Chapter 37 – Raid Two: FIGHT!

Bubbles POV

The air was a chilly reminder that winter was most definitely upon them. Bubbles pulled her jacket tighter around her as she walked through the streets in the predawn light. Blossom walked lost in thought near her, seemingly comfortable in just her overly large sweater.

No doubt she was rethinking over her entire plan and double checking all the rouge variables or whatever she called them. Ahead of them walked the boys and some forward scouts from the undermanned Bravo Platoon. Behind, Buttercup and Mitch walked along with Alpha Platoon.

The two of them were talking easily to each other, sometimes a few chuckles would catch Bubbles ear from behind. While she felt like she was about to dive off a cliff, the two of them were treating this like just another day at work. It made sense; this was what they were trained to do. They had been on hundreds of mission, so in reality, it really was a normal day for them.

Although, if she thought about it, Buttercup did seem the slightest bit…off. Nothing terribly noticeable or anything like that, but there was this vibe that Bubbles felt from her ever since they had started.

A kind of nervousness? Maybe. Hmm.

The blonde looked over her shoulder at her sister and saw her smiling lightly at something Mitch had said. Could it be…that she was worried about him? He was supposed to go off and provide a distraction for them. It was dangerous and there was a chance that he wouldn't make it back.

Could her tough sister actually have feelings for young Mitchell? The thought caused a bright little smile to pop up on her face.

Oh that was so cute if it was true! And they would be so perfect for each other.

"What's with the grin? I thought you were nervous about the raid." Blossom asked as she took a few steps closer.

"Do you think there is something going on between those two?" Bubbles said as she nodded back towards their middle sister.

Blossom looked over her shoulder and let a small smile of her own play across her lips. "I'm not sure, but it does seem like there is something more there besides friendship doesn't it?"

She turned back to face her. "Well, Buttercup could do worse. I think we can both agree on that."

"Yeah." Bubbles said as she looked forward to the scouts up ahead. "Hey Blossom…"

"Hm?"

"Do you really think this base is where Mojo is storing all those robots?" She asked quietly, tugging on one of her pigtails.

A grimace pulled down Blossom's face as she thought about the question. "I'm not going to lie to you Bubbles, it would take an incredible stroke of luck for that possibility to be a reality. But I hope it is. The sooner we can make a major impact on Mojo here, the sooner the pressure will ease off the Field Marshal and he can start readying the counter attack."

"Yeah, you're right…" Bubbles trailed off as her smiled died.

The butterflies in her tummy seemed to be doing a tango. Don't worry, just the whole Resistance was relying on you to succeed. No pressure or anything.

Ugh.

Blossom noticed her fallen demeanor and lightly bumped shoulders with her, offering an encouraging smile. "Bubbles, don't worry. Even if this isn't the place, it's still an attack against that loud mouth, obnoxious primate and that's always a good thing."

With that, Bubbles' smile reignited and she could feel her confidence return. Blossom's words reminded her that she wasn't alone in this, her sisters were with her every step of the way and as long as they were together, they couldn't fail.

"You're right." Bubbles smiled back at her.

"Of course I am. I'm always right remember?" Blossom chuckled.

Bubbles joined in and they giggled for a good minute of two, until Brick ruined the moment. It wasn't really his fault, or so Bubbles told herself, but whenever he was nearby Blossom's guard instantly went up. So when he fell back to walk beside them, Blossom abruptly cut off her laughter and leveled an even stare at him. He returned the gesture.

"We're at the breakoff point." He said in a cold voice.

Blossom slowed to a stop and offered him a stiff nod before turning around towards Mitch and his soldiers. "Okay Lieutenant, it's time to start Operation DDD."

Mitch snapped a quick salute at Blossom's command. He gave a quick parting smile to Buttercup before he called in his troops, readying them to begin their part of the mission.

It could have been just her, but Bubbles was sure there was a brief crestfallen look on her sister's face as Mitch left her side. There was so something going on there. But that was a thought for another time. It was time to focus on Operation DDD.

