Baby Grey… Already?
Loads of responses to the last chapter, as well! It was lovely hearing all of those reviews from you all. I hope you've been enjoying the story so far… It's great hearing from you. Apart from the one reviewer who left this massive review on teaching me how to use a dictionary, and then a thesaurus. I know I am more of an amateur writer, and maybe I use words wrong in the story. I apologise. I also know how to use a dictionary. And a thesaurus too. I hate ranting at the start of a story like this, and it's horrible that I have to do this. Forgive me. That review will be deleted because of how shallow someone can be. If you have a problem with me writing, PM me and tell me how I can improve it! Hope you have fun reading this chapter too~ BTW: I'm changing the due date for Ana, because I calculated it wrong. It's now May the 17th. Ana is 29 weeks. Please forgive me for not writing for so long. I've been terribly busy and my life has been eating up on me!
Chapter 37 – Difficulty
MPOV
I stroke Austin's hair as I'm sat next to him in the hospital. I've been coming here for a the last week or so, telling Austin absolutely everything and only Ana has been so supportive of me. Of course, everyone else has been supportive, but Ana's the one that's been coming to the hospital with me, sitting, waiting for me outside. I can't repay for what she's done. She really does look great, glowing and all.
"Please, Austin. I miss you so much. I miss your hugs, your kisses and your voice. I miss those gorgeous green eyes. I need to see them. I need to see you. I need to see you wake up." A nurse walks in and checks on Austin. "Oh my!" The nurse exclaims. She writes down a few things down on Austin's charts. "His vitals are fine, but there has been brain activity, today the most. It's close now, Miss Grey." I smile happily. I know that Austin is so close to waking up. I'm so happy. "Thank you." I say. Ana peeks her head through the door. "I saw the nurse come out. She looked happy." Ana smiles at me. She eyes down Austin and smiles. "Austin, you gotta get better. You gotta wake up and open your eyes so Mia knows you're there." Ana says gently.
I feel Austin's hand close gently on mine. "Oh God," I whisper. "He just squeezed my hand." I look up at Ana. She beams at me, and nods. I know what to do. "Please wake up, baby. I'm here. I'm waiting for you." I say, tears threatening. The tears are going to overflow from my eyes and Ana rubs my shoulder in supportiveness. "Please, Austin. Please," I beg. His hand closes on mine once more and his eyelashes flutter. "Come on, Austin. You can do this. I'm here. Wake up for me." I say with encouragement. His chocolate brown hair has gotten a lot longer and he needs to get it cut. His hand squeezes mine harder and I see his eyelids half open. "Austin, you're almost there. Please." I beg once more, squeezing his hand. He does it back, and I watch his eyes open fully. He winces at how bright the room is so Ana dims the lights a little. "Oh God," I cry, tears pouring down my face. "Hi, hunbun." He whispers. I sigh with relief and Ana is beaming. "I'm gonna go tell a nurse he's awake." Ana leaves the room. "Baby, I missed you so much," I say tearfully. Austin looks so weak and pale right now. "What happened? I don't remember." he asks me. I shake my head. "I'm glad you don't remember right now." The nurse walks in and smiles. "Austin, you're awake! Mrs and Miss Grey have been waiting a long time for you to wake up, sir."
APOV
"Christian?" I burst into the phone. "Hi baby," he says back. "Austin woke up!" I say really excitedly. "Really? Are you gonna go home now? I'm working later tonight." I look at my watch. It's almost 7. "Yes. But Mia won't want to go home." Christian chuckles. "I sorted it. I asked Dr Delaware to make up a guest bed, for like when parents want to stay with their children whilst there in hospital, for Mia. She'll stay there tonight, and I've asked her to put a bag of clothes by the door, so the driver can go and get it to bring for her tomorrow. Happy?" I giggle down the phone. "You're so considerate. I'll be going home soon. Is Sawyer picking me up?" He clears his throat. "Yes, honey. Be a good girl. Get some dinner when you go home, and get some rest; okay? All you've been doing is looking after my sister, and I thank you so very much."
