Skye POV

A few days later, Violet was feeling better. It was the day of Skye's doctor's appointment. She took Violet with her to the doctor's office.

"Now," Skye said. "You stay in the waiting room. I'll be back soon."

"Are you still not exactly sick?" Violet wondered.

"Yes."

"Okay."

Skye left the waiting room. She sat down in another room.

"Hello," The doctor said, coming in the room.

"Hello."

"Today I'll be checking in on the baby."

"Okay."

The doctor had her lie down. She spread some cold jelly on Skye's stomach. She put a device on her stomach. There was a picture on the screen.

"That's your baby," The doctor said.

"Wow," Skye said. "That's my baby."

"I'm assuming this isn't your first pregnancy."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, that girl out there is your daughter, correct?"

"No. She's my little sister."

"Oh, okay. So this is your first."

"Yes."

After the examination was done, Skye went to the waiting room, scheduled another appointment and took Violet home.

"Why did you have to go to the doctor?" Violet wondered on the way home.

Skye hesitated. Should she tell her sister that she was going to be an aunt?"

"I'm going to have a baby," Skye admitted.

"You are?" Violet asked in amazement.

"Yep."

"Where is it?"

"In my tummy."

"Why?"

"Well, because that's where it grows."

"Oh, okay."

When they got home, Skye sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.

"What are you watching?" Violet asked.

"Nothing."

"Okay."

Violet sat down next to her and they proceeded to watch some hallmark movie. Violet thought it was gross.

"Why do they have to keep kissing?" She asked.

"I don't know," Skye replied, switching the TV off. "What do you want to do?"

"I want to know why you're not telling Mr. Coulson that you're having a baby."

"How do you know that? Did you read my mind?"

"Not on purpose."

Skye sighed.

"The reason," She said. "That I'm not telling Mr. Coulson that I'm having a baby is that there are rules against having babies in Shield. If I have one, I could get kicked off the team."

"You're lying. You don't want them to find out that the daddy is Mr. Grant."

"Stop reading my mind."

"I'm sorry."

Skye put her head in her hands.

"It's okay," She said after a minute. "It's not your fault. I should have told you this sooner."

"Are you going to go back to Shield?" Violet wondered. "I want to see May and Miss Jemma and Miss Bobbie and Mr. Hunter and Fizz and Mr. Coulson again."

"I don't know. I don't know if they'd accept me anymore."

"Why wouldn't they accept you?"

"Because the daddy is Mr. Grant. They don't like Mr. Grant."

"Because he did bad things?"

"Yes."

"Well, you didn't do bad things, so why would they be mad at you?"

"It's complicated."

"Okay."

Violet got up and got out a book. She sat back down on the couch and read. Skye got up and took out her cell phone. She called Coulson.

"Hey, Coulson," She said. "I need to talk to you."