DDD? She never did find out what that acronym stood for. Well, they had a bit of time.

Bubbles tugged on Blossom's sweater and asked curiously. "Hey Blossom, what's the triple D's stand for? You never explained that in the mission debrief."

"Divert, Distract, and Disengage. Hopefully these guys and gals will do all three." Blossom said simply as she gave an intent look at the troops, now making their way past them and off towards their targets.

Through the hustle, Bubbles spotted Mitch clasp hands with Buttercup one last time before running off with his squad of men. Buttercup stood looking after him for moment before turning their way and walking up to join them.

Bubbles offered her a comforting smile while Blossom patted her on the shoulder. A small, grateful smile appeared on Buttercup's face at the gestures…and was then wiped away as Butch ruined the moment.

"Finally! Now that the soap opera's over can we get going?"

Ugh that boy had no manners. It instantly soured her sister's emotional state. Bubbles knew that another feud was imminent between the two. In fact, Buttercup would probably say something equally as cruel in three…

Two…

"Yes, we can move out. We only have about twenty minutes before the operation begins so let's hustle." Blossom smoothly stepped in, pushing her sisters forward.

Another save by Blossom's quick intervention. It was unfortunate how often that happened. Buttercup really needed to work on her stupidity tolerance.

"Bubbles, Boomer, you're on point. Get us to the base. Buttercup rear guard, make sure no one takes us by surprise. Let's move out people."

Brick looked a bit miffed about Blossom's swift usurpation of control but he followed along with it surprisingly enough.

Unfortunately, that cooperation didn't last very long. They had barely traveled ten minutes before an argument rose up between him and her sister.

"Look, if the robots aren't there then the best course of action would be to split up. We would cover twice as much ground and cause that much more havoc." His voice was loud enough that Bubbles could hear him even a fifty meters ahead.

"And run in to that much more trouble! The chances of us getting discover multiples each time we dissect ourselves in to smaller teams. Everyone going in on their own is like courting trouble! If we were in groups of three, there would be sufficient force to meet any issues head on." Blossom fought back, also rather loudly.

They had been going on about this team situation for at least the last five minutes and it didn't look to be dying down any time soon. She really didn't see that much of a choice in the matter. Blossom's idea sounded a lot better, and it wasn't just because the thought of being on her own inside an enemy base made the hair on her arms stand up.

It was more practical than going alone. Besides she was better as part of a team. What if they did split up and she ran into trouble? It was super likely as far she was concerned; she always managed to end up in terrible situations. As much as Bubbles hated it, she would admit that she usually needed her sisters to bail her out.

"The point is to avoid trouble Bossy. I thought you'd realize that by now."

"Don't patronize me Brick, it isn't becoming of someone with you dazzling intellect."

And now it was descending into insults, like most of the conversations between the two. Bubbles shook her head softly as she searched up ahead for danger. If this was how all the raids were going to be then she really wasn't looking forward to them. She could only take so much negativity.

"I'd say the same for you, but that obviously doesn't apply."

Bubbles could just imagine the affronted look on Blossom's face. This would probably be the best time to intervene, before things got serious…rather, more serious. The blonde stopped and turned around but she was beat to the punch.

"Would you two shut the hell up already? God, we won't know which idea is best until we get to the damn base and see what the situation is! We have to get inside first before we can break off into teams…right?" Butch cut in, throwing glares at both redheads.

They in turn, responded with dumbfounded looks. Bubbles was feeling a bit shocked herself, when she thought about it…Butch actually made a good point.

That was something you didn't see every day.

When neither Brick nor Blossom offered any sort of disagreement, Butch smirked in a satisfied manner and nodded to himself. And just like that, the matter was decided and silence finally descended upon the group.

Butch…ending a fight. This was definitely turning out to be a weird day and it had only just begun.