I can practically hear his smile through the phone. "You're welcome." I yawn. "I'm tired, I'm gonna go. I'll see you in bed, Mr Grey." I breathe. "Yes, you will." I smile. "Bye, baby." And he hangs up. He must be busy. Oh well. I peer through the door again. "I'm gonna go. I'm exhausted," I wave awkwardly at the couple snuggled together in the hospital bed. "Get well soon, Austin. Watch that ankle of yours, and your head." I smile. Mia slowly climbs out of bed and opens the door fully to hug me. "Thank you so much, Ana. I love you." She says. I smile and hug her back. It's really lovely having someone like Mia around. Not only is she one of my best friends, but she's family. A sister, someone I can always rely on. She's so lovely. Bless her. "I love you too." I whisper back.
Sawyer drives me home finally and he has to wake me from my very comfortable sleep in the back of the car. I get out of the car and make my way into the house. Gail has dinner waiting for me. She's made me grilled chicken, with a cheese sauce and vegetables. She'd made some to bring upstairs to the staff floor above the garage, but I tell her to eat with me. "Gail, I'm so far along now. Tomorrow I have an appointment with Dr Greene, to check how everything's going. Christian already told me he can't go because of a really important meeting that's been scheduled for so long, and it can't be moved whatsoever. I'm scared." I say, whilst eating a couple of mouthfuls of chicken and vegetables. Gail touches my hand. "Don't be scared, Ana. Everything will be fine. You know it will. What are you most scared of?"
She asks me quietly. "The birth. Waking up at night. Not being a very good mommy." I shrug. Gail rubs my hand again. "You'll be fine, Ana. You'll be a lovely mommy. Besides, Mr and Dr Grey will be extremely happy with their new grandson. Everyone will, it'll be like a new toy." I gape at her. "My baby will not be just any toy, he'll be the Grey toy." I giggle. Gail laughs and we both finish our dinners.
CPOV
I get home at about 9, close to 10pm. I find Ana all curled up in the duvet. I jump in the shower and get into bed next to Ana. "Christian," she mumbles. I smile and hug her close to me. I stroke her baby bump and she sighs in her sleep. I know Ana has an appointment tomorrow for our baby and I'm gutted that I can't make it. I feel so bad. But there's a really important meeting that could mean sealing a massive deal between 3 companies including mine, and it'll bring home so much more money. Probably about 3-4 million dollars home. It'll be great.
Ana mumbles in her sleep again and I tuck her in the blanket so she's warm enough. "I love you," I whisper, kissing her forehead. I'm so happy it's not anyone else having my baby. Ana's the one for me. She's made for me. Her body squirms a little bit and she ends up sleeping on my chest. I chuckle lightly at her and rub her back as she sleeps deeply on top of me. I don't even mind. She moans in her sleep and her whole body squishes mine. Her soft waves of hair gently fall onto my chest and I gently kiss her forehead. She snuggles up closer to me and I hold her close to me. I swear I hear her whisper "peanut butter" under her breath as she sleeps. I smirk at her gorgeous pregnant body and she sleeps soundly on top of me.
APOV
I wake up tangled in a Christian mess, groggy and hair all over the place. "Good morning, baby." I hear Christian's voice from beneath me. "Hm?" I mumble, and I realise that half of me is literally on top of Christian. "Shit!" I curse, pushing myself off of him and onto my side of the bed. "Sorry. Did I sleep like that on top of you for the whole time?" I ask sheepishly. "Yes… But you kept me lovely and warm-my girl." He whispers in my ear. He shifts so his body is hovering above mine and he kisses me all over. "What are you doing?" I giggle. "Kissing you. To say thank you for being such a good sister in law to my baby girl."
He chuckles as he kisses me and removes my panties, t-shirt and bra, so I was literally naked. His fingers suddenly delve inside of me and I cry out. His fingers curl inside of me, rubbing that special spot that felt so good. "Christian," I mumble as he kisses my neck and finally sucks onto my nipples. It's so sensitive and it feels way too good. "Oh god," I shiver. I orgasm, the pleasure riding in and out of me as he carries on rubbing and sucking at me. I notice that his tongue flicks onto my nipple and he comes up for air, licking his lips. "Mmm…" he groans. My eyes widen. Oh shit. I know what's happened. I read about women leaking. Dr Greene told me too. Ew. I look at Christian with horror as he groans at the taste of my…my… juices? He chuckles at me. "Baby, you taste way too sweet. You taste delicious." I gasp and he nibbles at my neck. "Stop being embarrassed, there's nothing wrong with that. So what? I read that when pregnant women orgasm, they tend to… leak a little bit. And you do. It's okay," he comforts me.
