"I'm sorry you're what?" Christina says with a lovely cocktail of both attitude and dismay. We sit in the kitchen eating breakfast that all changed when they asked what happened with Four last night.
"Friends, Christina it's not a big deal." I clarify as I take a bite out of my toast. I look to Shauna for help but she just shakes her head at me with a smirk on her face.
"No big deal!" Christina continues now waving her hands in the air. "No big deal would be going to see Caleb for the weekend. This is a crisis." Christina says loudly and I cringe.
"You've just created a small hurricane and it's loud and everyone can see it or will see it." Christina says in a 'I see it now' voice.
"Christina shut up. Tris what did Four say?" Shauna holds her hand up to shush Christina and to let me talk. I sigh dramatically.
"He wasn't okay with it at first." I say and they both look at me intently. "And." They both say to get me to continue. Do I say it?
"Then he was okay with it." I say and look down at my toast. The both simultaneously lean in and look at me expectantly and I put down my half eaten slice of toast on my plate.
"After what?" Shauna says and I hate her for a moment for asking. "After he kissed me one last time." I say then all hell breaks loose.
"What?" "Where?" "When?" "Did you enjoy it?" They say all together and I laugh as I raise my hands up to silence them.
"Will the both of you shut up please." I say and they both stop talking and stare at me. "He just wanted one more kiss that is all it doesn't mean anything and it never will." They both frown when I say this and I almost feel bad about it.
"He obviously like you Tris and I remember not to long ago what was it a couple of weeks that you were into him what changed?" Shauna asks and Christina watches me intently.
"I just don't want to lose his friendship again." I say picking up my toast. I finish my toast and stand walking and putting my dish in the dishwasher. I head upstairs to get ready for today's game.

"Have you taken a test yet?" Shauna asks as she puts her last shoe on. "No I'm not sure if I want to find out yet." I tell her picking up my jacket. "Tris maybe you should you need to tell Tori ask her what to do." She offers and I sigh. "You're right I need to do this and figure out what's happening." I say and she hands me the waiting test from the bottom draw in my bedside table.

"Shit." I say out loud in the bathroom, in my hand the positive pregnancy test. "What does it say?" Christina says from behind the door. "It's positive." I say as I open the door she's standing next to Shauna. "It's going to be okay Tris really." I stare at her in disbelief. "How is any of this okay?" I ask. "My career is ruined and not to mention I told the father that we should to stick to being friends." I place my hand to my forehead. "I'm so stupid."

The energy in the locker room was light and excitable as we walked in. I knew that some of the boys team were here and most had just finished practice but others wanted to watch our game.
Christina and I laughed as we walked towards the field but stop momentarily when we spot Four and Uriah standing next to Max in the dugout. Tori on the other side of the dugout talking with Nita.
"Oh what a coincidence Four's come to support his friend." Christina said exaggerating the friend part with a laugh as she starts to walk towards the dug out. Shauna sits beside me when we enter and Four comes to stand in front of me. "Excited?" He asks as I grab my things from my kit. I look up at him and smile. "Yeah I'm surprised to see you though."
He smiles and lifts his hand to rub the back of his head. "Yeah Max asked Uriah and I if we wanted to help out and we said yes you know Uriah wants to see Marlene more and I thought you can use the support." He smiles down at me.
"Thanks Four." I tell him as Tori calls us to hear our positions for today. I was going to be pitcher for the last half and Christina was my catcher. I was also third to last batter in the roster. I decided it would be best to tell Tori now before the game actually starts.
"Um Tori can I speak to you in private please." I ask her after she stops speaking to Max and Uriah. She walk with me to just outside hearing range of the dug out. "What's up Tris?" She says when we stop. "Um there is actually something I need to tell you, I'm pregnant." I say not looking her in the eye. She just looks at me. "Really, how long?" She asks surprised. "A couple of weeks I know it's early but I just wanted to let you know." I say and I play with my fingers subconsciously.
"Yeah it's fine Tris you just need to take it easy are you able to play today?" She asks with concern. "Yeah of course I can." I say and she hugs me and smiles. "Congratulations Tris." She pauses and looks and me her smile growing bigger. "Who's the father?" She questions and I look down immediately she laughs. "Four." I say and her eyes widen. "Really does he know?" She asks and I nod my head no, she just pats my shoulder and we walk back to the dugout. I go back on the bench and take out one of my many water bottles taking a sip as the game begins.

It was the top of the fourth innings when I was called to switch with Kee the other pitcher for today's game. Christina and I throw a couple of practice balls before actually starting the innings.
Several players had gone through and we were at our second out and only one to go. Third base was loaded and so was first. I tightened my grip on my board.
It was her turn and I had a bad feeling about her batting. I readjust my mit as I stand on the mound. I look to Shauna who stares at me from her position at first base and gives me a look. I smile at her weakly and turn to face Lauren.
The glint in her eye make me want to throw up as her smirk takes over half of her face. I smile to my self as I throw a fast ball straight at her.
Lauren bunted the ball heading straight for first base. Shauna runs after the ball and throws it towards me as I move towards first base as I catch the ball and step on the plate as Lauren barges into me.
Her elbow hits my abdomen hard knocking the wind out of me. I had fallen to the floor the in a heap. Clutching my stomach as I lie on the floor. I hear Tori and Shauna yelling and the crowd screaming at Lauren.
"Tris are you okay?!" Shauna says when she gets to me. "Yeah I'm fine just help me up please." I say to her and Tori when they get to me. "Oops sorry Tris." Lauren says in her overly sweet voice. I don't even bother to look at her when I walk back to the dugout and drink some water before walking back out on the field.
"Tris wait." I hear Tori behind me. I look at her and she glances towards my stomach. "Shouldn't you take a break and get checked out." She says after a moment, I brush it off. "I'm fine trust me." I tell her truthfully and walk out onto the field...