Bubbles decided to enjoy the quiet while it lasted and continued with her scouting. That is, until she caught sight of their target only a few hundred meters ahead of them. The guards at the entrance gate were indistinguishable figures but if they got any closer they would surely be spotted. What they needed was a good vantage point and a quiet area to sneak in.

Bubbles motioned to Boomer to grab his attention. He caught the gestured and stepped closer to her with a quirked eyebrow.

"We're gonna need to find a good place to gain entry. I think we should get off the main road and start making our way towards the east side. There should be a less patrols in that area." Bubbles answered his unasked question.

"Will that be okay with those two?" He nodded back to the still silent couple, who were doing their best to throw subtle glares at each other.

"Blossom said it was our job to get to the base, she didn't say we had to follow a straight path."

After a moment of consideration, Boomer shrugged in agreement and the pointed towards an upcoming side street. Bubbles nodded and together they guided their less than cooperative team down the street.

Five minutes later, the Blues lead the group into a small, ramshackle convenient store that looked to have been hit by a tornado. The windows were completely busted out and the door was nowhere to be seen. Shattered glass littered the floor and made kneeling down a hazardous experience.

Bubbles would have liked to pick something not so…demolished, but the store offered a perfect view of the perimeter wall and the destroyed windows would allow them to get out quickly when it came time to scale the wall. It was practical and that was what mattered, her feelings really didn't factor in much.

The two warring leaders took up positions on either side of the doorless entry and knelt down behind the half wall. There still seemed to be a little tension between the two but now that their object was insight they seemed to be willing to at least talk civilly to each other again.

The others followed suit and soon the whole group of them were peering through the windows at the wall. A few hundred meters to the left sat one of the main entrance gates. Even from this far away Bubbles could still see the dozens of troops milling around. The robots, by contrast, were stock still but she knew they'd be ready at a moment's notice. There was even an APC parked out front.

Blossom wasn't kidding around when she said security had been upgraded.

Next to her, Butch let out a low whistle of appreciation. "Damn, that's a shit ton more fire power than I thought they'd have. Guess the chimp's finally starting to take notice of us."

"Hmm." Brick nodded in agreement. "It doesn't change anything though. We're still moving forward with the mission. We'll just have to be more careful." He stressed the last word as he cast a stern look at Butch.

The brunette rolled his eyes and turned to look at the wall. "Well, that diversion better start soon if we want to even begin the mission."

As if called by his voice, a series of explosions rang in the distance.

"And there is goes." Boomer said quietly.

"Gee, thanks for the breaking news captain obvious." Buttercup muttered as she craned her neck to try and catch a glimpse of the tell tale signs of smoking rising in the sky.

The verbal jab drew a cruel snicker from Butch and a blush of embarrassment from Boomer. A heavy frown pulled at Bubbles lips as she watched her counterpart look down at the ground in shame.

Dagnabit! That was one of the first voluntary things she had ever heard Boomer say and Buttercup just had to go and ruin it!

The blonde directed her frown at her sister but she found that Buttercup was intently staring at the sky. She didn't even look aware of what was going on around her. It was so different from what Bubbles knew of her sister's behavior while she was on a mission. She must be really worried about Mitch and how he was doing.

Yep, there was definitely something going on between those two.

That could wait for later however, at this particular moment she had to remedy this situation before it caused Boomer to relapse.

She cleared her throat and looked at the blonde. "What's going on at the gate Boomer? Are the troops moving?"

The Blue Ruff jumped at the opportunity to direct the attention away from his embarrassment and leaned out the window to get a look down the street. "They're moving some squads through the gate already…but it looks like the guard is still in place."

"They were prepared for this then." Brick mused aloud as he fingered the scar running through lips.

Bubbles noticed he did that sometimes…just like how Blossom chewed on hers. Heh, it was funny how they mirrored each other and didn't even seem to know it.

"We couldn't catch them unaware forever. I had hoped that it would take a bit longer than this though." Blossom responded.