"What's the matter?" He asks gently, nuzzling my breasts. "No… I… I can't." I say. He looks disappointed but he nods slightly in understanding. "I'm sorry," I whisper, feeling on the edge of tears. "Shhh, it's okay. You can't always be at my beck and call." I look away from him in shame. "Look at me, baby." I look at him slowly and I feel so bad. "It's not your fault, Ana. I get it, okay?" he gently kisses me and gets up to shower, leaving me naked in bed.
AUPOV
I wake up from another deep sleep and find Mia asleep on a smaller hospital cot, next to my bed. She looks beautiful. I am in so much pain. My head is pounding, my ankle sore and aching. I grab the control from the side of the bed and sit myself up. I smile at Mia. She stirs and wiggles around in bed, and stretches. She finally sits up and rubs at her eyes, groggy and tired. I realise how tired and stressed that she is. She has dark circles under her eyes and she looks paler, thinner. "Good morning." I say hoarsely. "Hey," she whispers. "You're already awake," she states, looking at me. She frowns at me and I smile weakly.
"How are you feeling?" I shrug. "In pain. Achy, my head is pounding and my ankle is sore." She sighs and looks really hurt all of a sudden. "I am so sorry this happened to you." She says quietly. "It wasn't even your fault. I don't actually remember what happened. Tell me what happened?" I ask. She sighs, her eyes gazing somewhere else. "You were driving, and some driver who had been driving all night was tired and he crashed straight into you outside Christian's building. You had some injuries towards your head and you'd been out for a week." Mia says quietly.
"Wait, I crashed my car? Fuck!" I shouted. Mia suddenly looks so very angry. "You care more about your fucking car than what happened to you? What the fuck is wrong with you?!" She shouts. I sigh. "Mia, I just worked hard for that car. You know that I did." I say softly. She looks down at her knees and sniffs. "Baby… Don't cry." I say gently. I wish I could get out of bed and comfort her. She sniffs and wipes a few tears away. "If anything worse happened to you, Austin. I don't think I could live with it. Just… let me deal with this, okay?" she sobs. "Come here, baby." She shakes her head. "I don't want to hurt you. Your ankle, your IV."
I frown at her. "Mia." I call quietly. She shakes her head. I pull off the blanket from my hips and shuffle over to one side of the bed. "Mia, love. Get here." She stands out of the cot bed thing and gingerly climbs into bed with me. I pull her to my chest as she sobs. "Shhh… it's okay now. Hush, now, love." She cries softly into the fucking ridiculous hospital gown I'm wearing. I stroke her back and she finally quietens. "Sorry. I don't know why you're not crying, baby. You're the one who's hurt." I chuckle and I kiss her softly.
She laughs a little bit. "You're wearing a hospital gown…" she states, and I can hear the smirk inside her speech. "Shut up. You're just jealous of my very fabulous fashion style." Mia laughs and a nurse comes in. "You're not meant to be in bed with him. He's injured!" Mia gapes at her and I frown at the nurse. "Let her be. She's not hurting me." The nurse looks really angry. "I will escort you out of this room personally if you don't get out of the bed." This nurse is feisty. I think I even heard her say "and the room too." Mia reluctantly gets out of the bed, and I see that she's in her pyjamas.
She looks upset. "I'll leave you be. I'll wash up and leave. I'll come back later." She says quietly. She sniffs softly and walks into the bathroom. The nurse checks me all over, feeling my ankle and head, taking my blood pressure, and checking my IV. I am in fucking hell. Jesus Christ. Mia comes out of the bathroom. "Mia! Don't leave." The nurse glares at me and Mia smiles a little bit. "It's okay. The nurse is a total bitch, so I'd rather go home and come back later. I'm going to see CHRSTIAN GREY, who is my brother, and arranged for me to sleep in this room with my boyfriend last night." She emphasises and the nurse's eyes widen and she turns around to look at her.
I chuckle silently and watch her gorgeous ass flounce out of the room.
