Another shorter one BUT the next one will be extra long :)

Thanks again for all the reviews! I understand that people are mad at Robin for spilling, but I hope this chapter explains Robin's side a little bit more.

As for those who think that this story is getting old / dragged out, I really wanted to write a story with a throughout back story in order to make later twists and turns more realistic/ relatable. I am sorry if that makes it a boring read, there will be more dramatic things coming up. But I mean this is AU and Robin isn't Robin but a former escort who has even more abandoning issues than she has on the show, and had to depend on herself her whole life.

Anyways, I really appreciate the feedback :)

Last thing; I am not going to update Living Day 2 Day anytime soon. I simply don't have the time for it right now, but I haven't abandoned it either.

Athens III

"Hey." Robin said as soon as the connection was made and Barney could see her via the skype chat.

"Hi." He replied.

They hadn't talked since Lily had gotten back two weeks ago, mostly because Robin was constantly busy.

"How are you?" Robin asked.

"Good, you?"

"Good, I am sorry I didn't have time to skype sooner. Gus and I went on a trip."

"Really? Did you take pics?" He asked.

Robin nodded, "yeah, let me find some later."

There was another pause, and Robin finally broke it by saying,

"I am really sorry Barney."

"Why?" He asked.

"Cause I told Lily about us. I didn't mean to, it was just…we were drinking Ouzo and she told me so many intimate things about her and Marshall's relationship that I kind of felt like I needed to share something really personal too." She shrugged, "I shouldn't have done that though."

Barney nodded, "I get it."

"Really? Cause it gets worse."

"What do you mean? What else did you tell her?"

Robin rubbed her eyes, "well, she kept saying that she couldn't believe that I would do that - that I would just have sex with someone like that. That I'm not really that different from the bimbos you pick up…and I know she was pretty drunk, but it hurt"

Barney watched her scanning the room, trying not to look at him.

"So…?"

"It bothered me, because I enjoyed having a clean vest. To Marshall, Ted and Lily I was just a normal girl. And then she started saying these things, and I felt like I needed to defend myself."

"She made you feel like a slut, huh?" He asked.

Robin nodded, "and let's face it, I am. I worked as a freaking escort Barney, I know I am not a saint. But I really liked having people around me who didn't judge me based on that, you included."

"How did you defend yourself?"

"I kind of made her belief that I thought we were more than sex buddies, that there was something between us. I know there isn't, and I know this isn't at all fair to you, and I am so sorry Barney."

"It's all right, I mean people expect this kind of stuff from me anyways."

"No it's not okay. I wish I would have just not said anything." Robin put her face into her hands, and Barney wished that they could have this conversation in person.

It'd be a lot easier if he could just hug her, and tell her that everything was fine.

"Robin, hey, look at me."

She did.

"It's fine, you blurted it out, so what? I am surprised we kept it a secret for this long."

"Lily promised she wouldn't tell anyone Barney,"

"Please, Lily can't keep secrets." He waved it off.

"Crap"

"It's fine, hey, just think, I can finally brag about sleeping with CNN's hottest reporter if she ends up telling everyone." Barney tried to make light of the situation.

It made her laugh too.

"So you've been in touch with her this whole time, huh?" Barney asked.

Robin shrugged, "sort of…she send me an e-mail, and we started writing. She made me promise not to tell any of you guys cause … well she wasn't doing that great in San Francisco."

"I should have known that you were in touch with her, I mean that's what girls do, right?"

"I am sorry, I feel like I went completely behind your back." Robin apologized once more.

"It's okay. Tell me about this trip you and Gus went on." Barney prompted her.

Robin hesitated but finally launched into a long story about the beach town they went to.

Barney watched her, barely listening to what she was saying. Instead he was contemplating whether or not he should tell her about what had been going on in his life.

He would never talk about serious things with the gang, but with her... she knew him so much better than any of his other friends.

"Can you believe it?" Robin asked giggling.

Barney shook his head, and answered, "no. I am really glad you are happy Robin."

What was the point in telling Robin when it was just going to make her worry, she was in Athens after all, nothing she could do about any of this.

"Don't forget to send me some pics, okay?" He asked while pouring himself another scotch.
