Chapter 35: Piglet, Pooh, and the Hunny Tree Too!

As Sora and Aqua entered Pooh's house, they saw Pooh drooping down on the floor sadly.

"Oh bother, there's no more hunny left," Pooh lamented. "If only the Hunny Tree would come and visit, then I could have my fill." The two Keybearers then decided to leave Pooh alone so he could cope.

"What are we gonna do about Pooh's hunny problem?" Sora wondered aloud.

"If you want to know about what happens next, you can help us out by finding the pages of this book and finishing the story," Owl explained as he flew over to the two heroes. As Sora and Aqua left for the center of the book, they saw a new path opened up to a page that displayed a tall tree dotted with bumblebees flittering around the illustration. Thinking it was the hunny tree Pooh was talking about, they entered the part of the book. When they arrived, a tiny sow peeked out from inside a hollow log, searching around for anyone he could recognize.

"Hello? Is anybody there?" the pig then toddled out from the log and began shaking in anxiety. "Wh- wh- what am I supposed to do? I'm all alone out here. Pooh? Where are you? It's me, Piglet!" Piglet was so lost in thought he didn't notice Sora and Aqua approaching from behind.

"Hi there, can we help you?" Sora asked innocently, as Piglet gasped in horror before running up to a bush close by.

"Real subtle, Sora," Aqua scowled, crossing her arms as she pouted at Sora before walking over to the bush where Piglet was. "I'm sorry we frightened you; we-"

"NO! P-p-please don't eat me!" Piglet stammered exasperatedly.

"We're never going to get him to calm down this way," Aqua concluded as she walked back over to where Sora was standing. The two then decided to sneak from behind the tree over to the bush to try to console the frightened piggy.

"Either this will work, or make things worse," Sora inquired, as they set out to sneak behind until they were directly behind Piglet. As Piglet was caught off-guard, the two Keybearers went to console him.

"Oh dear! I was just- uh, never mind." Piglet yelped.

"You don't have to be scared. You're looking for Pooh, right?" Sora asked.

"You know Pooh?"

"Yeah," Aqua added. "I know he'll be glad to see you're safe." The group then turned over and saw Pooh walking up towards the tree.

"Hmm..." Pooh thought out loud. "I smell a delicious something. A something like honey!"

"Pooh!" Piglet called out to his friend cheerfully, as Sora and Aqua watched the pals reunite.

"Piglet, it's wonderful to see you, friend." Pooh said with a smile.

"It's nice to see you too," Piglet replied. "I brought you what you asked for."

Moments later, Pooh had a balloon in one hand, and was smeared in dripping mud.

"Perfect! Now with this balloon, I can fly up like a rain cloud to the hunny tree." Pooh stated.

"But if you take their honey, won't the bees be angry?" Piglet questioned, as Pooh felt the realization sink in. Almost immediately, Owl dropped by to give Pooh some advice.

"Hello, Owl!" Pooh greeted.

"Good morning to you, Pooh. Are you using that balloon to collect honey? I must say it's a splendid idea, but if I may, let me suggest a few pointers," Owl stated as he explained to the group some tips on how to best collect the honey. "You see, the honey doesn't come from the beehives, but from the hollows on the side of the tree. Sora, Aqua, your job is to smack away bees before they can get to Pooh and pop his balloon. The higher up he goes, the more honey Pooh can collect. If you find yourself falling behind, use the 'Rush' command to hurry to Pooh. But please note this technique isn't always reliable. Nevertheless, I wish you the best of luck!

"Ready, Pooh?" Sora asked.

"As I'll ever be," Pooh remarked.

"Then up you go!" Sora proclaimed as he raised Pooh up to start flying upward and over. Aqua then scaled the thick branches of the tree to follow Pooh on his trek, running into a swarm of bees that didn't appear happy with the bear encroaching on their supply of honey.

"Back off!" Aqua exclaimed as she knocked the bees away with her Keyblade, as Pooh smiled and flittered over to one of the hollows. Scooping honey into his paws, he cheerfully guzzled down the sticky amber-colored treat while Aqua and Sora kept a lookout. Minutes passed, and soon the area was clear enough for Pooh Bear to help himself.

"Enjoying yourself, Pooh?" Sora called out as Pooh stuck out from the hollow, scooping as much honey as his paws could hold.

"Oh, it's rather quite funny, the things I would do for hunny," Pooh chuckled as he kept on eating. "Thank you fellows, by the by!"

"You're welcome Pooh!" Aqua replied with a smile.

"Be sure to take care of yourself," Sora added. "We'll find the rest of your friends for you." And with that, the two Keybearers exited the book and back to the outside world.

{The torn page turned into a new item. You have obtained the Naturegleam summon gem!}

"Sora, Aqua! What was in that book anyway?" Donald asked as the two heroes returned.

"We made a new friend in there. We'll tell you later," Sora answered as the group headed over to the Fairy Godmother to present her with the summon gem the Keybearers found.

"Oh, you found another one of the gems?" the Fariy Godmother asked. "Then let's see what's in this one." With a wave of her wand, the creature inside the gem was awoken, and gave the heroes the power to summon it when in need. After thanking the fairy, the group set out to Olympus Coliseum, to participate in their long overdue attempt at Phil's games.

{You have obtained the Bambi summon!}

Jiminy's Journal

* Piglet- Pooh's best friend in the Hundred-Acre Wood. Tiny, timid, Piglet is startled by just about anything. When that happens, he covers his eyes with his floppy ears. He appeared on a 'Winds-day' in "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968).

* Bambi- A young deer, son of the great stag who rules the forest. He prances around and gives Sora and Aqua items. The more enemies the heroes defeat, the better the items are. The type of items he gives varies depending on the area. The forest prince was born in "Bambi" (1942).