APOV – 11:30am
"Good luck at the appointment, my precious." Christian texted me. I know as soon as I get there it'll be my turn and I don't even care anymore. I love going first. It's great. I walk over to the desk. "Hello." I greet. The nurse smiles at me. "Hello. Can I help you?" I clear my throat. "I'm Ana Grey. I have an appointment with Dr Greene." She looks down at the list and her eyes widen. "Of course. I do apologise, there's someone with Dr Greene at the moment. Would you mind waiting a few minutes?" She asks quietly and nervously. "No, not at all." She nods. "Take a seat, Mrs Grey."
I sit and look at everyone who is there. There is a very young girl who I suspect got pregnant and is sat with her mom who looks really stressed. A few happy couples and one lady who is sat by herself, dabbing at her tears. I feel sorry for her. I wonder if she is okay. I walk over to her and offer her a tissue. "Are you alright?" I look at her. She looks as if she's only very newly pregnant. About 15-16 weeks. Just a small bump. She sniffs and takes the tissue. "Mind if I sit with you?" She shakes her head and wipes her eyes. "Are you okay?" She shakes her head. "You look really upset. Is there anything I can help you with?" I ask her quietly.
She shakes her head. "I recently got engaged. We found out I got pregnant and the guy cheated on me. I saw them. They were in our bed." She shrugs. "He promised he would be with me. To father the child. To look after me. I called everything off." She sobs a little and out of comfort I rub her back. "I am so sorry. How far along are you?" She clears her throat. "About 12 weeks." I wasn't right. "Is there anything I can do for you?" She sighs. "To help me decide if I should get rid of this baby or not." She whispers.
I shake my head. "No. Don't. At the end of the pregnancy you'll be blessed with a beautiful child, just as beautiful as you are. Okay, maybe the guy that ditched you wasn't as great as you thought he was, but it doesn't mean that you're not strong enough to do this by yourself. You'll be a great mom. I might not know you very well, but even people who have been through everything that can hurt them will be the best parents. Don't terminate the baby. Think of the consequences, and think of the blessings. You'll get to watch your child grow up." I watch her stare at me. She smiles a little bit, and suddenly she throws her arms around me. "Anastasia Grey." A nurse calls out. I grab a business card out of my purse and scribble my private number on the card. "Call me if you need to talk. I'll be waiting. By the way, what is your name?" I ask quietly. "My name's Carrie. Thank you much," she looks at the business card. "Ana." She says. I smile and leave for my appointment.
When I enter the room, Dr Greene immediately greets me. "Sorry for not having you in sooner. I had a very… difficult patient." She says gently. "No problem at all." I reply, smiling and making my way to have a seat by the desk. She opens my file. "Any new symptoms?" I clear my throat. "Very bad back pains, cramps when I'm stressed, and a new one recently, is constipation." I say without any embarrassment. She jots all of this down. "Okay. How bad would you say your constipation is?" I sigh. "I had it before. I ate plenty of vegetables and had a couple of prunes once every now and then. That worked fine, but recently it's been horrible. I can't even go." I say simply. I haven't told this to Christian at all. He'd probably laugh. "Right. Okay." She says as she jots things down. "Do you want to remove your shoes, so I can weigh you?" I gape at her.
"Can we skip that step?" I ask her quietly. She chuckles. "I'm sorry, no. It's important to find out what you weigh." I sigh, but nod in agreement. "Okay." I whisper, gently removing my flats and walking over to the scales. Dr Greene walks over to help me up onto the scale and adjust everything. "148… yep. 148. You've put on 28 pounds so far. You put on 3 pounds since the last weigh in." I groan inwardly and she notices my expression. "Ana, putting on weight whilst pregnant is normal. Some women put on far more weight than you are. You should be putting on 25-35 pounds and what you've put on is completely normal." I sigh. "I love being pregnant… but also hate it too." She laughs a little. "Okay. Ultrasound and then we should be done."
I walk over to the bed and lay down, whilst Dr Greene sets everything up. She squirts gel on, and starts to scan my bump. I look up at monitor and smile. "There he is." Dr Greene states. "He's growing ever so perfectly, Ana. He's about 14-15 inches. His heartbeat is spot on too." She leaves me to clean up as she fills in some paperwork in my file and I walk back over to the desk, taking a seat. "Right, everything is fine, Ana. I'm very happy with everything that's happening right now. But you must be careful for your blood pressure, and stressors. I don't want anything bad to happen since you're so close now." I nod in agreement and listen very carefully. Christian would be noting all of this down if it was possible. Jesus. "But about this constipation, you should keep doing what you're doing, and if it's necessary, spend time in the toilet. But I will prescribe a laxative for you. You can use this when it's completely necessary."
