Chapter 36:
It's been a good two months, and alot has changed. Vanessa is still in Burgess, Pitch was arrested, Jack is healed, and we're together again.
I had just came back from shopping with the girls, we had all gone shopping since we were leaving to Atlantica, Ariel's home town, tomorrow. Ariel invited us over to stay at her sister's lodge. We were all very excited, Jack, Anna, Kristoff, Ariel, Eric, Punzie, Flynn, Merida, Hiccup, Tooth and Sandy would get to go. Ariel had asked her dad for the car, since theirs was a lot spacier. I set my clothes down on the bed and looked through the pitcures of the lodge Ariel gave me. The lodge was owned by three of her sisters, Attina, 23, Alana, 22 and Adella, 21. But, the rest of her sisters would be there. I grabbed a suit case and grabbed my clothing, swimsuits, crop tops, t-shirts, dresses, shoes, shorts, pajamas, a brush, deoderant, sun screen, sunglasses, a sun hat, and a beach towel. I closed it and put it at my door. We would be in Atlantica for 4 days. The first day, Ariel would take us on a walk through the enormous city. The second day, we would all go to the beach. The third day, Ariel would take us to the shopping centers, and the last day, Ariel agreed to take us to musical club she had gone to a few years ago with her sisters. I was very excited. I collapsed in bed and let sleep take me over.
In the morning, I got up and took a shower. I grabbed a white t-shirt and light short shorts. I put on a pair of black combat boots and put my hair in a braid with a black head band. I grabbed my suit case and walked towards the halls, Anna and Punzie were already going outside. I walked downstairs and followed them, Ariel's car was parked in the front of the house. The trunk was open and the boys were loading stuff. Jack came over to me and hugged me, he took my suit case and loaded it into the car. When everyone arrived, we all got into the bright blue van. Jack and I were seated next to Punzie and Flynn. Eric would be driving, since he was familiar with Atlantica as well. A few minutes into the driving, everyone began to talk.
"Ariel, tell us again how many sisters you have?" Flynn laughed
"I have six older sisters, but they're all wonderful, you'll like them." She assured
"What are there names again?" Anna asked
"Right, all of our names start with an A." Ariel muttered
I had memorized them, "Ariel's sister's name are Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista and Andrina." I blurted
Everyone turned to look at me, "What?" I asked
"I don't want to have to ask for their names every five seconds." I said
Everyone laughed and we kept talking into the trip. The trip to Atlantica from Corona was at least four hours. To pass time, everyone talked, we stopped at convenience stores for snacks, we grabbed Starbucks, we listened to music and Punzie and I read. Tooth joined in on the reading too, but she grabbed her Dentist Books. I laughed at her and I kept reading.
Before I knew it, we were here. Eric drove us to the lodge and we stepped out. The lodge was a few miles away from the nearest beach. Jack grabbed his suit case and I grabbed mine. We all walked on the rocky terrain towards the cabin like lodge. We stepped inside and it was almost like a hotel. It had rooms, an indoor pool, a gym, and a food bar. Right away, Ariel ran in towards a young woman with light brown hair and an orange t-shirt with khaki pants.
"Attina!" She shouted, hugging her.
"Ariel.." She laughed, hugging her sister
Ariel turned to us and introduced her to her sister.
"Good to meet you, I hope you enjoy the lodge." She smiled
Everyone nodded,
"Attina, where is everyone else?" Ariel asked
"Alana went out for lunch, and Adella is at the pool out back." Attina said
"When are the rest getting here?" Ariel asked
"Aquata will be here tonight, Arista and Andrina will be here tomorrow from college."
"Oh that's wonderful!" Ariel exclaimed
Attina's attention turned to Eric, "Hey, how are you?" He greeted
"Good, how are you?" Attina responded
"Grand."
"Good to hear." Attina said
"Where are our rooms?" Ariel asked
"Right, The boys have two suites with two bedrooms, as do the girls." Attina said
Suddenly, I heard running.
"ARIEL!" Someone shouted
Ariel turned around and was crushed into a hug by her older sister, Adella.
"You're back!" She squealed
Ariel laughed and hugged her sister, when they broke away, Adella's attention turned to Kristoff, Flynn, and Jack.
She kept staring, Ariel cleared her throat and leaned to her sister. "They're taken." She said
"Darn it!" She shouted, crossing her arms.
We all laughed,
Ariel introduced us again to Adella, she bowed and giggled.
"Nice to meet you."
