother a soft glare.
"Hello? Anybody home?" A voice questioned, causing the group to turn to the source of
the voice and spotting Douglas on a monitor.
"Wow, couldn't even show up in person like a real man." Leigh growled as her eyes glowed green.
"Donnie, call off the attack dog." Douglas said to his brother before Leigh went to lunge at the screen. Adam quickly wrapped an arm around Leigh and effortlessly pulled her back.
"I'm gonna kill him!" Leigh yelled as she struggled against Adam's hold.
"Fuck off Douglas." Adam spat before Douglas looked at Adam with a slightly shocked
look.
"Ouch, she's rubbed off on you." Douglas laughed before looking at his brother. "Listen, I don't have a lot of time. Krane'll be back soon. He... went out to get his head waxed." Douglas explained before Davenport rolled his eyes.
"Goodbye Douglas." Davenport stated as he reached for a remote to disconnect the call.
"Wait! Wait, wait, wait!" Douglas said, stopping his brother. "This isn't another trick!" He
stated. "You're in danger. Krane has completely lost it!" Douglas exclaimed.
"Oh, wow! So, the guy who keeps implanting himself with bionics is unstable? Who could have seen that coming?" Chase asked sarcastically.
"I'm serious!" Douglas stated. "Krane is using my technology to give himself new abilities I didn't even know were possible! He's a ticking time-bomb, and he sees you four as a threat!" Douglas exclaimed as he gestured towards, Adam, Bree, Chase and Leigh.
"Hey!" Leo exclaimed. "What about me?!" He questioned. "I'm dangerous." Leo tacked on before going into a fighting pose.
"Yeah, there's always a chance you might faint on somebody." Douglas stated.
"Leave him alone!" Leigh yelled as Adam tightened his grip on her.
"I'm trying to help you!" Douglas yelled as Leigh struggled against Adam.
"Stop fighting." Adam hissed at Leigh. "I don't want to hurt you." He added before Leigh
rolled her eyes.
"I'm hardly the one who'll be getting hurt." Leigh growled before Douglas looked at Izzy.
"Isabelle, you've been around Krane." Douglas stated. "You have to back me up here." Douglas pleaded.
"You kidnapped me, locked me up in a cell on a deserted island and threatened me so i'd do your dirty work." Izzy spat.
"You say that like its a bad thing." Douglas said before Izzy rolled her eyes.
"Look, Adam, Bree, Chase, Leigh... and Leo," Mr Davenport added hesitantly "...can handle anything. And after all you've done to this family, why should we trust you?" Davenport questioned before Douglas looked at his brother confused.
"Well, uh.." Douglas started. "Give me a minute." Douglas said, trying to come up with an answer.
"Take your time." Davenport said before disconnecting the call. "Douglas is up to something." Davenport said.
"What gave it away?" Leigh questioned as Adam began to lessen his grip around her. Davenport sent Leigh a small glare.
"He's obviously trying to distract us with this Krane guy" Davenport said.
"Well, maybe so, but what if he's telling the truth?" Chase questioned.
"Yeah. We've seen Krane face-to-face. He is a total creep." Bree added before Izzy nodded.
"Krane is a pretty weird guy." Izzy said. "Not the craziest thing i've ever heard." She added before Mr Davenport shook his head.
"We need to be on high alert." Davenport stated. "Izzy, you're staying with us while
Amber and her dad visit her mom." He added. "I don't want you in that big house by yourself." He said before Izzy nodded. "My brother is the real threat here." Davenport stated before walking out of the lab.
*********Izzy sighed as she dipped her paintbrush in more paint before looking up at the sunset before her. She was never quick enough at capturing these outdoor scenes, the lighting in her paintings always changing and setting the whole picture off.
"That's really good." A voice said behind her. Izzy felt herself jump before turning and seeing Chase hovering over her shoulder.
"Fuck Chase!" Izzy sighed. "You scared me." She told him before Chase sat down next to her out on the Davenport's deck. Izzy pulled out one of her earbuds. "Did you need something?" Izzy questioned, not appreciating Chase intruding on her painting time. It was something she did to destress and she liked to do it alone.
"Everyone else is downstairs and they're being loud and i just wanted to get away from it." Chase explained as Izzy wished he would get away somewhere else. "What are you listening to?" Chase questioned.
