Inuyasha POV

'She's so beautiful and….and…sweet. How did I end up with this priestess?'

I thought as we walked hand in hand and in silence. Kagome held my hand tight and I looked down at her. She had a sleepy look on her face and I stopped. I knelt down and said.

"Here Kagome, just get on my back. I'll carry you"

She didn't protest. She climbed on and we started to walk again. It wasn't long until I heard her heartbeats go slower, signaling her slumber. Sango had climbed aboard Kirara and was flying slowly beside us. Shippo had fallen asleep again and Miroku was onboard Kirara with Sango, fast asleep with Shippo and leaning onto Sango's back.

'I'm surprised that pervert hasn't tried to do anything yet.'

'He's gonna try, trust me. He's gonna try.'

I inwardly moaned, annoyed at once.

'What the fuck do you want? Oh, let me guess, to annoy me about mating with Kagome? Well guess what….IM WAITING SO BE FUCKIN PATIENT!'

'Listen up, you stupid mutt. I am not gonna pester you about mating with her! Dammit, you're annoying, anyway. I am trying to tell you what might happen when we do mate with her since that disgusting bastard you call your half-brother, didn't wan to…educate us about the mating rituals and shit like that'

'Whoa hold on, wait a minute. I thought it was just the bite on the neck and the exchange of blood?'

'Oh my god…you're getting stupider by the minute. No, you dumbass. You should know there is more to it than that! When a demon male mates with a demon female, their blood becomes captivated with the other demons auras. When the male marks, or bites, the female, he is giving her a physical marker showing the female is his. There is also a scent mark that shows the female or male is your intended. Your mark is already upon her, all you need is the physical mark. In order to give the physical mark with out issues is to do it when you have sexual intercourse

'As you have sexual intercourse, not only do you mark, you give the mate your blood. Only about a small bowl full. After that's done, you lick the forehead of the mate. Just a line going upwards. The mate will do the same thing you have done, but since Kagome is human, all she has to do is lick your forehead, give you some of her blood, and have sexual intercourse with you. After that….you can have your fun.'

I was flushed after that. I felt my right eye twitch and I took a deep breath.

'So you're telling me I have to do ALL of that? Just for her to become my mate?'

'…..well duh'

'What could be side effects or what could go wrong?'

'One side effect is permanent. She might become a half-demon like you. MIGHT. It's not known if she will or not. Her powers might become more powerful and she'll be able to sense jewel shards and/or auras faster if they are farther away. She will be able to sense when someone or something is going to attack like we can.'

'Did you say she might become one of us?'

'Nope, didn't say a word'

'Dammit! That cannot happen. How can we avoid that?'

'You can't! You cannot avoid her changing into a half demon. But I said MIGHT change, I didn't say she was GOING to…..god your such a dumbass'

'Feh'

I felt Kagome jolt and she squeezed my haori while whispering to me in a panicked voice.

"Inuyasha, I sense Naraku. He's towards the trees in front of us."

I growled and yelled out to the sleeping duo on Sango's back.

"Miroku! Shippo! Wake up! Naraku's in front of us getting ready to attack."

They jolted awake and they sat up, miroku gripping his prayer bead. Kagome breathed in deeply as Naraku appeared his usual evil smirk on his filthy face.

"So you sensed my aura and jewel shards Kagome? Excellent. That just makes this more fun"

I bellowed out.

"Shut up Naraku! You're not going to have any fun until your DEAD!"

I unsheathed my sword and yelled out.

"ADAMANT BARRAGE!"

My sword turned to crystal as shards shot out at lightning speed. All of a sudden, I saw two sacred arrows shoot one after another. The arrows and shards fused together, creating a blinding light and a powerful attack. We heard a yell of pain and there floated Naraku's body parts. His torso and head were still intact and he yelled out furiously, looking behind me. I knew what he was looking at.

"DAMN YOU! You will pay for this Kagome!"

I felt Kagome jump off and the ground started to shake as I heard footsteps run away as fast as they could.

"YOU WONT EVEN TOUCH MY WOMAN!"

I growled as Kouga slammed his foot into Naraku's face. All of a sudden, another arrow came from my left and then another one. They struck Naraku and he yelled out. Kouga jumped over to me, yelling.

"Where the hell is Kagome?"

"She ran off!"

'And I don't know where to. Damn it Kagome, can't you even tell me where the hell you run off to!"

We both turned and I widened my eyes at the sight I looked at. Kikyo and Kagome standing beside each other on the ledge of a cliff into the rocky ravine we were now in, bows and arrows notched and ready to shoot.

Kagome POV

I could not believe what was going on. Kikyo stood beside me but her usual emotionless face held much determination and seriousness, it scared me. I gasped as she looked at me and said, smirking.

"Thought you could get rid of me so easily?"

"H…How did you come back? I thought I…"

My voice trailed off and she huffed. She said.

"You did kill me, but my soul resides in you so I am still here."

I subconsciously reached out to her bare wrist and gasped and what I felt. Warmth, up and down the places I touched. I saw the sweat beads run down her face and I breathed out, recoiling my hand from her.

"Your alive now?"

Inuyasha POV

I widened my eyes as Kagome recoiled her hand from the bare wrist of Kikyo and I knew what was happening. Kikyo was in her original body. Kikyo was here in person. Kikyo was now warm and alive.

Kagome POV

Kikyo smirked again.

"Yes, I am alive again. The hate I had for Inuyasha is no longer in my heart. For I know that when I was in that impersonation of a body, I hated him for no demonstrated reason. Inuyasha was not the one to blame, but he was the one I thought betrayed us. He was hated by the soul I had. Your soul brought me back to life."

"My soul brought you back? But Kikyo, I killed you!"

"Yes you killed me but Midoriko thought that since I died a horrible death the first time-"

She chuckled and I shivered.

"I deserved the existence I never had. You let me have that chance. If I did not die, I would still be in the hollow body. In pain and collecting souls of dead women. I am now a being who is alive. I now get the chance to get my revenge against Naraku. "

I breathed out but I suddenly got a wave of determination mixed with happiness. I smirked and took my stance again, notching my arrow while saying.

"I guess it's time for you to be able to kick his ass now. You ready to?"

We looked at each other while smirking and she said, chuckling again.

"Such strong language for a young priestess."

"Blame it on Inuyasha, not me"

We smiled and we got ready as Naraku regenerated and Inuyasha and Kouga got back to reality. I said.

"When he turns, the jewel isn't gonna be there. He has the jewel in his body. I can't tell where because the jewel is so tainted."

"I can't tell either."

We both breathed and Naraku turned his angry face at us. He yelled out.

"Kikyo! How are you still alive?"

She narrowed her eyes, but kept her smirk.

"Why would I tell that to you? It might just increase your slow mentality on how to kill me again."

He growled and she said.

"Three…two…one!"

We stood straight and we pulled our arrows back. Then, as we let go, our powers fused together and the power was so big, every one had to jump back so they wouldn't be hit by the blinding power. We heard a scream of pain and the glow of our power disappeared. Naraku lay motionless and we put our arrows down. However, in our readiness to celebrate, the body twitched, moved and got back up, regenerating in the process. Kikyo and I looked at each other and I growled inwardly.

'Here we go again.'