I nod. I leave the doctor's office to go home and whilst sat in the back of Sawyer's SUV, Christian calls me. "Hi baby," he says. "Hi," I say back quietly. "How was the appointment?" he asks. I can hear a woman speaking in the background. What is happening here? "Andrea, I'm busy." Oh. It was Andrea. I didn't think he was cheating… at all… "It went great, thank you. I put on 3 pounds, Christian!" I whine. He chuckles. "I like you fat. More of you to grab of." I groan loudly into the phone. "Stop being gross, you're meant to tell me I'm not fat!" I laugh. I hear him laugh loudly into the phone. "You're not fat. You're perfect, honey. Mia came over when you were at your appointment and Mom's asked us to go for a barbecue dinner tonight. Everyone will be there."
I'm silent for a little while. "Food?" I ask. "You're bound to put on more weight, Ana." He says. I laugh. "No, I'm excited. I'm hungry." I giggle. "I'll see you in a few hours. Bye, baby." He says. "Bye, baby," I emphasise, and make kissy sounds into the phone. I hear him laughing and I hang up the phone.
CPOV
I come home at 5:30pm to find Ana nowhere downstairs. I see Gail in the kitchen. "Good evening, Gail." I greet. "Good evening, Mr Grey." She says. "Where is Ana?" I ask, glancing around the kitchen and outside in the garden. "She's been upstairs since she ate lunch. She took a bag of sweets upstairs and a bottle of VitaminWater from the fridge. I don't know what's going on." Gail says guiltily. "Okay." I say, walking quickly up the stairs. I walk into our bedroom, and I notice the ensuite light is on. I walk inside to find Ana sat on the toilet with her iPad and…foods on the counter. "Hello." I say. She jumps and almost drops her iPad. "Jesus Christ!" She shouts trying to catch her breath as she jumps.
"Why would you do that?!" She shouts. I chuckle. "Sorry. Gail says you haven't been down since lunch. Why have you made a refuge in our ensuite?" I ask her. She blushes. "I went to the appointment today and Dr Greene asked me if I had any new symptoms. I said yes." She barely whispers. "What's been going on?" I ask her. She blushes again. "Constipation. I've had it like this before but this time it's really bad. I can't even change my diet to help it." She blushes a very deep red and I walk over to her and peck her cheek. "How long have you sat on the toilet for?" I ask her quietly. She giggles. "An hour after I got home. I was watching a film." I look down at her iPad and smile. "We gotta go in a little while. We can start getting ready… unless you want to stay here on the toilet for a little longer…" I suggest and she giggles. "I'm just gonna get this over with. You may have to use the main bathroom…" She says as she takes a pill from the packet. I pick it up and eye the package. My eyebrows raise in surprise and she looks very embarrassed.
"Take your time." I say, kissing her on the cheek.
At about 6:30, Ana comes downstairs in a sundress and some flats looking very content. "Hello, beautiful." I say. I sweep her off her feet and swing her around the living room. She squeals and I can see the happiness literally glowing off her face. "You look happy." I say. "I had a very nice bath, and I used new very fancy body wash stuff, and I am wearing a new maternity dress, and I pooped. You tell me why I shouldn't be happy." She replies. I burst into laughter. "It's my job to make you happy. If you like all the fancy body wash stuff, I'll get you boxes and boxes to wash you until you're fucking silly." She giggles. "You have a very dirty mouth, you dirty boy. Maybe I should wash it out with the fancy body wash. Wash you until YOUR mouth goes fucking clean." I gasp in mock shock, and I swing her around again.
"I'm hungry!" she shouts. "Put me down and drive me to your mom's!" she squeals.