Attina folded her arms, "Adella, can you show the boys to their rooms?"
Adella giggled, "Oh but of course, follow me boys." Adella said
The guys shrugged and followed Adella towards another hall.
"Excuse her, she's kind of boy crazy." Attina laughed
"Come on, I'll show you to your rooms."
We nodded and followed Attina down a hall. Ariel and I would be sharing a room, Anna and Merida would be sharing a room and Tooth and Punzie would share one. Adella gave Ariel, Anna, Merida and I the first room. Attina took the other girls to the second room. Attina left us to get settled and would come check on us for dinner,
"You're free to explore the lodge if you wish." Attina smiled
We all nodded and she left. Each bedroom had two beds, Ariel and I went to our room and Merida and Anna stayed in theirs. Ariel collapsed in bed,
"What are we doing today?" I asked
"I was thinking maybe we could go to the pool, and later go on a walk." Ariel suggested
"Great idea." I smiled
She nodded and called everyone to meet her at the pool in twenty minutes. I unpacked my suit case and out it in the drawers. Ariel put on purple and green bikini, she slipped on a pink pull over and some green flip flops. I put on my ice blue bikini with a little bit of shimmer to it. I pulled on a dark blue pull over and dark blue flip flops. I let my hair lay loose across my back, Ariel did the same. I grabbed my beach towel and Ariel and I were ready. We walked out of the door and saw Anna and Merida ready on the chairs. We got up and we all followed Ariel towards the pool. Luckily, it was empty. I put my towel on a beach chair and sat down. Everyone did the same; within seconds, the boys came running in their swimsuits. All of the girls blushed when they realized the guys were shirtless, even Sandy. I got my book out of my bag and covered my face to hide the blush. Jack chuckled and sat in a beach chair next to me.
"Come on, I need you to teach me how to swim." Jack said
I smiled and put my book down. "Okay."
I walked down the steps towards the shallow end of the pool. I stepped in the nice warm water, Jack behind me. I turned to look at all the boys playing with their girlfriends in the deep end and here I was teaching my boyfriend how to swim. I tried my best to show him how to swim, he caught on eventually. We started moving a bit deeper with everything he did correctly. Before I knew it, Jack could swim! Jack grabbed me by the waist and pulled me further down the pool. We all kept playing until it was almost six. We all got out of the out of the pool and dried ourselves off. Ariel told us that after we got dressed, we would go eat dinner quickly with her sisters. Then, she would show us around the city. I grabbed my bag and I walked to our room. I dried my hair and put on a dark blue dress with flower patterns. I put on a pair of white sandals and put my hair in it's bun. I grabbed a cute hair band with a flower on it and put it in my hair. I grabbed my bag and followed everyone out to the dining room; only staff was allowed in the dining room, but they made an exception. When I got there, two girls, one with a pink shirt and curled hair and the other with a pony tail and blue dress, were crushing Ariel in a tight hug.
"Ariel!" They squealed,
Ariel giggled as they hugged her,
When they broke away, the one with black hair fixed her curls and smiled.
"Hello everyone, I'm Alana. Ariel's older and beautiful sister"
Ariel laughed, the other one with dark brown hair fixed her shirt and smiled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Aquata." She bowed
We all smiled and nodded
Ariel introduced us to them and we all sat down to eat. Besides being a very ocean related family, they didn't eat sea food. Ariel called it an "abomination"
"As Bruce from Finding Nemo once said, fish are friends, NOT food." Aquata said
We all laughed and finished our meals,
"Attina, we'll be gone for tonight. I'm going to go show the guys around the city." Ariel said
Attina smiled, "Alright, just be safe."
Ariel nodded and we all walked outside. We went in the car and Eric turned it on. We drove downtown and Ariel showed us the shops, their family's actual house. Fun fact: It's bigger than mine. I mean, I guess it's gotta be huge, 8 people in one house. She showed us downtown which is really beautiful. It has lights that make it glow blue at night, almost like the town is underwater. It's a really beautiful city. When we got back to the lodge, it was almost midnight. Everyone went back to our rooms, I went to my room and put on my pajamas. Ariel put them on as well, but sat by the window, listening to the sound of the waves. I ignored it and went to sleep.
Oh, the waves roll low, and the waves roll high. And, so it goes.
I opened an eye to find Ariel sitting at the window. Holding the flowers that grew on the building.
Under the bright blue, endless sky.
I smiled, she sang really pretty.
Waves try to measure, the days that we treasure
Wave hello, and wave goodbye.