She backed away from the window and looked at both Buttercup and Butch. "You two have the ropes ready?"

Blossom's query stole Buttercup's attention from her weird spacing out thingie. The brunette nodded and pulled out a length of rope from the bag slung across her back. It was at least forty feet long, and at one end hung a large treble hook.

Butch already had his own coil out and looked like a kid about to enter a candy store on half priced Friday. The grin he sported was a bit unhinged looking to Bubbles but it was Butch they were talking about. She would be worried if he didn't look like that.

"Remember, you need to scale that wall as quickly as possible and take out the perimeter guard in the neighboring watch towers. We can't let them be alerted to our presence. When it's all clear, come back and give us the signal." Blossom instructed the two as they moved toward the door.

"Yeah, yeah Pinkie. We know the drill." Butch replied offhandedly as he hopped lightly on the balls of his feet.

Her older sister didn't look happy by Butch's nonchalant attitude but before she could make an issue out of it, Brick waved his hand and motioned the two climbers to go.

Like a start of a track meet, the two of them bolted out the door and into the street. Bubbles watched anxiously as they booked it straight toward the wall, tugging at her pigtails the entire time.

Butch's POV

Ahh yeah! This was so freakin' boss! Finally! Butch was doing something that made him feel like he was actually alive!

Seriously, the last two weeks were officially the most utterly boring weeks of his life. There was nothing to do, nowhere to go, and he was 'forced' to be on his best behavior by threat of bodily harm from his uppity older brother. It had been like being stuck in a prison for Christ's sake!

But now! Oh hohoho, now was an entirely different story! No more boring waiting crap, now it was time for action and he was sooo ready for it. He didn't even try to stop the excited grin that sprung up on his lips as he raced towards the thirty foot wall.

This was his element, this was what he was made for, almost literally. At any moment they could be spotted by a guard and thrown into a battle for their very lives. The honest part of him, which was terribly small, would admit that he really had no problem if that situation were to occur. The thrill of it all was singing through his veins.

Covering the open ground quickly, Butch skidded to a halt in front of the wall and unhitched his rope. He let the rope swing a turn or two before expertly tossing it up the wall. The treble hook found purchase on the wall's top edge and instantly offered a new entry into the outpost.

Tugging it once to make sure it was secure, Butch began to scale rope post haste. He couldn't let that goodie two shoes beside him get the lead. His counterpart barely trailed behind him on her own rope.

She was actually a decent climber…but no way was he going to let her catch up. He would rather wear a pink dress and sip a cup of tea than lose to her. And yes, he knew this wasn't supposed to be a competition, they were supposed to be working together as a team, but truthfully…screw that shit. Any time it came to him and Butters it was most definitely a competition.

He wasn't going to lose this one.

The little monkey incarnate gave him a run for his money but in the end he was still victorious!

A light chuckle escaped his lips as he reached up a hand and grabbed a hold of the edge first, Buttercup doing the same only a few seconds later. Oh, he would savor the glare she sent his way for at least the next week.

Butch turned away from his counterpart and peered over the edge. No guards were stationed along the wall at the moment but they could come out of the two watch towers at any time. Acting quickly, Butch hoisted himself up and over the edge and motioned to Buttercup that he would take the left tower.

When he didn't receive any sort of confirmation of his plan he looked over at her. Only to see that the fiery brunette was already dashing towards her tower, without even so much as an okay!

Gah, what a bitch. She didn't even have the common courtesy to wait for him or anything. And they said he didn't have any manners. Psh!

His grin soured into a very disgruntled scowl as he turned on his heel and ran towards his designated tower. Coming up to the door, Butch slowed down and cautiously test the handle. It cracked open quietly. Peering inside, he saw that the room beyond wasn't anything too special. Truthfully, he had been expecting more.

There was a single computer station taking up the whole back wall with rows upon rows of camera monitors sitting above it. A guard was seated at the desk, typing away at his computer in a bored fashion, not even paying a lick of attention to the monitors in front of him.

