Jacob's POV:
I decide to go to the Cullens's house and wait for Nessie. She hasn't really spent time with her family lately and Emmett called her out on it saying she has forgotten that she even has a family so of course that made Nessie feel bad so she told she would the weekend with them. It was a Friday so that meant she had nothing else to do for the day but come and spend time with her family and me. Nessie was a bit late because she was at a game. I was in their living room watching football with Emmett. Emmett always had the T.V sound up so high or else he would be able to heard all the stuff going on in and out of the house. For a second there was no sound coming from T.V and that's when I heard Edward say
"Alice, what did you see?" Then the T.V sound was back. I'm guessing Emmett heard it too because he turned it off shortly after but I didn't hear Alice answer him.
"Are you sure he is coming?" Edward asked.
"He's already here" Alice said. Emmett left the room in his vampire speed.
"What's going on? Who's here?" Emmett asked. I quickly got up and I went to the other room where they were.
"Just call Rosalie and tell her to come home, I'll call Jasper and to tell the others to come home too. We have a visitor coming to see Renesmee" Alice said. Emmett and I began to get in our protective mode.
"Alice-" Emmett said but Alice cut him off.
"Don't worry, he's a friend" Alice said calm.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"You're just gonna have to wait and see" Alice said and give me a worried look then left before I could ask her why she had that face. So she just left me standing there clueless with Emmett because Edward was also gone.
An Hour Later
All the Cullens were back in the house, except for Nessie. They were all waiting Alice still had the same worried look on her face and every now and then I would caught her looking at me. Edward face was in his annoyed, protective but also worried look as well but then everyone else just seemed fine. I knew Alice and Edward were hiding something from everyone else but what was it? I was watching the News on their big flat screen when one second Alice was sitting down and the next second she wasn't. I lowered the T.V and Edward and Jasper stood up.
"Alice, Hello. It's great to see you again" I heard a very deep masculine voice say with a very strong South American accent.
"Yeah, you too. Please come in" Alice said very politely. I heard him step in then I heard footsteps approaching. Alice walked in to the room again followed by a young man maybe 19 or early 20s. He was about 6 feet tall, a little shorter than me. He was very muscular but not as muscular as me. His skin was a rich, dark brown. His wary eyes flashed across the room, and they were the color of teak black. His hair was back and cut like James Dean style. I don't know why he looked so familiar to me but then I knew why. I caught his scent.
"You still remember everyone right? Rosalie, Emmett, Edward, Bella, Carlisle, Esme and Jacob" Alice said again using her very polite voice.
"Of course" he said eyeing me.
"Nahuel... I never I thought I would see you again" Jasper said and went to give a man hug. That's right Nahuel. The other only male half-human, half-vampire hybrid that's just like Nessie. What the hell was he doing back here anyway? And why did Alice say he was here to see Nessie? I asked myself then I remembered Edward could hear every word I'm thinking and he turned to me with his devil stare and turned away.
"I was passing though and I thought I'd stop by, I hope that's okay?" Nahuel questioned.
"Yes, of course it is. Concerning the circumstances of how we all met. You are always welcome in our home" Carlisle said being Carlisle.
"I was hoping Alice would have seen me coming so I wouldn't be here unannounced" Nahuel said.
"Don't worry I did" Alice said cheery. Nahuel give Alice a light smile then looked around the room and stood there in silence. I've been around vampires long enough for me to know that he was trying to hear if there was anyone else in the house.
"Actually, I was also hoping to see how Renesmee was doing... Is she here?" Nahuel asked. Nessie? Why THE HELL was he here to see Nessie?
"Not at the moment but she's on her way here from school. She shouldn't be long" Alice answered. Nahuel quickly turned to Bella and Edward.
"She is attending school?" Nahuel questioned to Edward and Bella. He sounded both interested and confused.
"Yeah, We thought it would be a good idea for her to go to school. So she can have friends and get her mind off of everything else, you know" Bella said. Nahuel looked around the room. Scanning it like he was familiarizing himself with it and looking at pictures of Nessie that were framed when she was like 9 or 10 years old. He took a long look at me. And I looked at him back. With that look I could tell right off the bat that we weren't going like each other even though we kinda ready didn't.
"And she is doing well with her-" Nahuel was cut off.
"Renesmee is doing fine!" Edward interrupted very rudely. Edward had this evil death stare, and I'm way to familiar with that look because it's the same look he gives me all the time. I wondered what Nahuel was thinking to make Edward angry like that?
"Really?... How would you explain Renesmee's behavior around humans. I'm sure it's great since you send her off alone to school" Nahuel said in this sarcastic voice like he really didn't believe Renesmee's "behavior" but something tells me he was talking about her thirst wasn't that under control like we all thought it was. But before anyone could answer, Nahuel turned his head then turned his body away from us. He stood there like he was waiting for someone to enter the room then I saw everyone else's head turn. The room was quiet so I heard a car come in the driveway. The car parked and the engine was turned off and I heard the car door open then close.
