Harry had just finished explaining to his assistant head what happened with Charlie and he was watching him be taken to the Auror department when Rose said, "Harry?"

He turned to her, concern etched all over his face, "Yes, love?"

"I'm going to head to the loo and wash my face and fix myself up so that I can go back in."

"Rose, don't be silly, lets just go home," interrupted Harry.

Rose immediately shook her head and said, "No way Harry, am I letting Charlie ruin this night for me. I worked too hard to get a spot as an Unspeakable."

"Are you sure, Love?"

"Yes, I'm positive. I just need a few minutes to pull myself together. I'll meet you back in the ballroom?"

"I'll come with you."

"Thank you, Harry, but I'd really just like a few minutes to myself." Replied Rose cutting Harry off.

He looked unwilling to let her go alone so Rose spoke up and said, "Christine, would you mind walking with me to the loo?"

"Sure, no problem." Replied Christine.

Hermione also tried to go but Rose shook her head No, leaving Harry and Hermione watching her go.

"Harry, what on earth happened?" asked Hermione concernedly

"It's a long story, Hermione."

"I'll settle for the short version then," replied Hermione leaving no room for arguments.

Harry sighed and said, "That was Rose's ex-boyfriend. I knew he was abusive to her but I didn't know who he was until tonight. I don't know much more than you do about what happened here…but it looked pretty bad when I got here. Rose made a bracelet for Teddy that she could use to call him to her if she was in trouble. She's had to use it before and she knew she was going to see her ex tonight, so she decided to wear it. My guess is she called Teddy for help because when I got here Teddy was fighting with her ex."

"Why didn't she ever say anything?" asked Hermione horrified.

"She said she didn't want anyone to know," replied Harry sighing heavily.

Hermione just nodded before she asked quietly, "Why is Lily with that Wizard? Did her and Scorpius break up?"

Harry clenched his jaw and said, "No, they didn't break up. I have no idea what's going on with Lily but I have a very short fuse right now and I think her time is up."

He then turned and walked towards Lily who was standing face to face with Dmitri. They were much closer than Harry was comfortable with and he had to reign in his instincts to just snatch Lily away. When they both turned to look at him he said in a very controlled tone, "Time to say goodbye, Lily."

She raised her eyebrow at him and started to reply but Harry cut her off and said, "I'm giving you one chance to say goodnight, and then we're going back to the ballroom until we can leave. You will not leave my side for the rest of the night. Is. That. Clear?"

There was something about the tone of her father's voice and the way he was standing that made it perfectly clear to Lily that she really didn't want to push her father right now. She slowly nodded before turning back to Dmitri and standing on her toes to kiss him chastely. "Good night, Dmitri."

Dmitri seemed surprised that Lily was listening to her Dad but he wasn't going to get in the middle of their relationship. He wrapped his hand in her hair and held her so that their foreheads were touching and said, "Good night, Kitten."

They separated mostly, except for their entwined hands. As Lily started walking away they maintained eye contact as their arms stretched until they had to let go. Dmitri grinned at her and said, "We'll catch up tomorrow, Kitten."

Lily smiled broadly as she nodded and said, "You bet your ass we will!"

Dmitri chuckled loudly as Harry wrapped his arm around Lily to guide her away from Dmitri with Al, James, and Hermione following.

"Oh Kitten?"

Lily practically gave herself whiplash she turned so fast as she said, "Yeah?"

"I left a present for you at your house."

Lily squealed and said, "What is it?"

Dmitri laughed and said, "Impatient much?"

Lily blushed fiercely before she replied, "Touché." Then she asked, "At my Mum's?"

Dmitri just shook his head, smirking and Lily gasped and said, "You didn't."

He shrugged and replied; "Teddy said that's where you've been spending most of your time these days. I wanted to make sure you got your present tonight."

Lily groaned and turned to head back to the ballroom, now pulling her Dad somewhat. She wanted to get him away from Dmitri before he realized that he broke into Grimmauld Place to leave a present for her.

"Where did he leave this present?" asked Harry tightly.

Lily just bit her lip and started walking faster until she felt her Dad stop. His eyes were flashing with anger and he growled, "Please tell me he did not break into my house tonight."

Al and James looked equally as angry and Lily wasn't sure how to handle the situation. Thankfully Hermione stepped in and said, "Harry, now don't be angry with Lily. You of all people should know the lengths a wizard in love will go … Now, let's get back to the ballroom before Kingsley has a coronary."

Harry stared at her in shock before reluctantly going with her, leaving a stunned Al and James behind. Lily shook her head in amusement before following her Dad in.

