The Wasp drones approach and prepare to fire, as the mother held her two children tight, but suddenly some of the drones were destroyed as a shield appeared from it

Captain America appeared and grabbed his shield as he protects the mother and his two children, with the VNN news crew seeing recording the whole thing

President Howard is seen with Carol Danvers and other SHIELD agent including the Director as they see live on screen Captain America in California, as the VNN News crew commentated
Shelly Cord (on screen): Jim, is that who I think it is?
Jim (on screen): Shelly, Captain America has arrived in disputed California territory and appears to be defending the refugees
John Howard: What!? Carol! I gave him a direct order to stand down!

As he fires his webbing, Spider-Man got Captain America up to the top floor, and manages to get near a window

The two heroes jumped out of a window before Iron Man's Repulsor blast hit the building they were in as it blew up

Spider-Man grabbed Captain America and fired his webbing. Swinging away from the blast but sees a young boy in trouble from the Wasp Drone

Captain America: I SEE HIM! THROW ME THERE!

Spider-Man threw Captain America as he manages to grab the boy and protected him with his shield. Holding the boy tight as Captain America smashes through the Wasp Drones with his shield

Back in the studio, Shelly Cord is seen with her political analyst watches on screen Captain America's name appear on the polls and quickly gaining points
Shelly Cord: Did you see that!? Unbelievable footage ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing an incredible development in two fronts. As Captain America fights in the West Coast, and his name emerges on the polls as a write-in candidate in the presidential recall election
Professor Frank: That's right, Shelley, by the special election rules, ant America citizen is eligible as a write-in candidate. And my goodness, since Cap's name was written in as a potential candidate his poll numbers are climbing faster then we could count

The Ultimates continue their assault against the drones, who have manage to protect as many refugees as they can possibly save while staying alive
Black Widow: Cap! We're getting these people underground as fast as possible, but the drones won't stop
Spider-Woman: I don't know how long we can hold!
Captain America: Acknowledged, Widow! We need to keep the pressure up until we can outflank them!
Spider-Man: You guys! Are you even done!?
Jocasta: We're nearly done! Just a few more seconds!
Iron Man: Anthony! How's it going buddy!?
Anthony (AI): Nearly got it! And there!
Jocasta: Give me control of it!
Anthony (AI): It's yours!
With few seconds to spare, Anthony has successfully hacked the Wasp's AI system and passed control over to Jocasta. With the drones now under her control, as the Wasp Drones stop firing on the Ultimates and the refugees
Iron Man: There. Got it
Hawkeye: Damn, that was close
Spider-Man: Oh man. Spider-Woman, you okay?
Spider-Woman: I'm alright
Jocasta: The Wasp drones are now under our control. Good job Anthony
Anthony (AI): Thanks, Ms. Van Dyne

Thor and Sif stand on top of the command bunker, with Stature surrounding it, as the two West Coast leaders came out surrendering

Jocasta carries the boy as he waves to Captain America, while the rest of the team regroup and reflect on what has happen

On the location where the spark of light is seen, the City's scientists have been studying it in hopes to better understand it. Ultron then appears and speaks with First Judge

First Judge: As we've suspected. This almost bares similarities to the inter-dimensional barrier first studied by the Maker involving the Negative Zone. However, this is quite different. Our readings detect small level of tachyon particles coated
Ultron: My scanners also trace radiation levels of void particles. This cannot be
First Judge: It is, and what we've discovered a few hours ago is that the light that was small the first time it was spotted has increased a small inch as to what it was
Ultron: I do not understand the cause of it. Requesting further study of this anomaly
First Judge: And what will you do in the mean time?
The City:

Ultron is met with the other Secret Ultimates via holographic communication and discuss with them the light that appeared outside the City and how it's slowly growing
Xorn (holo-com): This is unexpected
Basilisk (holo-com): It is. Are you sure about this?
Ultron: Affirmative. What we've discover so far is this light somehow is distributing a small amount of tachyon particles and it is slowly increasing in size in a small amount of percentage
Basilisk (holo-com): But if it gets any bigger then we'll be looking at the possibility of it engulfing the City as a whole
Ultron: Correct. Further study is require to estimate the time of increase
Xorn (holo-com): You think there is a possibility of evacuation?
Basilisk (holo-com): We can't rush this unless it is sorted, but it would give us a vast amount of time to sort this out much early as we can
Ultron: Anything else you suggest, Basilisk?
Basilisk (holo-com): I'm not sure. I feel like I have seen something like this, but I need to check this out just to make sure
Xorn (holo-com): What do you mean, Basilisk?
Basilisk (holo-com): …When my old team were still alive we've encounter people from different plains of time. Mainly in the future, and some of them we've manage to travel to the future. My late friend, Hank, has studied particles that are somewhat similar to what your readings are saying
Ultron: You think this light might be leading from the future?
Basilisk (holo-com): I'm not sure, but if it is as I think it is then we might be looking at a clear situation that will put all of us at risk
Xorn (holo-com): Well this could be problematic for us if this continues
Ultron: Possible defense counter-measures must be planned immediately, but if possible to prevent this matter
Xorn (holo-com): Agreed. If the light can appear near the City then it might also appear in our states
Basilisk (holo-com): That won't happen, but that might also be troubling for us anyway
Ultron: Suggestion, Basilisk?
Basilisk (holo-com): There is one who has some experience on this kind of thing, but I'm not sure if we would need his help

Spider-Man and Spider-Woman arrived to join up with the rest of the Ultimates, as they stand at the inauguration of Captain America, who just arrived and stood at a podium as he speaks in front of a crowd of news broadcasters
Captain America: Thanks for coming today. I'll try to make this quick. I am honored to be elected President by the people of the United States, but I am a soldier, not a politician. America is deep in crisis. We're divided, mistrustful, nervous, and scared. America has asked me to lead them. I ask America to look within themselves. My grandmother always said, ask not for challenges equal to our strength, but for strength to equal our challenges. To the children, I know what it is like to grow up in desperate times. I was taught that everyone must do their best. That we must do everything we can to take care of each other. No exceptions. We all must live up to our potential. That when we are called, we must answer, or we are lost. I look at America right now, broken, in pieces, and I remember. I risked everything to answer a call. I realize I can do more to serve my country. I know I can do more to live up to my potential. This crisis calls us all to do our best. To rebuild our fragile unity. Everywhere around the country, the citizens of America cheered that Captain America is now the new President of the United States, with the other Ultimates congratulating him. However, on top of the buildings in Times Square, Kang is seen as she watches the people cheering, but knows well another part of the plan is taking place
Kang: Well this is done. Now I wait for the next move. It's time you start impressing me
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey again. Sorry that I took long, but I had to finish up a chapter from one of my story.
I've been trying to figure out how I can do this chapter, and I had to edit a couple of bits out and rewrite some of them. I originally planned to have Jessica with Peter to meet Aunt May and the others, but that somehow didn't work out. I might do it later on a different volume
I've also been trying to improve some of the action scenes, but that might also need more work
Anyway, this volume is almost done and hopefully I might get to work on the next one. No guarantees it wll be up soon as I have other stories to do
