Warning: I do not own 07 Ghosts in any way. Angel and Sister Ann is the only characters I own. There is some romance themes and mild language in here as well. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

AUTHOR'S NOTES- So here I am. New chapter. I actually think this is my longest. So yeah. ENJOY! (Sorry about the 40 day break.)

The commotion of the other nervous examinees echoed in the hall around me. I glanced around the room. I squeezed Teito's hand.

"Only one more part." I said smiling at him.

"Let's go," he pulled lightly on my hand and led me to one of the doors.

"EXAMINEES! HEAR MY CALL!"

"Ugh, Lance. So much wasted air," Teito turned to face the tall blonde and dramatic bishop examiner. I giggled.

"You have passed many difficult trials and have braved a daring question and came out on top! SO now! Welcome to the end of the Bishop Exam! This hall will provide the last test for you. You shall finish this exam ALONE however. SO prepare and GOOD LUCK!" He explained. He then waved his hands and disappeared into a puff of green smoke. Teito moved to the doorway next to me as the doors slowly creaked open. I looked into the hallway that held the darkened path and breathed in. I carefully stepped into the last part of the exam.

The dark hallway held an odd canopy made of bones. I studied the ominous and creepy cover and steadied my nerves. I walked through the cover to the middle and froze as I heard a cracking noise. I glanced around, trying to locate the source of the noise. I spotted the crack in the side of the bones next to me and it hit me what the eerie canopy was.

'It's a giant Kor.'

I rolled out of the Kor and stood up to face the giant creature. It roared and the roar shook the room. I rolled my eyes.

'The bigger they are, the harder they fall.'

I wrapped my manipulative zaiphon around it's legs and wings and pulled. A giant thud told me it collapsed. I shot a crescent of energy from my bacculus towards the creature and watched it disintegrate away. I smiled, satisfied with my results.

'Easy. Especially with all the training with Teito.'

I whistled a little tune and walked to the end of the hall and stopped, frozen as I heard a voice I never wanted to hear again.

"What? Angel. So hideous. How did I even give birth to her?"

I whirled around to see two people I had wished to meet, yet dreaded to meet, my entire life. I shrunk away from my parents.

The truth was I knew who they were. I remember every detail of why I was abandoned.

"Psh, a child of the house of the ghost who doesn't look anything like us? She's illegitimate isn't she?"

"GET RID OF HER! No one needs to know."

I clapped my hands over my ears.

"NO!"

'I don't want to hear this. No...'

I shrunk up into a ball to cover myself from the sharp memories that had cut so deeply.

How much I was hated by my own family and my disgusting mother who refused to admit she had wronged my father.

I shrank away from the sight.

"YOU, you are a creature of disgust. You think I am disgusting? YOU are a child that DOESN'T EXIST! You don't belong here with us. You aren't needed here. We have a replacement now. We don't need you. You don't belong to this family!"

I stopped.

"You're right. I don't belong there with you." I stood up and glared the elegantly dressed raven haired women. "I don't belong with you. I belong here."

"With who? No one cares about you here!"

"You're wrong. No matter how many mistakes I've made, they care."

I thought back to Frau, Castor, Sister Libelle, Athena, and Rosalie.

I smiled.

Teito.

"They care."

The women in front of me screeched, a blood curdling sound and I backed away. The woman who was my mother. A brilliant gold light blinded me and the person in front of me exploded, morphed into another person altogether.

Teito.

"I care? Why do I never share things with you? Trust you with my problems? Because you are a stepping stone in my path. The next step to my goal, and you were foolish enough to think I CARE?"

"ARGH WHAT IS WITH THIS TEST? THAT IS SO NOT TEITO!"

"Really?" I glanced back at the fake Teito and watched as his eyes became red. "You think you know my master but you don't, you fool."

"Who?"

"I am Mikhail. You are in the way to my master's path of glory. You are useless, I must remove you."

His hand grew a bone netting and I gasped at the bright red stone in his hand.

"Teito…"

I backed away from Teito up against the wall. A bright arc of red zaiphon raced towards me and I closed my eyes.

'Who am I? What am I to others? That's always been the question I have asked my entire life.'

I felt a searing pain as the zaiphon tore off my arm and my mind blanked from pain.

I screamed.

***Lance***

I studied the pool of water that reflected the tests that were occurring. Many of the examinees had dropped out already. I stared at the three most fascinating ones. A young girl named Angel, a boy teen named Jack, and a small examinee named Teito. These three had suffered through the trials of the halls but had not decided on their fate. All of a sudden the pool for Teito flashed red.

"THE BOY! HE'S ENTERED SHOCK. STOP HIS TEST!"

I looked down calmly at the teen's eyes and held back the rushed bishop.

"Look at his eyes. He hasn't given up yet."

Another red flash and another bishop yelled, "SHE'S IN SHOCK SIR, HER ARM."

I walked over to the pool that showed her situation. I studied her.

"Didn't I mark her as pass already?"

"Sir?"

"I did." I double checked my clipboard. "She already passed…What is going on?"

"She didn't defeat everything," a voice told me from the side.

I looked at Castor and Labrador next to me.

"She has more than one soul, one fear," Labrador quietly explained.

"She's more than what she looks like, Lance," Castor told me.

"Let the teacher's pet finish. She's been through harder situations before," Frau told me.

"Yeah like dealing with you."

"Oh look who's talking."

***Angel***

I covered the area where my arm was supposed to be and felt the warm blood bleeding out onto my hands. I pressed lightly, it still registering in my mind.

"Teito wouldn't do this. No. I need to stop questioning others. The intentions of the other people around me don't fully matter do they?"

Black edged my eyes and a blurry effect entered my eyes sight.

A girl in the corner of my eyes looked at me sorrowfully.

"Yes. You are you. It's doesn't matter what others say or think you are. I am myself and you are yourself. You need to know this now. For this will become important to your journey." The girl bent forward and touched my shoulder lightly. "Be you." I gasped as I felt a tearing feeling at my skin. The bone in my arm extended grotesquely and set itself correctly. The popping of bones setting and the crackles of my skin rolling over the bone echoed in the hall. My arm healed itself, repairing it's damage and the girl held her hand over my arm the entire time. I sighed as the noises stopped. "You are Angel. Not Eve. Remember that when the time comes." She told me once more and disintegrated into tiny parts. The flow of this headed towards my neck and flowed into me.

I dropped in exhaustion, I felt drained. I crawled out slowly standing up. I looked up at Teito look alike to see him gone. The creak of the door behind me told me the test was done. I had passed.

***Jack / Konatsu***

The door opened at the end for me and I stepped out to see Hyuuga.

"Sir?"

"It's time Kona-Chan!" He smiled and popped his taffy apple into his mouth. "We have a special errand."

"What?"

"To collect Eve."