"Fools by Troye Sivan." Izzy said. "It's on this playlist that Leigh sent me." she added. "I would never expect Leigh to like some of this stuff." Izzy added as she went back to her painting.
"Yeah, her music taste is pretty broad." Chase mused. "She has a whole playlist full of soft piano music." He added with a soft laugh.
"Really?" Izzy questioned, not looking up from her painting.
"Yeah, she's so obsessed with 'Claire De Lune' that Adam's started humming it while he makes coffee." Chase chuckled.
"It's a good piece, i don't blame Leigh for liking it so much." Izzy said before Chase nodded. Izzy tried to go back to painting but the feeling of Chase sitting next to her was distracting. "Do you think Krane is really working on his own now?" Chase questioned "Or is Douglas trying to mess with us." Chase questioned before Izzy shrugged.
"I think it's Krane." Izzy stated. "The dude is power hungry," she added. "He'll do whatever it takes to be on top and i have a feeling taking you guys out is on that list." She told him before Chase nodded.
"So you don't think Douglas is trying to hurt us?" Chase questioned before Izzy
Shrugged.
"I don't know why you're really asking me." Izzy told him.
"You've been around the two long enough, you've seen their personalities." Chase said.
"You can think about this rationally without your emotions getting in the way." He added.
"You mean unlike Leigh?" Izzy questioned.
"She's going on about how she's going to snap Douglas' neck." Chase stated before running a hand through his hair.
"I don't blame her." Izzy sighed. "I'd want to snap his neck too if he did to me what he did to her." She said.
"Yeah, but she doesn't think about things rationally, it's always about how she feels." Chase stated. "Its irritating." He sighed before Izzy nodded.
"I understand that." Izzy said before letting out a hefty sigh and began to gather her painting supplies.
"What are you doing?" Chase asked, slightly frantic.
"There's no more sunset Chase." Izzy pointed out as she brought his attention towards
the horizon, which was now the deep blue of the night sky fading into the last traces of purple left from the sun. he spotted a few stars beginning to appear as well.
"But.. your painting isn't finished." Chase told her before Izzy shrugged.
"Happens." She told him with a small smile before picking up the rest of her tools and pulling herself off the floor of the deck. "Good night Chase." She said softly before making her way back into the house. Chase sighed before rubbing a hand over his face. He hated how nervous he got around Izzy. He thought she was so pretty and smart and he wanted so badly not to fuck things up with her. He found her demeanor calming and it was refreshing compared to everyone else he was usually surrounded by. Chase sighed before standing up and pulling himself back inside and towards the chaos that was ensuing downstairs.

Chase, Adam, Bree and Leigh were all down in the lab getting ready for school as Davenport walked in with a smile on his face.
"Great news guys." Davenport stated as the teens looked up.
"We're kicking Chase off the team?" Adam questioned as Chase looked at his brother with an offended look.
"No-" Davenport started before Leigh cut him off.
"Ooooh! You're gonna finally let me get a hedgehog!" Leigh exclaimed before Davenport shook his head.
"Oh! We're getting a dog!" Adam yelled before jumping up and high fiving his girlfriend.
"No! Will you two knock it off?" Davenport questioned before Leigh frowned.
"Wait, so... no dog?" Adam questioned.
"No!" Davenport yelled before Adam frowned and joined his sulking girlfriend on the small bench in the lab. "Until I figure out what's going on with Douglas, nobody's going to school." He said before earning cheers from Adam, Bree and Leigh.
"Aw, no way! I'm gonna miss my chemistry test!" Chase exclaimed with a pout before Bree looked at her brother with a crinkled nose.
"And just when i thought you couldn't get any more lame." Bree told her brother, who frowned at her.
"Wait, Izzy and Leo already left." Leigh pointed out.
"I sent Tasha to pick them up." Davenport said. "And i called Robert so he can take necessary precautions in protecting himself and Amber while their in New York." he added. "In the meantime, we have a new state of the art security fence. Capable of withstanding any threat, even bionic ones." He explained as he led the four teens towards one of the entry ways into the lab. "Behold, the-" Davenport started before Bree cut him off.
"Wait, let me guess." She said. "The DavenFence!" She exclaimed, trying to mimic Davenport's voice.
"No, that's lame." Davenport told her. "This is the new cyber security perimeter DavenWall!" Davenport said, emphasizing the word 'wall'. "I control it remotely from my wrist." He explained before pressing his thumb to the small screen on his watch.
