Hey everyone, I know this chapters shorter than usual, but I wanted to get something up for you all.
Another few weeks came to pass, with Emma and Regina not being able to spend much alone time together. As their parents were either around. or their friends were and then, there were the family arrangements. Especially on Regina's side. with her mother getting her to do things.
However, both girls were excited for there trip to the gallery. In which, they would be left alone and no one they knew would be there.
Saturday, December 8th, 8.33am.
Zelena pulled up outside Emma's apartment and yawned and moments later, the car door flew open and Emma jumped in the back seat, excitedly.
"Morning" she said happily and looked to Regina, who was smiling at her lovingly.
Which made Emma feel so happy, that she lunged forward and kissed her girlfriend, before whispering "Your so beautiful" and she pulled back, taking Regina hands and looking down shyly.
"Awww, look at how sweet you two are" Zelena teased, as she changed gear and the car began to move.
Meanwhile, Cora was still at home, changing into an outfit that she would never wear. She borrowed Zelena's khaki pants and put on an old coat from her own wardrobe. She also put on a brown wig and hat, that she had hidden for a week.
She knew it was silly to go to these extreme lengths, but she knew Regina wouldn't tell her straight and it niggled at her not knowing for sure. So, she decided that she would, head to the gallery and spy on them, with her disguise.
Two and a half hours later.
Zelena dropped Emma and Regina off, outside the gallery, near the waterside.
"I'll pick you guys up here at three thirty, okay?" Zelena said happily, as she could now go shopping.
"Cool" Emma said happily and Regina nodded, before closing the car door.
"Lets go" Emma then happily said, taking her girlfriends hand and leading her into the large gallery.
A further half hour later, both girls were sat in the gallery cafe, having breakfast.
"I knew you would have the most unhealthiest thing on the menu" Regina said, scrunching her nose up and the geese on the plate.
"Yeah and I knew, you would have something healthier" Emma smirked.
"We know each other to well already" Regina chuckled, then looked around, noticing that there wasn't that many people around but it was still early.
"It is good to get away for a while from everything" Regina then muttered.
Emma stuffed her mouth with a piece of bacon then said "Yeah and we get to be alone together, it's win, win" she winked.
Regina chuckled.
Once they finished their breakfast, They both walked through the art of Europe section. Which had sea blue walls and had a display of magnificent marble, lime wood and ceramic sculptures and ornate carving of beauty and wonder.
"I can see why your mom liked this place, it's spotless and her taste" Emma said seriously.
"I will look forward to telling her that" Regina teased, then asked "If you got the chance to have an exhibition, what would you do?"
Emma took her girlfriends hand and leaned into her ear and said "You would be my exhibition" and she chuckled.
Regina rolled her eyes playfully, before looking down bashfully.
"Your beautiful Regina, more beautiful then anything in this place" Emma said lovingly, as she sweetly looked at her girlfriend.
Oh my god, Regina thought and her cheeks started to blush.
"Are you blushing?" Emma said with a smirk.
"Shut up" Regina muttered and squeezed her girlfriends hand. Before they carried on walking.
Meanwhile Cora had just arrived outside the gallery and checked her hand mirror one last time, before getting out of the car and walking round and into the gallery. Where she decided to get a cup of hot coffee, before finding her daughter.
Ten minutes later, Emma and Regina walked further along the gallery and into a period room, of the Hamilton Palace Dining Room.
"Why do I suddenly feel like, this is a history lesson thing" Emma said, as they stopped at the clear cabinets of English silver on display.
"Is this even art!" Regina mumbled and Emma smirked.
"We could be a Queen and Princess in this room" Emma then said and laughed.
"And who would be the Queen? in this scenario of yours?" Regina asked curiously.
"You of course" Emma grinned goofily at the brunette, who took a deep breath and quickly pecked Emma on the cheek and said "Good"
At this, Emma felt a wave of heat, radiate through her body and she squeezed Regina's hand.
Five minutes later. they both walked into the arts of the Americas section.
"It says world's finest collections of American paintings" Regina said casually, as she narrowed her eyes around the room.
"There's more people in this section" Emma noted, seeing various adults, walking slowly around.
They then stepped forward, hand in hand, looking at abstracts and landscapes upon the walls.
"There's so many paintings" Emma said, as she gaped at all the paintings on the walls.