"Yeah, I'm home now" I heard Nessie say from outside.
"Because I'm not at Jeremy's house. I'm at grandparents's house... I told you, I was going to spend the weekend here and that's why I couldn't come with you to your little cousin's kid party" Nessie said as she walked towards the house. She laughed as she opened the front door.
"Okay... okay" she said laughing walking upstairs.
"Oh that's right. Thanks for reminding me because I had completely forgot... Alright. I'll see you Monday... Okay. Bye" Nessie said and finally entered the room. She just froze there in place when she saw Nahuel then she looked over to her father but Alice went beside her.
"Don't be rude" Alice told Nessie but she still stood there looking at him while he looked at her. Nessie's duffle bag slid off her should and fell to the floor that finally scared her back to existence.
"Hi umm I'm Carlie" she said nervously as she pick up her bag and put it back on her shoulder as she took a couple of steps towards him.
"I thought your name was Renesmee" Nahuel questioned.
"It is... Renesmee is my first name and Carlie is my middle name. I use Carlie because it's easier for people, some people don't know how to pronounce it well... But you do. You pronounce it just fine... Hi, I'm Renesmee... But you already knew that of course because you thought my name was Renesmee.. Which is by the way... Why am I still talking? I'm such a spaz" Nessie said talking really fast and nervously. You could hear the low echo of Emmett's 'smooth' as he laughed at Nessie. Nessie turned her head over to Emmett to scowl at him giving Nahuel a light smile. Nahuel smiled at her.
"Do you remember who I am?" Nahuel asked but Nessie just shook her head.
"Of course not. You were a child when we first saw each other and we never officially met. My name is Nahuel" he said and Nessie just continue to look at him trying to remember who he was but it just wasn't coming to her.
"I'm really sorry but I don't remember you" She said looking to her family for help but her family was weirdly just forced on them. And was just sitting there and I don't think Nessie even noticed that I was there. Then Nahuel disappeared and reappeared in like in a second which made Nessie yelped. I didn't understand what had just happen so I stood up but Nahuel was right in front of Nessie and handed her a stuffed animal.
"Ms. Cuddles? You got this from my room... You're a vampire?" Nessie asked him amazed.
"I think the correct term would be Hybrid" Nahuel said. I saw Nessie smile big as she took her teddy bear.
"Oh my god. That's right. I'm really sorry. You would think I would remember the man that saved mine and my family's lives-"
"All I really did was show up"
"Still. Umm thank you by the way. I know it couldn't have been easy to expose yourself to the Volturi for complete strangers"
"It was the right thing to do"
"You look great by the way. That hair looks good on you"
"Thank you, I thought it would make me look more civilized" Nahuel said Nessie laughed. But it was one of those laughs that expanded more than it needed to and Nessie quickly caught on to it so she change the subject.
"Umm. How have you been?" She asked but Nahuel didn't answer. He just got closer to her and looked at Nessie with puzzling eyes then his phone rang and he pulled it out of his jacket pocket, he looked at it then he looked back at Nessie.
"I have to take this. Excuse me" he said and Nessie just nodded and then Nahuel just walked out of the room, well the house actually.
Nessie looked at Rosalie and mouthed "Oh. My. GOD" and Rosalie just smiled.
"Why is he here?" Nessie whispered to us.
"To see you" Rosalie replied in the same tone. Nessie pointed to herself confused "me" she mouthed and Rosalie nodded.
"Nahuel thinks you're more human than you are vampire" Edward said out of no where which caught everyone's attention.
"Well, I mean I am half human" Nessie said.
"His heart and all his sisters's heart beats faster than humans. If he didn't know you, you could pass off as a human" Edward said.
"By your tone. You make it sound like its a bad thing" Nessie said.
Nahuel was outside talking on the phone for a couple of minutes. He was pretty far so I didn't know what he was talking about but I did hear when he came back. And when he did, he went to talking straight to Nessie like there wasn't anyone else in the room.
"Renesmee, if I may ask. What is your diet?" he asked.
"Human food" Nessie answered a bit confused.
"And how often do you drink blood-" Nahuel was cut off.
"Renesmee is just like us, she doesn't live off of human blood" Edward said sounding furious
"So she's never-" Nahuel was cut off again.
"No!" Edward answered rudely.
"Well she only drank human blood the first couple of days after she was born. I She was growing so fast that Carlisle suggested we start getting her use to the animal blood" Rosalie said breaking the awkward moment that Edward was causing and awkward silence that he left. I soon felt something lightly hovering over me. It was Bella's shield. Nessie looked over at Bella confused on why she had her shield over her.
"When was the last time you hunted Renesmee?" Nahuel asked and Nessie turned to him.
"Well I never really technically ever hunted before" Nessie answered. Nahuel looked at Nessie was shocking and amazing eyes when she told him she never really hunted before.