"Lab security perimeter engaged." a robotic voice echoed through the lab, earning impressed looks from the bionic teens.
"Cool!" Adam said before Davenport nodded.
"Yeah, and this little baby can only be turned on and off using my own personal thumbprint." he added as he held up his thumb.
"Mr. Davenport, I applaud your efforts but I can easily break out of this thing by using my fingerprint recognition app." Chase told him before Leigh nodded.
"Yeah, i can just geo leap in and out of here." Leigh pointed out.
"Uh, no." Davenport said as he pointed to Chase. "And no." He said as he pointed to
Leigh. "Chase, I removed my fingerprints from your database." Davenport told him before he looked at Leigh. "And i programmed this fence to block the geo leaping capabilities on your chip." Davenport told Leigh who frowned at him.
"Wait so i'm stuck in here?" Leigh questioned before Davenport nodded. "Ugh i'd rather go to school." Leigh huffed before crossing her arms.
"Yeah, what are we supposed to do in here?" Adam questioned before Davenport
shrugged.
"Not my problem." Davenport said before holding his thumb down on the scanner, walking through the wall and exiting the lab.
"Why aren't they here yet" Izzy asked Leo, curious where her bionic friends were.
"Not sure." Leo sighed before the two turned a corner, only to be faced with Douglas. Leo and Izzy both let out a yell.
"Back off spikey!" Izzy stated as she held her book out in front of her. "I'll call Leigh and have her snap your neck!" she added before Leo nodded and stepped slightly behind Izzy.
"Yeah, what she said." Leo tacked on before lightly pushing Izzy in front of him.
"Please, Leigh doesn't scare me." Douglas scoffed. "She's all bark, no bite." he added.
"No, shes serious about ripping your throat out." Leo told him before Douglas frowned.
"Shit, i might have to go deeper into hiding." Douglas sighed before shaking the thought off. "Listen-" Douglas started before Izzy cut him off.
"You've tried to kill Leo and you kidnapped me!" Izzy exclaimed. "Why the hell should we listen to what you have to say?" Izzy questioned.
"Because you all are in danger." Douglas stated before he looked between the two teens. "Izzy, you've been around Krane." Douglas pointed out. "You know how he behaves, how power hungry he is." Douglas added before looking at Leo. "And you're a smart kid Leo, you have to believe me." Douglas pleaded.
"Alright." Leo sighed before he looked at Izzy.
"Talk." Izzy stated.
"Krane and I used to be on the same page. Gettin' my kids back, use 'em to rob banks, pull scams, ya' know, garden variety bad guy stuff. But I, was never gonna hurt them." Douglas explained before Leo looked at Douglas in outrage.
"Marcus tried to kill me!" Leo exclaimed before Douglas shrugged.
"I said them!" Douglas pointed out. "Listen, Krane is completely out of control. He's got a serious score to settle with the world and now he has the bionics to do it!" Douglas said.
"Wow, i wonder who's fault that is." Izzy stated before Douglas sent her a small glare.
"What does Krane need Adam, Bree, Chase and Leigh for if he has all these bionics?"
Leo questioned.
"He doesn't want them, he wants to destroy them." Douglas clarified, causing Izzy and
Leo to share worried looks "They're the only ones who can stand in his way!" Douglas continued. "Look, I'm scared, and you guys should be too." Douglas told the two teens before pulling out his phone. "Watch this." He said as he pulled up a video of Douglas dancing with a few other people. " Oh, sorry, that's my 40th birthday party, we had a burger truck!" Douglas laughed before swiping through his phone before pulling up the video he was looking for. Izzy and Leo's eyes widened as they watched Krane yell as he had large beams of light coming from his hands.
"Yeah, that dude's no joke." Leo stated.
"What do you want us to do about it?" Izzy questioned. "We're the two people you don't
want to send into battle." Izzy said as Leo looked at her, clearly offended.
"Talk to my brother Leo." Douglas said. "He'll believe you. I gotta get back before Krane blows a gasket." He added as he began to take off. " Literally, he has one right under here." Douglas said as he pointed to his collarbone before exiting the school, leaving the two teens wondering what to do next.
**********Leigh laid on the floor of the lab as Adam threw items against the Davenwall.
"Awesome! Uh, let's see what else I can throw." Adam said as he looked around the room before his eyes landed on Chase
"Don't even think about it." Chase stated before Adam frowned.