As Al and James were getting ready to head in they heard a commotion behind them and turned to see Teddy and Dmitri fighting. They looked at each other curiously before deciding at the same time to walk back and see what was going on. As they got closer they could hear the argument…

"Lupin, when I asked you to look out for my girl, I didn't mean get her drunk and take her virginity!"

"I know! I'm sorry all right. I told you what happened and I feel terrible! Wait, did you just say Lily was a virgin?"

"You're going to feel a lot worse soon! And yes, of course she was a virgin you fucking mangy mutt!"

Teddy gaped at him and said, "But you were together for so long and you were so close…I just assumed you two had…fuck! I'm a fucking monster!"

Teddy wasn't even putting up a fight as Dmitri bore down on him and threw him against the wall, punching him in the stomach, then the face, then the stomach again.

"I fucking trusted you to look out for her!" roared Dmitri

"I know!" said Teddy anguished

"She trusted you!" growled Dmitri as he held Teddy against the wall and placed his forearm across his throat, effectively choking him.

"I know!" gasped Teddy.

"You will never touch her again! Never."

Teddy nodded.

"And if I decide that you did rape her, trust me when I say there's nowhere you can hide that I won't find you. I promise you that I'll snap your neck with my bare hands before you even realize I've found you." Said Dmitri in a chilling tone, honestly terrifying even James and Al.

Teddy nodded again and said, "I deserve it."

Dmitri nodded and released Teddy, who fell to the floor, gasping for air and rubbing his neck. After a minute, Dmitri held out his hand to help Teddy up. Teddy grabbed it and stood up, both men stared at each other for a minute before suddenly hugging.

"Good to have you back," said Teddy clapping him on the back.

Dmitri just grunted as he pulled away and said, "Fucking tosser."

Rose shakily made her way to the loo, making sure to check all the stalls before slowly moving to one of the sinks to look in the mirror. She was surprised she didn't look that bad, Christine had done a good job healing her. As she stood there the incident flashed in her mind again and she was overcome with the emotions she had been holding in. Her body was wracked with sobs and she slowly lowered herself to the floor, crying uncontrollably. She wasn't sure how long she sat on the bathroom floor but at some point Christine had come in to check on her and was now sitting beside her on the floor, trying to comfort her.

"You two know each other?" asked James stunned.

Both Dmitri and Teddy turned around surprised by the company. Teddy nodded and said, "Yeah, we're pretty good friends."

The four of them stared at each other for a few minutes before Al broke the silence, looked at Dmitri, and said, "What's up with you and my sister?"

Dmitri just shrugged and said, "She's my girl."

"Funny, I don't think her boyfriend knows that," spat Al.

Dmitri rolled his eyes and said, "Boyfriend is a strong word; I would say he's more like her boy toy. Someone to keep her satisfied while I was gone."

Al moved towards Dmitri but Teddy stepped in the way, causing Al's anger to rise and he pushed Teddy aggressively. "And YOU! You fucking raped my sister! You were like a brother to all of us! HOW COULD YOU?"

"I know! You don't think I feel terrible? I do! It makes me so sick that I have to drink until I pass out to keep from having nightmares about it!" replied Teddy emotionally.

Al didn't know what to say to that so he settled for punching Teddy in the face, hard, causing him to stagger back into Dmitri, who righted Teddy then said, "She's fine now. Everyone needs to move on."

"Excuse me," seethed James pushing Dmitri up against the wall.

Dmitri just quirked an eyebrow at James, making him snarl, "My sister was fucking raped by someone she considered her brother, and as if that's not enough, she became pregnant and ended up having a miscarriage. She. Is. Not. Fine."

"James!" gasped Al

"What?" said Teddy horrified.

"Are you serious?" asked Dmitri, obviously surprised.

James backed away and ran his hand through his hair, "Shit."

"I can't believe you just…." Said Al trailing off horrified that James told Teddy.

"Why didn't anyone tell me?" asked Teddy quietly

"Fuck YOU! You didn't fucking deserve to know," James yelled storming over to Teddy before punching him in the stomach.

Teddy groaned and doubled over gasping. When he caught his breath he struggled to say, "It was that night, wasn't it? The night Da…Harry tortured me?"

James just nodded and they all stood in silence for several minutes before Al said, "Neither of you can say anything about this to Lily. No one outside the family knows. Not even Scorpius. Lily was adamant that no one know."

Teddy and Dmitri nodded.

"We should get back Al," said James.

Al nodded and as he turned to leave he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. "What's that?" he asked pointing to something blue against the wall a little further down the hallway.

They all looked and walked towards it, Dmitri was the first to reach it. He slowly leaned down and picked up the item holding it up for everyone to see. It was a pair of blue panties, and they were ripped on both sides, as if they were torn off.