I sat up, she turned to me.
"Oh, did I startle you?"
I shook my head,
"Sorry, I was just remembering my mother." She said sadly
I walked over to her,
"You never talk about her, what happened?" I asked
She sighed, "She died in a car accident."
"I'm sorry." I whispered
"Twelve years ago, but it's okay, I guess."
I nodded,
"Are you going to sleep?" She asked
"Oh, yeah." I said
"I'll go in a bit, you go back.." She said
I nodded and I went to bed.
Next Morning..
I woke up in the morning and went to take a shower. When I got out, Ariel and the others were getting ready. We were going to the beach today, I pulled out a dark blue swim suit with white polka dots. I put my hair in a pony tail and braided my bangs back. I put on my flip flops and the pull over. I decided to not put on shorts because it was a short walk. I grabbed my beach towel, sun screen, a book, sunglasses, sun hat, and a water bottle. I set the things on my bed and grabbed my gym bag. I stuffed everything in there and checked the time. Almost noon.
Ariel put her hair in a pony tail and let her bangs out. She put a pink flower in her hair, it made the pink swimsuit she was wearing even nicer. We walked out of our room where Anna and Merida were ready. We all walked downstairs to the lobby. Everyone was waiting there,
Jack kissed me and we held hands as we went outside. I put on my sun hat and sun glasses, Jack put on his sunglasses and we walked. I stepped on the rocky street towards the beach.
In about four minutes or so, we arrived. I set up a spot for me on the beach and put my towel down. I sat on my towel and rubbed my body in sun screen. Jack came over to me and set up an umbrella for us, he also needed sunscreen. We're very pale, sun burns don't look attractive on a pale person. I grabbed my book and lied on the towel. Jack stood up,
"I'm gonna go get a slushie, want one?" He asked
"Sure." I said
He nodded and walked away. I kept reading face down on the towel. My toes playing with the warm sand. I turned around when I heard a whistle.
"Hey, baby." a guy said
I turned around to find two guys standing above me.
"Screw off." I muttered
"Aw, you don't mean that." Another smiled
"I have a boyfriend." I said, my attention now fixated on the book.
"You don't have to lie to make us go away, what's your name?"
"Elsa, and I'm not lying. Screw off."
"Elsa is such a beautiful name.."
I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you making up that you have a boyfriend?" One laughed
"She wasn't" Jack said
I smiled and turned around to find Jack standing up with two slushies in his hands.
"Who the hell are you?" One asked
"I think the real question is, who the hell are you two?" Jack chuckled
"Get away, can't you see we're trying to talk to her." One of them said
I dropped my book and stood up, I walked over to Jack and kissed him on the cheek. I took the slushie from him and held it in my hands.
"Now," I began
I walked over to them, "I believe I said, SCREW OFF"
I poured my cup over their heads, making their blonde hair stained blue.
They screeched and ran away shouting, "My hair!"
Or, "Crazy bitch!"
Or, "What the hell!"
I made sure not to step on the slushie on the sand. Jack simply kicked sand on top of it,
"Good riddance." Jack laughed
"What? I can't just let them hit on me." I said
We sat down and Jack was kind enough to share his slushie with me.
After a while, Jack and I decided to join everybody else in the water. Today was a good day.
Two days later...
Jack POV:
Today was the last full day in Atlantica. Ariel's taking us tonight to a club her sisters would go to a few years ago. We haven't done much today, Elsa and I went on a walk and then we went out to eat. It's around eight at night right now, and I'm supposed to be getting ready. Instead, I'm just watching TV and eating pizza from the food bar. The club isnt like a "club", Ariel describes it as a place where you can just go to to enjoy music and dance without worrying about alcohol and who brought drugs.
It was a pretty casual club, I grabbed a light blue t-shirt and jeans. I put on my clothes and put on a pair of convers. I messed with my hair for a bit and all of the guys walked downstairs to meet the girls. I walked beside Elsa, us and Ariel's sisters were all going to the club. It wasn't far, so we walked.
When we got there, Elsa pulled down her black dress and fixed her hair.
I chuckled and we went inside. The music was loud! Really loud!
But, it wasn't regular pop music you would hear at a regular club, this was calypso. Calypso was really fun actually.
Everyone parted ways and they began to dance on their own. I walked towards Elsa and we began dancing,
Suddenly, everyone burst into a conga. Elsa shrugged and joined the line.
At the end of the night, everyone walked home. We got to the lodge and went to our rooms. Tomorrow, we would all leave.