"I'm bored!" Leigh huffed from her spot on the floor.
"We know." Bree sighed, becoming annoyed with Leigh's whining. Leigh was about to
reply when Davenport walked into the lab.
"Can we leave now" Leigh questioned as she sat up.
"No." Davenport said before the brunette huffed and threw herself back onto the floor. "Something's wrong." He sighed before Leigh sat back up. "Leo just left a message that Douglas showed up at school and now I can't find him, Izzy or Tasha." Davenport explained as Adam helped Leigh off the floor.
"Oh, well I'm sure we'll find them if you keep us locked down here in the basement." Bree
stated sarcastically before the large monitor in the lab pulled up a live feed.
"Help!" Izzy yelled as She, Tasha and Leo all struggled against their restraints.
"Someone please help us!" Tasha yelled before Davenport shook his head.
"I knew it! Douglas has them!" he exclaimed before a bald man walked into frame.
"Guess again." He stated as Leigh looked him over.
"Who the fuck are you metal face?" Leigh questioned before Krane looked her over.
"You must be Leigh," He chuckled. "The loudmouth science experiment with anger
Issues." He added as Leigh grit her teeth. Davenport put himself in front of the teen before facing Krane.
"So you're Victor Krane." Davenport stated. "Love the face, do you get all the premium channels on that thing or?" He asked as he gestured to Krane's face.
"Enough! Hand over the bionic kids." Krane growled before Davenport let out a nervous
Chuckle.
"Not gonna happen." Davenport told him.
"This isn't a game." Krane stated. "I've sent you my coordinates, they have ten minutes
to get here, or I'll downsize your family." He explained.
"Fucking touch them-" Leigh started before the screen went black. Chase made his way over towards the control panel and picked up a tablet.
"I got him, he's at the corner of Prescott and Maple." Chase said.
"Let's go!" Bree stated as the four teens went to gear up.
"No!" Davenport yelled. "There's too many unknowns with this Krane guy. This one I do
alone." He said before Leigh looked at him incredulously.
"Are you fucking insane?" Leigh questioned.
" if this guy is too dangerous for us, then how are you gonna beat him?" Adam questioned.
"With this." Davenport said as he held up his arm and a small weapon extended from the metal band around his wrist. "My thermal blaster." He stated. "Trust me, you do not wanna be on the wrong end of this baby." He said before realizing the weapon was turned in the wrong direction. He quickly turned it so it was facing away from him before looking back at the four teens. "This is the most powerful weapon that I've ever created. It's like carrying around a lightning bolt, it will fry Krane's circuits for good." He explained before Leigh shook head.
"No, you're not going anywhere." She stated.
"Mr. Davenport, Leigh's right." Chase said. "you can't go alone. Krane is a powerhouse,"
Chase pointed out. "he's the toughest enemy we've ever faced!" He added.
"And without my speed you'll never get there in time." Bree said.
"My Davencycle will get me there in plenty of time. I'll have Leo and Tasha home by dinner!" He told the teens before going to exit the lab. Leigh let out a long breath before grabbing Mr Davenport in a headlock. She maneuvered his arms so his thumb was on the small scanner on his wrist before pushing him and herself out of the lab before letting him go.
" What are you doing?" Bree questioned, slightly panicked.
"Saving Tasha, Leo and Izzy." Leigh stated before Adam ran up to the davenwall.
"Leigh this guy is dangerous!" Adam exclaimed.
"So am i!" Leigh yelled, her eyes flashing green before geo leaping out of the lab. Davenport stood in shock as he looked at his three kids.
"I'll get her back home." he said before taking off after her.
**********Tasha struggled as Krane pushed her, Leo and Izzy towards a large metal box. Izzy felt
tears prick at her eyes as she thought about being locked up again.
"Ya' know, I am a fairly well-known TV personality and this could bring a lotta heat in your way." Tasha stated as Krane shoved the three into the box.
"I've seen you reporting! I'm doing the world a favor!" Krane said before closing the door to the box.
"Let us out!" Leo exclaimed as Izzy chewed on her lip. Tasha pulled her son away from the glass window on the door of the metal cell.
"Adam, Bree, Leigh and Chase will be here any minute and they will take care of you!" Tasha yelled.
"No, they won't." Krane stated "Your egocentric husband will try to be a hero and play right into my hands." He explained before Leigh appeared in the industrial lab causing Krane to let out a deep chuckle.