APOV
"They're starting the barbecue at 8 until late. They expect us to stay for a while, maybe even overnight. Are you hungry now?" Christian asks me. I shrug. "Yeah. I want peanut butter. And… celery." Christian looks over at me and his massive HD smile comes out. "Alright." He says. I shrug and start humming to the quiet music. "Dr Greene told me I was 148 pounds. 148! 148! Do you realise how much that is!?" I yell. He chuckles. "You're not fat." He says, smiling. "We're almost there now." Christian says quietly.
When we pull up, Grace is already greeting us in and I smile. "My angel," Grace says, kissing me on both of my cheeks. "How was the appointment? Christian told me." I frown. "It was horrible, I had to actually listen to her tell me how much I weighed." Grace laughs lightly and hugs Christian. "Come in, celery's on the table." My eyebrows rise and Grace takes my hand gently to the kitchen. I stand around whilst watching Grace get everything ready to take outside whilst I dip my celery into the peanut butter.
Elliot walks into the kitchen and hugs me. "Hi chubbadee." I frown at him and he laughs. "I swear to God, Elliot, if you call me fat again, you won't be calling me Chickadee or Chubbadee anymore. You won't even wake to see the sun shine again." I say in my most threatening voice. He kisses both of my cheeks as I frown at him. "Hm, Ana Tyson coming round again?" He asks hugging me. "Stop fondling my wife, and let her eat celery." Christian's voice comes into hearing as Elliot lets go of me. Christian takes me into his arms and I look up at him, pouting. "Elliot's being mean to me!" I whine like a child. He laughs. "Stop bullying my wife, you prick!" Christian laughs.
"Christian, language," Grace scolds. "Sorry," He grimaces and I giggle. "You got yelled at," I tease. He growls and pulls me into a kiss. Kate walks into the kitchen and makes a dash for me. "Ana!" she squeals and I hug her back. She kisses both of my cheeks. "You hot momma!" she says, looking me up and down, eyeing my dress. "Shut up, I'm fat, according to your boyfriend." She scowls at Elliot and he holds his hands up. "Where's Mia?" I ask Christian. "I thought she was coming tonight." He lets out a breath of air. "No, she's not. Austin's having an x-ray and she wants to be there. I think they're having takeout or something." Christian nips me at my neck. "I'm gonna go help Dad. You stay here, eat celery okay?" Kate looks at the plate of celery and peanut butter next to me. She takes a celery stick and dips it into the peanut butter. She takes a bite and makes a disgusted face. "That's fucking disgusting, Ana!" She bursts into laughter and shoves the celery stick in my mouth.
"Dinner!" Elliot shouts. Kate takes my hand and we walk outside. The table is surrounded by loveseats and garden chairs. I'm guessing Grace and Carrick got more garden furniture. It's lovely. I sit down in a garden loveseat and Christian is about to sit with me when he suddenly stands abruptly. "Dad, those steaks you've got on the grill. What meat is it?" Carrick turns around and his eyebrows furrow at Christian. "Beef for the majority and a couple of lamb chops. Why?" Christian takes my hand and we sit right at the end of the table. "I don't want you getting nauseous or sick whilst we're here, okay?" Christian says gently, kissing my neck and softly on my mouth.
"What are you in the mood for?" Christian asks. "Dad's doing steak, and wings." I shrug. "Surprise me. No lamb," I say sternly. He chuckles. "Steak and a couple of wings? Mom's probably done some salad-y stuff." I smile. "I'll have whatever you're having. Is salad-y even a word?" I ask teasingly. His HD smile comes back out and he laughs. "It is now. How much salady stuff would you like? Turn over the menu, there's many salady dishes on the back." He says in an animated voice. "It works." He states and I throw my head back in laughter. Suddenly, everyone comes gather around the table, grabbing their plates. Christian leaves with both of our plates to go over to Carrick and he dishes up a meat for us.
"Precious, what are you eating?" Grace says as she puts some of the salady stuff down. "Christian's got it sorted." I say, grinning. "Of course he does. He always does. Grace kisses me on the cheek. I'm so glad he's looking after you so well." Christian comes back with food and my meat looks darker than his. "Why is mine well done, and yours is medium?" Oh no. Here comes the lecture. I shouldn't have even asked. "Ana, I am not letting you eat uncooked meat." I sigh. "Okay, okay, keep your hair on, Grey." Everyone comes back down with their meals and sits with us. Dinner goes really well with jokes, chattiness and at one point, Christian fed me dinner. He holds up his fork. "Here you go, baby." He says and puts a forkful of food in my mouth and I chew happily, the flavours dancing on my tongue and I swallow, my stomach and Blip feeling very happy. "Oop!" I exclaim. Christian looks at me, concerned. "Are you okay?" Grace asks.
