Chapter 34
Chase was currently sitting in the back storage room of Music Maniacs, with his guitar.
Over time he had started to see his guitar as a form of letting his emotions out in moments of dire stress or sadness. And today was one of those days where he was saddened because a customer decided to be a total b!*ch to him and made his feel bad.
*Flashback*
"Hello, I'm Chase, one of the employees. Can I help you today?" asked Chase to a customer who just seemed to be wondering the store without a real reason behind it.
"Uhhh, yes actually. Do you know where I can find a uhhh... clarinet?" the customer asked looking at a piece of paper she had brought in.
The customer, herself was a middle aged woman, slightly taller than Chase with way too much make-up on her face.
"Yes, of course. Right this way, ma'am" replied Chase, leading her to where the clarinets were.
"Here you are" said Chase as soon as they reached their destination.
"Ummm, these are not clarinets. Are you trying to play games with me?!" she asked, all of a sudden very angry.
"N-no, ma'am. I can assure that these are, in fact c-clarinets. There is no doubt in my m-mind" Chase stuttered, suddenly feeling nervous.
"OH, SO NOW YOU ARE CALLING ME STUPID!" she yelled, obviously feeling enraged.
"I-I never s-said that m-ma'am. I am j-just saying that y-you are m-mistaken as t-these are c-clarinets" said Chase, trying to keep his panic attack at bay.
"OH, WHY I NEVER..." she didn't get a chance to finish as Sandy popped around the corner to see what all the ruckus was about.
"Ma'am, could you please refrain from yelling at my employee and telling me what the problem is" she said as calmly as she could at a moment like this.
You see, Sandy now treated Chase as if he was her younger brother and was very overprotective of him.
"Well you see, I was searching for the clarinets, when your imbecile of an employee and came up to me and offered to show me where they were. He obviously lead me to the wrong area, as these are not clarinets," the customer said, suddenly very calm.
"First things first, none of my employees are imbeciles, especially not Chase as I am pretty sure that he is way smarter than you are. Second of all, these are the clarinet. You are either going to buy this clarinet or you are going to leave this store and never come back because I do not tolerate anybody yelling at my employees or calling them imbeciles when in fact the customer in question is the imbecile" Sandy said, now infuriated that someone would call Chase a imbecile.
With that the customer walked (more like ran) out of the store, offended, never to be seen again.
That was also the time when Chase ran to the storage room with his guitar.
*End of Flashback*
This leads us to where Chase is sitting right now, with his guitar in hand ready to play the first song that pops into his head.
That was when it hit him.
In the crowd, alone
And every second passing, reminds me I'm not home
Bright lights and city sounds are ringing like a drone,
Unknown, unknown
Oh glazed eyes, empty hearts
Buying happy from shopping carts
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard,
Cocaine, dollar bills and
My happy little pill
Take me away
Dry my eyes
Bring colour to my skies
My sweet little pill
Take my hunger
Light within
Numb my skin
Like a rock, I float
Sweat and conversations, seep into my bones
Four walls are not enough, I'll take a dip into the
Unknown, unknown
Oh glazed eyes, empty hearts
Buying happy from shopping carts
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard,
Cocaine, dollar bills and
My happy little pill
Take me away
Dry my eyes
Bring colour to my skies
My sweet little pill
Take my hunger
Light within
Numb my skin
Glazed eyes, empty hearts
Buying happy from shopping carts
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard,

Sandy walked into the room, when Chase was in the middle of the song so she just stood there listening to Chase sing the lyrics with such heart and strumming his guitar with such grace.
His voice was like an angel.
As soon as he finished the song, Sandy started clapping, which in turn startled Chase as he thought no one was there.
"How long have you been there?" he asked, slightly embarrassed.
"Long enough to know that you have an awesome voice and should not be embarrassed by it." She said walking towards him.
"You really think so?" he asked with a small smile on his face.
"Yes, I do. I really think you should do something with it" she said truthfully.
"Like what?" Chase asked now curious as to what he could do with his music.
"Hmmm, you could make a YouTube channel! Show off your amazing talent" she said, now excited.
"Do you think I would get views on my videos?" he asked, unsure about the whole thing.
"Totally. I can even help you set up and everything" Sandy said truthfully.
Okay, let's make a YouTube channel" he said now excited as well.

So that was the latest and longest chapter of Deaf. I hoped you enjoyed it.
That song was Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan (my QUEEN) I am currently obsessed with it and can't stop listening to it.
BTW- go pre-order TRXYE on iTunes. It is going to be awesome and listen to Happy Little Pill on YouTube.
PS. I do not own Happy Little Pill or Troye Sivan but if I did I would have him wink to me every morning and I would set him up with Tyler Oakley.
PPS. To any Troyblemakers out there, hope I wrote the lyrics correctly.