"Wow, this is a surprise." He smiled as he saw the tiny brunette in his lair.
"Well at least you got to see something pretty before you drop dead." Leigh stated as her
eyes flashed green. Krane rolled his eyes before throwing a bright orange orb at Leigh, who quickly geo leaped and dodged it. Leigh appeared behind him before hopping onto his back, her hands lighting up a bright green as she did. Krane yelled out in pain before using his molecular kinesis to throw Leigh off of him. Leigh landed on the floor before pulling herself up.
"It's so cute how you think you can take me." Krane laughed before Leigh clenched her fist and sent him a hardened glare. Krane's eye twitched before his face slowly began to contort in pain. Leigh continued her hardened stare, almost as if she was in a trance. Leo, Tasha and Izzy stared in horror from the large metal box Krane had locked them in as Leigh sent Krane to his knees simply by looking at him. Krane clutched his head, trying to stifle painful yells. The door behind Leigh burst open breaking Leigh out of her trance. She turned around to see Mr Davenport before Krane stood up and used his molecular kinesis to throw her across the room, causing Leigh to slam into the wall and fall to the floor unconscious. Davenport quickly launched his thermal blaster and Krane fell due to the blow. Krane put up his hand to shield himself from the beam of the blaster before beginning to recover from the initial hit. Krane stood up and began to easily withstand the beam from the thermal blaster.
"What's happening?!" Izzy asked from the metal box as she watched Krane seem to absorb the beam from the thermal blaster.
"I don't know how he's doing it but he's draining all the power from my blaster!"
Davenport exclaimed before the thermal blaster's beam dissipated leaving Davenport's blaster useless. Davenport tapped on the device on his wrist, realizing it was dead. "Okay, well, that was the main thrust of my plan." Davenport said before going into a fighting stance. "I guess it's gonna be hand-to-hand combat!" He said before Izzy sighed.
"We're gonna die." She said helplessly as she leaned against Tasha. Krane walked towards Davenport who went to throw a punch before Krane easily stopped him with his molecular kinesis, pushing Davenport closer towards the concrete floor.
"You blocked me outta the lab with your little security fence." Krane stated. "Turn it off!"
He yelled as Davenport glared at him.
"Never!" Davenport growled before Krane pushed him to the floor.
"I figured you'd say that," Krane said as he stepped away from Davenport and pulled a small remote from his pocket. "so I'm gonna give you a choice. Adam, Bree and Chase-" He started before looking at Leo, Tasha and Izzy " -or them. It's up to you." Krane said as he looked back at Davenport.
"What about Leigh?" Leo questioned.
"I already took out your little bionic mutant." Krane spat as he looked at Leigh's unconscious body on the floor of his liar. "It's your choice." Krane told Davenport.
"I'll never make that choice." Davenport stated before Krane pushed a small button on
the remote on his hand. Bright red lights lit up the inside of the metal cell that Izzy, Leo and Tasha were confined in, a loud humming accompanying the lights.
"What was that?" Izzy asked.
"An exothermic energy field. It is like a microwave." Krane explained. "Good for chicken."
He mused before pausing to look at Davenport. "Bad for humans." He added as Davenport stood up. "They should be well done in about... six minutes." Krane added as panic set in on Tasha, Izzy and Leo's faces.
"Just let them go, take me instead!" Davenport pleaded.
"That wouldn't be as much fun." Krane chuckled. "But you can stop this. All you gotta do is turn off the security perimeter." He said as Davenport tried to think of a way out of the situation "Tick-tock." Krane added before Izzy shook her head and pushed her way to the front of the cell.
"I'm not dying in a metal box because some psychotic old man is having a midlife crisis!" Izzy exclaimed before Krane scoffed.
"Please, you'll be sobbing in a couple of minutes," He sighed before Tasha huffed.
"Donald do something!" She yelled frantically.
"Donald do something!" Tasha exclaimed "Let them go!" Davenport exclaimed. "They have nothing to do with this!" he added before Krane frowned.
"And, yet, they seem to have everything to do with it." Krane stated.
"Don't give in, Big D! We can take it!" Leo exclaimed as Krane looked over at the boy in the cell.
"Really?" Krane questioned as he turned the heat up in the cell
"Stop talking!" Izzy yelled as she pulled at her shirt, the heat in the metal cell becoming overwhelming.
