Name: Tara
Appearance: Dark blue/gray hull with white superstructure and gold eyes. Has unusual circular patterns on both sides of her bow.
Identifying Feature: Green half-moon painted on both sides of her bridge.

Bio: Tara is a very old healer who predates even the Ancients themselves. She is said to have seen the beginning and end of the universe itself and carries the wisdom of the stars. It was she who was responsible for the Ancients' creation. She became a mentor to Titanic, teaching her how to hone her skills taught to her by another Ancient, Britannia. Helping the young ship prep for her inevitable disaster in order to teach mankind a valuable lesson. Saving it from itself. During these training sessions Tara and Titanic became very close. While Britannia taught Titanic how to fight, Tara taught her how to heal and showed her that although she was being used as a weapon, she was not necessarily against humanity. Her disaster was meant to help save it. Through these lessons a bond formed, keeping Tara within the Ancients realm as she couldn't travel beyond it without Titanic.

After Titanic died, she joined her mate and went with her across the stars, appearing and disappearing regularly from Earth's star bound ancestors. When Titanic was raised and reborn as Warrior, once again Tara was forced by the constraints of the bond to remain within Earth's boundaries. She joined the Royal Navy, her vast knowledge and experience allowing her to rise rapidly through the ranks although she near constantly refused command. She is the Navy's chief healer based out of Southampton, allowing her to remain close to Titanic.

Personality: Tara at first glance is immature, lacking in social graces (although she has gotten better through her current interactions) and seems almost ADD in her attention span. But all this is a ruse to hide just how clever she really is. She loves enough for a hundred ships, has a temper that is feared by all, and above all is fiercely loyal and protective of those she cares about. She cares deeply for this world and has done many things, some of them unspeakable in their intensity, to keep it safe. She is incredibly powerful and could likely take over the world single handedly but unlike those whom she frequently comes into conflict with, she respects humanity's right to rule themselves.

Tara likes to avoid interference and has often sat on the sidelines while tragic events unfold. This has made her seem cold but they do not sense what she can and that she knows that interference in certain cases would have disastrous consequences. When she does interfere it is one of the few times that her true self can be seen clearly. She can be kind and compassionate but her temper is feared by all and with good reason. Tara's number one rule is never to mess with or try to harm someone close to her. If that rule is broken she will show no mercy and her fury will be unleashed. She becomes like an oncoming storm, furious, filled with lightning rage, and unstoppable.

Tara is a wanderer and can never stay in one place for long but she has stated she would gladly live out the rest of her days on Earth as a simple healer for Titanic's sake. Her desire to run is born from a painful past that only Titanic has knowledge of and has shared little with anyone but this much we do know:

A long time ago, there was a war and Tara's people were caught up in it. The war dragged on and became so intense that it threatened the universe itself. Tara made the unthinkable choice to sacrifice her world for the sake of all the others and ended the war in one cruel but merciful stroke. Genocide of her own people! Although she has said she would do it again in a heartbeat if she had to, Tara is still plagued by guilt and so is almost always on the move to avoid having to confront those painful memories. Which she has had to now that she chose to remain with Titanic. Titanic has said that she would break the bond between them to allow Tara the freedom to wander the stars again but Tara has refused her each time she asks. "I would rather suffer the pain of my mistakes a thousand times, than spend one day in harmony with them without you." She has said.