It was a damn good thing too, as Butch scanned the monitors he spotted one that showed a crystal clear view of the section of wall he and Butters had just scaled. Thank fucking goodness that guard had been so caught up in whatever the hell he was doing that he had failed to notice them.

He guessed old Mitchie boy's distraction was proving out to be a good idea after all.

Butch slipped through the door as silent as a panther and took the guard from behind. One quick sleeper hold later and the poor bastard was out to lunch. When he woke up, he'd probably have one killer headache.

His former grin returned at the thought.

The brunette brawler stashed the unconscious guard in the little space between the desk and the wall before taking a quick look around the room. Over by the opposite wall was a trap style door set into the floor. It was their ticket down to the ground level and into the base.

The only other door was on the opposite wall, across from the door he had entered through. It probably led back out onto the perimeter wall. Butch shoved a nearby crate in front of it to block any unwelcome entry and made his way back out towards their scaling point.

The oh so charming Buttercup was waiting for him with a scowl on her face. She kind of looked like a cat who had been shoved unceremoniously into a pot of water.

"Took you long enough." She said in a growl as he crouched down beside her.

Butch was just about to open his mouth and retaliated with something amazingly witty…but then he remembered Brick's other warning, the one that included bodily harm and dismemberment if he messed this raid up.

He knew he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even he wasn't stupid enough to ignore a threat like that from Brick. Dude went psycho when he got pissed off. It was never a pretty sight, not to mention a fucking headache to deal with.

Reigning in his compulsive anger, Butch instead took the high ground and ignored his counterpart, opting instead to lean out over the edge and wave the all clear to the team down below. At his signal, Brick and Blossom hurried out of the building and starting climbing the rope as soon as they reached it.

Pinkie was actually more graceful at climbing than those missing fingers on her left hand had led him to believe. Of course, it wasn't like they were completely missing, it was only the first joint. But still, it reminded him that he had never got the dirt on how that particular misfortune had befallen Little Miss Perfect. He could understand losing your pointer finger or your middle finger easily enough, but just the pinky and ring finger? How the hell did that happen?

Heh, maybe she had gotten them stuck in a toaster oven or something pathetically stupid like that. That would be hilarious if it were true.

His broke off his absent musings as Bubbles and Boomer pulled up the last of the rope and finished coiling them up neatly. Brick and Blossom were crouching on the opposite side of the wall looking over the base grounds.

And Butters? Well, she was frowning at him again. Why? Hell if he knew, and frankly he didn't fucking care. There was a mission to do and he was going to enjoy it. Sour grapes over there wasn't going to ruin this for him.

Butch stepped up beside his brother and Blossom and threw a thumb towards the watch tower he had entered. "There's a security room in that tower over there. Lots of camera monitors and shit like that. There was a guard but I took care of him."

His older brother gave him a nod and made his way quickly to the aforementioned room. The others trailed after him, Butch taking a moment to stuff the rope Boomer handed him into his bag.

Now it was time for the carnage to begin. A maniacal grin lit up his face as he hurried to join the others.

Hehehe. This was going to be so much fun!

Blossom's POV

Inside the watch tower, Brick immediately seized the opportunity and nabbed the only chair in the room before she could. This left Blossom with the undesirable position of having to lean over his shoulder in order to see anything of the computer screen. It was an extremely childish action but damn did it get under her skin.

It took a second for Blossom to remind herself that she was professional and she was supposed to be an example as a leader to this egotistical, overbearing, pompous smartass typing away on the keyboard in front of her.

The redheaded Puff took subtle calming breath and looked up at the row of monitors hanging on the wall. The whole base was practically laid out before her eyes. Who knew they would have so much surveillance of their own facility. Paranoid much?

It worked in their favor though and that was more than she had been hoping for. Scanning them quickly, Blossom was disappointed to find that there weren't any shots showing a multitude of warehouses inside the base.