"You're running out of time!" Krane yelled before Mr Davenport looked at his suffering family before grabbing Krane's wrist.
"Just stop!" Davenport yelled, trying to reach for the remote to the device before Krane used his molecular kinesis to strike Davenport down.
"I thought you were smarter at this." Krane told Davenport. "You will never beat me. Give me Adam, Bree and Chase or you will lose everything." Krane stated as Leigh began to regain consciousness. She struggled to quietly pull herself up before a loud beeping sounded through the lair. "What was that?" Krane questioned, freeing Davenport from his hold.
"Nothing." Davenport said as he looked at his wrist. "My fantasy football team is winning." He chuckled nervously before pressing at the small touch pad on his wrist.
"Lab security perimeter disengaged." A robotic voice echoed before Izzy and Leo exchanged shocked looks.
"Why'd you turn it off?" Leo questioned.
"I didn't!" Davenport yelled. "It's okay, I can rearm it from here." Davenport said before
frantically pressing at the touch pad on his wrist.
"Too late." Krane laughed.
"No!" Leigh yelled as she lunged at Krane before he geo leaped away. Leigh groaned as she hit the floor where Krane stood. "Fuck." She mumbled as Davenport helped her up.
"Oh thank god you're okay." Davenport said before looking at the disheveled brunette. "What the hell were you thinking?" Davenport questioned angrily.
"That i had to protect my family." Leigh stated, Davenport was about to respond before Izzy interrupted the two.
"Stop talking and get us out of here!" Izzy exclaimed, clearly in distress.
"Leigh! Get us out!" Leo exclaimed as Leigh looked lost.
"My bionics will either electrocute you or burn off your skin!" Leigh exclaimed.
"Hurry!" Tasha pleaded. "I can't take much more." She said helplessly before Davenport began rummaging through the lair.
"What kind of evil villain's lair doesn't have a large device for cutting metal?" He sighed.
"Use your thermal blaster!" Izzy said before Davenport shook his head.
"Krane drained the battery!" Davenport reminded her before Leigh looked at him
Curiously.
"So let's charge it." Leigh stated before Davenport looked at her like she was crazy.
"Oh yeah, let me just go get the charger cord and plug it in." Davenport stated sarcastically.
"No." Leigh stated before she flicked her hand and generated sparks in her palm. "Let's give it a boost." Leigh stated before Davenport nodded.
"Good idea!" Davenport said as he held the blaster towards Leigh. "And if I reverse the polarity, it'll pull the heat from the cube and burn a hole in the door!" He added before turning a knob on the blaster. Leigh laid her hand over the blaster causing the device to light up and begin to pull heat from the metal cell.
"Its working!" Leigh stated as a large hole began to form in the cell. She pulled her hand off and revealed a giant gaping hole in the metal cell!
"We're free!" Leo exclaimed as he and Tasha exited the cell, Izzy following close behind. Leigh pulled Izzy into a hug while Donald hugged his wife and stepson.
"What about Adam, Bree and Chase?" Leo questioned before Leigh pulled everyone close.
"Hold on." She stated before geo leaping, the family now were standing in the lab. The group saw Adam, Bree and Chase on one side of the lab and douglas hovering over Krane with a large weapon on the other. Douglas turned to see what the commotion was before turning back to Krane and seeing he had geo leaped away.
"What the fuck! You let him get away!" Douglas yelled before Leigh moved her hand and sent Douglas flying across the lab and forcefully hitting a wall.
"Leigh!" Adam yelled, going to pull her back before she geo leaped out of his reach and reappeared where douglas was hunched over on the floor. Leigh grabbed Douglas by his shirt before slamming him against the wall. She wrapped her hand around his neck.
"How poetic." Leigh mumbled as her eyes flashed green. "Dr frankenstein meets his end at the hands of his own monster." Leigh growled, Douglas gasping for air as Leigh dug her fingernails into his neck. Bree super sped and pushed Leigh away from douglas before Adam grabbed her. "Let me fucking end him!" Leigh yelled as she thrashed in Adams hold. Douglas pulled himself up before Davenport cornered him, thermal blaster pointed in Douglas' direction.
"Get out of my house!" Davenport yelled.
"No!" Chase yelled as he ran towards Davenport. "Mr. Davenport, it's okay! Douglas saved us from Krane!" Chase explained before Davenport scoffed.