All four of them seemed to realize at the same time the sickening reality that these were most likely Rose's and that she may have been raped.

"Merlin's pants," said James

"Do you think he raped Rosie?" asked Al barely above a whisper.

"Teddy, what did you see? You found them, right?" asked Dmitri practically growling.

Teddy had his hands on his knees, practically hyperventilating, "I don't think he did…I don't think she would have waited to call me… would she?"

Al wanted an answer and he wanted it now, so he shoved Teddy against the wall and said, "Damn it Teddy, what was he doing to her when you found them?"

"He…He had her pushed up against the wall and she was struggling against him, but he had her pinned, one of his hands were… were in between them." Teddy scrunched up his face for a second, thinking back before he finished, "I pulled him away from her and she staggered to the ground. Then Charlie punched me and turned back and pulled Rose up by her hair and she screamed and tried to hit him. I jumped on him again and then we were fighting until everyone found us. She already had bruises and blood all over her when I got here so I don't know what he did before…"

Dmitri started walking away and confused Teddy asked, "Where are you going?"

"Your Dad needs to know about this. One of you should go check on Rose."

The three of them watched in surprise as Dmitri left before they headed to the loo to see if Rosie was still there.

When Lily returned to the table Scorpius looked worried. "Is everything alright, love?"

She smiled meekly and said, "It's a long story. I'll tell you tomorrow, I promise."

He observed her for a minute before nodding in agreement. He looked at Harry and noticed he looked pretty angry and when he looked at Hermione she seemed upset. She was whispering to Ron some sort of explanation but even Scorpius could tell she was lying.

Ginny got up and moved to their table and asked quietly, "What's going on? You guys have been gone for almost an hour. Kingsley had to rearrange everyone's talks because he had no idea where you two were."

"Sorry. We got tied up with something." Harry replied.

"What?"

"Tomorrow," replied Harry leaving no room for discussion, causing Ginny to huff and return to her table.

Kingsley moved to their table and asked, "Harry, I've moved you to last, then I'll give my speech and then Hermione, you're up. Probably only another half hour before we're up. Alright?"

Harry and Hermione both nodded in response and Harry said, "Thank you, Sir."

Kingsley patted Harry on the shoulder before returning to his table. Just as Harry was about to ask Hermione a question he felt someone on his other side and turned to see Dmitri standing between him and his daughter.

"Mr. Potter, may I speak with you outside for a moment?"

"Dmitri, what are you doing?" Lily whispered angrily.

Scorpius straightened up and moved his chair back to get a good luck at Lily's ex. He was surprised by how tall and muscular he was. He also realized they looked completely opposite, him having light hair and eyes and Dmitri having dark hair and eyes. He couldn't help but notice Harry looked murderous.

Dmitri seemed to sense Harry's anger and whispered, "It's about Rose."

That seemed to snap him out of his rage and he nodded and quickly left the table following Dmitri out of the room, surprising everyone.

"So, that's Dmitri," said Scorpius trying to break the tension.

"Um…yeah," replied Lily looking anywhere but at Scorpius.

As soon as Harry exited the ballroom he said, "What is it?"

"After you left, we found something … and we're pretty sure they belong to Rose," replied Dmitri tentatively. He knew what it was like to be told that the woman you love may have been raped. He was trying to be as sensitive as possible.

Harry looked confused and said, "Well, what is it already?"

Instead of answering Dmitri opened his hand and held the pair of ripped underwear up for Harry to see.

The effect was instantaneous as Harry gasped and held his hand over his mouth, eyes wide. He was shaking his head back and forth muttering, "She's pregnant," over and over again.

Dmitri took pity on him and led him towards the loo. When they got there the group was standing outside the door.

"Where is she, is she alright?" asked Harry choking on his sobs.

"I'm alright, love," replied Rose, stepping out and moving towards him for a hug. He wrapped his arms around her and snuggled into her neck. After a minute he pulled back and put his hands on either side of her face and asked, "Rose, did he…did he rape you?"

There were tears streaming down her face as she shook her head no and said, "No, love, he didn't. He wanted to … and he certainly tried … but I called for Teddy before…"

Harry smothered her face in kisses before hugging her tightly, "I'm so sorry, love. Why don't we head home…you've had a long night and you need your rest with the babies."

"No, Harry, you need to be here. You need to give your speech."

"It doesn't matter. Only you matter, Rose. You and the babies," said Harry sincerely.

She kissed him in response and then said, "Harry, I can't have you all to myself until you give this speech. Come on, it's only a little while longer, then I promise I'll let you take me home and spoil me."

He clenched his jaw, obviously not liking this but finally nodded in agreement. He didn't want to fight with her. He just wanted to take care of her and if that meant waiting a half hour then so be it.
