2 weeks before the wedding Leslie realized that she wasn't ready to marry Logan. It had been a tough realization knowing all the plans that had gone into the wedding and knowing things were all set but she also knew it wasn't fair for her to marry Logan when her heart truly belonged to someone else.

"So is everything all cancled"Pete asked.

"Finally, Britt finished cancelations last night and Kat called the rest of the guests" Kelly said.

"How's Leslie"Pete asked.

"She's fine and I think Logan's alright to, I'm not going to argue that she didn't do the right thing because she didn't want to get married when she loved someone else"

"Let me guess MJ Casey" Pete questioned as he reached up and took down one of the sings off the swing set. Kelly had come over to help take down the swings off the swing set for the winter and paint the living was out with Lizzie having a girls day out.

"You got that right" Kelly said.

"Can't say I'm surprised"Pete replied.

"I knew from the beginning that that relationship was doomed but I learned along time ago that we have to let our kids make their own mistakes,can't protect them forever"Kelly said.

Pete nodded as he carried the swings to the shed, "so has she talked to MJ yet"

"Just to tell him the wedding was off, her friend Paul was going to help her move out he needs a new roommate "Kelly replied.

Pete unlocked the shed,"Paul works with her right"

" He's in charge of truck 17,she met him last week when she started over there on 56"Kelly replied.

"Kind of like Dejavoo isn't it"Pete asked.

Kelly nodded, "it's a bit freaky but he's got a nice place and he's a great guy"Kelly said

"How's Logan"Pete asked.

"Leslie said he was upset but mostly because of everything being all finalized,he told her he wanted her to be happy and if she wasn't going to be happy with him then she shouldn't marry him just because he asked her to"

"At least he's taking it alright"Pete said as they headed inside.

"So what's next"Kelly asked.

"Finish painting my living room,Shay and I did the first coat last night we were up till 3 am"Pete yawned.

"Did you think about calling anyone else"Kelly asked.

Pete laughed, "the last time Ottis was in my house with a paint brush,Cruz left here looking like he had been dipped in a vat of peptobismol"

Kelly then laughed himself, "was that when you painted Shay's room"

"Yeah before it got painted yellow"Pete said as there was a knock on the door.

"Come in"Pete called as he cracked open a can of Paint.

"We brought you guy's some food and some help"Brittany said as she Gabby came in followed MJ,Noah,and Andy.

"Hmm Pizza" Pete said.

"And good beer"Kelly replied.

"Very true"Pete said.

"Leslie called she's all moved into her new apartment,she said to stop by anytime"Brittany said.

"Good" Kelly said.

"So what exactly happened" Gabby questioned.

"She broke off her engagement because she doesn't want to marry him when she loves someone else" MJ said.

Gabby smiled, "You better catch that fish before it swims away again"

MJ scowled, "who said I wanted to catch that fish or that that fish wants me to catch it"

Noah rolled his eyes as he bit his pizza, "are you stupid"

MJ raised an eyebrow, "not stupid but you have to remember she broke up with me"

Noah could not believe his ears, "She broke up with you because you cheated on her and she didn't want to get hurt again, but she obviously still loves you she broke up her engagement and canceled her wedding because she knew that she didn't want to be with someone else" Noah barked.

MJ sighed knowing Noah was right, "I think I'll let her come to me, she did just get out of a relationship and I don't want to smother her"

As everyone finished up painting Shay and Lizzie got home, "it looks so good" Shay said

"It does, did you guys have fun" Pete asked.

"Yeah we did, is there still pizza left" Shay asked.

"There is lots of pizza left" Pete replied.

"Sweet" Shay said.

Pete pulled his daughter into a hug, "go grab yourself some dinner Monky".

"Will do" Shay said as she headed toward the kitchen.