"Saved you?" Davenport questioned. "He's the reason we're having to fight Krane in the first place!" Davenport yelled before looking back at his brother.
"Let me snap his neck!" Leigh growled as she struggled in Adam's hold, her feet kicking in the air.
"Don, I can explain!" Douglas stated before Davenport shook his head.
"You're lucky I'm letting you go." Davenport growled. "Now get outta here before I
change my mind and let Leigh take care of you." Davenport stated harshly. Douglas nodded before backing out of the lab once he was gone, Adam let go of Leigh who whipped around and punched his arm.
"What the fuck were you doing?" Leigh exclaimed.
"You're not a killer Leigh!" Adam exclaimed.
"I don't care!" Leigh yelled. "I want the nightmares to stop." Leigh told him harshly.
"Killing Douglas isn't going to make you feel better." Chase said as he put a hand on his
brothers shoulder. "It won't make the nightmares go away." Chase told her calmly. "It won't solve anything and it's not who you are." he said before Leigh shook her head and walked out of the lab.
************Adam walked out onto the back deck and found Leigh sitting near the edge of the deck, feet dangling off the edge and lighting a cigarette.
"Since when do you smoke?" Adam asked before Leigh turned and saw Adam. Leigh put her lighter down and pulled the cigarette from her lips.
"Since seventh grade." Leigh stated. "I got a B on my math test and my dad spent twenty minutes telling me what a stupid piece of shit i was." Leigh sighed. "So i ran off, and ran into Jason Wheeler." Leigh explained. "He offered me a smoke." she said before taking a puff from the cigarette. She scrunched up her nose before blowing the smoke into the air. "I forgot how much i hate these things." Leigh stated before Adam pulled it out of her hand and crushed it in his palm.
"Those are bad for you." he stated before Leigh shrugged, Adam sat himself down next to Leigh before tossing the crumpled cigarette off the deck. "You alright?" he asked as Leigh looked him with a gentle glare.
"What do you think?" Leigh said before Adam pulled her under his arm.
"I'm surprised you're so affectionate while being so pissed at me." Leigh chuckled breathily. Adam shrugged.
"I won't be mad forever." He sighed. "I just hate when you act like that." He explained as he looked at the view the deck offered. "But i know that's when you need comfort the most." He explained before Leigh leaned against him.
"I don't deserve you." Leigh stated before Adam rolled his eyes.
"You can't let your anger get like that anymore." Adam told Leigh before she let out a hefty sigh. "I'm serious Leigh, you can't keep holding on to all that bad stuff." He said. "It's not good for you or your bionics." He explained.
"I get it." Leigh sighed. "Someone could get hurt." She stated before Adam took her face between his hands.
"You could get hurt." he stated. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt but you're my main priority." He told her before kissing her forehead and pulling her into his chest. "And please stop throwing yourself into these dangerous situations." he pleaded as he pulled back.
"I can handle myself." Leigh told him.
"I know that, but i worry." He told her.
"I'm sorry." Leigh told him. "I really am." She said, feeling awful she was causing Adam stress. Adam shook his head.
"Don't be." He told her. "I'm not any better." He explained, Leigh tilted her head in confusion. "Izzy and Bree talked me down in the lab." he said. "I was pretty upset with you." He added.
"I don't blame you." Leigh said.
"But what i'm saying is, that i do the same thing." Adam sighed. "I put myself into dangerous situations and probably scare the shit out of you." he pointed out.
"Yeah you do." Leigh stated.
"Just something we have to work on, that's all." Adam stated as Leigh nodded. "Izzy also told me about what happened at Krane's lair." he said, sounding slightly nervous.
"What's she tell you?" Leigh said, obviously not wanting to talk about whatever Adam was ready to bring up.
"She said you were somehow causing Krane pain by just looking at him." Adam explained.
"Yeah, that was scary." Leigh sighed.
"So you don't know how you did it?" Adam questioned before Leigh shook her head.
"It just happened." She told him as she played with her fingers.
"Hey." Adam said pulling her attention back to him. "Davenport will figure out what it is." Adam explained.
"Douglas really turned me into a fucking monster." Leigh sighed as tears pricked at her eyes.
"You're not a monster." Adam told her. "A little bit of a mess." He said. "But no where near a monster." He said before wiping a stray tear off her cheek.
"Thanks." Leigh whispered as she leaned back into him.