I giggle. "I think Blip agrees with your cooking, Carrick." Carrick beams and chuckles.

Dinner went on for a good 2 hours, since it was a warm evening and everyone snacked on salads and chicken wings. I turn to Ana who was eating a wing and Elliot chuckles. "Enjoying that, Chickadee?" he asks teasingly as he pinches his own cheeks. Another term to call Ana fat. What was happening tonight? Ana frowns and wipes her fingers on a napkin. She snuggles up to me and everyone starts deciding on baby names for OUR baby. Okay, that's pissing me off.
"How about Isaac?" Kate suggests. "No, Jimmy." Elliot says laughing. I clear my throat. "If you dare call my son Jimmy at any time in his life, I will seriously injure you, Elliot David Grey." I threaten. Ana giggles. "Do you have a middle name?" She asks. I shake my head. "I know you do. Rose. My Ana Rose." She snuggles up closer and I kiss her softly on the lips. Elliot and Kate both make retching sounds and starts imitating us. "Mmmm… My Katie Agnes…" Elliot mimics, and Ana bursts into laughter. "Agnes!" Ana exclaims, laughing so hard that her whole body is shaking. I chuckle with her and suddenly Kate and Elliot's kissing has moved to a massive make out session. Both Ana and I make retching sounds this time.
"Okay, all of you go inside and let me tidy up, before you throw up everywhere." Mom says. I take Ana's hand to go inside and we settle on the big sofa together. I hold her close to me so that half of her body is placed on top of me. Elliot and Kate come in and they start making out on the sofa like predicted. Ana smiles at me. "I love you, so much. I really do, my Ana Rose." She giggles, lifting her head and kissing me gently. "I love you too, Christian. So much. Blip loves you too," She says. Elliot laughs. "Comfortable, Christian?" he asks, noticing that Ana is literally on top of me.
Ana frown and takes a trembling breath. I stroke her back as she tries to fight tears. "Why do you keep verbally attacking me? What have I done wrong? Gotten pregnant?!" Ana shouts at Elliot, pushing herself off of me and walking blindly to the kitchen. I watch her wipe tears away. Kate slaps Elliot on the shoulder. "Look what you did!" Kate shouts. Ana must be extremely upset. Especially that she had her appointment today and how she found out she put more weight on. Fucking hell. "I was kidding with her! I didn't know she was going to react like that." I walk up to Elliot who is on the sofa and hit him around the head. "Fucking prick," I murmur. "She's fucking pregnant. Of course she's going to react like that. Besides, you've been ripping off on her all night."

I watch Ana walk into the kitchen, wiping tears away as she heads outside. "What's the matter, Angel?" I ask her quietly. She smiles weakly. Something's really upset her. Christian? Elliot? Kate? Maybe she's feeling unwell. "I'm okay. I just need a little air." She sniffs. I pull her into a hug. "Ana, something's upset you. Tell me what's happened." She closes her eyes in agony and sniffs. "Pregnancy is so hard, Grace!" She says in between sobs. "I'm emotional all the time, and I'm massive, and going to be bigger," she cries.
"It's not helpful when sometimes I can't even dress myself because my back aches, or I need Christian's help and he's not there. Sometimes at home I feel unwell and I don't know how to deal with it, and I can't even speak to him about it because I'm scared he's going to go haywire and take me to the hospital to get checked up or something when I know it's completely normal. I don't know how to do this, Grace! Sometimes, I'm too embarrassed to talk to Christian because I'm scared he'll laugh at me and I can't do it! I can't do it, Grace!" And right there, I watched my own daughter in-law break down in front of me.
Her knees buckle and I quickly help her to steady herself. I pull her into my arms and hold her close. "Shh… Ana, you're doing fine. You're doing so well, and you're so close to meeting your baby now. If you want to talk, you can always come to me, hm?" I gently stroke her back as I hug her. I turn both of our bodies a little to find Christian looking ashen. He steps out into the gravel and it crunches. Ana gently untangles herself from her hug and stares at Christian as she wipes tears away. "Why didn't you tell me?" he says in agony.