There was a small chance that this was the storage base for all the newly minted robots and they were just trying to keep them off the grid…but Blossom was more inclined to believe that this was just an ordinary manufacturing outpost.

Well, that bit ten ways to Sunday. Never the less, they would move forwards and decommission this place like she had planned. This was not an opportunity that she wanted to waste.

Brick continued typing away in searching for a map of the base, just like they had planned earlier should they come across any access terminal. The others had taken up defensive positions along the doors. Boomer and Bubbles stood next to the trap door that led down stair while Butch and Buttercup took up positions on the doors at either side of the room.

It was nice to know that those two could put aside their differences, if only for an hour, to work towards something important. Lord help her if that truce failed…no Lord help them if that truce failed. She had made a point to drill it into Buttercup's head that she was not to antagonize Butch or respond to his attempts at riling her up on this mission. They had enough on their plate already.

Blossom turned back towards the computer and watched Brick's efforts to hack into the base's network. It was a slow process and a few minutes ticked by until the silence was impatiently broken.

"Are you two done yet? I mean, come fucking on! You've been at that for like ten minutes for Christ's sake!" Butch complained as he leaned up against the wall.

Blossom knew he was going to be the one to shatter the quiet, it was always him. She tried to give him a stern look, but whereas it usually worked on all of her troops, it had little effect on Butch. The impatient brunette took the glare in stride and crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed with her attempts to assert her authority.

How annoying.

Blossom held back a sigh and began to explain their situation. "A large part of their primary garrison has vacated the inner sections of the base. The outer guard is still fully intact but they won't be anything to worry about until we make our escape. We just need to find a map of this facility and then we can split up and start-"

"Got it." Brick interrupted her as one of the larger screens on the wall flickered and then showed a simple black on white outline map.

It was filled with tons of extraneous detail, like piping and electrical wiring, but Blossom was able to scan past that and look for what was really important.

Unfortunately, her initial conjectures were proven correct as she could find no signs of extra storage buildings for hundreds of robots to be stowed away in. This base oddly enough, didn't have an administrative building either. That seemed a bit weird to her, but she reasoned that it could have been the outpost's location that affected that anomaly.

The base was placed in the middle of three other ones. They were probably receiving their day to day instructions of one of the larger bases nearby.

"I've also found some specifications and blueprints for the T-32's and another model of robot, a RS-4, whatever the hell that is." Brick said, drawing her attention back from the monitors. "You do still have that drive that I can download these to right?" Somehow he had the ability to make even an innocent question like that sound condescending.

Yes, her counterpart definitely had a gift…of being a royal jackass.

Still, she was a professional and as such she swallowed down her instinctive need to fight back and handed the tiny flash drive from her belt pouch.

He took it and began downloading the files without so much as a thank you. Not that she wanted one mind you, but still…how rude. Turning towards the rest of the team, Blossom pointed to the map on the screen.

"Alright, looking at this map, it appears that there are only two objectives for us today. One, dismantle the production plant that's making those T-32's. Two, destroy the storage warehouse that's holding the completed robots. With only those two things to take care of, I suggest we split up into two groups of three like I had originally proposed. That is, unless you think going it alone would still be the better option Brick?"

Okay, so she might have sounded a bit haughty, and there might have been a small smirk on her lips as she addressed her counterpart but come on! She was only human, kinda of. Even Butch could see that splitting up now would be an atrociously horrendous idea. And call her petty, but she wanted to hear Brick say it.

With more than a little reluctance and a face like looked like he was chewing gravel, Brick slowly nodded his head in agreement.

"Fine." He spat. "I'll take Boomer and Bubbles and go dismantle that production plant. You take Butch and Buttercup to destroy the warehouse."

Blossom snatched back the flash drive as he handed it back to her moodily. Okay, so he didn't exactly say he was wrong, but it was admittance enough for her. The triumphant smirk on her lips was short lived however.