"Everything about you is so human. I mean from the color of your eyes, from your physical appearance. I couldn't even be able to tell that you were half vampire. I mean your heart beats just like a human and your smell..." Nahuel just paused
"What? Do I smell bad? Cause I don't always smell like this. I just came from cheer practice and-" Nahuel cut Nessie off.
"No, quit the opposite actually" He said in a very flirtatious way which made Nessie blush a bit.
Nahuel stayed for like 3 hours. He had everyone but me, Emmett, Bella and Edward hooked on a couple of his stories. Nessie was so fascinated by him and I don't even know why? Every now and then we would each these looks, looks that I normally share with Edward. This guy was giving me a really bad vibe like something wasn't right about him. He looking like he was acting like he was being completely fake. And this act that he had was all for show. This show he was putting on was obviously for Nessie. That would explain Edward's behavior towards him and why Bella would shield me and Nessie and if not Nahuel too. I knew Nessie thought he was attractive because all vampires were. that was like their thing, they were all just inhumanly beautiful. I tried to make it seem like it didn't bother me but it did. And it bother me a lot.
"Bella, Edward if you don't mind I would like to do some test on Renesmee before I go" Nahuel said.
"No, of course" Bella was quick to answer.
"Now for your permission" He said to Nessie
"It's not really necessary. I can tell you anything you wanna know" Nessie said. Nahuel just nodded and he let out his hand.
"Can I see your hand?" Nahuel asked and Nessie give him her hand. Nahuel took it and he gently glided his fingertips on the palm of his hand. He moved his hand to her index finger. he did something to her finger which made Nessie pull away.
"Ow" she let out and rubbed her index finger with her other hand. By the reaction in the room I think Nessie was bleeding and then Nahuel was gone but returned with his vampire speed and he had a kitchen knife in his hand. He holds the knife up to show Nessie and with the other hand he grabs the blade and squeezes and slides his hand cutting himself with signs of no pain. Then he shows it to Nessie and the knife clearly made a cut but he didn't bleed and the cut started to fade and then it was completely gone.
"Can you tell me why a small prick hurts you and cant heal. Well I just did?" Nahuel questioned to Nessie. But she was so shocked and amazed just like everyone else. Even I wanted to know why Nessie could feel pain and Nahuel can't and the question we have all been asking was why Nessie couldn't heal herself.
"What kind of test?" Nessie asked.
"Some test that Carlisle use to do when you were a child and some others" Nahuel answered.
"Yeah, okay" Nessie agreed.
"Everything you'll need is upstairs" Carlisle informed Nahuel.
"Actually if you wouldn't you mind joining me Carlisle" Nahuel said.
"Of course not" Carlisle said and joined them as they went upstairs.
"Do you still have Renesmee test from when she was a child?" Nahuel asked.
"Yes, I do" Carlisle answered.
"Perfect" Nahuel replied.
Nahuel, Carlisle and Nessie were now in Carlisle's office. I made sure to keep the T.V. volume on low so that I could hear.
"Do you even know what to do with that?" Nessie asked.
"I was once a doctor. So yes, I do" Nahuel answered.
"How old are you?"
"Renesmee, it's not polite to just ask someone how old they are"
"Right, I'm sorry" she apologize.
"So what are you gonna do with that?" Nessie asked.
"I'm going to take some of your blood and compare it to mine. This will give us the results on how much you differ from me" Nahuel answered.
"No! I don't think that's a good idea I mean-" Nessie started and the room was completely empty now.
"May I continue?" Nahuel asked.
An Hour Later
"How much blood do you need?" Nessie asked sounding extremely tired.
"Are you feeling ok?" Nahuel asked
"Getting a little dizzy"
"I just need a couple more simples"
"Those are simples?"
"Renesmee you are half a vampire. Your body shouldn't have trouble with producing more blood if it needs to"
"Nahuel, this should be more then enough. She's never been able to produce large amounts blood" Carlisle informed him.
"Can you feel it? The blood being drained from your body" Nahuel asked.
"Yeah... I feel it... I feel everything" Nessie said again sound tired.
"Renesmee's body is 92 degrees Fahrenheit. 6 degrees below a human's. Yet she's slightly warm to the touch. Heart rate a bit faster then a human's but nothing out of the ordinary. She cannot heal herself. She cannot produce enough blood to keep herself conscious yet she feels what's being done to her. Even a small scratch, a needle. she feels everything. Things that a HEATHY hybrid should not be able to feel" Nahuel said like he was speaking to a recorder but all that I could focus on was the 'not heathy' part. She looked fine, she felt fine. How can she not be heathy? But then I also asked myself. To a hybrid, what is heathy?
Been waiting to post this chapter for a while but I've been getting a lot of comments on my Instagram to upload a new chapter for this story so here is it. When I first started the story I knew I wanted to write it with Nahuel in it and him coming back for Nessie just like Stephanie hinted that he could so tell what you think and how you feel about Jacob quickly comparing himself to Nahuel and comparing Nahuel to Nessie. I hope you guys like the chapter and I hope that you guys like how Nahuel is already telling Nessie things about herself.