I pull Ana into my arms and she sobs into my shoulder. "Baby, I'm here. I always am. Why didn't you tell me? Why did you bottle everything up? Elliot didn't mean anything he said. You're not fat. You're not heavy. You're the most perfect girl I've ever been with. This is why I married you. Ana, you're pregnant. It's even worse to bottle up your emotions now. You don't have to be embarrassed when you cry, or when you laugh, or if you're uncomfortable. Ana, I'm your husband. I'm always going to be here for you." She sniffs and looks up at me. "I'm sorry." She whispers.
I kiss her forehead and swing her up into my arms. "Let's go to bed. I'll get Taylor to bring clothes." I carry Ana through the living room. Elliot and Kate's eyes follow me as they see a very sniffy Ana in my arms and Elliot stands to apologise. I shake my head at him and take Ana upstairs to get her ready for bed.

I storm into the living room and stand right in front of Elliot. "Elliot David Grey, you upset poor Ana! She had so much bottled up inside of her and you just completely ruined it and she broke down in front of me. You best be apologising to her tomorrow. She's crying her eyes out, Elliot. I hope you feel bad and ashamed of yourself." Elliot hangs his head. "I'll apologise tomorrow. I promise. I'm sorry, Mom." He says quietly.
"That's right. I didn't raise you to be a bully, Elliot." I lean down to kiss him on the cheek. "Are you staying over, Kate?" She nods. "If you don't mind, Grace. It's okay if you want me to go home." I shake my head. "Stay, Kate. Good night," I say, walking into the kitchen. I feel so bad for Ana. She just looked so upset when she was crying. She was silly to have bottled all them emotions inside and she was so worried about everything. I didn't understand why she did though.
APOV – The next morning
I wake up to find Christian kissing my neck and gently rubbing my arm. I sigh. "Good morning, baby." He says quietly. He moves over and I start to stretch but my back stops me from doing so and I cry out a little. "I got it." Christian says, massaging the bottom of my back with his thumbs. I stretch as he does and I turn over to face him. He smiles and kisses me softly. I curl in his arms and sigh. "Sorry for last night. I…" I don't know what to say. "Shhh. Don't say sorry. You should have come and talked to me. You know you always can, baby. I love you." He says gently.
"I love you too, Christian. More than anything. You're always there for me. I know that, I know." I say kissing his nose and he chuckles. "Let's get a shower." He says, grabbing my breast.
After my shower I find a paper bag of new clothes. Taylor. I think to myself. There's a tank top, a white pregnancy shirt, and a thick knitted cardigan. I go for the tank top and cardigan because it was raining. Christian came out with only a towel wrapped around his hips and my eyes widen. I feel desire bloom inside of me even though… we'd just had shower sex. "You are so hot." I say confidently. He laughs and kisses me. "You're hotter." He whispers. I pass him his shirt and he whips it on, along with his skinny jeans. "I don't think you can look hotter." I say as he fixes his wet hair.
"I think it's possible. You've seen me in my suits." I shoot him an exasperated look. "I'm hungry. Feed me." I demand. "Yes, ma'am." We head downstairs and Christian pours himself some coffee. He passes me a mug of tea and Elliot approaches me. "Elliot, I'm sorry for overreacting last night. I didn't mean to. Please forgive me." I say smiling. His face is shocked and he pulls me into a gentle hug. "Forgive me. I wasn't very kind to you last night. I hope we can kiss and make up." He smirks and winks at me. I nod. He puckers his lips and kisses my nose, my forehead and then all across my cheeks.
I giggle and try and push him away. "Get off my wife, you manwhore." Christian growls, pushing Elliot away and marking his territory all over me again by kissing my neck.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Forgive me for not writing. I've had a lot of writers block and just left the story alone. Sorry! This chapter was all about Christian and Ana working their way through getting to know each other more than they do, which was difficult for Ana the most. I was trying to show how the pregnancy is really starting to get difficult for her and being embarrassed wasn't the excuse for not telling Christian that she was uncomfortable about something. Which explained all the poop and constipation and colostrum boob thing... etc etc.
I hope you liked it~