"What!? Are you out of your fucking mind!"

"No way in hell!"

The twin cries of outrage drew a tired sigh from Blossom as she turned to face the two affronted teammates.

"I don't want to work with him Bloss! You said I wouldn't have to be anywhere near this bastard!" Buttercup yelled, her voice coated with anger.

Butch turned and pointed at her. "Well I sure as hell don't want to work with you either sister! Seven hells Brick! You can't do this to me! Chaining me to that harping shrew? Have you lost your God damn mind? Switch me out with Boomer or something!"

"Harping shrew?! Says the guy who can't shut up for one minute!" Buttercup retaliated.

Oh boy, the truce was most definitely ending…and they hadn't even started yet. Blossom raised a hand to rub at her temple as the two of them fought.

"News flash! What do you think I've been doing for the last ten minutes bitch?"

"Flapping your gums cause you sure as hell weren't quiet! I wouldn't be surprised if a squad of guards busted in right now!"

"If they did bust in, it would only be because they can hear your amazingly shrill voice from across the entire base!"

"Quiet! Both of you!" Blossom's voice whipped through the air.

Instantaneously, the two broke apart their glaring match and stared at her with wide eyes. In return, she pinned them with the sternest look that she could muster and for once it actually worked on Butch. Under her flinty pink eyes, the two of them took a few steps away from each other and started nervously shifting their feet.

At least she could still get them to stop fighting…if only momentarily.

Blossom cleared her throat roughly. "Now, I don't particularly care what you two want. The only thing I care about right now is completing this mission and destroying this base. The fact of the matter is that both of you are the best at blowing things up. I need that in order to destroy that warehouse and if you two don't stop this inane fighting and start cooperating this instant so help me…" She threatened, pointing a finger at the both of them.

Buttercup almost attempted to push the issue further but one look from Blossom's hard pink eyes and the complaint died on her lips. Sourly, the brunette nodded her head in agreement and frowned at the floor. Butch followed with a nod of his own after Brick got up and smacked him upside the back of the head.

Seeing the two properly chastised, Blossom took one last long look at the map on the screen and committed it to memory. They were going to have to travel to the other side of base in order to get to the storage facility, in broad daylight with guards all around them. If there was any luck in this forsaken world then both Butch and Buttercup would stay silent and work with her until the mission was complete.

It was a slim hope, but that was just what she had to work with.

"We'll meet back here after our respective missions are completed. One hour should be more than enough time to get our objectives done. The Simian troops will probably have finished responding to our distractions by then and be returning to this base. We need to be out of here before they do. If you're not here by the time limit, you're getting left behind. Clear?" Brick stated with authority as he stepped up to Boomer and Bubbles.

Blossom nodded solemnly and watched as her baby sister followed that cretin through the trap door into the stair well down below. Boomer followed last and sent them one more wave before closing the hatch.

If anything happened to her, Brick was going to see a side of Blossom he never thought possible. And he'd get a lot more than just the wicked side of her words…more like a permanent relocation to the Med Clinic with a holiday visit to the Morgue.

Turning back towards Butch and Buttercup, Blossom pushed aside her feelings and went into mission mode. It was time to start. Or at least attempt to start. The two Greens were purposefully looking anywhere but each other, a severe look of distaste on both their faces.

Blossom felt another sigh welling up inside her lungs. If there was a Creator, please, please let those two hold their peace long enough to get them through this mission.

Please?

Thanks again to all you awesome reviewer! 10 reviews this chapter! It makes me super pumped! Oh, and if you didn't know, I now have a tumblr! Yes! I'm stepping up my game! I actually put of a FAQ on there and am considering doing an ongoing one so people can ask me questions about the story. You can find the link to the FAQ post on my profile page. I also posted a picture of my version of the Rowdyruffs up there too. Let me know what you think!

Next chapter: The best title I've ever come up with -"Bitches be Trippin" and yes, I do get infinite enjoyment from that.

Until next time!