"Some of these look like a child as done them" Regina whispered and Emma nodded in agreement.
"Shall we go to the next section?" Regina then asked softly.
"Yeah" Emma replied with a smile and they walked off, through the doorways and down some stairs. Not knowing, that Cora had just entered the America's section.
"Oh, art of the ancient world. I think I will like this section" Regina said with interest and Emma saw the mention of weaponry on the entrance and said "Me too"
They then both glanced to one another and smiled brightly.
Two minutes later Regina said "This is definitely my favorite section, look at this" to Emma, who was staring at her.
"What?" Emma muttered, breaking out of her daze and looked down at the jewellery and curved gems on display in one of the cases.
"Oh I see" she then muttered, before returning her gaze to her girlfriends face. Seeing a smile and those brown eyes fixated on the items.
"I'm so lucky" Emma whispered and this made Regina look to her.
"No, I'm the lucky one" Regina replied and she leaned forward and whispered into Emma's ear "I'm looking forward to holding you in my arms, later" she leaned back and noticed her girlfriend licking her lips and her eyes were now staring at her mouth, so she thought she'd tease Emma a little. By slowly licking her own lips, whilst watching Emma's reaction.
Oh gods, Emma thought, as she saw her girlfriend's moist lips, begging to be kissed.
Regina chuckled at her girlfriends gawking, not noticing her mother suddenly appearing from behind and then quickly turning round, As she didn't want them to see her.
They then walked through another door way and through the sculptures, coffins, mummies, coins, weapons, architecture, vases, musical instruments, and mosaics.
"Shall we go and get some lunch?" Regina asked Emma, who was looking around and unknowingly saw Cora's back.
"Yeah, all this has made me hungry"
"I thought it would" Regina teased.
"Oi" Emma replied pretending offense and nudged her arm slightly.
Regina sighed and look Emma's hand once more and lead her out, through a corridor, through the rotunda and out into the court yard and garden cafeteria.
"It's a good job it's not raining" Emma commented, looking up at the grey sky.
"What do you want to eat?" Regina asked.
"Um, do they do grilled cheese?"
"Lets see" she smiled at Emma, who felt like the most luckiest person in the world, to have Regina as her friend and girlfriend.
Moments later however, they were arguing over who was going to pay and Emma huffed to her chair and crossed her arms in defeat.
"You paid for breakfast Emma" Regina told her, as she sat next to her on the grey two seater table.
"I know, I'm sorry. I just want to make sure you have a great day"
Regina reached out and unfolded Emma's arm and held one of her hands and said "I am. Even if we were just at home together, I would be having a great day because I'm with you" she smiled and Emma suddenly felt over the moon and loved up.
"Two grilled cheese and fries" A waitress said interrupting their moment.
Emma snapped her head up and said "That was quick"
The waitress smirked and placed the order down on the table.
"Thank you" Regina told her and she nodded and walked away, leaving both girls to tuck into their lunch and not noticing Cora in her disguise, sitting in the far corner table. Sneakily watching them, whilst drinking her new cup of coffee, which she spilled down herself minutes later, as Regina had wiped some ketchup from Emma's mouth and the blonde then pecked Regina;s lips.
Cora quickly grabbed the napkins, that were on the table and cursed, as she wiped the coffee that had spilled on her trousers and to top it off her phone started to ring and she quickly picked it up.
"Yes, Hello" she snapped.
"Hello, is everything okay honey?"
She sighed and patted her leg with the napkin.
"I have just spilled coffee on my trousers Henry"
"Oh. Are you at home?" he asked.
She paused for a moment and glanced back over to Regina and Emma, who were to busy talking to one another to notice anything else.
"I am currently out. Why?"
"I just wanted to let you know, that I will be coming back home today. Thought I'd surprise the girls and you"
"Wonderful" she smiled, then said "There's actually something I want to discuss with you, about Regina"
"Oh?" Henry replied, thinking that maybe she knows about Regina and Emma.
"All I am going to say, is, your going to be very surprised"
"Okay, we can talk about it later, as I shall be home around six"
"That's fine. I think I will be heading home now aswell"
I need to get back before everyone else does, she thought to herself.
"Speak to you later, honey, I've missed you" Henry then said.
"I've missed you too" she said softly and then ended the call, before looking back over to her daughter, who looked so happy. That she couldn't be mad at her, in that moment. So she stood up and made her way home.
